The best thing by far is the location.
Then everything normal, for being a 4 * could be better, but if you do not look for anything of the other world, it is very good.

This place is not bad but the hallways where the rooms after located are kind of messy and they should probably replace some of their mattresses but all in all not a bad place to stay. I would definitely recommend saying here.

Very bad stay. Paid over 600$ for my stay.
Dirty room toilet was backing up in tub. Never offered another room and still waiting for my refund i left 9/4 now 9/24 nothing

The lobby and the staff are very nice, but unfortunately that's where it stops. The room I stayed in was very out dated, with beat up furniture, a bed that was perhaps broken and so worn out I could feel all the springs. With so many other choices within a couple of blocks, definitely not worth what they charge

So let me say this, I rarely, if ever, take the time to do this. However, this time I felt compelled to do so. Room was in poor condition, toilet not working, room was frigid and heat didn't work. What did they say? "It's a cold room" and offered me blankets and a space heater that did just about nothing. I'll say succinctly there are better places nearby for the same if not less money. I wouldn't stay here.

Hotel located 300 meters from Times Square. A little tired but bedding at the top!

I booked a room here in April, when arrival at the hotel the staff was very friendly. I had a room on the 22nd floor and the room was dirty and very very old probably hasn't been updated since the mid 80's the bathtubs was bubbling up and didn't look clean and bed was hard

This hotel is in a great location so that's why I booked a room here but I wasn't going to stay in that room I've stay in motels that's where better then that. So I went down to the front desk and express my disappointment of the room. The front desk guy name Mohammed was very nice and Sincerely apologize and knew that room was outdated and not in good condition for someone to stay in on vacation. He updated me to the executive floor which was freshly renovated and updated very nice. It's on the 18th floor private elevator. So the service at this hotel does care but 80 percent of the rooms are outdated and shouldn't be stayed in.

Good quality price for the area in which it is located; 5 minutes from Time Square, surrounded by commerce and restoration. A bit dated and abandoned maintenance, but apparently clean and passable for an average stay. Attention to the price that is increased by taxes and fees (3 different) per day of stay, which will surprisingly increase the daily price you budget. Another detail for those who are not used to: You have to tip for breathing. Pedigree is the word and do not cut in demanding it. Correct coffee service: coffee, croissant and a fruit 9 dollars plus tip. Attention in correct and affable reception.

People were nice, but received a phone call from the desk at 2 in the morning asking if we ordered pizza, we did not. Also, parking garage overcharges by the hour if you're past 24 hours which no one told us. The receptacles in the room are to the point of an electrical fire. Bathrooms are old and not cleaned the best and you are expected to tip everyone every time they do something for you. The room was never cleaned behind the bed. Would not advise staying there...only reason I have 2 stars was the price was good.

Service was great. Website does not accurately depict the actual experience I had at this hotel. I was traveling on business at we were required to book this place. Honestly, based on the TripAdvisor rating, I probably would've booked with my own funds as long as I didn't read the reviews. The place is in dire need of a remodel. I'll let my pics speak for themselves.

A huge plus is the location and since you don't spend a lot of time in your room, you may find your accommodations adequate.

As a hotel it's average above average ... but it's in an exceptional location for Manhattan

If you are an average person and want to attend 31st Night celebrations this is the worst place on earth. No food, drink , bagpacks are allowed. Simply, you have to be there for more than 5 hours without any of above. Even without a restroom. Once you are in they don't allow you to go out. But if you can reach the main area this is the best place on earth. However, on other days this is an awesome place.

Comfortable and central hotel ... Kindness and professionalism

This is the first user review I've ever written. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. The worst part was that there was no working A.C. in the entire hotel in mid-April, and no estimate when it might be fixed. Overnight room temps in the 80's. Booked 4 nights but checked out the first morning. Other issues included filthy windows, non-working phone, hair in the shower, leaking faucet, argumentative staff. The only good point is that they gave us 50% off the night we did stay.

Hotel is well located but that is it. Hotel is old and badly maintained. Very disorganized and disrespectful towards guests. Reserved an extra night for a late check-in and upon arrival, I had no room available even though I was fully charged for the night. Staff wanted to send me to another hotel (6 blocks away) to stay for a couple of hours. Finally, I was offered an old room for a couple of hours for a shower and still had to pay over 200 dollars. Hotel is noisy and hallways are always messy. Do not recommend staying here. Horrible experience for a short trip.

Central location, near Time Square. Rooms dated and little cleaning ...

