I ve been renting with Texas renters for about a month now, and am thoroughly satisfied with their customer service. I ve had a couple of issue with the house I m renting, and they were super quick to respond, and did a thorough job. They are also super friendly and helpful.

I personally recently had a great experience with Texas Renters. They have been very cooperative with me, understanding, and extremely responsive. My garbage disposal in my kitchen sink went out the other day. I put in a maintenance request that same night and had a scheduled appointment by the next morning. I was helped out by Charm and she was very helpful with any questions and concerns of mine. It was great! It s an a great feeling to know I can count on my property managers for anything.

Texas Renters does not respond in a timely fashion...

Texas Renters does not respond in a timely fashion, however, they are quick to charge a fee with no explanation. I have excellent rental history and I take pride in that but Texas Renters made me so angry that I was willing to risk that. Just FYI, they showed our house at the beginning of the pandemic although we informed them that my wife was a COVID ICU nurse. I understand needing to get the house rented, but I feel like they should ve waited until we were out and the house was thoroughly cleaned first. But nope! Texas Renters said we don t care! Even told us not to tell the prospective renters which is immoral. Hopefully, someone will see this and FINALLY call or email me back. I ve been emailing and calling since July 9th.

I am torn to leave a positive or negative review. Remy has been great. I have nothing but good things to say about her. And would give her a solid 5 stars. But honestly there has been some things that I shake my head at. For example, we were scheduled for a lease renewal inspection. Part of the inspection was a potential fee if we had to cancel the inspection with little notice or if the inspector was limited in the access in any way. Fair enough. We changed schedules and made sure they would have a good look at the house. The morning of the inspection, they called & said "something came up" and they had to cancel. Seems like if the roles were reversed, we would have had to pay a fee. Hardly fair. I also think that the distance from our house makes them seem distant. However, we pay our rent on time and whenever there is a problem, they get a contractor out there to fix it. Could not ask for more

Texas Renters is the absolute worst leasing place there is. To start everything in their lease is very fine print. First there is a 10$ charge every month for an air filter..they replace it every 3 months. I tried to get out of this in the lease but they say we do this in every lease and we can t get rid of it. That s $120 a year that they just take from you when you can get a 4 pack easily under $50. Second Is their maintenance fees. Tenants are required to pay the first $75 of all maintenance. Even if it is to fix something very minor because I am 8 months pregnant single mom and unable to do the simplest tasks. they will still bill you the $75. Their staff is very rude, they know your number and will not answer your calls. They will try and juice every last penny out of your deposit. In fact I have hired a lawyer to get my deposit back and at this point I don t even care about the money..it is going straight to the lawyer fees... Texas renters does not deserve it...Texas Renters should be known as the worst renters agency in the greater Houston area.

I do not have to worry that a repair to my property will not be completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Their customer service team has always been responsive and friendly. Natalie is the best CSR that I have worked with at Texas Renters. She always keeps me informed and has suggestions regarding how to solve issues that come up with the property, or the tenant.

My family and I moved into our new rental about a week ago and when we moved in our water heater wasn t working and our A/C wasn t cooling. We called and spoke to Kim first and she had someone come and look at our water heater late one night and he restarted it but it kept going out. I needed something to be done real soon because I have three children. So Natalie had a plumber come out and we found out we needed a whole new water heater. The next day after we realized our water heater wasn t working we notice the house was not cooling at all. I put the temperature on 60 and it was about 76 in the house again I needed this fixed as soon as possible because I have children. We called and spoke with Natalie again and she did what she had to do to get someone out to look at our A/C. By Thursday everything was working and my husband and I were so much happier about our new home. Natalie and Kim helped us out very much. They called to make sure someone came out and did the job and completed the job correctly also. I m very thankful for these ladies help.

The Agent (Ms. Zhara) handled the service request promptly and kept me informed of the progress of the request and followed up to make sure it was completed.
The service provider showed 3 days after the ticket was initiated. He provided the solution to the problem as directed by the landlord.

I have no complaints but, I do suggest before moving into the property make sure you fill out the checklist and do your negotiations before moving in because there is a $75 maintenance fee. Whenever I need anything (which is not often) they fix the problem right away. Zhara is the best she always follows up to make sure everything was done right !

All because we gave a two star review (no offensive information shated, just a two star review) Texas Renters is sharing our private information on Google Reviews which is VERY unprofessional and, not to mention, illegal. We are allowed to give a bad review without being shamed. When you shame the reviewer, it actually makes you wonder if all of the other "good" reviews are actually honest and/or real.

We were promised that all of the carpet would be cleaned before move into our home. The day we moved in, the stains were still everywhere. When we asked about this, we were never given an answer. Our carpet was never cleaned.

Before move in, we came by the home to meet the realtor for additional paperwork. The inspector was in the home, and had blue taped every crack, mark and issue with the home. TWO WEEKS LATER, after our move in, the blue tape was still on the walls and NOTHING had been done. Why have an inspector come in and let your company know the issues with the home, but then never fix them before the new renters move in? We took pictures of everything and submitted it along with our move in check sheet. No response, nothing.

