During the wind storm our gate got knocked down, as soon as I reported it they had someone out the very next business day. Once he started working on the gate, it took literally one full day before he was finished. They worked with me during the initial sign up process. This was my first house going through a real estate company and I was afraid I would not get approved but I was and they stayed connected with me the whole way.

I was especially impressed with the electronic signature process they have in place. I am a licensed realtor and would recommend their service to anyone looking for leasing services.

Something wrong with prior review. I am now including the complaint I sent to the Texas Attorney General's office.

I have been at my current (no longer current, moved 6/23) residence since August 2017, never late with a payment. When it was time for me to renew my lease, I did not initially renew it...TR placed a lock box on the front door. When I started to receive calls for showing the property, I would request alternate times. I figured I could do this, no problem. When TR called to ask the reasons why I requested alternate times, I advised them that I am a teacher working from home as well as a mother of 3, homeschooling my children. I advised that I could do the showings after 5pm on weekdays and after 12pm on weekends. I advised of this time request on 5/20/2020.. TR proceeded to place a $300 trip charge on my account on said date. I sent numerous emails advising that I did not deny anyone entry. Advising that a trip charge implies that we had an appointment and I refused to allow someone to enter the property. I stated numerous times that this never occurred. I further advised that I just needed the showing at particular times in the day. It was within this email that I advised that my second child had suffered a TBI during a bone marrow transplant (immunocompromised) and subsequently she is disabled. I did not lead with this because I never lead with this and just assumed that they would understand my situation as a working mother of 3 children who also had to be homeschooled considering we are all working from home during this pandemic. I only advised of this when their representative stated that I could stay in the house while strangers come into my space during a global pandemic. That is when I wanted to make it clear to them how implausible that was for my particular situation. I pleaded with them to remove the unfounded trip charge...they repeatedly ignored me...repeatedly mentioned $1200 trip charge and $3000 if I made disparaging remarks against them. I then advised that I would allow no more showings if they do not remove the fees. Although I stated this, I still allowed showings within my aforementioned time frame. I allowed showings up until 5/23, when I woke up to a $75 late fee being applied to my account. How does one
apply a late fee to a charge that they just placed on my account three days prior? A late fee at the end of the month...is rent not due on the first, late by the third? I was confused, incredibly hurt and felt downright harassed. I sent them an email advising that I would no longer allow showings until they removed all fees from my account. From 5/23-6/3 they added $10 a day onto that late fee. I decided that they were giving me so much trouble, I might as well renew the lease and maybe they would stop...the entire thing just felt retaliatory to me and I am already stressed with everything that is going on in life. I signed the rental agreement on 5/24...it was a holiday weekend. When the returned to the office on 5/26, they voided the new lease agreement. I advised that I would need some time to secure housing as I had already cancelled my other option. I requested 3-4 months. When I went to pay the rent at the first of the month I realized that I could not pay the rent without paying the additional fees. I refused. I went to my bank and purchased a cashier's check in the amount of my prorated rent from 6/1-6/23 ($1334). I paid them. Then on 6/5/2020 I received a pay rent or quit notice...the "rent" owed was the $300 trip charge plus the $75 late fee ( they had since dropped the $10/day charge they added to that). I wrote a letter to them advising of my situation with my special needs child. Advising that they remove the $300 trip charge and subsequent late fee. I attached evidence to show that I never denied entry, prior to 5/23. I advised that I made a reasonable requests for them to allow me to state which times I was available for the showing considering I have a disabled child...even without a special needs child, my requests were reasonable. Horrible company DO NOT rent from them they don't respond to you in a timely manner and turn around and charge you for not "reporting". Horrible horrible staff that do not explain or really understand and will tell you one thing and then change it when it comes to charging you

We rented a home that was property managed by Texas Renters. My husband was relocated for his job and we had to break out lease in March of 2017 and our lease didn't end until August of 2017. Texas renters helped and we were able to find somone to take over our lease which was extremely nice and helpful. When it came time for our deposit I felt that they were extremely fair. We have rented 4 different places over the last 4 years and we have never gotten any of our deposit back, ever. We always owe an huge amount even though we always leave is clean and nice. Texas renters was different and we got back more than half of our deposit. The only hard thing was sometimes getting ahold of certain people but everyone was very nice even when I was probably annoying.

