Don't waste your money! We paid over $500 for just 1 night. Had our car broken into while we were there. Property next door is extremely shady with illegal activity happening as per Management from the resort. No extra cameras to monitor the property to make guests feel safe and secure. Management doesn't care, as long as they have your money, they will just ignore you.

Stayed the night for the water park. Went with family. WiFi did not work for us at all. Called four times to alert front desk. At checkout young man was not aware of my concern and did not see any notes about the wifi issue. Overall the stay went well.
Great way to spend the day with the kids especially for the price we got from Groupon. If you do get Groupon deals read the fine print that the facility fee and taxes are additional and paid upon arrival. While you cannot bring food in the facility, you can go outside to the picnic tables and enjoy your own food.
I enjoyed my stay at the Americana. My biggest issue was with the beds which I found to be quite hard. The coffee in the room is also terrible. Staff are friendly and helpful, the water park is a big hit with the kids. All in all a good time.
I have lodged at American Conference Resort Spa & Waterpark on a number of occassions.
I've found my experience there to be quite good. This is a family oriented resort, I can't imagine it having the same appeal to anyone without children.
So I will recap the basics:
1. Parking is free, they have a large parking lot, there are no fees or hidden fees associated, and in most cases you can find a spot just outside the closest door to your hallway.
2. They do not offer a free breakfast or anything of that type, as there is no resort kitchen, just an attached Boston Pizza.
3. There is a snack bar in the water park, it has pizza, slushies, and the usual snack bar fare.
4. This is not a quiet hotel, it has lots of children in it, running around, playing, enjoying themselves. If you can't handle that, don't go.
5. It's well located on Lundy's Lane, where it is close enough to drive to the Falls in 10 minutes, but far enough away to avoid the heavy tourism area and pricing.
My stay here was with my family, the rooms were very clean, nothing particularly special, akin to your basic Holiday Inn, or chain style hotel. But the staff are friendly and helpful.
What stands out is in addition to the water park, which you could spend all day in, there is also a small arcade, and lots of different events with prizes for children. We participated in crafts, bingo, a magicians show, and a number of other games and shows designed for children.
I would recommend going in the winter as the rates are usually better, and it's not as busy. It's also a nice break from the cold to be in a heated glass water park.
A few years ago, we started a tradition of going to the Sheraton, getting a room high up overlooking the falls to watch fireworks and passes to the Fallsview water park to end our Christmas holidays. We stay for two nights and rent a cabana for our full day. We have 3 kids now, 16, 13 and 7. We look forward to it every year. This year, we decided to switch it up and try your place, as it was recommended by a friend. We already had reservations elsewhere but cancelled them at the last minute and booked with you. We were apprehensive because the prices seemed to good to be true. Nothing to be apprehensive about. Best. Decision.
We had a two bedroom suite and it was roomier and more accommodating for our family - and so well priced!! We loved the layout. Sure, it could use some updating, but it was perfect for a couple of nights!
The cabana at Waves was huge!! The cabana at fallsview doesn t have a mini fridge or tv. No decorations. The Waves cabana felt like vacation! The fallsview water park looks like a neglected step child. It s not maintained. The are signs of wear and tear all over the place. So much that slime is growing and things have been worn to black and look dirty. Waves almost looks new! The water park itself is smaller but because it was better maintained the cabana was so awesome, it outweighed that con. We had so much fun playing ball together in the pool WITH NO PHONES!! Lol
We also loved that we could park outside our room and use the patio entrance. We had to lug our stuff through a hotel lobby, an arcade, the Hard Rock Cafe, another hotel lobby and then wait in a line to get an elevator just to get to our car! Same to get to and from water park. Brutal in retrospect.
We loved the Boston pizza in the hotel - we ordered take out 3 times and my husband and I even snuck down for wings and drink after the kids went to bed!
Last but not least (and I could go on) the staff..!! Not only are the front desk staff friendly but the entire hotel staff - the cleaning ladies in particular - so friendly!! We did not pass an employee without them greeting us and smiling. Everyone was super friendly and happy!!
