My wife and I purchased a used 2012 Ford Edge from Tenvorde and at the time of purchase were told it couldn't have really any type of warranty because it had 150k highway miles. Within a week, electronic features of the vehicle stopped working, cruise control, backup camera, bluetooth functionality etc. Called and left what must have been have a half dozen messages with management and never received a call back. They had no problem calling us back about an issue with our trade in title they somehow lost, which was an even bigger slap in the face... We went back in person and was told we should have gotten the warranty if we wanted them to do the right thing and fix the things that immediately stopped working when we drove it off the lot. Classic crooked dealership. No wonder they're the oldest Ford dealership, they know all the tricks to swindle customers and have been at it for over 100 years. It's in your best interest to only buy a brand new vehicle from these guys I promise you.

EDITED REVIEW: Originally I was happy with my purchase. However that changed fairly quickly. They called me randomly and said they had some parts for my car and to replace them. I didn't pay for that, however NOTHING about it was mentioned when I bought it. I did however wait for hours longer than I was told I would have to. They wrote up a problem that they said they were going to fix when I bought it. They have had it more than once and the problem is STILL there. I've told them, but they reassure me it isn't. It's a wind noise, trust me, it's there. When I bought it, they replaced the engine since there was a knock. They however didn't fix all the issues with that since I'm now having the same problem again. I also have come to realize that that is why they never once would have me start it while being in the car. They used the auto start from a ways away every time it needed to be started when I looked at it. I swear they were hiding the engine knock. There was way more scratches on it than it looked. And everything it's there they run it through the car wash thing, but it never looks good. It's still just as dirty. Any other car I've had somewhere else they actually detail the outside of it. I have wasted so much time there for all this... I live an hour away... I've had to take many days off of work to bring it in since they have to have it by a certain time, but never get to it until hours later. I literally cannot wait to get rid of this car. I won't ever shop here again. I recommended a friend here who has had nothing but issues with her car too. I feel absolutely horrible for it and will never do it again.
I was in the market for a used car, but wasn't going to be happy with one as I wanted a crossover like I was used to. Zach Stumpf was the salesperson who helped me out and I 100% recommend him! I never told him about all the options I would love to have in a vehicle, and he found me one on their lot that had all of them and more! I've had to purchase a few cars in the last couple of years for various reasons and this purchase was by far the most enjoyable experience I've ever had at a car dealership! Zach is so much fun, knowledgeable, funny, nice, and dedicated to making sure that his customers are all being helped the best they can be. He had many customers at the time I bought my car, and he still managed to help me and make me feel like I was his only customer at that moment. As a dealership, they are very friendly as well. They even agreed to fix a couple of things when they didn't have to as it was used. They also offer a warranty on some of their used vehicles that I've never seen at another dealership! I am happy that I will become a repeat customer to them, and Zach, as I am still in awe that I was able to purchase a vehicle stress free! Both the dealership and Zach seem to be very genuine all around! For not wanting to purchase a car (but needing to for financial reasons) I left the dealership more than happy with my purchase and my experience!!

I called about a vehicle listed online. I was told that they just got it in, but the guy also said he went out and took a look and considered it to be in great shape! I, in desperate need of wheels and one option nearby that I was really serious about, jump in my 16 passenger rental van (all that was available) and drive from twin cities to St. Cloud to find a vehicle that has had little or know upkeep, has been driven really hard, is missing body parts, and either had several accidents and/or a salvage title. I didn't even test drive it. The killer was that the sales guy and his manager really didn't seem to care in the slightest. I'll never go back

4/4/19 I contacted Tenvoorde regarding an airbag recall. They let me know they are scheduling all the way out into July. The first available appointment they could offer me for the recall repair was 7/17/19! How ridiculous. I called another Ford dealership and was able to get an appointment next week 4/11/19; they sad many dealers don t like doing recalls because hey don t make money on them. I m disappointed that Tenvoorde would jeopardize the safety of people in their community in order to make a dollar. Sad. On a positive note the people I spoke with to make and cancel my appointment were very friendly. Do better Tenvoorde.