I have been very satisfied with this rental company. At first I was overwhelmed by the amount of information that they were requiring in order to process the lease, but I guess they are looking for responsible tenants and have a set process. The house was super clean when we moved it and has been well taken care of. The company was very responsive to any repairs that needed done.

In the two and a half years I've lived in a home from this company I've had minimal issues. My main problem was during the time of moving out. In 60 days of you moving they turn the property over to texas realty associates. Keys will be placed around your house so realtors can show your home. Be prepared to have people walking in and at random times during the day.

I ve rented a lot of houses and I prefer renting from Texas Renters. Quick to respond to issues but also give more space (better than a private landlord!)

My family has had nothing but great service with TR! I am extremely grateful for their responsiveness. I went in to prepare breakfast 2 days ago and turned on the stove and it turned completely off. I tried everything to get it to come back on. I logged on to the resident portal to put in a work order. I heard from them within 2 hours! They had assigned me with a technician already and by lunch time I had a scheduled time to meet him. The tech met me at my home and I had dinner for my family by 7pm!

I have been a tenant with Texas Renters for over 3 years. Very professional and timely with repairs! Love the easy tenant portal where I can access information quickly and put in repairs requests fast! Recently, the oven went out in my house and there were issues with the delivery date being rescheduled several times for a new oven. Well, Lorraine- awesome property manager- kept me up to date of any changes and even complained on our behalf and we literally got a new oven a few days later! They are definitely tenant oriented! Highly recommend!!!

The application process went by very quickly! My boyfriend and I were looking at renting a place together and found this great house for a great value. We made sure to diligently finish the paperwork the day after we saw the house (Friday) and 4 days later (Tuesday) we got approved to move into the house in one week! Very pleased with the quick processing.

My stove caught on fire multiple times and they sent a plumber out to fix my stove and charged me $75 anyway.

They are withholding our deposit, for what? Damage to the house before we moved in.

During Covid they come to your house to inspect it... for god knows what and even with an immunocompromised child they don t care if you deny entry it s $100 trip charge.

They screen calls

They do not care about you, or your family

They are scum

I recently made the switch over from and apartment to a home, and Texas renters was nothing but helpful thought the entire process. Upon moving in I had a few things I wanted them to check over and clean up before really getting settled and within a matter of a day or 2 they were resolved. All in all, I would recommend Texas renters to anyone who is looking for serious, professional help with a new residence.

I recently needed to use the Maintenance service of Texas Renters LLC for a garage repair. I put the request in around 5:30pm on a Friday with the expectation that it probably wouldn't get recognized until Monday morning. But to my surprise they exceeded my expectations. I received a call from Aira minutes after the request was entered to confirm my request. The next morning around 8am I receive a call from the service repair man letting me know he would be there same day by 11am. He arrived and was very professional and knowledgeable. I thank both Aira and repair man for handling this matter in a very timely manner.

The vendors they use are great. I spoke with Zhara who was able to get some one out to my place earlier than expected. They came in and fixed the situation. Their electrician was very informative through out the process. They abided by CDC guidelines in wearing a mask while working in my home. Not too thrilled about the 75 dollar maintenance fee on ALL calls for normal maintenance issues. Other than that they have a rapid response.

Our move-in experience was not great. The house wasn't ready for us during time of our move. The front yard wasn't taken care of and the management never took care of despite several calls and emails. However the work orders have been taken care of immediately (of course they charge!). Aira did a great job with the work orders. Overall our experience was not as great as we expected.

I have been calling for 3 days trying to get an "agent" to call me back. Every time I call, they are unavailable. I have emailed at least 3 times. I am ready to move and I can't even get someone to call me regarding a showing. Unbelievable. No wonder this house has been on the market for 78 days.

Below they said my review was false. They are lying. I called you for DAYS! My realtor called you for days as well! Why would we make this up? I spoke to someone on the phone who was outsourced and they couldn't give me anyone's exact phone number or extension. She couldn't tell me who I could call, she would deliver the message. Anyone can call the same phone number and experience this themselves. Please do not try to tell viewers of this review that I am lying. I know exactly what I did and when I called. This makes your company look even worse.