We all agree it was way more fun and it was way nicer on the wallet. Double win! So keep up the great work! I wish we could visit more often but you ll see us again next Christmas for sure!!
We booked through booking.com and when we got to the registering desk, they flat out tried to recharge us. We just noticed accidentally. Otherwise we would have lost that money.
As far as the pictures go... the water park looks great. When you actually set foot inside, well... that's a completely different story. I do wish my wife didn't drop $100 bucks a night on this place. The place across the street was the same thing for 39$ minus the water park.
I stayed here Thursday into Friday with friends and had 2 rooms reserved. The rooms were adequate and relatively clean. The rooms could definitely use a deep cleaning. The dust is pretty thick in 185 and 186! Also we found a pair of socks under the bed and a very old bag of popcorn behind the dresser. The check in was smooth and guest services was helpful with my many questions. The water park was better/cleaner than I expected. The park is definitely geared towards younger guests. Although the 2 large slides were pretty awesome for adults. The buffet was pretty good for our breakfast. We ventured out for dinner and there are some decent restaurants since the resort is conveniently located. I was frustrated at the amount of machines that didnt work in the arcade and also many of the vending machines were out of order. I had to go to the 2nd floor for a pop! We lost money in the arcade and a locker for the water park malfunctioned. So we lost money there also. We went to report it to the arcade staff and was told there was nothing they could do about it. So we asked to speak to a manager and were told that "the manager was in a bad mood and she wasn't dealing with issues today, so there was nothing else that could be done". Not wanting to cause a scene we just agreed to let it go. It was only $6.00. Other than this issue the mini vacation was worth the money and was all in all a good time.
Excellent place when comes to value proposition. Enough activities to keep the kids happy and entertained. In terms of room, Pros: spacious double queen beds and sofa bed, clean. Cons: noisy heating/cooling system, thin walls make you hear next door people coughing, loud water running through pipes from the walls, beds bouncy and too firm, pillows need to be refreshed. Food at Boston Pizza was mediocre at best and service was rushed. Breakfast not included and quality was also average to good, service again felt in need of some training and improvement, food was ok.
Over all the water park was the main reason we chosen this hotel and my son enjoyed it.
Comfortable and economical. Beds are old and very soft, you can feel springs pop. Bathroom is very old and has huge black chips in the tub. Waterpark is nice, but a little cold. Everything is over priced. Staff is very friendly in all parts of the hotel. Wifi is incedibly slow and only get 1 bar in room
Great place for kids. Enclosed water park. Plenty of life guards. It right beside bus route taking you straight to the falls. Time are displayed clearly on lobby signage. Great service at low cost.
We stayed there for two days. The room was fine and well maintained. We enjoyed our first day there. However, the temperature in water park was not controlled and there was so much chlorine in water that my eyes were all red and there was a terrible itching and burning sensation which lasted for the other two days.
Was our first time there and we had amazing time. Everyone was super friendly. The house keeping lady was amazing! And Boston pizza Tuesday pasta was very yummy will be back again
Great place for kids.Hear others in rooms next to you.But watch out for all the hidden fees on top of price.Resort tax?,Parking?and don't forget your HST here and there.Expensive. Also should have something special for repeated customers.
Waterpark was good kids loved room was good liked the fact that there was a fridge and microwave. The only downfall was my check in the manager at the time made me feel like I had no right being there as we had booked through hotwire. He stated that is why we dont like hotwire.
The rooms are clean, staff friendly. The hotel itself is freezing though, as is the water park area, especially at night. I wish the water park opened earlier for hotel guests as well. Having to wait until 10, when checkout is at 11, is frustrating, especially when you have young kids who are up early. We ve stayed 3 times and I think we are tapped out. The chlorine levels are so high, even after showering you ll be smelling chlorine for days.
It is a amazing place for parents and kids to spend holidays. The haunting Wifi will give you more time to share happiness with your families. Good place for parent-child activities. The Wifi signal is unstable and you can spend more time with your loved ones.
