The worst hospital ever! Came in with cut off fingers and is still in the waiting room 6 hours later. There's a puddle of blood under me and my ice has melted, don't think they can be reattached now.

Went in with excruciating backache. I immediately went to triage n then a room. They ran blood n urine tests, n also took some xrays. Then waited 2 hrs to get the xrays read, which wasn t their fault at all. They do that somewhere else. Now that there could improve, so patients don t have to wait that long. That s why I didn t give 5 stars.
But everyone was very nice n helpful, the place was very clean too.

I'm sitting here in the waiting room with my 18 month old who likely has pneumonia. We've been in the waiting room for almost 4 hours (leaving twice for a temp check and a chest X-ray). Her breathing is labored and I've told them that 3 times and still no admittance. They need to figure out how to see people faster. This is ridiculous.

I do not recommend Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, especially not the Labor and Delivery Department. They will not induce you at 39 weeks if you request it. They will push back your due date by two to four weeks although you as a patient has rights

First of all, I chose Tennova because I am a VA patient, but had no way to get to Nashville to the VA hospital. I arrived at the ER at around 4 pm. I was checked in for shortness of breath and abdominal pain. I no sooner turned around to have a seat in the waiting area, and before I could move, I was called back to Triage. From there I was immediately placed in a room where Robert quickly and skilfully inserted an IV into my arm and drew blood samples. From there, Dr. Wantanabe came in and asked me what types of problems I was having. After that, Connie came in and gave me a breathing treatment-which was the best thing that had happened to me over the past few days-it COMPLETELY turned my breathing around. Then a nurse from Radiology came right to my room with an x-ray machine to x-ray my chest. From there, it was about an hour before anyone came back in, which to me, was absolutely fine because I figured they were waiting on all my test results to come back. After that, Jake came to my room to wheel me down for a complete CT scan. It was quite a wait after that, but again I felt it was normal. When the results came back from the CT scan, Dr. Wantanabe came in with all of my results, prescriptions to be taken, and suggestions for follow up with Pulmonary, as well as with my PCP for possible gallstones. In my 43 years on this earth, aside from the VA (even when I was active duty Army) I have NEVER received, such prompt, friendly, COURTEOUS and CARING service. Thank you Tennova!!

My ER visit was amazing. My doctor was good and made the right decision to admit me to the hospital. My ER nurse, Emi, was absolutely compassionate while still being professional. She made sure that I was comfortable.
My hospital staff deserve a special THANK YOU for making sure I was comfortable as possible but so caring, loving and supportive. What y'all do every day is unbelievable and without you ALL, patients would be left for dead. Thank to each one of you:
RN's. TECH's

People ALWAYS say you have a guardian angel watching over you in the hospital. The problem is we don't realize that ALL of you and your fellow colleagues are our GUARDIAN ANGELS.

Worst experience ever! The registration process took hours...I would have been 2 hours late to an appointment I was 10 mins early for had I not walked out after 30mins. I was told I had preregistered on Friday only to find out Monday I had to go through the process again. I was in a waiting room with others who had already been waiting for over an hour. An elderly couple was there for simple blood work and had been waiting 45 mins just to register. I was told it would be and hour and a half and then I could go back to wait for my ultra sound, no indication on how long that would take. I'm not sure if they've ever held their bladder with a bladder infection, but it was painful!!! I suggest looking elsewhere for treatment.

Dr Atwater was great. Very caring as well as professional. I would recommend him as a Doctor to any one. The nursing staff was very good and concern as well as helpful. The hospital seemed well kept up.

Medical receptionist at the check in window was very rude to patients, yelling at a woman for no reason. Man basically kneeled down in pain and no one even offering help or wheel chair.. another patient had to for him. He s throwing up having sharp pains & no one seems to care. The longest waiting times.. there are people who have been here for 4 hours waiting & it s not even busy.. terrible hospital

Been here for FOUR and a half hours and still don t have a room or anything .. absolutely the longest wait I ve ever spent in an ER waiting room and if they had not already did an xray and labs id leave

The care from the nurses and physicians was just what I needed. Nutrition/food services, however, was very lacking. I would order my breakfast and not get it until 3 or more hours later which meant I was taking medication without any type of nourishment in 15 hours or more. The quality of the food was par for a hospital but my order was never correct (french toast and pancakes are not the same thing) and they frequently just did not bring 1/3 of what I requested. I hope the hospital will look into this aspect of their care and find ways to improve it.

