George at Tenvoorde showed me and EXPLAINED all the new technology I d be getting in my new Edge here. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM TENVOORDE
My wife and I are in our 50's and have purchased numerous cars over the years from numerous dealerships. We have purchased both new and used cars from both foreign and domestic dealerships. Without question, this dealership (Tenvoorde) is by far the worst business we have ever dealt with.
Examples: The used car we purchased leaked transmission fluid, from the first night we brought it home, on our garage floor. This problem was not disclosed by the sales person and we were forced to drive back to St Cloud to have the leak repaired.
In addition, one of the key fobs they gave us did not work from the start. Only after we got home were we told that "many used cars only have 1 working key fob". When I called to complain, our sales person declined to replace it and literally hung up on me.
After a few weeks, the car's water pump failed and we had to have it repaired locally by a different Ford dealer rather than having it towed 60 miles to St Cloud. When the local dealer called to verify our extended warranty, they were told that it wasn't Tenvoorde which sold the car to us but in fact was another local (Choice Auto of St Cloud) used car dealer which sold the car to us. This was not disclosed to us at the time of purchase. The local dealer was also told (by Choice Auto) that our extended warranty did not cover the water pump when in fact the warranty clearly states that the water pump is covered. Only after we showed the local dealership our warranty details was it determined that the water pump was in fact covered by our warranty. Our sales agreement is from Tenvoorde but apparently they have some sort of cooperation with Choice Auto (across the street). Our local Ford dealer service manager commented "I have never seen a dealership run this way".
We are left to question what sort of business Tenvoorde is operating. We don't trust their sales people, they are not transparent with disclosing known issues to their customers and we will never purchase anything from them again. Be warned!

I had a terrible experience with Tenvoorde Ford Service department and with the store Manager Deb Tenvoorde. They are unwilling to admit fault or wrong doing or even come to a compromise for service issues. I purchased a Ford Extended warranty so my wife could have a zero hassle car while I was in Afghanistan. This plan warranties any covered repair, for 100 dollars. I brought my car in for the first time after owning it for over a year and a half with 3 issues. 1 of the issues was covered the other two were not. They charged me 89 dollars to test my door and tell me the suspension issues were not covered. Trying to work with them and develop an understanding was like talking to a shovel. I was not trying to get out of paying I want to pay the predetermined amount established by ford of 100 dollars. These folks would not budge. I am not going to go in to everything else but 1 Star is a very generous rating. I love Ford just not this dealership. Stay away.

Zach Stumpf was the BEST! He went out of his way to make the process go smoothly, including coming to my job to pick up my old car to be brought in and valued, all while I worked. I d recommend working with him any day. 5 stars!
The finance department could use some training on listening and respecting people s financial boundaries, however. 2 stars.

Drove 50mi. To have my 2015 /F350 quik lube oil service only to find out that the 1& only overhead door is broken .Tom said it's going to be 2hrs+ depending on what it needs for parts, I could wait and take may chances, he didn't seem to care that I drove 1Hr.and then to then wait 2+ more, then another 1hr.home., called North County Ford 10 Min.from home, only to find out they TAKE APPTS. As well as walk -ins. North County made my decision a no brainer. Now I don't have to waste 1/4 tank of gas and 2hr.on the road. Been going to 1040 for 2yrs. When I purchased my truck, have always had good service till today. Add another door & make appts.

They will get you in and out if your on a time crunch. If you ever need a truck or car go see Zach he will treat you right. Real good guy to deal with.

Overall lots of nice cars for great prices, easy to finance and Darin is great at working with you to make something work out. After looking for a new truck for three months, an...

After looking for a new truck for three months, and visiting with multiple sales people at multiple dealers in the area, including but not limited to Miller, Gilleland, and Schwieters, I finally stopped in at Tenvoorde Ford. My experience with Tenvoorde was the best me or my father have ever had. As a younger person (early 20 s) I wanted to be assured I was making a good decision and not being worked over, so I brought my dad with me to every dealership as a decoy of sorts. We dealt with over 10 salesmen at multiple dealerships before stopping at Tenvoorde and NOT ONE of them took the time with me and my dad to figure out that I was the one looking to purchase. They saw a middle aged man with a touch of grey hair as money in the bank, and proceeded to feature him to death, all the while ignoring ME (AKA the purchaser in this situation).
With that being said, BOTH of the salesmen we dealt with at Tenvoorde, Keith McCain and Andy Maruska, took the time to discover that I was the one looking to purchase. After they figured that out, they didn t feature me to death, but actually listened to what I was looking for and got me into a truck that suited my needs perfectly. Andy and Keith were professional and courteous, which is exactly what I expect from a vehicle dealership. Backing them up was a phenomenal support staff with Caleb Nelson in the Accessory Department and Colleen Krisko in the Business Office. My experience could not have been better with Tenvoorde Ford and I would highly recommend all of the people mentioned above.
I would also like to give a special thanks and shout-out to Andy and Colleen for staying well after closing time to work with me.
If you re in the market for a vehicle, go to Tenvoorde Ford before making a decision.

