Red flag!

Went for an interview for a Prison Officer position at Barwon Prison. Unsuccessfully mind you which is OK.
It should be mentioned the interview techniques used and said outcomes are by no means accurate in terms of an individuals capabilities in the work place. Don't ever be disheartened or broken by the outcome of a job interview, especially recruitment agency conducted interview. You might not be adequate or capable to someone who sits behind a desk and has met and judged you after five minutes but someone else will be willing to provide you with a chance and learn your capabilities and benefit exponentially.

Know your worth.

I had a good experience with Hudson applied to a generic post filling roles got a call back same day did a registration interview then got an interview for a position I wanted and accepted a contract whole process was 5 days start to finish. Agencies are great when you have the desired skill set and lots of relevant experience as it s easy to place you and they have the right contacts to get you the foot in the door.

An agency that helps people out and gives people a chance to get a good job. Top recruitment agency!

I have been dealing with these guys for a while and they have been quite supportive and professional.

I registered, interviewed and then never heard back from them. Not even a phone call to say the role was no longer available or whatever the reason was for not going ahead with the role. Feedback is crucial when looking for work-no communication from them.

I have nothing but praise for Hudson Recruitment in Melbourne. I was in between contracts and was up and working within a few days again. My dealings with Ella Toumazou have been excellent. She was attentive to my needs, extremely professional, very prompt in answering any queries and matched me perfectly to the position I was looking for. I would also highly recommend Ariana Harris and Alison Kelly who were also very professional and very quick to match me with potential roles. All three have been a pleasure to deal with and I would not hesitate to recommend any of my colleagues to Hudson. Well done :)

I would actually want to give them 10/5 for their superb service! I applied online, and Lisa Lawlor contacted me the next morning to arrange for an interview. I went to the office (which is cozy), and people are all pleasant. Special mention to Lisa! She is very nice! She was very professional, helpful, facilitative and approachable! Keep up the excellent work Hudson. :)

Very very disappointed in Hudson. My partner went and had a great interview with Laura (the recruitment consultant) and was told to, "Sit tight, we'll be in touch". Laura had spent a full hour with her going through her CV and telling her about roles that she thought she would be perfect for and that, "We can definitely find you something great because you're an amazing candidate with a wealth of knowledge and experience". 3 weeks went by and there were no phone calls or emails at all even just to check in. She emailed Laura on her direct email address (there had been previous correspondence through this email address) and no reply at all. She called and left a message with reception, with no reply. Luckily now my partner has a fantastic job as an Operations & General Manager in a great company - no thanks to Hudson. Go to Morgan Consulting, they are absolutely amazing as a recruitment agency!

After being retrenched in 2017 I spent most of 2018 looking for my next role. I was contacted 2 or 3 weeks ago by Ella who had taken over from a consultant I had previously seen and we had a friendly, encouraging and positive meeting. She encouraged me to tweak my resume and promised to keep an eye out for suitable roles. A week later Ella contacted me about a 12 month contract that suited my CV, her client offered me an interview on Tuesday just past and by Wednesday lunchtime I had been offered, and accepted, the position. Through the entire process Ella kept me informed as to what was going on, she was professional and encouraging, and was enthusiastic about my chances. I cannot thank her enough and would highly recommend her to potential candidates and clients. Thanks Ella for everything.

The worst recruitment experience in my 17 years of IT ever! They outright lied to me and misled me. I will never use them ever again.

The most shockingly unprofessional, impatient and rude people I had ever encountered not just in employment market, but in our society as well. I had never talked with any people like them in this country before. Cannot believe their existence as a recruit agent. What kind of company would hire through them, and what kind of people they eventually hired? Keeps promising about opportunities, "locked in" scheduled interviews, following ups, which never happen ever once. Yell on the phone and blame all other peoples' fault except theirs. Never mind, they are on my black list. Good luck to those who are being "served" by Hudson.

I had a really bad experience with them. I applied for a job then got an interview with them. At the time of the interview I got told that the person I am supposed to meet with was called in a meeting and that she will call me back to reschedule. Never heard from her again, I tried to call and no reply. Two days later I get an email saying that the job I applied for was given to someone else prior to my application being open.

I've dealt with bad recruitment agency but this one is the worse.

Unprofessional and that's being nice. Plenty of other recruitment companies out there, choose a better one then these guys.

I would like to recommend Charlotte Prestini from Hudson. Charlotte is an extraordinary professional with great people skills. She gave me excellent support from the beginning to the end of my assignment. Highly recommended!

I received a call for an interview from Sabrina Benchaib. Although the position applied for was no longer available, she interviewed me for similar positions. Despite all the disastrous reviews on recruitment agencies and lying recruiters, I found her to be the exact opposite. A very friendly and caring person, Sabrina took the time to get to know me and my skills. She gave me valuable advice on my applications. I found her to be a professional who loves her job and is ACTUALLY trying to help people, a quality so rare these days. I was happy to give Hudson a chance and above all, meeting Sabrina. She is an extremely valuable asset to Hudson.

It's like a big meat grinder for people. You are treated like a number and given the respect of none. Terrible service.

Not great to deal with, keep randomly getting calls from them about jobs I don't want. Have been telling each person to take me off the list and to never call me again, person on the phone says they do that then a month later I get another call about another job.

In past dealings I found Hudson to be professional and ethical. My recent experience and a good friends have cemented Hudson as one of the worst recruitment companies in Australia. I won't be using them in any form in the future.

I appreciate that they were professional and straight forward in their work with me, however my representative said that while i was not suitable for the position i had applied for i may be suitable for a similar position and would follow up. She never did