Horrible hospital! Dont go here!I came in because I was having pain in my right side, vomiting, fever, etc. To my surprise, they did get me back after only 30 min of waiting. They were quick to act on what they needed to do. Found out I had a kidney stone that was stuck in my ureter and infected. So they did surgery that same day. They flushed out the infection and put a stint in. Because I had a fever, they had to hospitalize me.They wont release me until I am fever free for 24 hours. I am here now and have been here for 2 days so far. you dont get to see a doctor but for maybe 30 sec once a day. Other than that u have nurses taking care of you. The nurses are very rude and dont care about their job. They are very slow to respond to calls. If I ask for help with anything, they seem irritated to do it. Today, I was notified that they are putting me in isolation and anybody that enters my room has to wear a gown and glove. I was perfectly healthy a week ago but somehow since being here I have contained a staph infection in my urine. I googled it and it said 2 million people are diagnosed with a staph infection from a HOSPITAL per year. When I questioned the nurse about it, she is defending the hospital and is saying I probably had it coming in but just didnt know. I just so happen to be having a procedure in my ureter area. And they have been testing my urine. Day one it was fine. The staph infection wasnt contacted until day. But yet she is still defending the hospital. The hospital is dirty. I wouldnt be surprised if all the the patients contacted it.

First, the nurse who assisted my son was amazing! Very sweet woman. Hate that I can not remember her name but she deserves recognition. I liked how fast we got in and out of there BUT what I didn t like. My son was positive for the flu. Instead of prescribing him something such as Tamiflu we were sent away with a prescription for Ibuprofen. When asked I was told that the flu has to run it s course. It makes no sense. Children are out here dying because of this and I see why. There could have been more done for my son but the doctor failed him on that. I promise you, everything was perfect until he came in with the confirmed diagnosis and then also seemed as though he was in a rush and was slightly bothered when I was inquiring about other medication options for my son. So if I could base it off of only him, I would ve given a rating of one. Being that it s being judged as a whole I gave it a three. Definitely have to do better.

I had knee surgery 12 days ago and everyone from admitting to the doctor were awesome!!!!! Great communication !!! This makes my second surgery at Tennova Clarksville with the same outcome!! I don't want to have surgery but if I do, Tennova Clarksville is where I will go:)

I am giving 5 stars based on my last 2 experiences here. Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum are amazing. From the nurses to nutrition to housekeeping. They are kind and make sure you re taken care of. I have had 2 children here and both times have been a pleasant experience.

They took my blood\ ekg blood pressure and xray only to come back and tell me an hr later that i am healthy every thing looks good and that i had viral bronchitis. Worst worst case EVER! Refused to give my grandmother her belongings, took an hour and you phone calls to reach the nurses desk on CARDIAC. Floor 5. Hung up on me when I aksed to be transferred to my grandmother's room. Once I FINALLY got to speak to her, she expressed how mean they are, and how it took them 5 hours to give her pain medicine! Unacceptable!

Tennova is the worst place ever. They know nothing, & do they nothing. I need to go back home to NY before I end up dead. A bunch of incompetent & uncaring people work at the one off of Dunlop & Sango.

There is many who have said negative over Tennova, but I must say I was took care of like a baby. I would nurse and they would be there right. One Nurse name Karen she really took care of me well. Only thing I didn't like was the food.

I was warned not to come here. I'm glad that during my emergency that I gave them a chance. I could see first hand that the many warnings were true. I will definitely NOT come back to this hospital. I would not trust them with me or my loved ones well being ever. I'm having a baby soon and it scares me that this is the closest hospital! I will definitely travel to nashville or any where else for sure. The drive is just as risky as trusting this hospital.