miles from this dealership which has a HUGE part in this review.
This was in the middle of the week maybe a Tuesday or a Wednesday I might add.
I would like to understand why this dealership has a credit application online on it's website if it is not taken seriously. What is "Serious" you might ask? I filled out my credit application online and someone contacted me immediately. I told them the two vehicles that I was considering A Fusion and an Escape and I asked if they could use my credit application that I filled out online to see what I could get approved for with the bank. Immediately I was "encouraged" to consider leasing as my options. I said that I had been leasing for about 10 years and I wanted to buy my next vehicle. They understood and said they would "work on this right away" I got some E-mails back from Nick Furey saying that If i were to Buy the Vehicles vs leasing them what the prices would be. I thought wow they actually did the work for me so going there filling out the paperwork would be easy.
WRONG- I found out that the dealership really never did any of the work for me with my credit application and were just giving me random estimations of numbers based on what they thought the bank was going to approve. When I arrived at the dealership on a Saturday nothing had been submitted to the bank for approval for financing and I found that I would need at least 3 or 4 thousand dollars down to get into anything.
I Traveled 60 miles out of my way for people to say they went out of their way for me ultimately did nothing for me until I showed up in front of them. I work in sales in real estate and I know that this is not how to treat customers. Had I known they were going to come up with that answer ahead of time I clearly wouldn't of wasted 5 hours of my Saturday there. I clearly stated in the E-mails with them that I wanted to know the options ahead of time so I did not travel 60 miles to have some lady in the finance department say I was not approved for anything.
I will not be going back there. If this is any indication of how communication is handled at this dealership I would highly highly suggest reconsidering visiting them. If a customer fills out a credit ap online and knows exactly what he or she is looking for and is serious about buying a vehicle, why wouldn't someone submit it to the bank for the approval instead of just telling a customer random numbers and having them come in to understand the Sales Associate Jim Schall and Internet Sales consultant Nick Furey Did nothing with the file at all.

Set up an appointment on Monday for Friday to get my truck worked on explain the situation it had factory recalls. and my truck was leaking antifreeze and I needed that looked at.the guy in the service department was trying to help me out some other guy with a smug smile on his face came over and just told me go somewhere else we're not going to help. We're not going to get stuck with a bill because your truck is out of factory warranty. I was trying to explain my situation that I just bought the truck 3 days before I called on Monday and my truck has a lifetime warranty through the dealership I bought it from and they were going to cover the cost of the repair for the Leaky antifreeze because they did not want me driving the truck. I was trying to get three factory recalls taken care of. and figure out why my truck was leaking antifreeze.but apparently they don't do factory recalls at this facility or work on antifreeze leaks. So I left and drove the truck to Inver Grove Heights where I purchased it from on the way there I found out what my antifreeze leak was my radiator cracked in half cost me a $650 tow all because my situation was explained on Monday to the service technician that scheduled my appointment when I brought my truck for the appointment on Friday they refuse to work on it same situation nothing changed except for the day of the week

The sales department is very good to work with, but do yourself a favor and don't use Quicklane or their service department. They are slow, can't hold an appointment time, and always want you to leave your vehicle even for an oil change. I recommend taking care of any service issues somewhere else after buying a vehicle from them! Also, for an individual that uses the service shop I would recommend checking your lights considering most people have automatic lights. For some reason they turn them off which is fine, but you would think if customer safety was important they would make sure they are back in the position the customer had them. This hasn't only happened to us, it has happened to others as well.

We did the test drive and decided we wanted to keep looking. We weren't impressed by the stains in the seats. The sales person (Zach) was very upfront about us either "being serious" about buying a vehicle or we were wasting his time.

Extremely poor customer service. Ford was required to purchase my car back on the lemon law. Tenvoorde has made the experience extremely difficult. It has been 3 weeks since my buy back, and they still have not paid me monies owed. Furthermore, while I owned the Ford Focus, Tenvoorde did nothing to stand by the transmission problem that I dealt with over and over. Thank goodness Minnesota has a lemon law to file complaints with. But I am still owed several hundred dollars from Tenvoorde and every time I call I'm told "It's in process." I would encourage you to never deal with Tenvoorde.