Overall this day was pretty good. The room was clean and Waterpark was nice. I got a mani pedi at the spa and was very happy with it prices are in line with spas in the area. There for a lot of people in the water park and hence a lot of chlorine in the water. The only really bad thing I can say is that our room was not ready at check-in and we had to wait about four hours before it was. If you like Boston Pizza there is one on site if not there are many other restaurants nearby.
I booked this place for my Brother and it accidentally booked under my credit card. I went ahead and changed it to his card and called to cancel mine. They didn't cancel it and charged me for the stay even though I didn t visit. Such a tieves you are better off booking somewhere else
The hotel itself is great. Staff was nice. Food was good. The waterpark is small, the pool was dirty. And 3 out of 4 of us got pretty severe acid burn on our bodies from there being so much chlorine in the pool. No way we will ever be returning
Terrible Hotel starting with the pool there is no outside pool and the pool they have has no lounge chairs to sit in, to have to pay $20.00 a day for parking in the parking lot which is right next to hotel is crazy it should be free parking, the floors inside our room was so dirty your feet stuck to the floor and if that was not bad enough we had ants, the sheets did not fit the bed so, every morning you woke up with the sheets wrapped around you, the draw string on the curtains did not work every morning we woke up early due to the sun light and our bathroom sink had no stopper to stop things from falling down the drain. We will not be coming back.
Great place for a family getaway. They have a Boston pizza, a water park and beds. Food, play and sleep, what else do kids want?
They do a good job of keeping the hotel and swimming area clean. It is definitely overrun with kids so if you are looking for a quiet getaway this probably is not the spot you're looking for.
Great spot for families while still being close to the falls and not breaking the bank. I would recommend it.
Very poor management and customer service. Waited to check in for over an hour and then told our room "type" was unavailable due to "mechanical issues". They had no solution except to use their "sister" motel (same owners) miles away. Management repeated the same lines over and over like they are apparently programmed to. They tried to still charge me the 180 dollars I had paid. Motel is 99/night. Had we received a phone call about the no availability we would have stayed home. I think they(the Americana) are purposely overbooking people and then using their sister motel for overflow. My thoughts were confirmed today when I found out the Cadillac Motel is closed until the spring. We were literally just there a day ago. They opened it for several days to catch the overbooking from the Americana. This type of business practice should be illegal. Needles to say my daughters third birthday was a disaster. Ended up needing to stay at The Cadillac Motel as we were left with no other choice(it was late and we have two young children). Room was cold and poorly insulated. Sickened they got my 99+ dollars after being treated so poorly. Would never return to either establishment and will encourage anyone to visit another waterpark as this one is clearly sub-par. (We did use/see the waterpark for 2 hours and it was not worth it)
Run down water park that smells a bit of mold and rust is visible in the structure. The payment and locker system is a pain in the neck. I would not go back.
Decent waterpark, not the largest but well staffed and fun. Extremely chlorinated water my skin still itches. The staff for some reason wait until after 9pm to start vacuuming etc and keeping everyone's children awake.
This was the worst place I have ever been! I never even stayed in the room. I left and took my children and booked into another hotel for the night and the Americana refused to give a refund. The pool could be beautiful but it is that chlorinated u need a gas mask to walk into it, the fumes burned my eyes, the water itself stung and burnt the children's skin. The room we was given stunk like smoke as soon as we walked in and they changed the room for us but the new room was desgusting. Cockroaches on the floor, stains in and on the bed, hair in the bathroom, food splattered all through the micro wave and lint in the coffe pot. Not just one issue here, the whole place was filthy dirty and stunk. I had the manager up in my room and showed them everything and they agreed and offered us another room for the third time and I said no I'm done I'm leaving and they refused a refund. This whole place and there management are shameful, I have never wrote a bad review in my life but I reali feel people need to stay away from this place. I have never been in a dirtier room anywhere. I am shocked that this place can still be in business!