This is the second time they have given me a trade in quote way below market value. They said that my super duty was worth $15,000 on Kelly Blue Book. On the same website when I looked it up it said my trade is worth $20,000 to $23,000 trade in. Never going back there again.

Had my wife take our 2013 Ford Explorer in for a Pre road trip inspection because we heard some noises from the wheels...we have an extended Bumper to Bumper Warranty when we bought it as a Certified Pre-owned.

They take it in, call her about an hour later and say that the wheels are fine but the brakes need to be changed...

BARRY A JENSEN/3460 tells my wife that the brakes will cost some $340.. (brakes being normal wear and tear sure, not covered under warranty)...

Told my wife to pay the $130.94 bill (for them to "Inspect" our vehicle.. Called over to Granite City Tire & Auto asked about an oil change and brake job... $230. Sounds good, scheduled.

*THE NEXT DAY*
Granite City calls me and tells me that my brakes are fine, can wait a few months before I would need to change the rear, but good to go for now...rotated my tires (and now the squeak is gone) Paid $68.99 !

Idiots, how the $HIT are you gonna tell my wife that the brakes need changed, charge $340 for it and it's not needed.. she may have a German accent but she's no Tourist and knew something wasn't right for that price and called me first.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had written a review a few weeks ago about this Ford dealership, but I took it down, because John from the service department had contacted me after I wrote it. I just needed an admin key made for my car, and the MyKey to be reset. I spent an hour and a half there, and all they got done was making me a basic key (not with a fab), which is not what I wanted. John told me that the mechanic working on my car couldn't do the job, and that he'd call me the next day to make another appt with somebody else that can do the job. I ended up paying for the basic key and leaving. The next day came and went, no call. No call for the next couple of days after that, so I finally just took my car into Holt Motors in Cokato, and they reset my MyKey in a half hour. I don't know why that was so hard for Tenvoorde Ford to figure out. Anyway, that was my experience with them, and I wrote a review. Then john called me the next day apologizing and he said that he'll make me the fab key for free, and that he's going to refund me my money for the other basic key that was made. I was hesitant, but I went in anyway. Everything seemed to go well, and I walked out with my fab key. Before I left, john told me that I'll be getting the refund as well, and to email him the receipt from Holt Motors, and he was going to try to get that refunded as well. I left feeling better about Tenvoorde ford, they really seemed to be sorry for their mistakes, and willing to fix them. Fast forward a few weeks, and I still don't have a refund. I emailed john a couple times, as well as left him messages, all with no response from him. Finally, I talked to Barry, and told him what was going on, he said he'd call me back on Monday (today) to let me know what the manager said. Barry called me back, and said that the manager is not going to do a refund, but will set up an acct for credit. I said no, john told me I was getting a refund. Why would I take my car back to this service center that I don't trust? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...that's not going to happen. He said sorry, but that's what the manager said. So I told him to have John call me, because he said that I was getting a refund. He said ok, and that was it. I'm beyond frustrated! They are all liars at Tenvoorde Ford, and I am never taking my car back there again! They really don't care about customer service, and will try to rip you off in any way possible. They made me a key I didn't want, and they won't refund me the money. That's horrible! Holt motors is my new Ford dealership. They actually know what they're doing, and don't lie.

Great communication with sales person, Jared explained at great length about 'sync my ride'. Lots of room for five people. Sleek lines. Great cargo space. Great protection for children riding in back seats. Beautiful interior. Lots of room when back seats fold down. Fantastic mileage. Very smooth ride both on streets and highway.Very happy with purchase and Jared's explanation of how the computer works. Very happy with how the service department works and the hours they are available to service our car.

Service department is not the brightest bulbs in the box. I've had a parts person try to tell me the hubcaps on my pickup we're not hubcaps. That they were rims because that's what he computer showed him . I had to literally go out and pull off hubcap for him to believe me that I wasn't an idiot although I was made to feel like one . On other vehicles I have brought in for warranty work with a pre approved appointment, I got a phone call several hours later that the work couldn't be completed due to their volume of services. It's always something and has not left the best impression on me.

It was fine at first but then 6 months later I had a problem go in to get it fixed...literally get back home and it doesn't work..bring it back and I get different answers and after a week its fixed but then literally the next day I get an oil change from a company close and apparently I have leaks so im not happy with the service team what's so ever. And was told everything was fine before they had to fix the problem they said. I spent over 600 on it so far and waiting for the guy to call me back to actually get answers on what they did. And my friend has had problems

I always feel like a second class citizen,when I bring my escape SUV in for repair, its sad because I had a great buying experience. I brought my car in for an estimate and when I brought the car for repair it cost me 51.00 dollars more, and not only that I got the car back it is still doing the same thing. I brought it back and the guys in the shop didn't say much the one guy said well your car is 10 years time to trade up my SUV has low miles it was an insult to me I asked him if he could afford a 350.00 to 400.00 a month car payment he looked at me and said no. I have explained I am a single gal that does not have a high hourly wage and most of it also goes to taxesand insurance. So I am going to get my car looked at it another repair shop I will no longer bring my vechilce back there or purchase another car from them they lost a loyal customer

while searching for our 2015 Escape I came across ...

