We stayed two beautiful nights at this resort and waterpark it was everything we could ask for & more.
The room was spacious and the staff was friendly . The kids loved the waterpark and are already asking when we can go again.

We spent the day at the waterpark and really had a good day. We splurged and rented a cabana and it was the best money spent that day. My husband and I relaxed in a comfortable area while the kids played in the park. Our hostess was very quick and fun.

It's not bad. The water park is smaller than it looks online. I did not like the change rooms. I also felt the arcade was a huge rip off. They all are but this one more than any I have ever been to before.

Great place to go with young children. The water park is the right size for my children aged 7 and 2. I've stayed here three times and each time the kids have a had a great time.

The hotel does charge for parking which I find unnecessary considering how far the hotel is from the falls.

Check in is at four, they let us check in at three. My assigned room wasn't ready and I decided to upgrade to a bigger room for 10 dollars more (plus tax).

Check out the next day is 11am, which requires some preparation if visiting the waterpark that day.

Breakfast is expensive, book through the Americana website and select the breakfast package. You will get a 30 dollar credit that helps even things out. At the time I booked the price for the breakfast package was 10 dollars more when compared to hotel booking websites. Basically spend 10 to save 30.

The rooms were paper thin and we could hear everything said by adjacent rooms above and beside. The pool seemed to have too much chlorine and kept burning eyes just stepping into the pool area not even in the water. They don t have much to do for small kids 3 to 2 year olds, they don t allow kids to be accompanied by parents on the big slides, also even in the hot tub pools area. The washrooms also needed a major upgrade as they are set in the 1990 s and also they don t provide small bathroom stuff only dispensers on the walls.

It's good place for kids. But the room is outdated and unclean. There are some bugs. The wall is damaged. There are some stains in the bathtub. The wireless internet is too weak and every electronics in the room is cheapest ones. But kids likes the pool and gameroom.

If you like water you'll love this place. Toddler and young children friendly. Life guards on duty. Wave pool! There's lots of water fun. We spent 4 hours there and the kids were pooped.

The hotel overall was a decent experience. The hotel rooms are very basic for what you pay. They have a sort of old fashion feel while still feeling cozy. There are some times when you notice that this isn't an amazing four/five star restaurant like when there are cracks in the walls and such. Overall, I think this hotel is best fit for people who plan to go with kids only because if the amazing water-park.

Great prices for the accommodations and water park passes. All rooms come with a two day Waterpark pass. The staff is extremely helpful. Our favorite place to stay when going to the falls.

I stayed here with my 3yr old son for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The water park was great fun! My son absolutely loved the water park and arcade. The arcade seemed a bit less then what I was expecting but the prices were decent. My biggest harp was our room. I have definetly stayed in much cleaner rooms. There was something spilled on the night stand (not by us!) And left to dry and get sticky.. the bathroom had not been swept judging by the dirt on the floor.
When I booked I informed the clerk I would be coming with a small child. Asking for a room away from the hussle of the doors to the waterpark. I assumed they wouldn't put us right next to the water park door. The noise did not stop well into the late evening, close to 11 or so(Which I kind of expected) my son had issues sleeping with the noise. The thing that set me off was the barade of kids running up and down the hall yelling and continuously pounding the buttons on the vending mechines and ice machine at 1am. This went on for about 15 minuites. Some staff security or something would of been nice? I eventually delt with it myself. I have always noticed some staff walking about at other hotels through the night.
Will definitely go back for the water park but will change location of our room if we aren't placed where I asked the first time.

I have stayed here many times with my family I also had my wedding here beautiful location

The rooms were very clean, and it had a very reasonable price, the watermark was fun, my kids and I enjoyed it a lot. It was totally worth it, at first we stayed in the 'Deluxe Queen Suite' that one wasn't too spacious, then we decided to stay in the 'Junior Kiddie Suite' it had a bunk bed and 2 queen beds, it was very worth it, and it was very spacious. I like how close it is to the falls barely a 10 minute drive, and, it's very close to the outlet mall. Overall, I enjoyed both of my stays there, and I do recommend it to everyone.