We have been tenants with Tx Renters for about one year now. Overall, we have been pleased with their efforts to fulfill our requests and communicate any residential issues to the owner for quick repair and fast turnaround. They even succesfully helped us negotiate our rent for the extended renewal! My only issue (hence 4 out of 5 stars) has been when urgent matters occur during the weekend that are serious, however not life threatening, there isnt an after hours number to contact for immediate assistance and someone to discuss directly.

They answered all of the questions that we had and if they did not know the answer they would try to find it for us in a hurry. They were very diligent with making sure that we got approved for the house that we wanted to rent. There was also constant communication between us and the realtor.

We put in our request & within the day they re at our house doing the repairs. The people they have used to service our house are efficient, helpful & very respectful. When there is something wrong with the building you have to go online to request it ,and then wait until they reach back with you. There's no telling how long that will take .

Also they never answer the phone it goes straight to voicemail . Don't try to renew a lease that's even worse !! if you're not getting house from them you pretty much on the back burner

well my experience with them has turned quickly. They nickel and dime you to death on anything and everything. 75 dollars per maint request!!! WHATI!!! so pretty much you pay for a house that is not yours to get repaired for regular maint stuff like water leaks and broken fences that were like this when we moved in. I sent them a check for the rent and they charged me a 10 paper fee!!!! they charge for electronic payment as well.. so it is a lose lose situation.. Not Happy

The management team is very courteous and efficient. I have been a tenant for 2 years and never had to call more than once if I had an issue it was resolved very efficiently. When the maintenance men (Alfredo and Pedro) came to my resident on several occasions they were very kind and asked was there anything else needed to be done. I recommend renting from them

texas renters is the absolute worst!!! they are the worst rental company. i lived in this house for 2yrs, in that 2yrs, the hvac system went packed up, the furnace went out, the water heater broke and flooded the 3rd room and it took texasrenters 4 days to come out after the carpet swelled and smelled. they wanted to charge me for them coming out. the refriderator went out 3 times and they charged me for that too!!! i have videos of that property when i moved out. they still went ahead and charged me the exact amount of my deposit so they are keeping my deposit. but i will pursue this issue with them. i have read so many reports about them on different websites, how they scammed people and conned people. even if they dont end up giving my deposit back, i will make sure to let everyone know how horrible they are. It was noted that they keep tenants deposit if the tenant complains about them, so they throw a fit about it and "PUNISH" such tenant by keeping their deposit. The turn around and customer service is mediocre. They locked me out of the tenant portal which showed all the service requests, the payments trend. I was paying my rent 2 months a lot of the time. I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

UPDATE: I HAD A REP CALL ME FROM THIS COMPANY THIS MORNING TELLING ME BECAUSE I LEFT THEM A BAD REVIEW, I COULD POSSIBLY BE FINED $3000 BECAUSE OF A DISCLOSURE I SIGNED WHEN I RENTED. THE WORD SHE USED IS SLANDER, I TOLD HER ITS NOT SLANDER WHEN ITS THE TRUTH.THE HOUSE. SEE WHAT THEY DO, THEY TRY TO BULLY ME TO SILENCE......THEY ALREADY KNOW THE WILL BE POCKETING PEOPLE'S DEPOSIT AND THEY FIGURE TENANTS WILL KEEP QUIET WHEN THEY THREATHEN THEM WITH A $3000 FINE.

I called in late Tuesday evening as my AC had quit...

I called in late Tuesday evening as my AC had quit working. I was told an emergency call-in would be made and in less than 10 minutes Natalie called me back stating someone from the AC Company would be calling me to setup coming to repair it. Natalie also called me Yesterday morning to see if it had been repaired yet, I told her they were coming between 12-2, she then called to confirm with the AC company that they were coming out when they said and called me back to tell me they were still coming. Once the repair time window passed she called to see if it was fixed or not which it was. Natalie did an outstanding job making sure things were taken care of.

