Lodging fee, $ 40 per day. You have to be careful not to have a surprise. See before. It's only worth it for the location, which is great. Beautiful facade does not match the interior, old carpets, no fridge, lack of maintenance and mostly, the reception staff meets very poorly, especially when we arrived, unfriendly receptionist, is to scare away guests. We arrived in the morning but we could only have the room after 3pm. I think it was the first and last experience at this hotel.

If i could choose no star I would, worst experience i have ever had in a hotel. I am not usually the complainer because I also work in this type of service so I know things can get forgotten and i totally understand but as soon as you get up the elevator it converts into total junk. My room's AC wasn't working, the toilet was plugged, the tub was plugged up, I politely asked them if they could check it out either way we weren't going to come back to the hotel till around 1 am and they said they would, that night the AC worked a bit but the other 2 nights they didn't, on the second night they said they could have a fan in for me and have the AC checked out the next day so I said ok. On the 3rd night my kids couldn't bear it anymore so I asked if i could change rooms and the gentlemen in the receptionist said he would ask his manager (ana) but he came back saying they were full that the only thing he could do was cancel my last night and get a reimbursement, oddly he said I didn't need any paperwork signed nor copies of anything. It has been 2 weeks now and I have not gotten a reimbursement because Ana "has it documented" that i checked out till 1 pm the very next day. When I asked if i can get a copy of the surveillance camera so I can show them who I am exiting the hotel with my luggage they say they cannot use that, nor the receipt I have ending my parking time. WORST HOTEL EVERY DO NOT STAY HERE FOR ANY REASON. THERE IS ANOTHER HOTEL RIGHT ACROSS FOR SIMILAR PRICING.

I start with positive things: the location is great, 5 minutes from Time Square; otherwise there would be a lot to write about. The hotel is very dated, the rooms are not at all like in the picture, are old and stale, with carpets full of stains, but I found the bed and pillows comfortable, large tv and running. As for the staff, I spread a veil. Nobody speaks Italian (on the site it is written yes), never a good morning, never a smile, they are really so rude and unwelcoming, they approach each other only when they think they can get a tip, which by the way they demand only if they open you the bathroom door. I had written more than once to get some info and they NEVER answered me. Availability is equal to 0. The rooms were superficially cleaned every day and towels changed, but they threw me things to eat that I had kept for the evening and were not to be thrown away ... okay ... The thing I found most disturbing of all is the daily fee that applies to $ 35 for the internet, plus another 5.17 that he has not understood what for ... I find it really absurd. I conclude by saying that it is worthwhile only if you decide to stay a few days and want a central position, but there is much much better.

The worst experience by far! My first room was overbooked...walked in on another couple sitting in their room. moved us to another room which we quickly realized had not been cleaned after the previous guests. The maid's cart was outside the room for 28 hrs and never moved. Bathroom was dirty, garbage still in pail, shower floor filthy-wore our sandals. Comforter on bed was all stained. We tried calling the front desk for an hour and a half and NO ONE ANSWERED the phone. We went downstairs to bring it to their attention and nothing was done. We were told, after the huge inconvenience of the overbooked room and having to wait almost two hrs for a new one, that the resort fee would be taken off the bill. That was two months ago and it still hasn't happened. My daughter has terrible food allergies and had asked and paid for a microwave and small fridge, (which is usually in any decent hotel),so she could refrigerate/heat up her food and go out for the one night in NYC. Instead, she waited 4 hrs for them to be delivered to the room, but they never came.I tried calling the front desk- no exaggeration - 2 dozen times. Again, NO ONE answered the front desk phone. I finally spoke to manager, Star, who did nothing to help, then her manager, Martin...He had her take 15% off the total bill which was far too little for this terrible stay. My advice: Steer clear of this hotel!! Plenty of other great ones to choose from!!!!

The location is excellent, a few blocks from points of interest such as Times Square, Central Park or Rockefeller Center.

Also noteworthy is the attention from the staff in general, they are very helpful and friendly. In the lobby they advise you on which places to visit and you can even buy tickets for attractions or tourist buses.

The only thing that could be changed a bit is the decoration of the corridors and the rooms that are somewhat dated. Anyway, it is the least. The rooms had very comfortable mattresses and pillows, and a large television.

I highly recommend choosing this hotel to stay in New York :)

I give the 2 stars purely for the location and friendliness of the staff at the reception. Unfortunately our room was musty, the TV was constantly malfunctioning, it wasn't particularly clean and the light was broken. In the bathroom only 1 out of 3 pears went, that means we had to find our way in the semi-darkness first. After we asked twice to replace the pears, this was done. The bathroom was partly very worn and unsightly. I will definitely not book this hotel again.
The location itself is great, you leave the hotel and are immediately "right in the middle".