You know when there is 1major thing wrong & then you notice all the little things wrong? We walked in our room & were immediately hit the face with the overpowering smell of weed. We decided its one night we wont be in room long, how bad can it be? We opened window to air out a bit & went out. Upon returning to take a shower there was hair in the tub & sink. At this point we've already commited to this disaster so on to bed we go. When i booked the room ut was for 1 queen bed. We are a couple why the front desk gave us a room with 2 beds i dont understand. Maybe my red hair & the boyfriend being spanish? Unfortunately this was nothing like a 1970's sitcom. When we got into one of the beds we realized it reaked of weed! The sheets, the pillows every sniff WEED! At this point its midnight we have 2 beds lets just go to the other one. I feel so dirty at this pount my eyes are itchy & the curtains dont even close all tje way so theres one bright strip of city light coming through! Also writing this review at 4a.m because i cant sleep. 12 out of 10 would never come back or recommend to anyone. They should pay people to stay here. Parking lot is connected & they dont even discount. Also, what am i paying an additional $32 for?! Clealry not housekeeping

This Hotel was a disgrace. The pictures are not what you get at all. The wall paper was coming off the wall. The furniture was tattered. No A/C at all. When I stepped into the shower I thought I was going to fall through the floor. It was a plastic insert that was not done properly. The sink dripped. Couldn t get it to stop. The smoke detector was hanging off it s fixture. Sorry but not worth anyone s money!

The Receptionist at time was rude when checking in. The Elevator to our room was broken and the receptionist never informed us about it here to take a the elevator to different level and walk the rest. I wouldn't be mad but we were never informed anything. Room are nice then most new York hotels but tiles in room were thilthy. Only the bell hop was super nice. Every staff member was rude especially the men in the parking lot.

The manager will more than likely reply to this comement with a monotone copy and paste message that he gives to all the reviews that tell the truth about the older rooms that are more common.

This place is a pathetic dump in which the owners don t care about the state of the hotel because they know the rooms will be booked no matter what. The rooms that are up to date are on one floor and this the how you know the management of this hotel is pathetic because they only made one floor look good in the entire hotel. My room had a leaking faucet, nasty roof, dirty sheets and towels, and other things that made me super uncomfortable. Me and my husband were so scared to even touch anything. This was my first time in New York and now I will never book anything online that has bad reviews. This hotel is a dump where management doesn t care to be honest. To top it off I arrived in the middle of a cold front and my room didn t have heat.

Can you image spending a lot of money just to stay out all day in hopes of not coming back to your depressing room filled with dangerous and old stuff. The hallways have torn carpet and nasty walls. This place couldn t event paint their walls they don t care about their customers and it shows. I will never understand how you can remodel just one floor of the hotel and leave the rest as a dump. It s 2018 and yet y all still make the rooms look so.

We had to wait for 1 hour at 10 pm to get our room even though we booked it in advance. Even then, we didn't get the room we had booked. We got a room with 1 King bed, even though we had booked room with 2 double beds. They put an extra bedding in the room, which made it cramped. The location is great, being in times square. Overall, not worth the money we paid.

Gorgeous, updated lobby. Friendly staff made things very easy. Room updates did not match those of the lobby but room was still nice. Very spacious and had nice views of NYC. Location could not be beat! Great deal for the money. Would recommend staying here.

The room was old and dingy snd very small. They told us the water was being turned off from 10-3. The heat was set to 80 degrees and we called the front desk for help and no one was sent up. When I said something to the clerk at check out she barely acknowledged me. I wouldn t stay there again.

Check in was easy and smooth. However they gave us the wrong room and we tried walking into an already occupied room.
Then the next room they gave us (and provided us with complimentary breakfast for the first inconvenience) had a broken card reader. We walked up to a maintenance man fixing the door so we had to wait about 15 minutes to get into our room.

The room had hairs on the back of the toilet, little disturbing but I ignored it.
Bed was uncomfortable.

Not the most luxurious spot but you get what you pay for and being two blocks up from Times Square.

The hotel is worn out really. But this is New York. I think the price is fair for the city. However, there is a hidden fee for wifi, long distance call, and water station... charged 40.17 for 3 nights. The front desk clerk had me wait for ten minutes while typing something at midnight. Very rude employees overall from bell boys, FD, restaurant ... all over. I would not stay unless you really have to. They sell rooms cheap at priceline, orbitz....so beware. Lastly this is far from Time square.

I was looking for a central hotel and it really is. The people who work at the front desk are very friendly. But the worst rooms, the room of my children without air and we reported that it was damaged and they were in sending the engineer, we are still waiting for it. We went back to claim and they told me to open the window, we are still trying. Rooms very old and uncomfortable, they are not very clean or everything is so old that it perishes dirty wherever you see and walk.