We have lived in our house for 3 years, our ac went out Friday afternoon, and working with Natalie has been the best experience working with someone on a repair since we moved in. Someone was out that evening even though the repair wasn t able to be completed until Monday, she stayed in contact with both myself and the owner of the house to relay information, and calling after the repair was complete to make sure that our ac was working. I hope they keep her on the maintenance side of things because her customer service skills are on point. The reason I did 4 stars is as a company overall there is room for improvement and that goes for a majority of companies.

I am leasing a town house in the Galleria area of ...

I am leasing a town house in the Galleria area of Houston. One recent Sunday night I arrived home and went up stairs to get ready for bed. It was around 9pm. It had been a hot and dry day. When I stepped into the master bedroom it was like I was stepping outside into a rain storm. There was a valve connected to the water heater that was not working properly and it was literally raining in my bedroom. I have no idea when it started as I was gone most of that day. I could not find the main water shutoff and was not aware at the time that it was the water heater. I thought I had a pipe that must have burst. I logged into the Tenant Portal immediately and left a "high" priority emergency maintenance request. I also called the after hours emergency line and left a message with the answering service. I stayed logged in and saw that the answering service also left a high priority emergency maintenance request on the same Tenant Portal that I used. Just to be safe, I also called Rescue Rooter to arrange for them to come out as I had no idea what to expect from Texas Renters.

Turns out Rescue Rooter was not needed and I got to cancel that request. Jessica Gonzales with Texas Renters called me within about 15 minutes of my initial request on the Tenant Portal. She also emailed me the name of an after-hours contractor that she had already arranged to come out immediately. I then spoke to the contractor who had someone there within about an hour. Their repair crew was able to stop the leak, figure out what was going on and even make the complete repair. They were finished by about 11:30pm and even cleaned up after themselves.

Jessica then followed up BOTH that night AND several times over the following days just to make sure I was okay. She even arranged for another contractor to come out to survey the areas that had been inundated with water to make sure there was no rot or mold and to treat to prevent same from occurring. All in all this was as painless an experience (considering what I came home to) as I ever could have hoped for. Jessica was AMAZING. Hat's off to Texas Renters for hiring Jessica. With people like her you guys are well represented. Thanks again. 5 Stars from this Tenant related to this experience.

Texas renters has been great with me and my family...

Texas renters has been great with me and my family from the first day we moved in to one of their homes. Recently we had an issues with our AC and Client Relations was prompt and took care of the problem within hours that we didn't have to go stay in the hotel that they offered. Keep up the good work and the excellent customer service.

If you are thinking about leasing from here DONT. I wish I would have listened to the hundreds of bad reviews before I signed. Absolutely horrible customer service. You get charged a fee for someone to come fix your garbage disposal. Fee is more than the price for you to just buy a new disposal and fix it yourself. You also get charged 10$ a month for ac filters that you ll never see. Never seen the disrespect from the lady I talked when I called. So again, look elsewhere!!

Oh and these reviews are fake , you are bribed with a 25$ Amazon gift card to say someone nice about the company in google reviews LOL!

We have had an incredibly unpleasant experience with Texas Renters. Major repairs are not timely handled and communication is poor. They do not consider a broken A/C and water heaters to be emergency repairs and believe that 7 days is a reasonable timeframe to repair them. Be very careful about the lease you sign. Read it with a fine tooth comb. Their lease states they can enter for any reason and they exercise this right. They will enter the property regardless if it is convenient for your schedule. There are too many properties to choose from to endure this type of treatment.

To be honest I've read the other reviews and have mixed feelings. Let's hope Texas Renters keeps their end of the deal on the make ready of the property. I'll repost after the initial check list requests are completed.

I have been renting from Texas Renters for a year ...

I have been renting from Texas Renters for a year now. Overall it has been more of a positive experience than a negative one. The complaint I have is more with the owner than the management company itself. At the end of the day Texas Renters has stayed on top of my maintenance request and has made my stay in the home a pleasant one.

I really appreciate the overall process. After applying for 3-4 houses with different companies and having issues with getting my paperwork accomplished from far away. The ease of TexasRenters process made applying for a house seamless. Clarissa answered all questions that I had and I look forward to future dealings with this company.