My fiance was seen promptly in the Emergency room, we went in Sunday morning around 10 am for abdominal pain. The hospital staff did admit him and moved him to a room for treatment. the treatment was round the clock antibiotics and fluids he was on a clear fluid diet for almost three days and they asked him for a stool sample that wasn't going to happen without him eating something. the Dr's made a point of seeing him twice a day until I mentioned that we had no health insurance. Fortunately they took this to heart on the third day and stopped testing him every other hour and released him, he was better by the second day. they still don't know what cased the inflammation that they detected in his lower intestine so we will have to follow up treatment with a provider. I am cringing waiting on the bill for this visit.

I came in here after being in a car accident. I was hit by a semi truck! The P.A. "carson" was completely rude and out of line. I was instantly made out to be just another patient looking for drugs. I am a nursing Mother of a 4 month old baby. And pain medications are the last thing I want. There was zero compassion and I will never return. I will travel to Nashville or even the small hospital in Erin. Such a disrespectful, demeaning and outright rude individual. I don't understand how someone like this man can even be in a "care" position.

This review is for Shamika an ER student nurse intern.... She was the only one of the employees who had a smile on her face and had amazing enthusiasm! I was actually there because my boyfriend had a G.I. bug, she had him laughing and smiling. She told us her story and that it is never too late to be what you want to be in life! She said, "I am 40 years old and I am in nursing school! You go girl!

You're better off staying home and dying. We have a woman with an abcest in her mouth having a major panic attack in one corner and in the other a woman says "it just feels funny." Police looking for a criminal, and nurses just hanging out. You might have better luck on the your local drug dealer giving you medical advice.

To be honest, I was really hesitant to go to tennova because of the facility having such a bad rap in our community. However, I had to go to an ER closer than tristar for the symptoms I was having! Reluctantly, i went. It was a good thing that I did. They did more for me than what TriStar did and had better discharge paperwork.
The night I went in sunday 8/25, there was no one in the waiting room. The reception nurse got me through triage pretty quickly and hooked up an ECG.

The ER staff are the ones I want to bring light to. They were amazing!! My nurses Megan and Wendy were very kind, professional and efficient. My veins were fragile from being in another ER and being on IV antibiotics. They were very attentive to my needs and came to check on me several times during my stay just to make sure I didn t need anything.

My MD was Dr. Harris. I appreciate a direct person because I am one. He listened to me. Asked open ended, information seeking questions to obtain a complete history up to the current ER visit. He was candid, professional and honest about what may be the cause of my symptoms. He wanted to rule out several other conditions that could have similar symptoms just as a differential diagnosis. He ordered testing that could give him a better idea about what treatment to utilize.

I had to have a CT Performed on my lungs. The CT techs are top shelf people. Jamie and Randy were conversational, knowledgeable and had a really great sense of humor. They explained the procedure fully and what steps they were going to take to get the views they needed. They passed on their knowledge of CT scanning and I felt very comfortable getting the procedure done. The procedure has a purple radioessant dye IV given with force to get the pertinent views they need. Jamie prepped me at each step so I was aware of what was going on. When the saline was injected, I felt my vein blow and told her. She immediately stopped the progression to confirm the failure of the vein and called in another nurse to place another IV access point to continue. I was running out of realty space. The nurse nailed a vein and the only access point that didn t bruise, I didn t catch her name but she had very cool light blue eyes. Jamie has told me that when she injects the dye that it would feel like a hotflash. Well me being post menopausal, I was like ok, been there done that. However it was a completely different feeling. It felt like I took a huge swig of top shelf bourbon, a wave of high heat from torso down to my feet within in seconds. It was a really awesome experience and not comparable to a hot flash . Jamie explained that the dye dumps in to the heart and the aorta shoots it out to all areas of the body.
Jamie and Randy turned something that is usually pretty scary into lit experience. They were both personable and very good at their craft.