Went there the 8th of September and my qualifications for this hotel is hardly 2 stars. First the costumers service is disappointing, the quality of the hotel doesn't match the price they charge for, rooms are dirty and bathroom very old fashioned. I don't recommend this place. For a quarter of the price you can get the same quality hotel a little bit farther from time square

This is not a good hotel to stay at. It s cheap, in every way. The location isn t even worth it because there s a Sheraton, Hampton Inn, Hilton, and a variety of other good hotels with competitive prices in Time Square. The AC doesn t work in half the building yet they still book those rooms out. The rooms are outdated and in desperate need of an upgrade (only the 18th floor and lobby have been remodeled), the bathrooms are old and tiny, the carpets are dirty, and the beds are worn out. The staff is easily confused when you try to change rooms to get one with air conditioning and it s an absolute mess. I highly recommend you spend your money on something with quality.

Perfectly located in Times Square. Lobby is gorgeous. Hotel room we had is very run down and I can overlook a lot of wear and tear. This needs help and maintenance. Toilet runs continually. Rooms are not clean. Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. Probably would be hard pressed to stay here again though.

I would give the condition of the hotel 1 star but due to the friendly staff I added an extra star... The staff in my opinion were helpful. And knowing what I know about this industry the owners need to invest in their product. The rooms are so dated it s obvious and dirty curtains don t help. If it were cleaner I could deal with dated rooms; such as window curtains with stains, stains around lower frame of bed, bathroom tile around base of tube and floors. Yet the lobby was shabby chic and looked amazing. So you almost get the sense that the rooms play off of the lobby as in other hotels, such as The W. After not sleeping well due to not feeling comfortable I started to make a transition to sleep in the lobby which looked better kept than their rooms, but I thought that would be frowned upon. Switching hotels wasn t possible because they were all booked. It was Spring Break... As much money as this hotel is charging guest, a remodel needs to be on the books... even if it s a yr long project one floor at a time... all new carpet, new curtains for the windows. Curtains had visible stains on them. Other than that the only thing going for them is their hospitality. Just improve appearance and add that to the hospitality and you have a winner.

Good location if you are going to New York for the first time. You are one step away from everything you can access by walking or subway to most of the attractions of the city. The room is comfortable and clean but the corridors are very poor, obviously there was never an internal remodeling and the wallpaper looks dirty and neglected. I emphasize the friendliness of the concierges before any concern of the city.

Elegant, structure internally not in good condition. At peak times it is very difficult to take the 'lift. Please note that you will be charged $ 30 a day for wifi, which in most hotels is FREE. We had not been told anything. The rooms need updating.

Very expensive hotel for what it offers.

Very expensive hotel for what it offers.
Well located geographically.
Bad predisposition of staff.
Bad cleaning
State in general old and in ugly conditions.
From the price you pay for the night, you have to add that when you arrive they charge you USD 40 per day for a tax lie for giving you water and internet.
I do not recommend it.

The room was confortable and the price was right, but it the room itself has less illumination that the shown in the pictures. The hallway of the floor needs more work, feels old and left behind. The reception desk staff were friendly and the location is the best.

I found out they are a cheap for a reason. Constantly overbooked, according to night manager. We had to be upgraded (darn) and just pack up and leave our bags at the desk until they had an available room. 8 hours later and 45 minutes them "working on it" we were told to go to the same room and try again the next day. DO NOT EXPECT FRIENDLY SERVICE HERE. location is good, tho. Rooms are just fine, as they would be anywhere in times square.

I'm a pretty positive person. But this hotel misrepresented itself during the booking process. The pictures you see on websites I'm not sure were taken at the hotel. This is a 2 star hotel at best. It has a 5 star location but this hotel Is a hotel 6 located in a great spot in ny. Overall I would never stay here again the staff is rude and when I spoke to the manager she basically told me I was wasting her time. My reviews are always positive but maybe the positive part is that I gave them 2 stars.
My advice is spend the extra 40 dollars and stay at a nice place.

The key to the room did not work. Seven times I have to go down and they did not solve it. after discussing with an employee who only spoke Filipino approached someone and understood my problem and they changed my room

Room is small and dated for the $$$, needs updating pronto, maids in the morning are so loud outside your door chatting laughing and being rude. Shower is good which is a plus in my book, that s why I give 3 stars. Trying to reach the front desk to ask questions good luck, via cell 5+ minutes no response..... in room phone same issue, but over all ok place to stay for the closeness to everything, my girlfriend stayed here last year and her room was updated so ask for an updated room if possible

The extra room fee is a rip off, because we didn t use any of it, Verizon unlimited service no need for wifi, bought in outside drinks, your phone is a computer and it s vacation.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 night with my family (my parents and my two brothers)
The showers are very dirty, old ones, curtains are full of mold.
In general the hotel is bery old one.
We had a situation in the last day and the woman in the reception was not very nice and patient.
The cleaners have a nasty attitude.
The wifi is not easy to use, we had to wait so many time for elevators every time.
The price is not worth what you get.
To sum up, we left the hotel with a bad feeling, we wont come back for sure.