The ladies in the office have been very kind. But the company itself has dropped the ball on so many issues, and now wants to put our personal financial information out there, a defamation/slander of character, which is a sueable offense. You should know this, Texas Renters.

This serves as a warning to all potential renters.

We have been working with Texas Renters for 3 years with several Houses. The team is great and they are always available when needed. Communication is very clear and we know what is coming ahead of time. I did recommend them for several friends and I do recommend them now. I saw some of the negatives review and I think it s unfortunate because that s not what I experienced at all for the last 3 years. I also got feedback from the tenants and they understand the rules and appreciate TR, the only complain that I had was from one tenant that had to pay for late fee when they paid their rent late. I plan to stay with TR for many years to come.

I have never been more unhappy with an owner of a ...

I have never been more unhappy with an owner of a property in my life. Granted they are in Houston trying to management from three hours away. I have gone through hell with the owner. I have lived here for three years only because of the back yard which is hard to find in Nacogdoches. The first house I moved into had a miss matched painted cement floor and was filthy. After a month the ceiling fell through because of an AC leak and it took two months to fix it. I then had roommate problems and moved into a different house that was nice (the only nice one in the complex). I am now living in my third house. When I moved in the house was dirty and my room smelled like pet urine. After shampooing the carpet three different times the apartment finally replaced my carpet after about a month of living in a urine room. I am allergic to cats and on my leash made sure that cats couldn't be in the apartment but my roommate got a cat and it's making me sick. Is has been two and half months since the Texas Renters has been informed about the cat and they have yet to send anyone out. I was told Sunday someone will be here. I hope it gets resolved. I personal wouldn't recommend the woods of SFA to anyone who doesn't want to fight with their landlord over silly things. I also been yelled and cussed out my the owner because I wouldn't give my roommate the wireless password on my wireless router that I paid for. The Internet modem which was provider by the apartment could only be use with an Ethernet cord and/or wireless router. All the girl had to do was go just an Ethernet cord but I was told some very mean things because I was "taking away" her Internet.

We were charged 10 monthly for a filter that we only got quarterly, why?
We had a leak in the kitchen ceiling which came after the inspector came in July. Water bill went up to $350 dollars and Texas Renters did not want to take any responsibility. It has been difficult to get anyone on the phone when there is a repair issue but when we decided not to renew lease someone came the next day putting sign up and lock on door.
Now with Covid 19 being a great concern, they want to parade people through the house while we are still in here. And due to the seriousness of Covid 19, they have no regards for our health or safety. Worse experience as a renter that I have ever had.

We have been using TexasRenters for many years, close to ten years, facts! We sent TexasRenters a notice on April 30, 2020 that we are cancelling our agreement, even though the current tenant s current contract end July 2020, a few days after we sent them our cancellation notice, they made our current tenant renew her contract (July 2020 to July 2021) on May 4th 2020. Again, I restate the facts, on April 30, 2020 we cancelled with TexasRenters, and on May 4, 2020 they renewed a lease with the tenant. Why would they go ahead and proceed with the lease renewal if we sent them a cancellation? Any reasonable person would agree that this was done to keep my property with them. There was no need for them to continue with the lease renewal when they knew that we did not want to continue to do business with them. I ask myself why do they have to rely on tricks to keep customers? Why not just focus on good customer service to keep homeowners and tenants? Sam Upchurch says that what he did is legal, but I find it to be in bad faith, underhanded, unethical, and not reflective of best practices in real estate. I am being charged over a $1000 for the upcoming contract monthly fees from June 2020 through July 2021. I am being charged twice for June 2020, this goes to show the unethical stance from this company, and their poor record keeping. If your company has good record keeping, then are you saying that this was not an over site or a mistake, but you intentionally meant to charge me twice for June 2020 management fees? Or are you going to go around in circles trying to justify the duplicate fees? Have I said anything that is not true? I have attached the proof of the duplicate charge for June 2020 management fee as proof that I am being overcharged or charged in duplicity.

Literally the most dishonest people I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. If you're a renter, and you have to deal with these people, pass that rental up!!

I contacted the company for a repair they charged $75 for in August. Less than 4 months later, the repair broke again because they decided to use some guy working out of his minivan. Now they want to make me pay an additional $75 dollar fee to make another repair. I've emailed Sam (the companies owner), hopefully he does the right thing, but from my past experience of him, and noticing how many other people have seen how dishonest these people are, I highly doubt it.

I spoke with KIM this morning about a $10 convience fee balance on the portal and she said it's a extra $10 since they have to go cash the money orders and it states it in the lease. LIES that is NOT in my lease. I bring money orders most of the time and NOONE ever told me about a EXTRA $10!! I've always paid the amount on the portal since they took over the property 2yrs ago now today it's a convience fee after they've already cashed the money orders. I stated it's always something new every month and im sick of it SHE LAUGHED LIKE IT WAS FUNNY!! I didn't see the joke nor do I think it was professional for her to do that. I would recommend jumping into traffic before dealing with this joke of a company!