7 people stood there each time I waited with others to get and pick up my bag. An hour in total while the staff stood and did nothing. Including the useless manager

Hotel with a very affordable price considering its location. The furniture is old and there is no gel, but soap tablets (which is not so hygienic). However, I would recommend it if you plan to tour the city and visit the most important attractions.

Pictures don't compare to reality - the pictures looks like they were taken 15 years ago ... The hotel from inside is old and need a very deep clean along the furniture in the room needs to be repaired or upgraded and so does the toilets

I would never stay at this hotel. I repeat again do not stay at this dump. Mold in the bathroom. It was filthy and discusting. When complain to management we were told take or leave it. I urge everyone the power of social media today to tell everyone avoid this hotel. They don't want to clean up their hotel then they can have empty rooms and no customers.
Everyone avoid and discourage everyone do not go to this hotel.

Simple...if your staying in NY for more than a few nights, Go across the road to the Sheraton Hotel for $100 extra you can have a 1st class experience. Thank me later

They charge for services you don't want and the rooms are nothing like the brocher. Never again beware.

Excellent location of the hotel, has what it takes to spend a good stay and rest ... a few blocks from central park and times square ... all super close, excellent places to eat around and includes free wifi, water and coffee. basic but ideal (not luxurious)

Very aggressive aggression, especially on Thursday March 5 around 9 p.m. 9:30 p.m., a young woman at the reception literally prevented me from speaking. I've never seen this at the front desk of a hotel
The rooms are correct but dilapidated the bathroom is very old

8/17/2019 Although the hotel is well located it is not worth going. The rooms do not correspond to what they teach you on the web. Old dirty and poorly made rooms. The bathroom was dirty and damp and did not replace gel or towels. The hotel staff couldn't be more nasty and efficient peak. A horrible stay

The room was spacious, the bed was comfy. The service was really great too

charged a recreation fee but have no special amenities. It was a cold November but they hadn't turned the heat on. They misplaced my luggage. the room I stayed in was mediocre at best.

The location is 5 stars, but the up keep is 2. The lemons were all clean. However it was very dingy wallpaper is peeling there's a lot of rust cracks and there was hair all over the place. I would not stay again but if I was in a pinch it would be acceptable. Very slow elevators and check in was rather inefficient but very nice people.

The reception is beautiful, the TV is nice in the ooms and the beds are nice. Everything else needs updating and cleaning.... my towels had dust on them.

Nice location but rooms are very dirty. There s dust everywhere and hair all over the shower from the last person who stayed in this room. Staff is nice, but really grossed out to sleep here.

Great hotel well located in the Manhattan area next to Times Square Central Park friendly and dedicated staff (Donald at the front desk speaks French and very professional and friendly) I recommend this property, we stayed for a week with the family top and again thank you to the staff especially to Mr. Donald

Don't be fooled by the lobby! The lobby is the only place that has been renovated in the last 30 years. When I got off the elevator to go to my room the walls looked like they haven't been painted in 10 years, the carpets were disgusting then I walked into the room and it stunk, it almost smelled like moldy walls. The bathrooms had pink 80's tile and and it looked like they haven't cleaned the rooms. Very disappointing, I had to leave that night and find another hotel.

Excellent location. It's within walking distance of times Square and central park. I didn't spend much time in the hotel because I was exploring new York but my time spent there was comfortable. The room was fairly small but that's what you would expect. The bed was extremely comfortable though. The only problem was the extremely poor breakfast.

The rooms are in terrible condition. Water stains, peeling wallpaper, stains all over carpet, stains on furniture, mold in bathrooms. It s a great location and convenient if you are spending a lot of time in time square but there are much better options in the area. Most of the staff was pretty nice. There seemed to be a lack of towels, they ran out of wash clothes for half of our trip and some of the towels had stains and you could tell they were very old towels. The staff members told us it was sad that the owners don t care about the state of the rooms and leave them the way they are because they know they will be booked either way. They show on their website beautiful updated rooms but it s only on one floor. The rest are in awful condition.

Great location and my experience was good. It is very near to Time Square. Location makes this place best place to stay, various food options are also nearby. Rooms were not very clean and basic amenities like microwave were not given and I hate this part in hotels. Few small things can make your trip more memorable but now a days these things are missing in every hotel. I didn t get a chance to check complete hotel as there are so many things around this hotel.

Great location in the middle of Times Square. We were on the "Executive Floor" which has updated rooms it's own elevator. Rooms are on the small side, probably average for NYC. Mohammed at the front desk was a huge help in getting settled in.

It has a great location. However, its breakfast, interior of the room and others are not worth for my daily payments at all.

The hot water failed, the bathroom was continually clogged, the entire hotel was lacking in cleanliness. The first floors are social housing.