while searching for our 2015 Escape I came across one at Tenvoorde Ford on-line and emailed for more information and that I had a trade. The next day I was contacted to see if I had more questions on the Escape, after those were answered we moved on to my trade. The sales person and I text and called back and forth several times and came to an agreement and then arranged to meet the next day. When getting to the dealership I drove theirs and they drove mine, all was good and we started the paper work. Everyone we met at Tenvoorde Ford were very helpful and friendly making our buying experience wonderful, you can definitely tell they care about you with the attention to detail they all have and how stream lined the whole process was. Because our Escape was washed and detailed when we got there we were in and out in a couple hours and drove it home that day. Great job Tenvoorde Ford, and Thank You!

For new car sales, please beware of their online pricing. I found the vehicle I wanted that was competitively priced. I called to confirm that the vehicle was priced accurately online and was told yes, due to their deep discounts. Within 5 hours the online price of that vehicle was raised well over that of the competition. When I contacted them again about the rise in price, I was told it was priced wrong and asked if they could find something else in my price range. Just glad I hadn't waste my time driving a great distance to find out that their published prices are wrong. My only reason for the 2 star vs 1 star rating was Angie. Her communication, although incorrect, was timely and professional.

I bought a used 2001 Ford F150 SuperCrew Lariat fr...

I bought a used 2001 Ford F150 SuperCrew Lariat from them with 167,000 miles on it. I was leary about buying a vehicle with that many miles, but was assured by the sales person that the vehicle had gone through their inspection and was fine. During the test drive, I noticed a ticking sound coming from the engine area. I was assured that it was nothing and would go away once it warmed up, which it did. I found out later that it was a common problem with the exhaust studs rotting off and the manifold coming loose. They quoted me $1,500+ to fix it, the + being if they ended up having to remove the cylinder head to do the repair. Then 5,000 miles later, the rear driver-side suspension broke. The leaf spring bracket and hanger were so rust rotted that they actually broke right off the frame. When I called to express my disappointment, I was told "It was inspected and you bought it as-is". Good to know they care so much about their customers.

I was looking for a new F150 and looked at several local dealers which were not very helpfull or eager to work with me if they didn't have what I wanted already on the lot. Tenvoorde is about 3 hours away from me but had a friend recommend them so contacted them to give them a shot. Erik was very eager to help me find what I was looking for. Had a few specific option I needed which were hard to find. He was able to track down a few which we pursued but were presold and unable to get. End of the model year so last option was to just order a new customized 2019 truck with everything I wanted in it. Pricing was very competitive. Gave me top bluebook value for my trade. Best thing for me dealing from long distance was Erik was able to communicate promptly and keep me updated with email, phone and text often beyond normal business hours. I don't have a lot of time to sit on the phone so texting worked great. Having Chris and the accessory department there was also a huge bonus. I live rural so don't have accessory stores in my small town which is inconvenient to set up appointments and installs out of town. I was able to order what I wanted and have it all installed and ready to go when I picked up the new truck as well as role the cost into the financing. Erik was very knowledgeable going over the truck and all the options when I came for delivery. Kolin made the paperwork smooth and helped pick the best financing options available to fit my budget as well as was realistic about good warranty options what I needed or didn't. Wasn't pushy about needing to buy something I wouldn't get value from. Very happy with the experience and worth working out of town 3hrs away to get the service and deals I got. As for the truck it is everything I was hoping for. Converted this life long Chevy guy to a first time ford and no regrets.

Great experience buying a 2013 focus through Dan Larsen here at Tenvoorde Ford.

Being from the St.Cloud area originally, I wanted to buy a car back home that I could register there and bring home with me when I finish my time in the military. The dealership and everyone I worked with there were very friendly and always replied to my emails and phone calls in a timely and friendly manner. They made it incredibly easy to coordinate a car purchase even when I was 1300 miles away, and when I came home to get it, I was only in the dealership for an hour or so and they had everything ready for me. I plan on purchasing all my future vehicles from this dealership and I recommend it to anyone looking for a vehicle in the area.

I recently bought a brand new 2018 Ford Fusion from Erik Anderson and this is the second vehicle I've bought from Tenvoorde. I was not expecting to buy a new car but my old Focus got totaled which was a huge bummer! I went in to test drive some vehicles with another sales person who had left. The next time I went in to do some more test driving I was paired with Erik. He is such a wonderful guy and I'm so happy I got to work with him! He was able to fully explain everything about my new car which was very helpful as my old car was basic and easy to use compared to my new one. Everyone was able to work with my weird financial situation due to insurance and my totaled car and I am extremely grateful for that! I love my new car and I love going to Quicklane for servicing my vehicles as well!

Their selection of vehicles is great, and they really work to try to get you what you are looking for. We did not purchase a vehicle at the time but when the times comes that we are ready we will definitely be stopping back in at Tenvoorde
