I couldn't be happier with the experience of buying my new truck from Sun Toyota. I was in the market for a Tundra TRD PRO and looked all across the state of Florida for a dealership to be able to get this truck with its limited production. Not only did Sun Toyota get the exact truck I have been waiting for, but they did so in a timely fashion and updated me every time they received any info regarding the build/delivery! They gave me a great trade in value for my older Tundra and made the purchase of my new truck effortless.
Chuck, Lee & Alicia (accessories) were such genuine people to deal with that I will become a life long customer... That is saying a lot considering its a 2.5 hr drive to the dealership from where I live.

Purchased a 2020 RAV4 with my husband from Austin Porter, and the experience was nothing less than perfect! If everyone sold cars the way he does we d all be in new car, without buyer s remorse. Eddie Chavez helped me when purchasing my 2018 Corolla iM and he was very professional, never pushy and he went over and above to ensure I loved my new car! I've had a couple car buying experiences and I can't say they were enjoyable but this one definitely was! I was also impressed with the fact that the dealership has a cafe to get a quick bite, free coffee and big screen TVs that help pass time if you have to wait. I highly recommend Sun Toyota next time you are in need of a new or used car!
I just wanted to reach out and give thanks where thanks is due. I have known Mr. Butler for about 14 years or so. I worked side by side with him for a few years until I moved on from Sun Toyota. My Mother had never purchased a vehicle in her life. When her husband was alive, he would just get her a vehicle and she was always content on what she had. I had spoke with Mr. Butler and let him know that my Mother was coming in to look at a vehicle. This was a huge deal for her, not only was it the first car she had purchased for herself, but a New Car at that. Bob set my mother up with Carlos, and I believe after three visits my Mother purchased a new 2017 Camry SE.
I saw her new vehicle last Saturday and I could see that she was very proud. She had raised all 5 of her children and always went without. It is her "time" now to take care of herself, now that all her kids are on their own with family's of their own. Seeing my Mother "beaming" with pride was beautiful and I have Bob, Carlos and Sasan to thank for helping her with the purchase of her new vehicle.

Came in for a service on 05/28/2019 and Mike was excellent! The got my truck in quick and had an estimate ready for me when I returned to the counter. While waiting for the estimate, I worked with Patrick Chaban to find an excellent deal on a new work truck! Patrick was prompt and courteous and able to meet my terms and conditions; I cannot wait to get behind the wheel of my new Tundra! This auto dealership was quite a refreshing change from what I have typically experienced. From the receptionists to the financial office I was extremely impressed. Particularly impressive was my salesman, Leroy Bostick who was knowledgeable, fast, friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate me. I recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle at Sun Toyota. I drove quite a distance to come to this dealership after having heard of the no dealer fees and because of a recommendation from a co-worker who purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Sun Toyota a year ago. It was well worth the trip! I worked with Jim McDonald and he was courteous and professional, and most of all he was honest with me. He worked with me to meet the budget I had in mind, and he gave me a fair value on my trade-in. There was no pressure to purchase add-ons or items I did not need, which I really appreciated. The financing experience was excellent. It was very easy and fast, and they were able to get me a great rate. This experience was so much better than the one I had at a dealership in my area the week before which I walked away from. I will definitely return to Jim McDonald and to Sun Toyota when I am ready for my next vehicle purchase, and I have already recommended them to a co-worker. Their new "green" building is quite impressive and you can't beat the no dealer fees!
Jason Bulluck was very helpful in getting us into our new Camry Hybrid. It is actually our first Toyota. We were first interested in the Prius because of the great gas mileage but sad to find out no incentives on that model. Jason was very patient with us and we asked about the other hybrids he had and we liked the Camry, and was able to get the deal done so we could drive home in our new car. I bought my Toyota 4Runner almost two years ago, and every time I bring it in for service, I walk away somewhat unsure about what the service advisor was either recommending to me, or just didn t understand all the details which makes me questionable about bringing my truck in the next time. Well, this past time I dealt with Kira who went above and beyond to explain every little thing for me, made sure I felt comfortable, and just an all around amazing girl killing it at her job! She s thorough, friendly, and doing it all with a smile on her face and that goes such a long way in my book. Nobody wants to hand their car keys over or deal with miserable old men, so next time you need your car serviced, ask for Kira!
A little over a year ago I bought a 2013 Malibu LT with Eddie Chavez. I loved that car! Friday night my car had a mechanical failure and I was heartbroken. I recently brought my vehicle in for a oil change and tire rotation. I had made a appointment for this service and arrived on time. It took 2 hours for this simple service. During the long wait the service writer called me over and went over a list of recommended services which I declined and waited for my vehicle to be finished. The next day someone from Sun Toyota called and talked to my wife and told her that I should bring my vehicle back for these recommended service that I had decined. None of these service recommendations were on any importance of safety concerns they came to a total of $952.00. To question my decision on what service i want is very insulting. It seems to me that there motives are very questionable. I bought my car new 3 years ago at Sun Toyota mainly because they advertise that they don't charge a dealer fee. Since then they have changed ownership and the whole atmosphere there has changed and now charge a dealer fee. So going forward, when I need a new car or service i will look to other dealerships and will never return to Sun Toyota.