My personal experience opened up my eyes and changed my perception of Tennova. The majority of the staff are awesome. They take in and evaluate a large amount of people in a facility built to handle only 1/3 of the people that come through there every day. They are chronically understaffed, over worked and underpaid for the amount of people they are expected to help.

Everyone s experience will be different going to Tennova. However, people are quick to complain about the negatives. I like to give accolades to the positives and recognize those that create a comfortable, positive experience for me and go above and beyond their job descriptions. Kudos to the staff on the floor that night. The passion you have for helping people in a critical time has not gone unnoticed, not for me anyways. Thank you for taking care of me.

I've had 3 babies at Tennova HealthCare. I have always been pleased with the way they work and treat people. They are always very helpful and friendly and answer any questions or concerns I have. They go above and beyond to help you out. I drive over an hour to use them to deliver my babies. I was worried things would be different with this virus, but they was still just as caring and helpful as before. I would and have recommend this Hospital to my family and friends

I went to the ER on May 27, 2018 at appx 7:30 am to be treated for pink eye. The receptionist was very nice and I was checked in promptly. Appx 10 minutes alter I was seen by two nurses who did my initial check-in and were friendly and helpful. I was then seen by the doctor about 10 minutes later and he was very friendly and asked a lot of questions to evaluate my condition. He answered all of my questions in a professional manner and was super easy to work with. I then met the registration clerk who took care of me quickly and finally I saw the out-processing nurse who fully explained all of the details regarding the medicine I was prescribed. I was very impressed by everyone in the ER and am glad that if needed I can receive medical care there.

Writing this as we're waiting. The wife has borderline severe dehydration due to food poisoning. She hasn't been able to eat or drink anything for 4 days and needs an IV. Been sitting here for almost 4 hours. Went to ask how much longer, and was told there were 6 others ahead of us. I understand the whole triage thing, but there wasn't but 3 others here when WE got here. Tried to get a blanket because they keep it at 65 degrees, and we were told " we don't like to give out blankets in the waiting room". This place is a joke.....always has been, always will be. Change the name all they want, it'll STILL be the same old Gateway "Medical Center". More like Gateway to Hell.

Not rated the worst hospital in the Nation for no re reason. Sent my family to the wrong waiting room, lost my personal items, left me in the same scrubs while in the hospital for almost 4 days, and accidentally ripped out my IV some while transferring beds. Met maybe 3 people that was actually helpful amd nice.

STEPHEN KING HOSPITAL --- I only wish it were an e...

STEPHEN KING HOSPITAL --- I only wish it were an exaggeration. I really, sincerely, in my heart believe that the people who choose to work here are the kind of sociopaths that enjoy watching others suffer. They derive an almost sexual pleasure from the suffering of others. I am a local and have been all my 38 years of life. I had a difficult birth and was born in Paris , TN - had i been in this hospital i may never have been born, I have seen friends, relatives and acquaintances butchered and killed due to their lack of compassion, empathy and anything resembling competency. The "doctors" are old, red nosed (burst capilaries from drinking) burn outs who do not speak to you personally and turn on one heel after entering the room as obligated. A fresh young trauma surgeon may save your life if you are bleeding to death from an auto accident i will give them that,. however that caliber of person won't stick around long once he sees how this place really works.
We locally call it "Hate-way" or "Gateway to the Other Side", "Gateway to Eternity". It wasn't ideal in the 80's or early 90's when it was Memorial hospital but as of now I wouldn't take a hamster to be treated here. Never have i been so mis-treated and that's to say nothing of my family and friends who have been unfortunate enough to be there. My mother was discharged with a leg broken in three places, no wheel chair, cane , walker or orderly to help me get her into the car. No medicine for her excruciating pain as obviously a fractured leg must mean drug seeking behavior .All of this info is documented and is currently with our attorney, which you may consider retaining one before you even walk in the doors here. I had a white cell count through the roof and was ignored , treated like a "drug seeker" for my excruciating stomach pain which could have been a rupturing appendix. After 3 days i went home and treated myself. I started with antibiotics that did not come from gateway, because they never tried any despite my insanely high white count. Then a diet of plain yogurt ,broth and water for two weeks. Went back when i had "healed thyself", got my records and the Ct they took when i first walked in the door? showed a severely distended gallbladder, This was never mentioned to me- during the entire 3 days but you can bet financial was in my room trying to talk to me while i was wailing in agony. Drug-seeker or Psych patient is how they treat ANYONE in pain regardless of whether their arm is partially attached or they have an exploding gallbladder. Probably so the staff can steal the drugs and sell them or do them themselves. Just read about the recent event where a beautiful 27 year old girl died in the waiting room surrounded by strangers who showed her 100x more compassion than the staff. If you do not have compassion and empathy or enough education to even know the meaning of those words - do us ALL a favor and go flip burgers or work at Ikea or home depot or quick-lube. Please do ANYTHING that does not relate to saving peoples LIVES or working with living beings. Thank you for nothing.