We did not stay at the resort. We took our 3 grandchildren to the waterpark for the day during march break. There was no attendant to check us in which caused us to search for someone to pay to enter. Then we were told there was a price increase due to March Break which is beyond ridiculous as you should be making attractions affordable for patrons to attend during holidays etc. Not gouge them because you can. The bathrooms were filthy and yet the check lists were filled out that they were cleaned. Several of your young life guards were more concerned with consorting with each other rather then watching out for public safety. Beyond disturbing! I am there to enjoy my over priced venture with my kids and to not police running, horseplay etc by patrons to ensure safety. For the influx of people, you need to staff accordingly . The wait times at the snack bar with 2 staff was ridiculous. Surely your prices quantify hiring staff to deal with large volumes. The tables in the seated area were filthy, empty food containers, drinks etc and were not cleaned nor wiped down once in the 4 hours we were there. The patrons were doing it. I did not see anywhere on the waiver that I would receive a discount for doing life guard duties, clearing and cleaning tables etc. I understand busy, but I also understand getting a certain amount of service to justify the prices charged. Extremely disappointed all around as we have been there before and been pleased. Will think twice before attending again as it was not an enjoyable experience when you end up with a working vacation.

Our room was invested with fruit flies and the carpet was soaked. I noticed poop floating in the pool so it was closed for cleaning. Make sure to keep your eyes open as the staff won't notice it. As we had already checked out, we couldn't even shower. The breakfast buffet was terrible and overpriced. I would not recommend this place at all!

The hotel is fine, I guess. It's the waterpark. The waterslides are not thrilling whatsoever. Also, there are infrequent warm spots in the wave pool- most likely pee. The photos americana resort advertises look so elegant and pretty. This is not the case. The waterpark is absurdly small compared to the waterpark titans great wolf Lodge and fallsview resort. Honestly you are better off going to one of those

Went for a wedding. Ceremony was in the reception hall and then, the cocktail hour was held in the lobby while they reorganized the chairs. Food was ok. Booze selection was a bit slim. As long as the couple getting married was happy is all that really counts.

I was very disapointed with this hotel. To start they charge you for parking after paying a very hefty resort fee. The staff is not very helpfull we had no internet in our rm all three nights and they did not seem concerned despite our request to have it checked. I am also very surprised that a resort does not offer the basics, such as shampoo and conditioner. They have soap pumps in the shower that give it a public restroom feeling. The public areas are dirty and the hotel has the feeling of a howard johnson with a miniature water park. The water park is very small very crowded and super clorinated. Your skin will feel irritated after using the water park. Not a very good groupon bargain. Hotel public areas are very dirty. Went to the gym one night they have 6 machines that were very old and some broken. Very poor excuse for a ressort

Rooms were clean, staff was professional and waterpark was good as well. Its not a huge waterpark but good for a 1 day experience.

A quick word of warning for people booking online. They only allow 100 people in the waterpark at once (open 9 am to 9 pm). We had to wait for an hour on the weekend as they dont track how long people have been in the waterpark. You could go in at 9 am and chill till 9 pm while others grunt in the queue. I hope the management is able to fix it.

Also, my car broke down in the resort and they didnt have a jumper cable available to boost my battery. May be investing 15$ on a cable might help customers in the future.

Overall an above average experience.

The worst hotel experience we've ever had. Such a shame since we've visited this hotel many times before and had always thoroughly enjoyed it. Long check in wait times, based on other reviews I suspect this happens more than it should. Rooms were filthy and unclean, from dust strings hanging off of the ceilings to dried urine around the toilet seats and floor. Alarms clocks not working, handprints on mirrors and headboards. Long black hair found in towels that were supposed to be clean. Smelled like mold. Manager did end up moving us promptly to another room, and although the effort was appreciated the next room was not much better. When rooms are in such an unclean state people are being put at risk of contracting illnesses or diseases. The hotel should take cleaning (sanitization, disinfection and sterilization) far more seriously. Cleaning staff looked utterly miserable when passed in the hallways. We skipped on the breakfast buffet voucher and left as soon as possible. Complained the next morning but was not taken seriously, the blonde haired elderly woman tried to silence us as fast as she could so other guests couldnt over hear. She was extremely unhelpful and rude. Charged full price even though our bill stated that $20 for parking would be removed for the inconvenience. Will not be returning. Beware!