WE HAD TO GO FROM THE HOTEL

WE HAD TO GO FROM THE HOTEL
We arrived at the hotel on November 20 to stay in NY until the 24th and watch the Mays parade and B. Friday shopping. We take 3 rooms because we travel as a Family.
In the early morning of the first day at dawn 21 we went down to reception We spoke with Valerie and Tamara, I have to highlight they treated us very well and apologized for how disgusting the room was only when moving the curtains what came out was a cloud of dust starting lacerations on the body etc. The rest you will see in the photos. They promised to make a room change but we literally fell asleep at reception. Then they informed us that they would make the room change after 3 in the afternoon .... DISASTER when we returned, we were attended by ADAM a complete jerk and his Manager Carlos, who at all costs avoided talking with us, attached the photos.
What we suspected in the change of shift, everything that was promised was forgotten and when we returned to the hotel there was no room to fulfill what was promised, a disaster, we decided to go to Washington where we managed to get a room. Leaving the hotel 2 days before the agreed upon we will only see the Mays parade and we leave. If you want to have your worst experience in NY come here, what is the use of having a good location if when you return to rest you come to have a bad time or face additional treatment like an animal and in the most despicable way possible. The truth is, I feel that they robbed us, I do not even understand how booking can promote this type of situation. Ahhh they have an executive class but if you don't have the profile they want they will deny you. We asked for an upgrade long before we arrived.

Hands down the best place we've stayed in NYC. We travel to see family 3 times a year and always look for new spots to try in the Manhattan / Times Square area. Lots of room and great location!

Furthermore had great experience with the staff. The room itself it serves if you will not stay there for most part of your trip, it is not fancy nor spacious but its all fine.

I booked to stay here for 3 days, I wasn t told about the service fee until I checked in which I don t mind but it s the principal. The rooms are okay but the bath tub had stains and so did the sheets and covers which I had to call for a replacement. I also had to call because the bath tub was clogged with dirty water and the tables had sticky stuff on them. The service is good but the room and hallways are not up to par as shown on the website.

Every part of our stay was made better and more comfortable by the staff. We were blown away by how helpful the staff here were in every imaginable way. The location was perfect for site seeing and the view from our room is one I won't soon forget. Worth every penny.

Central hotel, subway stops at every corner and wallet store within walking distance but: old-fashioned and not very clean room despite having just been prepared for our arrival, so much so that my daughter found a dirty luridino towel .... near the bed . Tents so terribly dirty that they suck. No fridge but acceptable toilets. The thing that bothered me most was the fact that I had to pay 16usd a day for WIFI, which was free at hotels in the same area. And the tone of the concierge's response when we asked if it was mandatory .. "If you don't pay ... you don't use it" accompanied by a look that left little to the imagination and whose translation was "what poor people !! " But poor thing what !! I paid 279usd x night !!!! In the 16 usd the use of the gym was included but ... who goes to the gym when he is in New York ??? We don't ... And we're not going back to Manhattan. Disappointing

No star should be given to this hotel. We went there for our first anniversary and we regret that I should have read the reviews before. The room and the lobby was really dirty. The bathtub was in terrific shape. The water didn t go. It was all yellow. And there was no towel in the room. We ordered towel on the night we went there and we got it next morning. That was too, I had to remind them that we needed towel. People used to wait for elevator for almost 15-20 mins for 1 elevator. Hotel shouldn t be 4 star at all. Deserves no star. Worst hospitality we have ever experienced. Wouldn t recommend this hotel to anyone. Even the front desk people were confused. No one knew anything. I wanted to surprise my husband with this holiday package I booked for us, but it was biggest mistake that I chose this hotel. Totally ruined our day!

Sorry to say this but we are not happy at all with the room that we had. The restroom filled with molds. The room was old, downgraded and not very clean. We paid $200 per night for a room with only had heating on, no A/C. I don't usually like to write a review about places that I'd stayed before. However, this hotel is one that I honestly do not ever want to come back. If you care enough, please clean up the molding in the restroom because it's not acceptable in the hotel industry.

We booked a double bed sized room for a week and were left quite disappointed with the overall experience. Albeit the fact that the matresses were comfortable enough to sleep on, the base of the beds were old and unattractive to the point of looking like they were rotting away. I also dare not imagine how old the carpet was (including plenty of dust found around the back of the beds) and what sort of dust mites we're talking here. Carpets inside bedrooms as well as in the corridors need to be at least steam cleaned guys, but you really ought to replace them! It's simply not good enough for the money you're charging customers. The pictures found on the website are deceiving, and to be honest location alone should not be an excuse for the amount of money you're charging. We did like the reception and the pleasant fragrance, very presentable indeed, but once again it only appears deceiving as the bedrooms are quite the contrary.