Rudest emergency room staff ever! I really hope in a time of trauma they never have someone treat them with such hate and insensitivity!!!! Don t take your family here. Drive to Nashville or Springfield.

I've never been a person who takes the time to neg...

I've never been a person who takes the time to negatively rate a business, but the "care" I received from the ER department was horrendous!
I injured my knee; unable to straighten my leg, walk, or move without unbearable pain. Needless to say, I went to the ER.
Courteous and friendly beside manner was almost nonexistent. The disorganized staff and lack of communication was frustrating. Also, I was in room 35 and it was really dirty; the walls were gross.
CT results confirmed there was a "body" in my knee and an MRI would be needed, which the ER was unequipped to do.
I was advised to make an appointment with a regular doctor (not a big deal), and in the meantime the doctor thought it would be a great idea to have a splint put on my leg, which forcefully straightened my leg; which I had explained multiple times earlier that my knee was locked and I was unable to straighten it. Then I was given cruches and pointed to the checkout window.
So..... still in excruciating pain, trying to carry my purse, a folder (the nurse gave me), trying to use crutches, I managed to maneuver to the check-out window.
From there I proceeded to hobble to the front entrance...which required me to go through a door that didn't open automatically, and despite my obvious challenges trying to open the door, the nurse at the front made ZERO attempt to help me.
To top things off, the doctor said he would prescribe me something for the pain, but the next day I discovered he didn't prescribe me anything and he made no notes of my pain in the chart.
After hours of calling the hospital, getting hung up on, put on hold, and receiveing misinformation, I was finally told there was nothing that could be done.
I'm at a loss for words. I can honestly say I hope I'm NEVER in a life or death situation and under the care of the Tenova ER Department.

I'm currently hospitalized at tennova. I came to the ER with chest pain. I have a history of PEs. I waited more than 2.5 hours to be taken back to a room. I was then rushed in to ct scan and then into having get a catheter put into my heart. Nobody fully explained the situation. I was alone and terrified. They didn't find anything so they told me I have inflammation. They've refused me any kind of pain medication for my severe chest pain. They've only given me what I'm currently prescribed on a daily basis. I've begged, threatened and tried to every angle to get them to help my pain. I've been here for 2; hours laying flat in a bed after a cath procedure to observe my heart with a diagnosed clotting disorder. They have not started me on blood thinners or put compression hose on my legs. I'm at my wits end here!!! They just told me 4 hours ago they've discovered the back of my heart is calcified but still haven't given me any pain management. Do I look like a drug addict or something?!?! I'm about to walk out of here and go straight to another hospital.

I haven't been here in awhile but I had to bring my dad here and the first thing I noticed was the updating they did to the waiting room it looks great! Next we were taken straight to the back for vitals and seen by the nurse practitioner. Maybe 5 minutes later we were taken back to our room and within 15 minutes they were resolving the problem! Everyone was very friendly and the place is clean!! Huge thanks to Tennova for taking care of my dad! They even Thanked him for his military service which meant so much to him and me! He had a horrible experience at the VA ER in Nashville so this hospital and staff at Tennova really set the bar high! Thanks again!