Not a fan! Water park is small and they use too much chlorine (they actually have signs to say they use high levels) took about 6washes to get smell out of bathing suits. Rooms are old and outdated, the 2 bedroom suite is very up dated and worth staying in if you can book it. We got a free upgrade to the suite after having some issues with the normal room booked.

Boston Pizza attached to hotel is a good place to eat and or have the food delivered to the room (they charge $5 for room delivery).

Life guards don t seem to care about safety at all in water park, staff in general just don t make you feel welcomed. If it wasn t for the manager to upgrade our room we probably would have left and asked for refund.

Thought this was a good alternative to other waterpark resorts at the falls, but does not compare at all. Needs BIG updating for the amount of money charged.

Free wifi sucks!!! Get very little to no bars in rooms, again unless in the 2bedroom suite, you get decent service there for some reason

Our stay here was quite pleasent. 2 adults, 2 kids ages 3 and 5. The room was nice, clean. We mainly went for the water park, which all of us really enjoyed. Bunch of slides, small want pool, hours of fun. The staff were really nice everywhere inside the place. Would totally go again.

Great resort for a quick getaway with little ones.
Check in was quick and extremely courteous.
Family suite had ample room, it was clean, and appeared renovated with fridge and microwave.
Waterpark is excellent for younger kids.
Check out is at 11, and the water park opens at 10. Would be nicer if park opened earlier or allowed for a 12pm checkout

Attended a birthday party for a friend. Given a great rate as we had so many in attendance. Great welcoming staff who had our safety nd enjoyment in mind. Super easy and accommodating with tons to do even with a 2 year old in tow. Enough variety to keep him busy and entertained for hours! Only problem was needing a life jacket in his size. They need more of the extra small of the 30-50lb size.

Clean place. Good for price. Water park slightly small and mid week closed at 9pm. Thought it was early for June. Bar downstairs took longer than usual to get a drink. Other than that pretty good spot with kids.

A pretty good hotel linked with a Boston Pizza. The swimming pool is a joke and is smaller than my garage, although there is a pretty entertaining bar with a arcade to keep the kids busy. It is in Niagara so there is loads of places to visit near by. Overall solid hotel if your there for Niagara not the hotel

Absolute worst front office. Tells me I booked online through expedia, for the 23rd and cancelled on 6th. I did not. I called expedia and they tell me I did not book through them. I call Americana back, different girl tells me I'm wrong - very rude. Tries to brush me off. I ask for manager, she puts me on hold and comes back says she's busy. She then says it's not their problem. I ask for her name again, changes to Susan from Linda. Hmmm...she says she told me her name wrong the first time.

Giving a 1 for a rating is too much. 0 was not an option. Was there two nights Dec 20th and 21/ 17. Out dated place. Terrible resort - cold water. Way too much chlorine in the water I still stink after 2 showers. Kids eyes were burning. The waves in the water were so strong that it would push the kids out. Both my kids hated the pool because of the fake waves. The heater in the room was so loud we had a hard time falling asleep. When we turned it off it was too cold. The douvet kept falling on the floor because it was too slippery with the sheets under it. I Had to wake up multiple times at night to put it back on us and the kids. The gym had only two working machines. Horrible!!!!!! Overall it was terrible. Had the worst two nights of sleep. NOT worth the money at all. When I complained to the lady at the front desk she just brushed it off. NEVER wasting my money on a place like that again.