I usually don't write comments but I had to share my experience! I walked in with an impossible situation (negative equity in my trade/ low credit score) and they made it possible! I left in a brand new vehicle! Brian Whelan, Internet Sales Manager, heard my concerns and helped me select a vehicle with the options I wanted at a payment I could afford. Everything was straight forward (sales / finance), my interest rate was decent, and there was no "bait and switch". I had a great Experience and an education of how car buying works From Kevin Johnson! I really needed a truck and didn't think I was able to make it happen. Bought a used RAV4 from Domingo...he was great, but the wait trying to get into finance was horrible! We got there at 9:00 am, looked at the car for about five minutes, took a 10-minute test drive, filled out paperwork for about another 10-minutes and waited for over two hours to get into finance!! We came a long way to visit this dealership, already knew the car we wanted, got there early to avoid delay and still didn't get out of there until 12:45pm...rediculous. On top of that I get an email when I get home offering me a $50 Visa card to take a test drive! We were never offered that perk and I'm very upset about the neglect.

I make my appointments when Lance Johson, service representative, is on duty. He makes sure that everything is done correctly the first time! My hat is also off to John, the manager of the service department too. He also had to intervene once to make sure things were done right according to the warenty.
This was our second time buying a car from Sun Toyota and it was really because of Amber that we bought both our cars there. Our first experience with Sun Toyota was not great(Theyve since changed ownership) so we went in very skeptical. It was a very rainy day so looking at cars was a challenge but Amber was a trooper; she was out there in the rain with us for hours. She was very straight forward and we genuinley felt that she had our best interest at heart. We ended up getting 2 cars that next day and are very happy with our purchases. Next time we buy a car we will definitely go to sun Toyota and of course ask for Amber
This is our second vehicle purchase from this dealership. We have found the sales and service staff to be competent and courteous. The facility is clean and comfortable which is good since the car buying process typically takes some time. They even have a little Cafe. The service, protection and warranty packages they offer are substantial. They are in business to make money, but they are fair and work hard to get you the vehicle you want and the best deal possible. A special thanks to Carlos who is fantastic.

Took my 2000 Celica to their service department for a noise when shifting. Estimate came back $2300 for replacing clutch, $1600 for fixing old one, which was supposedly warped. Paid $100 for the estimate and took the car to a mechanic close home. In 5 minutes, the problem was diagnosed to a loose engine mount bolt and fixed in around 20 minutes for $60. Service adviser was great, but their mechanics leave much to be desired. Ridiculous!
We made our second purchase a few months ago. Love this place. First purchase due to some credit mistakes we weren't sure we could even get aproved for a loan. Bo Rasui really worked it. He got us into a fully loaded Tacoma TRD 4x4. Th interest rate was a struggle but with steady payments we upgraded to a 2013 Tacoma sport with an interest rate 12 points lower!!!!!. Both trucks are beautiful and like new.
My wife works for a dealership for a different manufacturer and she is constantly being asked how much for the Tacoma, LOL.

Simply put, "awesome." I became very interested in a used Tacoma I saw on the dealer's website and wanted to further check it out in person. My wife and I drove from Lakeland to New Port Richey to at the very least, test drive the Tacoma and possibly a few others. When we arrived, Bryan Whelan approached and greeted us, rather than immediately try to sell us a vehicle. I told Bryan about the truck and he went and grabbed the keys to open up the vehicle and take it for a test drive. I was pretty much sold on the vehicle, but wanted to test drive a new Tacoma with different options just to compare, as another dealer had a great deal on a 2015 model (I even had a test drive scheduled with another dealer later that same day). Bryan then took us to the new Tacoma and we went for a test drive. The used Tacoma was already priced well, but after listening to my offer Bryan agreed to negotiate with us and even managed to save us an extra few hundred bucks in the process. During the entire process, Bryan was nothing short of professional. He is a cool and confident salesperson. In addition to great customer service, Bryan really knows his stuff regarding trucks and SUVs. Going in, my wife and I knew about what type of rate we would qualify for, and Sandy Spieler in the finance department secured us with a low rate. Honestly, I wasn't expecting such a no-nonsense, hassle-free experience. I've already given Bryan's business card to a guy I know who is looking to upgrade from his 2001 Tacoma and have told everyone else how great Sun Toyota is. My wife and I sincerely believe Sun Toyota was well worth the 70-mile drive from our home. I LOVE my "new" Tacoma, now if I could only get that jingle from the commercial out of my head!