The worst dealer in the area, don t ever go there specially if you re a person of color. I brought my car there for service and no one even tried to ask me why I m there. They ignore me for like 30 minutes while helping people who walked in after me, until a man came out of an office and asked questions. Horrible place and people not all of them but most of them.

The salesperson Ron sold my wife and I a truck with numerous issues. We purchased knowing there was a broken window motor and a window that needed to be fixed as it was off track. Ron assured us it would be $250 max but it ended up being $400. A couple days later, the heat completely stops which resulted in another $400 or so. Then a couple days after that, a check engine light comes on for emissions issues.
Before I can even get that looked at, the truck caught on fire with my family in it. There was a remote starter incorrectly installed by the previous owner. The dealership did not disclose this and clearly didn't inspect it. They've made comments on other reviews of not being able to predict future repairs etc. The part was there the whole time in its state. It had split and frayed wiring that was poorly wrapped in electrical tape. So they are either inept at inspecting vehicles or don't actually thoroughly inspect them and miss things like that.
Additionally, when we tried to go back to get a credit towards a significantly more expensive vehicle, my wife was treated like garbage. We ended up deciding to buy elsewhere and take a $3,000 hit on the vehicle.
P.S. We test drove a Chrysler before buying the Dodge Ram. There was a check engine light on (common theme here) and the car was jerking and driving horribly. We go back to the dealership and Ron had a technician go look at it. The tech comes back, tells us it is a catalytic converter and should only be a couple hundred dollars. I asked how as that is typically a pretty pricey repair. He said, well I would just shave the part out and then just straight pipe it. I asked if that was legal and he laughed and said well luckily we don't live in California.
With comments and employees like that, it is no wonder their used vehicles have ample problems. If you want to be treated like garbage, buy a new vehicle and hope you never have to step foot in the dealership again.

went in to test drive differnt gear ratios on a new truck, I knew the trim I wanted just didn't know for sure the different feels of low and hi ratios. I delt with Darin Ennen, he let me test all the trucks I needed. I felt no pressure to buy that day, I shared I'd go home and sleep on it, talk it over with the wife. He was ok with that. That was on Saturday, I then thought it through all weekend, called him first thing monday moring with an offer, and he made it happen, plus got the accessories I wanted put on that day. I live 3 hours from the dealership, asked if he could meet me after hours as I work 12s. He did one better, and delivered the truck to me 3 1/2 hours away (I was at work) on the same day and drove my trade back. Saved me 6 hours of driving and several thousand dollars over my local dealers. When I called Tenvoorde Ford about a special limited production car, they referred me to one of their staff who proved to be impressive both as salesman and person. He was comfortable and easy to talk with, was responsive and always answered questions. I do not know any other Tenvoorde sales staff except Jim Schall, but if they are comparable to him, any potential customer cannot go wrong. This guy was genuinely enthusiastic, excited, helpful, and friendly. He went way beyond thoughtful by providing a copy of the Ford announcement of Tenvoorde's single allocation of this special car, a 50-year commemorative Mustang Bullitt. He let me know when he learned of the production date and estimated arrival time. When Tenvoorde received a 2'X3' poster of the car, he had his wife provide a tube mailer to send it to me. He sent a brochure of the car and saved extras of the poster and brochure to give me at the time of purchase. I also got to have the Steve McQueen cutout ride home with me in the passenger seat. Jim even bought a replica California vintage license plate from the original 1968 movie Mustang that was mounted on the car when we arrived at Tenvoorde. That was a special gesture. I probably should have taken it off because a trooper could have run it through the system knowing the 1969 tab was illegal. However, that would have made for a good (and expensive) story. Jim made sure that the accessory staff did the desired prep work by having me talk directly with perfectionist Caleb Nelson. When asked about his family, Jim happily shared pictures and stories that we enjoyed. We also appreciated the finance manager, Tony Smebak, who was friendly, cheerful, and informative. At least four other employees provided smiles with positive comments. Two other special attractions at the dealership are a beautiful super- powerful Shelby and an equally charming 20-horsepower 1914(?) shiny-brass-radiatored Model T phaeton.