The staff was very friendly. Room was okay. The kids had an awesome time.....enjoyed the extra activities and meeting the characters. My only complaint was we had to bring 2 cars and was charged $45 for 1-night parking....this should be included in the rate?? How else do they think we are going to get there.....money grabbing to me.....plus the room sleeps 6 but only 5 passes included....had to buy an extra pass.....more money on top of it all. With all that being said....we will more likely return.....for the kids.

Waterpark is fun and the life guards are hard working. the resort charges for parking 5km out of the downtown core which is absurd. the rooms were nothing special and poorly cleaned (check your coffee maker, to start). The value for our discounted price was good but it isn't worth full price. Stay away from the games room. It's got games that don't even work properly and the staff simply do not care to address it. The buffet breakfast was horrible. Do not waste money on it. We had fun but the resort has so much wasted potential.

Don't come in here expecting Great Wolf or Kalahari. It's a older, smaller waterpark. Rooms smell funny, but you get what you pay for. All in all it's ok for a one night stay, but given the choice I would rather stay at the fallsview indoor water park which is in the same price range. They do hit you up with $20 per night of parking and 10% of your entire bill as resort fees. This is not included in the original price, and you are not told about them beforehand either. So it adds up to an extra $40 a night roughly.

Rooms are decent, but a little out dated looking. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The ball rooms where the event I attended were nice. Staff was very pleasant. The water park is geared towards younger kids (def not teens) Overall a nice stay.

We have been coming to the Americana as a Christmas tradition for a few years. Kids are now 7 and 8 and they have a blast! They can go on the slides by themselves or together. Even when they were younger, they could still go on the slides accompanied by an adult. All we had to do this year was keep an eye on them! There are rarely lines for the waterslides, which the kids LOVE. The pools are warm as is the waterpark in general.

There are tons of life jackets and floaties for even wee ones to wear and play with!
The arcade is fun for the kids too! They just love getting tickets and trading them for small toys.

The maintenance at the hotel was terrific, frequent snow shoveling and plowing made it easy for our family of four to get around. Thank you. We noticed the great care that was taken even the exterior with not a single lightbulb out.

Cleaning staff were very understanding when one of our children decided to eat a chocolate chip muffin in bed. The mess was unsightly but the cleaners didn't make us feel like it was anything less than ok. There were absolutely NO bugs in our room - I saw a reviewon Google, so I checked.

We had Boston Pizza both in the restaurant and in room, and it was always hot, delicious and the staff there was friendly as well!

All staff are excellent ambassadors for the hotel and the City of Niagara falls: friendly, knowledgeable and patient.

I went for a dance competition and even though I didn't stay the night it was very organized. Very clean. My friend stayed overnight and I have before just for a weekend and I would recommend it. There is an amazing waterpark that's safe for kids. Lots of space. The rooms are very neat and tidy and would be a great getaway

Lovely resort. They even upgraded our room for free which was really nice. The water park wasn't too busy which made it a lot more fun. The only thing I would have to say though is that l asked if we could pay extra and extend our stay in the roomuntil 3 pm (since I had a one year old and my senior parents with me) but they didn't accept saying that they were fully booked. I asked another agent and he said yes they could offer us a room for the night but when I said I would only need it till 3 he said he couldn't even though I offered to pay extra and check in was not until 4! I didn't really insist because I didn't want to ruin the nice time that we had but kept wondering how could they offer us the room for the night but not till 3 if they were sold out!

The room was decent but could have been more modern. The food at the snack bar was overpriced and we didn't realize that the price of parking at the resort wasn't included in the online price. You are able to park very close to your room which is great. The indoor water park (with partially retractable roof) and arcade are great for kids. The resort is also pretty close to restaurants and attractions in Niagara. I would visit again.

You get what you pay for here. Room was clean but not updated. Bring shampoo and soap as all they have is after shave smelling all in one soap from a dispenser in the shower. Water park was great for smaller children, 3 year old loved it but got cold as air temp was a bit on the cooler side. Restaurant under renovation so stayed away, looked to be serving buffet breakfast in the conference room. Good budget 1 day getaway.