Twnnova gave me an experience with one of the rudest security guards i have ever dealt with, and it surprises me that he works at a hospital. He is definitely a better fit for dealing with drunks on Broadway. Regardless of my experience at the hospital, my experience with Levi (the security guard) will be propagated through all my circles until tennova does something about it.

First i would like to say that this place doesnt understand the concept of health and care cause if you come in there aick as a dog, chances are you arent going to be treated right away aside from someone that has a minor headache and your beside them bleeding eternally. Its ridiculous on how long i had to wait for my girlfriend thats pregnant and said she coughed up blood and we waited three hours and still she didnt get treated. Looking past that i went to the emergency room because of bad bed bug bites and they gave me a shot and some water thats it a shot and some water . It did help my bites for like 3 days . They didnt give me any perscription medicine or anything and I get a 1200$ hosptial bill. This is unnacceptable and will not be going back id rather die then have these neanderthals treat my sickness.

Tennova Health Care broke Telehealth rules when in crisis. Honestly I wish I could not give a star. I still have nightmares, I was abused, neglected and exploited, a patient advocate told me I don't have patient rights when I do. I reported this facility

If you need psychiatric help, there is better places besides MTHI, Tristar Skyline Madison Campus, or Trustpoint Hospital which is where you'll get sent to.

Also I had to go to a different hospital to get my bowel movements to be checked out.

My wife just had a c-section not last week here and we enjoyed that experience BUT I had to bring her back yesterday to check her liver and appendix. She was in pain and had to sit in the waiting room for almost 7 hours and STILL wasn t called to be seen. They took her labs in the waiting room and even though they were done hours ago they couldn t give her the results until she was called. She was never called and other people was called first even though she was there longer. She decided to just leave because she JUST had a c section and could no longer take the pain of sitting in the chair. She let them know she had one and they told her they understand her pain but nothing was done. She literally walked up to the car in tears because she was over looked and in so much pain. They have a great labor & delivery department but the ER is a nightmare!!!

I had a minor surgery at Tennova on 8/2/19 and had such a positive experience. The process from admission to discharge was the smoothest I have ever experienced. The staff was friendly, compassionate, efficient and very competent. I was so nervous about my procedure but it couldn't have gone any better...way exceeded my expectations! Thank you to your entire team!

They refused to feed or give my mother water when she kept asking them for it and wouldn't let me unless I put her on hospice. When I put her on hospice, she died that very night hungry and thirsty. Dying people don't ask for food and no one should be forced to put their loved one on hospice. Kept trying to get her transferred when I knew she wasn't getting better but they refused saying they could take care of her. When I went to the funeral home, her face had been bashed in on the right side and her nose broken. I need to go to the police as no one would answer my questions. They don't even deserve a one. They need to be investigated since they could not answer questions.

When my mom checked in Tori from the emergency room and Erin that worked the nightshift on May 13th were great. Very attentive and showed compassion towards patients, including my mother. However, some of the morning crew were not so great. Lydia, the RN, was the opposite. She showed some rudeness when I tried to get information on my mom's condition. Patient care seemed low on the priority list. When I threatened to report the non chalant behavior, things changed. Apparently Dr. Batson, or whomever the doctors name is was being contacted for hours and he didn't come check on her. I'm very unsatisfied with how they handle patient care here.

One of the worst hospital I ever visited. The staff is incompetent and nasty save a few.
I was taken by ambulance on 10/15/18 for CVS episode. The hospital Dr had no idea what this was. He also refused to give me the needed medicine and also refused to adequately rehydrate me. Acted like the bags of water was gold.
Adventually I passed out and slept a few hours and was woken up to be discharged. I explained that it's not normal to duschdisc without being able to at least hold down water. And that most hospitals admit me and do tests (cat scan or mri) as well as make sure I can eat.
They told me that I was good enough to go home and I had been there for 8 hours so I had to leave. So I called my ride and left unable to hold down water and with a script for 20 4mg zophran. And discharged papers that said follow up with primary within 1-2 days. I explained I am from out of state and may not be able to travel 1500 miles to see my primary. They weren't too concerned said come bact if it gets bad.
Less than 24 hrs later I return throwing up mucus and blood they sat me in the ER for 7 hours. I lost consensus at least 3 times and multiple patients notified staff and me when I regained.
I requested help at least 5 times from multiple people from the registration person to the nurse to the burce practioner.
I had to leave this hospital and seek medical care in Kentucky.
If you value you life I would avoid this place they will let you die in the waiting room
I can't wait for them to send me a triage bill because what I send them back is going to be a lawsuit

