The following is a letter of commendation for Ashley Devereaux, a FANTASTIC employee of Temporary Accommodations--I thought it was worth sharing as part of our review. :)
Dear Stephanie:
My husband, Chris, and I would like to try to convey to you the blessing that Ashley has been to us for nearly a year that we've been homeless. Since we have been "stuck" in the appraisal process with our insurance company for 11 months now, we've been enduring extraordinary stress and anxiety as a family. But one thing we've been able to rely up with constancy has been Ashley's abiding professionalism, compassion, and kindness; Ashley has never forgotten that we are human and have needs that go beyond finding mere living quarters. Rather, Ashley has advocated to our insurance company on our behalf to ensure that we have housing that makes us comfortable and keeps all our family together as whole--including our four-legged family member, Hank.
Right when we've thought a decision would be forthcoming from insurance, and our spirits rose, we shared with Ashley our good news and hopes, and she rejoiced with us. And then when our spirits were later crushed due to insurance's further indecision, Ashley was right back to checking on us to puff some joyful, supportive wind right back in our sails.
Ashley has gone above and beyond her call of duty, Stephanie, and we wanted to share with you that she has made Temporary Accommodations proud...she has lived the philosophy of caring for TA's customers, and she has taken exemplary care of us while we've been in her charge. I shared with Ashley last month that of all the frenzy and chaos that has come out of our homeless situation over the past several months, Ashley has been the ONE ray of sunlight in this long, gray storm. I have shed tears with Ashley, and she has loaned me a compassionate ear. She has not once forgotten that it is a genuine SERVICE she is providing to her clients. In short, Ashley has become a dear friend to us--even if we have never officially met in person.
I am in English teacher by profession, and for me, there is nothing more precious than the gift of words. I offer these words as my own gift to Ashley--to remind her of the love and light that she has brought to my family as we've been struggling with our homelessness...and to remind her of how grateful we have been for her friendship and service. And I share these words with you, Stephanie, so that you can know the amazing impact of what your company's employees do for human beings on a daily basis. Keep up the incandescent work that you do!
May God continue to bless you both with an amazing 2020.