My husband and I just moved in earlier this month ...

My husband and I just moved in earlier this month and there was an issue with a leaking air conditioner that was leaving standing water in our entryway and a valve issue that failed to give our bathtub hot water. Once connected through the rental company's portal, Ana connected us with fantastic support from BiPolar A/C and Alex from AP ProHome Services. Alex and the gentlemen from BiPolar both diagnosed the issue, left to get parts, and returned that same day and fixed their respective issues. Ana was kind enough to follow-up with us to ensure we were satisfied--and we were. For us, it was a simple process. While we have only been here for two weeks, we are grateful for the support from our rental company and from the individuals they contacted.

I have signed a lease for 3 years and have only been living in my house for 6months. When I spoke to the realtor he told me the house would be off the market. Now my house is back on the market and they've called me to let them do a viewing of the house between a certain time frame and never showed. They didn't even give me a call to cancel. I have not yet been able to enjoy the residence. What a slap in the face overall I pay my rent on time and keep up with the place and this is what I get. No respect.

Well, I am getting ready to move out of my rental with Texas Renters LLC. I have heard so many bad things bout them and have had bad service from them for the past 2 years. When we moved in, my realtor told me to take as many photos as I can to protect us. Now I really want to see how the support me as a renter when we move out. Several people have told me they would take as must as they can from out deposit. I don't want to believe that but when you hear if a door stopper is missing they will charge you for that. Even if it was missing before. I also heard that it is a law in Texas for renters to have a chain lock on the front door. We never had one so I am thinking I might get charged for this too. My husband and I have lived in our rental for almost a year now and we have no complaints. We were easily approved for the house 2 months before our requested move-in date and the process was extremely quick and convenient. Every time we put in a service request, it is usually handled in an adequate amount of time.

There was a time where our AC went out and I got extremely frustrated with them because I need the house cold at all times, but we were followed up with legitimate reasons as to why it was taking them a couple weeks to resolve the issue. Good thing we were out of the country at the time so I didn't have to deal with the heat for too long.

This company has good communication and emails/calls us regularly to notify us of inspections, repairs, & other requests. We have another year on the lease remaining and will probably renew if the customer service they've been providing us with is as accommodating as it is currently.

This is a very unprofessional company. I would never rent a property from this company. I would not hire them as well if I need help as a landlord.

I moved out recently. They mark one or two spots for touch up on every wall and charge $75 per wall to do touch up. They charged me around $1200 for touch up. I know how much clean I kept the house . No damage to walls. I didn t even see many paint touch up sports inspected. I am sure there are Few very normal wear and tear marks from hand touch. You know every house will have enough walls for you to lose your deposit if you rent from this company.

I clearly marked in move in sheet that the trim/base boards were dirty. these cheap constructions use water based paints now. They get dirty even before you move in from dust in construction areas. They charge me now $250 to clean the base boards.

They took total $1650 from $2250 deposit for no real issues.

It appears that they make more money this way than what they get from landlord as fee.

My deposit balance should be received by 3/1/2020. Not received yet. I got a unprofessional answer again and not expected any better from them. They say We have to return in 30 days and we sent check . So it doesn t matter if we don t receive it. Can we say we sent a check for rent before 1st and not our problem anymore if you receive 10 days later?

I lived in the house for 1.5 year with sewer gas escaping from drain sinks most of time. This company didn t take any responsibility to address the issue with builder and mud. Builder was blaming mud and mud was blaming builder. Texas renters said they can t do anything. They call themselves property management company.

I thought I see this kind of stuff only in countries where muscle power and corruption rules. Didn t expect this in USA but not surprised anymore.

I am also wondering how many reviewers here got $25 for writing fake reviews. If you are one of them, you will know when you move out. Most of your deposit is already not yours.

I am looking at legal options to make this company accountable.

I am leasing a house from Texas Renters. I moved in last April. The experience has been wonderful. I worked with Zhara and she has been very responsive and has done an amazing job following up with me on tickets that I have submitted. Thank you Texas Renters for providing top quality service.

I'm renting an older model home from Texas Renters so of course the house is going to need maintenance, I have to admit that I am very pleased on the fast response and completion of their work. With in hours I had a next day appointment and once finished the office verified to see if I was pleased with the work. Thank you guys.

TexasRenters, great job with the eviction of this once in 15 yr tenant experience that nobody wants to go through. Way to go in working through the Covid19 times to follow through with the eviction and to keep me posted throughout the process. I appreciate the fact that you basically handled the task without me having to be involved in the process. With my busy meeting schedule that is greatly appreciated. All in all I was not impressed with Texas Renters....

All in all I was not impressed with Texas Renters. On multiple occasions they sent someone to my house without sufficient notice. When I was moving out they would give you the option of accepting or denying showings. They would schedule times even though I denied the showing time and people would show up. Once time they literally called me at 3:55 pm and asked if they could show the house at 4:15-4:30 on the same day. I was at work so I told them that I would not be there to put my dogs up so I denied the showing. They charged me a $100 no show fee. I would avoid Texas Renters if possible.