The Tennova Sango ER was amazing. The staff were friendly & caring. I was seen quickly, and my preferences were utilized throughout my care. Should my family or I have any emergent needs in the future, we will 100% return.

I don't usually review places, but I came to the er w/chest pain. They took my id, complaint, & I was in the back in under 2 mins being put on an ekg machine. W/in a couple hrs I was admitted which turned into several days. They covered ALL of their basis for my heart & secondary issues. All of the staff were courteous & prompt. I'm sure I won't like the bill lol, but the service I received was what it should have been. No complaints.

On June 19, my wife Diane had surgery at Tennova in Clarksville. I want to recognize this as the most positive experience we have had or that I have personally experienced in all my 62 years. I have visited many hospitals for various reasons over the years such as St Thomas West, Baptist (St Thomas Mid-town) Vanderbilt, the VA hospital in Nashville, Murray County Hospital, McFarland-Humana, Cookeville General, Nashville Memorial, Metro General, Meharry Medical, Clarksville Memorial, Fort Campbell on the post and many others. I have been a patient sometimes and sometimes a tech on a service call. I have visited family and friends and many hospice or palliative care patients with whom I have been acquainted. I know my way around hospitals. I know many doctors. The experience my wife and I have had at Tennova Clarksville was the most praiseworthy and remarkable experience I have had and including my wife, Diane, that WE have had. Dr. Donald Crawford was our surgeon this past month. We saw him no less than 5 times while we were in the hospital, before during and after the surgery. Dr. Timothy Duffin was also heartily involved and we spoke with him also before during and after the procedure. It was such a good experience that I believe the healing was already started before we went through the surgery. The attentiveness that both of our doctors demonstrated was above and beyond what we expected. I could see the sincerity in their faces and their eyes at each visit. That is a comfort! The nurses assigned to 'keep' Diane during the three days we stayed were highly professional yet amazing to talk with and they took so very good care to ensure Diane was monitored and attended while we were on the third floor. Rhonda especially but even the Chief Nurse came by to talk to us and asked about the care we were receiving. It was a QUALITY festival of care and concern. I felt as though we were treated like a member of someone's family but I had no previous ties to anyone of that sort. Being in the hospital is foreboding on a good day but our visit and our stay was peaceful, happy, and if I had to describe it in just one word, it was as if we were being "loved" by the doctors and the staff. I have seen many not-so-nice things in my life that I cannot un-see, but this was exceptional service and care and hope and attention that deserves kudos. I am aware of and I have personally heard negative comments that some individuals have made toward Tennova. But if Tennova was a melody, I heard not one sour note While WE were engaged. I hope this feedback makes it to your desk. The doctors and staff that we met (including Dottie in the surgical waiting room) were heads and shoulders above what I have seen or experienced before. I wanted to say so!

First time ever visiting this hospital and the staff was very friendly to me and my daughter. Also big thumbs up to Ms. C.Hodges the NP. She was very kind, helpful and informative to me and my daughter. Keep up the good work. I'm from Georgia and I got better treatment from the staff compared to my hometown hospital

Spent over five hours waiting in the emergency room after a severe allergic reaction, ended up walking out because I still hadn't been treated and at least I have anti-histamines at home that I can take. Would not recommend even if you are dying. Only gave them one star because I'm still alive, but if it were possible to give zero, I would have.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER! How is Clarksville so big, but has one of the worst hospitals in world! It literally took 3 whole hours to get medicine! The nurses don't care about you one bit. They are literally there just for the check! You could be shot and they will act like you have a minor fever. GO DIRECTLY TO NASHVILLE, its not worth risking your life in hospital!