Took them 3 hours to give us an extra blanket and pillows. Small waterpark, better for little kids than teens and young adults. Limited parking and parking is an extra $20 on top of room fees. Also far from downtown Niagara, takes 15 mins drive to even get to the casino. Besides that they have spacious rooms. They also don't provide toothpaste/toothbrushes like some hotels do, nor do they provide small shampoo and conditioner bottles. So if you forget anything, you're out of luck.
We came here after cutting short a not-so-great 2night stay at another nearby resort. This was our first time visiting the Falls and everything from beginning to end with Americana was AMAZING! The location, affordable price, the water park, their 'Fields' restaurant, the arcade and the STAFF! The staff, above all was REMARKABLE :) My family will now consider this resort as our 'go-to' spot whenever we travel from the States back here to Niagara Falls!
Good place for a weekend. The waterproof was smaller than I expected. It's good for smaller children. The "adult" slides were fun, but can really only go down them a few times before it becomes tiresome. I probably wouldn't go back anytime soon.
The food place at the water park is ridiculously overpriced, and you are not allowed outside food or drinks. Better off going back to your room for lunch and going back.
Waterpark was excellent. recommend for younger kids. Cost of Waterpark passes seemed high. Would recommend checking to see if they have stay and waterpark deals.
Great for kids 10 and under...I recommend renting a cabana...fantastic private spot for the whole day where you can keep an eye on the kids...good clean fun...only 4 stars because a little pricey
If you're looking for a resort with HORRIBLE customer service especially towards PEOPLE OF COLOUR then this place is exactly what you're looking for. From the 3 ladies at checkin/check out (one being a supervisor), to Rachel selling the snacks in the arcade/water park, even to the damn maintenance man! I have never in my life encountered such belittling and disrespect from an organization! The one star is for the 3 employees who clearly valued customer service (I wish so badly I got their names bc its evident that their level of service is rare at Americana) and the other star is bc they really do have a really nice waterpark which my 3 year old was at least able to enjoy for a short period for his birthday. It's so unfortunate though, bc due to the horrible service we had received, we decided to end our stay early due to our significant level of discomfort. I finally had enough when I had to ask Rachel why most of their employees had such an attitude and let her know just how unfortunate that was bc the facility itself was really nice but all that gets easily overlooked simply bc of the negative experiences. Train your staff in diversity and better customer service Americana and maybe then will I reconsider giving you my hard earned money again!
Room wasn't ready until 5. Staffs rude. Lock on our door was broken. Charged us 15 dollars for a cot. Water park was underwelming and the light in the room kept flickering like a 60s detective show.
My family and I stayed here in August of 2019. The resort was clean and well maintained. The changing rooms and washrooms are conveniently located nearby to the waterpark. There are locker rentals for $1 for one time use that we found convenient and reasonable compared to other water park locker rentals in Niagara. Of course towels are provided for the room but also for the waterpark so no need to use up the extra space when packing! There is a small arcade that the kids enjoyed. The waterpark itself is smaller than others we have visited in Niagara but we liked this because it was easier for my husband and I to find each other when we split up to accommodate the kids (6 and 2). The rooms and bathrooms were clean and good size (we had a room with 2 queen beds). One thing that would be helpful is if they had a retractable drying line or something of the sort in the washrooms for bathing suits...we had to get creative. This resort is in a great location and very close to the shopping area on Lundy's Lane and there were other discounted stores we found along the drive too which was great for back to school shopping. There are also choices for fast food within walking distance. And it must be noted there's a grocery store right next door. One last thing that I must comment on is the convenience of the parking...the way the resort is situated, it is very easy to park right next to, if not very close to your room. We were fortunate to get a parking just outside our sliding doors (we were on the 1st floor which we appreciated with 2 children...made running back to the room for forgotten things so much easier). Access through the sliding door one we entered the room made unloading then reloading the car when we left a breeze! I would definitely recommend this resort and we will surely be staying here again!
Water park is OK but by all means avoid Boston pizza which is located inside the hotel. I had the worst frozen $32 dollar pizza ever. It was disgusting!!!
