As a hotel it seems a little less than being two stars does not even have special attractions, in addition to having a shelter in which they have not taken care of having Almenos a little cleaner and modern at least in the corridors that overlook the elevators so that the Guests of the rest of the hotel are not taking bad impressions and what it means that it stinks and that it is ugly, at least a little bit of aesthetics and so that the people who are there do not feel less are also people for those floors they should also charge enough to the government and also the treatment of the buttons to those people should be more cordial, because these people are there for some reason or another and do not deserve any rejection. Thank you and happy new year PD if you do not want your customers to mix with the people who live there must instead of having an exclusive elevator for the 22nd floor it must be exclusive for the 6,7,8,9 floor thanks. I do not put a photo to not abound.

Even though I barley sent anytime at this hotel, it was a let down. There should be a disclaimer posted somewhere. What I saw online was not what was presented to me. The lobby was great, however when I got off the elevator- it felt like I was in the twilight zone. I was dark, outdated and dingy looking. 2 stars, the staff was great!

Disappointing Return
Disappointing Return
This is my second stay at this hotel.
Our first stay was in January 2015 and we were told that the hotel was undergoing renovation, which it desperately needed.
On returning, we were very disappointed to see that the rooms are much the same, if not in a worse condition than on our last visit.
Although the hotel is in an excellent location on 7th Ave the rooms are in extremely poor condition. There was wallpaper peeling away at several spots across the room. The furniture is old, tired and marked and the carpet leaves a lot to be desired.
We booked a room with 2 double beds as we were three adults and our room was the same size as a regular room with one double bed in it-except the beds were small doubles in order to fit them in.
The bathroom tiles are all cracked, mould patches dotted around the room.
No fridge in the room to keep drinks cool. Beds rickety and uncomfortable.
There was a lovely large television is the room.
During our stay we returned to our room one afternoon to find that the door had been left ajar after cleaning. This obviously alarmed us and although there seemed to be nothing missing from our room we informed the manager of what had happened so that it didn t happen again.
Overall if you can overlook the fact that this hotel is in dire need of renovation it is in a good location. As we were expecting it to have been renovated and our room did not exactly fit with the picture on our booking we were really disappointed.

If your looking for something high class and luxurious this is not the place to go. Or something good for the amount of money you pay, this is not it! The rooms are legit almost falling apart. (I have pictures I will try to post) Very unsanitary and dirty. The bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The smell of urine smells up the entire bedroom. We had to bleach our own bathroom and room. There is not mini fridge and better yet you have to pay extra for a microwave. Motel 6 atleast offers both for less money and its nicer!

The Manhattan at Times square made my visit to New York very pleasurable!!! This hotel is located in a great place. It is in walking distance to shopping, dinning , and entertainment. The building is outdated and in middle of renovation, however the rooms are clean and comfortable. The customer service is a five star!!! I would like to give special thanks to the following staff members for being extremely accommodating......Maxine Elliot and Dorothy who work the front desk, Keith H. a manger who helped with reservation, Edgar/Gerson who kept me cool with my A.C. unit, and Yvette for making sure my room was clean. I would recommend this hotel if you want to experience times square and enjoy the wonderful hospitality! I would definitely stay again. Thank you!!!!!!!

Overall I was pretty happy with my stay here. Check in was a breeze, staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel was right smack in the middle of everything I wanted to experience while in New York. But, there was room for improvement. I don't mind the outdated look of the rooms, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. When we showed up, the tub was kinda scummy (brown spots and even some hair). But, the bed was comfy, and the room was spacious.

Pretty mediocre. - Rooms ... Disappointing - Regular bathrooms - poor facilities. It's not that the hotels in New York are all really good ... And even less those that are not very expensive. I think it's something that everyone should improve.

It's an affordable place to stay near times Square in a non frills 3 star hotel. I read lots of reviews blasting it, and I can tell you only my experience. Our room was clean, no smell as others report and very spacious (about 45-50 sq meters) . It was cleaned well each day. The heater and plumbing worked quite well. The bathroom had some small signs of mildew but nothing serious to complain about. Overall was happy here.

I had the room from hell! My bed was hard like a slab of concrete. The shower/tub was stopped up. There were cob webs hanging from the light fixture in the bathroom. The heat was broken. My room was not serviced the first day...whew
The staff attempted to rectify the situation by moving me to another room...it was slightly better. Nonetheless, I didn't expected to have this experience after paying over a thousand dollars for my room.
If you have the opportunity to stay somewhere else in Times Square....please do....stay anywhere but this hotel.

Where do I start.. the lobby reception team was excellent. After that everything went downhill.. the carpet on the floors were dirty, worn and stained. Entering my room, the first thing I noticed was paint peeling from the ceiling. The wood furniture old and worn out. The restroom had patchwork wallpaper, tile floors dirty and stained. The carpet in the room was frayed and looked dirty. oh, here's the kicker, the tissue holder rested on the sink, with no tissue container inside it, just two pieces fanned out on the top of the holder to make it look pretty. did I mention only one of the lamps worked. You get the picture.......

I give it 2 stars only because the staff at the hotel was amazing. Beyond the lobby expect section 8 housing conditons. Once elevator doors open to room floors expect ripped carpets, dirty rooms, uncomfortable beds and the worst for our stay was the neighbors who apparently reside here and fight every single night while there child screams till at least 1 am. We didn't get any rest! Spend the extra money to stay anywhere else.