This place is a joke. We have been taken back and sent back to the waiting room 5 times now. And the smart ass Nurse practitioner wants to tell me its not her fault everyone is sick. Ok true but this a Hospital! Give me a break. She also tried to send him home without treatment because she was looking at the wrong patients chart. After being in the waiting room for 3 hrs we finally got a room and have been back here for over a hour now and still no one has even come in. This is truly a disgrace of a so called hospital.

Customer service is very dare to my heart in how I treat people. I would say that your staff at the front window check in is very rude. There's no greeting or how may I help you. It wasn't about race, but everyone that came in. I witnessed it for all those that even came in after we did.

If you can, absolutely drive somewhere else to receive care. We waited over five hours to have my son seen. When we went back for triage, the doctor walked into the room, and without warning or regard to my son who screamed in pain, started man-handling and manipulating my sons injured arm. He never spoke to us or showed sympathy for my son who was in tears from his exam , he just said xrays to the nurse and walked out. This is just the tip of the ice berg for our experience. The lack of bedside manner is abysmal. Save yourself time and trouble and drive the extra mile for better care.

My father was transferred to the rehab floor (4th) at Tennova from St. Thomas. His nurses Diane, Esther, and some others were incredibly helpful. He would tell me that they were his angels. He had to make the choice to go into hospice and be at home and they kept him happy, comfortable, and full of orange sherbet until we made it home. He passed away a few days later. I'm not sure I can ever repay them for their kindness and the respect that they treated my father with while he was there. I'm hoping they see this review and know that they are doing God's work with the way they treated him. Thank you.

Literally the most unprofessional hospital I ve been to. Waited 4 hours just to be taken to a room then 2 hours for tests/exams while they stand out in y all gossiping & talking about dinner dates. SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING TO IMPROVE THIS SERVICE!

Gateway was not my first choice in hospital to have my second child but I am extremely happy that I had him here, I have had excellent care since I got here. I arrived at Gateway hospital on Wednesday June 22 at 11 pm to the emergency room at 38 weeks pregnant. When I got here I was promptly sent to labor and delivery where we were told I was 4 cm dilated. I am very pleased with Pam who was my first nurse, she helped get me set up for labor by helping get my Epidural in, and getting the IV put in. She listened to my requests and helped me through all my concerns. She was with me until her shift ended at 7 am, my following nurse was Britney and she was the one who helped me deliver. I feel like she helped more than the Doctor did considering that I had to wait 10 plus minutes for the doctor to arrive so that I could finally start pushing. Britney helped deliver my 8 lbs 7 oz 20 inch baby boy who was born June 23 at 9:10. I am so happy with all my nurses and doctors they have been amazing, caring for my baby boy, helping me get everything I need when I need it, answering and caring for my family and quests. So far I have been having an amazing experiance, I strongly recommend Gateway Hospital to expecting mothers. The staff is friendly and caring. They truthfully care about your comfort and health and it really has been a great experiance.

On the day of my husband's recent outpatient procedure, EVERY person we encountered on behalf of Tennova was efficient, positive, professional and kind. From doctors and nurses to techs, volunteers and check-in, they made a difficult day more tolerable. We are grateful for each one. My husband received a card in the mail two business-days after, with handwritten well-wishes from Dr. Ennis and three nurses. It means a lot to him.

It's not enough that families deal with the loss of a loved one but have to deal with the attitude of some of the nurses and the receptionist at the ER entrance... If you don't like your job I suggest you find a new less stressful one

Went to the ER on Friday 9/15 with abdominal and pelvic pain and after them taking my blood and doing an ultrasound.. I was sent home with them telling me I had a stomach virus.. went to my OB 4 days later and I have a huge cyst on my ovary that you couldn't miss.. This place is a joke I will never go back. I would rather drive to Nashville than go back..