Very poor and unprofessional employees. I called three times and the receptionist sent me to voicemail. After I called back I spoke to another lady that transferred and hung up on me. I called back a third time only to not get answered and my call went to straight to holding. Seriously take your business somewhere else. Unclear, unprofessional will make sure people know how you treat people! Update: Read your lease carefully! These people attempted to come into our home without prior notification! We called the police because we thought someone was breaking in. We found out it was an employee of Texas Renters. They said they send over a notification through email that they where scheduled to come and inspect. We never received anything, not even a phone call that they where coming over! Also we moved in November Thanksgiving week and our condo had no heat, leaking faucets, dirty carpets, dirty tile floors, broken locks, cracks under the door, cracks in the ceiling, dirty air filters, and a broken dishwasher! The agent said everything was suppose to be fixed when we moved in. We didn't have heat almost a month and the guy that came to fix said the owner "didn't have time to be fixing small things like this" and "he was too busy fixing million dollar homes!". Beware and stay aware from this group! It will save you the heartache and problems! Absolutely horrendous!

We are entering in our second lease with Texas Renters. We are not only pleased with our home and location but also the service we've received from Kimberly Ortiz and the Texas Renters team. Whenever we have had an issue it has been handled in a timely manner and they follow up to make sure all is well. I definitely recommend Texas Renters to anyone seeking to lease.

We have been renters with Texas Renters for right a year now and have had a wonderful experience. We had several issues with our first rental house due to owner neglect and Texas Renters was able to work with us to get problems corrected. One issue resulted in our need to vacate the home and Texas Renters worked with us to get us into another home that we absolutely love. We have been in our new home a month now and have had nothing but good things to say about this home as well as the way Texas Renters has helped us and taken care of any maintenance requests that we have submitted. Thank you to Aria and the whole crew at Texas Renters.

Yup, our air conditioner went out when it was about 150 degrees..... I went to their portal and signed in for the service request. I then spoke with Aira on the phone. During the course of this ordeal she was professional, LISTENING TO ME and my concerns. Aira handled all on her end in the swiftest manner possible and called me along the way with updates so that while I was sitting in a swelter at least I was not wondering what was going on....... While we were in the HEAT, at least Aira handled the situation the best it could be done. CUSTOMER SERVICE is a foreign concept in some Companies but she Represented her Company to the highest level possible. Thanks Aira!

Every since me and my family started leasing a home through Texas Renters the experience has been good. But what has especially made my experience Great!!! is Ali who just started with Texas Renters. Recently we came across some issues with the home and Ali has been so great and responsive throughout the whole entire process from start to finish and I so greatly appreciate that! She has been there for me and my family with issues the entire time. As a matter of fact she has been the only one I have been able to reach out to and she returns my calls and messages when at the beginning no one would and I really appreciate that. Makes a difference when you are able to speak with a live person. She so sweet and great! Texas Renters is so lucky to have her on there team. Thank you again Ali you rock!!!!!

I wish I could rate under a Star. This is the absolute WORSE apartment owners ever. My Girlfriends lives there and when she moved in the carpet was Gross. There were holes in the Carpet and FLEES. She was told by the management to move out until they get the issues resolved and she had no where to go wither the full UHAUL. Also every time she calls she is never answered and no one ever return phone calls after many many messages. If you are thinking of Renting here or working with these people DO NOT!!!!!!

We had some issues in the beginning of our lease with this company and I was so angry and frustrated that I wanted to move the day our lease was up. However we gave it another chance and as time went on, things really improved. We were notified of everything from maintenance to inspections, etc well in advance and we were able to get help whenever we called with questions. We renewed our lease 3 times before finally moving out to buy a house and we had no issues through the inspection process or move-out process. We were even sent a detailed list of what our security deposit would be used for. (Which is fine because we knew it would need to be used!) all in all, it was a rough start but ended up being happy with them.

The office staff has been very responsive when I ve had an issue at the property. I most recently had to have the dishwasher repaired. The service technician TX Renters uses was great. He had to order a part but came back when he said he would and completed the repairs in a timely fashion.