This hotel is located near Times Square, where I stayed overnight for New York sightseeing. Not only is the access to the destination great, but the facilities are also very good.
It is a place where many Koreans stay, so even if it is a bit expensive, I think it is a good place to enjoy New York.
In particular, it is a hotel where you can enjoy Times Square late at night, have a beer, and then walk to your accommodation and see people coming to New York early in the morning.
There is an advantage that you can save time because you can drop the key in the box when checking out.

The Location is great, and I mean absolutely perfect! But the room I stayed in at this hotel is not so perfect. If you book here be aware that you are paying for the Location and not a beautiful or even nice room. Clean for the most part but totally outdated and very very worn. Apparently they are slowly upgrading the rooms. The one I stayed in was supposed to be a Deluxe room but felt and looked like a Motel 6.

The hotels location is great, it's just a few minutes away from Time Square and the beds were somewhat comfortable.
Unfortunately the hotel is completely falling apart. The rooms have paper thin walls ( I could hear my neighbor cough and everything going on down the hall) and some of the wallpaper was hanging down.
The carpet was also filthy. Just walking down the hallway is depressing, the lights are dim and the carpet was all loose, it was all bunched up (trip hazard).
I stayed here about 12 years ago and it appears they haven't done anything to upgrade it.
It's pretty sad that such a historic place would be so unkept.

Clean hotel and very friendly staff. Think that in NY you are going to sleep to the hotel you do not need glamorous rooms the enormous and supercombed bed. We also played the room from which part was filmed and the CSI NY inteja jajajaj

My family & I arrived @ 7pm. Check-in time is @ 4pm & the room was not ready. We waited in the lobby for about an hour & the room they said was ready had a pizza box on the floor & beds unmade. Needless to say an error was made in communication. The next room had candy wrapper on the floor, bathroom tub had a crack in it & the shower knob came off. However, they did provide us with free breakfast as well as took the facility charges & $100 off the bill. The room had a great view.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. After complaining directly about the first room (brown FRESH stains in the bath, makeup remnants on the towel, hair in red and black on the floor and yellow stains on the sheets) I got another, probably already refurbished room. This was newer and cleaner, but how the hotel is managed has been clearly seen here: maximum return, minimal investment. The shower was never really warm, by the way, others have already criticized. I strongly advise for this absurd price of this hotel!

Took my family there for a NYC vacation. My girls 13 year old daughter found a open condom wrapper left on the floor. There was mold in the bathroom. The ceiling was falling apart. The room had a gross musty smell to it. The drawers had stains in them. The lobby was very nice but it's what's behind closed doors. Stay away!

Excellent location. A few blocks from time square and central Park. Close to the metro with which combinations are made and you get anywhere in Manhattan. The hotel is very large, so at peak times you line up to take the elevators. Point against is that it does not have a minibar in the room. For the rest, 100% recommended.

Location is excellent and the hotel is cheap for the location. However, the rooms are less nice than even 3 star places in other cities. The hallway outside the room was narrow with old, frayed carpeting. The elevators often had longer waits as well. They have an efficient "grab and go" breakfast though.

The worst experience in NY. The king bed is a mattress on a queen bed with a big hole in the middle of everything. Poor cleaning, corridors full of towels and cleaning utensils that prevent passage in case of emergency, and 30 minutes to wait for an elevator.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. I booked three rooms in this hotel for the group I was traveling with. While the location was fantastic, and the staff was very friendly, I feel that the website is FALSE ADVERTISING! The majority of the rooms look NOTHING like the pictures online. They are old and run down. The wallpaper is peeling, the pipes in the bathroom are rusting, and our bed was sunken in. Everything is dark and dingy. The lobby is beautiful, so I was very excited when we arrived, but as soon as the elevator doors opened onto our hallway I felt as if I were in a horror movie. DO NOT STAY HERE. (Unless you're on the 5th floor...the only floor that has been renovated, and the where they obviously took all of the pictures.)

This place doesn't even deserve one star, this was by far the worst hotel I ever stayed in on my life the rooms depicted in the website or online does not resemble what we stayed in at all the whole building smelled like mold, the wallpaper was peeling everywhere you looked there was dirty fooors and trash everywhere the rooms where small and the beds must of been 60 years old the heat didn't work there was hair and random specs of dirt in the sheets the bathroom was disgusting the television and the lamps were broken and didn't work and the shower curtain looked like something that was from the sewers. The Service, staff, and management was HORRIBLE!!!! Our check in time was at 4 and when we got there around 730 we then waited another hour for our elevator to take us up 10 floors. Once we came to the room it wasn't even ready and was being cleaned the room service told us to wait and it would be done in a half hour, we went all the back down with all our luggage and tried to fix the issue only to be told from one of the nasty employees that "it's not my promblem" and then when we spoke to what the manhattan hotel calls "management" she gave us a attitude and told us to relax and if we didn't they would call security, they finally said we'll take money off the bill but we can't upgrade you. But that was a load of b.s Save your self !!!Do not stay at this dump of a hotel save your money we spent 400$ I rather of slept on the street.

We rated the experience on several different aspects and ended with an average of 2.125. Upon arrival the lobby is very impressive; the hotel lobby is huge with comfortable seating that makes you look childish, it smells like roses, and you won't be able to get closer to Times Square. However the rooms' wallpaper is peeling, the outlets are hidden, the key cards are impossible to get right the first time , and there's no where to throw large pizza boxes without being judged. Also you would have to wait 10 minutes on the elevator and when you finally caught a cart, it was full and you'd have to wait for the next one. They also would block off the stairs when it was really busy. The revolving doors were quite fun, though.