Very disappointed with this dealership. We purchased a vehicle at the end of December. Within just a few weeks, we started having issues with it overheating. We took it to our mechanic and ended up having the radiator replaced along with some hoses. A few weeks later we noticed we were still having issues with no heat and low coolant again. Our mechanic looked it over and did a pressure test and found out it was the head gasket. We have just as much into this vehicle as we paid for it and I feel that this issue should have been found by the service department during inspection upon taking this vehicle in. From the initial repair I have attempted several times to make contact with the dealership leaving message after message with zero return calls. I finally after several days spoke with service and was brushed off and told they couldn t help me that I needed to speak to the used car manager . I have yet to get a return call from anyone at the dealership. Finally today after attempting to reach this so called used car manager I finally got ahold of the salesperson and explained the issue. I was told I was out of luck and moth they could do but that he could talk to the used car manager and one of them would call me back in a few minutes. Several hours later I get a text message stating the sales person talked to the used car manager and again I was out of lick but he could still have him give me a call when be returns in a few days. Terrible customer service as I can t even get a simple phone call back. I get a text message. I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership nor will I refer any of my customers to them from the bank I work at. I will give the worst review to anyone I talk to.

I brought my F350 in for some much needed front end work and a DOT inspection in early April, which they claim to have repaired the next day. The problem is, is that less than two weeks later while traveling at highway speeds in the middle of Wyoming I lost control of the steering with a large trailer in tow. The steering issue is the reason I brought it to the dealership in the first place and one would assume a Ford dealer could diagnose a Ford truck with a not so uncommon issue. Long story short, I had to have the truck repaired in Wyoming since I didn't feel safe driving it any more. The shop that did the repairs was more than a little surprised to hear the truck had just been in a dealership and they missed the other 8 worn out moving parts on the front end which totaled $2,500.00 (these parts did not wear out in less than 1000 miles) It's not the money that angers me though, I would have gladly paid that to the dealer to fix all of the problems to prevent the issues I experienced. My issue with Tenvoorde is their lack of response, I emailed the Service Manager and Mike Tenvoorde about my concerns and neither one responded. I've purchased vehicles and spent several thousand dollars in their shop and I expect someone to explain why my truck left the road at 65 mph because they failed to see the obvious. In the future, I will make sure that my 5 company trucks and do not go to Tenvoorde for any service work, I will also advise anyone who will listen to find a more reliable dealer to do business with.

We have purchased and serviced two cars at Tenvoorde Ford. Recently when in St Cloud for a medical appointment our car died. We made it to Tenvoorde where the service manager, Mike, found us a loaner so we could get to my appointment. Mike called the next day with a diagnosis of the problem but they also discovered another serious issue. Mike went to work documenting the warranty issue and arranged for the repairs. Throughout the protracted warranty and repair process, Mike kept us informed. Repair service at Tenvoorde may be more expensive at times but the competence and confidence is worth the difference, you get what you pay for. The entire team at Tenvoorde sets the standard and Mike will always have your back.

I trust him and he does a great job of treating a customer with respect. He more than makes up for the other shortcomings of the dealership. Ladies beware! So I work with a little old lady. She is sweet, but cars are not her thing and she is of meager means. We talked about her Ford, how she purchased it from Tenvorde Ford and has had problems. With the engine light on, she had them diagnosis it and quote $4,000 in repairs. Mind you, the engine light was on but there were NO physical symptoms. I have a code reader and checked it. It's a timing sensor, when they planned to replace a bunch of hardware. The other fault was a catalytic sensor and they wanted to replace the actual converter. Both $75, granted the catalytic converter might be remedied with just a fuel additive. Or they could switch her to a different car. Sofa king unconscionable.