My welcoming Porter was very pleasant and I could tell she was a hard worker. John Lafemina, my service advisories, was exceptional. The wait for my oil change wasn't too bad for a Saturday. They were nice enough to wash my car after servicing. Unfortunately it wasn't dried, so it spotted, making it look worse than before the wash. My key fob was also returned in damaged condition, as if it had been run over. I informed John of this to merely point out that the staff needs to take better care of people's investments. He was very understanding and said the dealership would cover half for a new key.

I purchased my 2012 Prius from Sun Toyota and it was a wonderful experience. It was my first time buying a car from a dealership and my salesperson, Matthew Whittaker, was excellent. He was very nice and knowledgeable about the cars I was looking at. I told him what I was looking for, mileage and MPG, and he only showed me cars that would work for me. He was very helpful. John really took care of me. Came in for a battery replacement, left 110% satisfied. Everything is under warranty for me right now since i just bought it, so he asked me if my 2015 Tacoma was experiencing any other difficulties. That reminded me i was uneasy about the transmission as I'd never owned a prerunner before and wasn't used to the extra power it had over my previous 4 cyl Tacoma and different upshift/downshift. The shifting issue i was experiencing was either due to a really loud and clanky transmission, or a sportier shift. Seriously this truck shifts like it's Vin Diesel. I wasn't sure if it was an issue or a blessing. Either way, they gave the transmission a thorough investigation, and took a few steps to ensure the transmission is running in tip top shape. It is. As it should be for a Tacoma with only 30k miles on it. That's piece of mind, since I DO NOT mess with vehicles that have faulty or rebuilt transmissions. And neither should you ;)
Cher Paxton is an amazing salesperson. We were looking to get a car for our 16 yo daughter. Cher communicated with our daughter to find out her preferences as well as ours. She was super friendly and very kind. Most importantly she was very honest. We came to look at a car that had not yet been inspected, it was a recent trade-in. I recently (the day before Thanksgiving) purchased my 2012 Camry from Sun Toyota with the help of Willy Patti and the Sun Toyota team. Willy took the time to show me every available car in my price range and patiently explained all of the features of each car. He answered all of my questions with the ease of someone who knows his product well. We had my 17 year old son Craig with us, and Willy did everything he could to make sure Craig was involved and that his questions were answered. Willy could teach a thing or two to his competitors about truly excellent customer service! Once we found the car I liked, Willy took us on a test drive and explained the many safety features of the vehicle (airbags, blindside motorist alert, backup camera, etc.), as well as how to work the many other features on the car. He spoke about the car with pride - not just as a salesman who wanted to close the deal. That impressed me. When we were ready to speak to the finance department, Willy made sure we were comfortable and checked on us frequently in between preparing the car for me. We worked with Chase Murray and another gentleman names John to get the car financed. Chase and the team did everything in their power to get us the best deal possible. Everyone was professional, yet friendly and conversational. At no time did I feel like I was being forced into the purchase - I was very comfortable with the whole experience. My son commented on how everyone worked together and got along like a family, and that is one of the many reasons I can guarantee that I will continue to be a Sun Toyota customer. When we were ready to go, Willy brought us out to the car and helped me to sync my phone to the bluetooth in the car so I wouldn't have to attempt that on my own. He set it up so that if I receive a text, an automatic reply goes out letting the person know that I am driving. That was extremely thoughtful - at that point, he had already earned his commission, but he continued to provide excellent customer service. I am truly grateful to Willy and Chase and everyone at Sun Toyota for making this car purchase a truly pleasurable experience. You hear so many horror stories about buying a car - I have a few of those from other dealerships as well, but I believe it is safe to say that Sun Toyota doesn't have any horror stories. Very nice facilities. Complimentary coffee, water and WiFi. Not too busy on an early Sunday morning. Service Advisor Kira Ritchie was very helpful and explained very well the service and the coming services issues as well as the cost associated to it. Although is kind of expensive, I'm happy with the service rendered.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dan, Service Pro, and he explained all that my 35,000 mile maintenance would cover. He reviewed my car maintenance history with me and, after agreeing to the work, escorted me to the waiting area. Sun Toyota always run vehicles thru the car wash after service. I asked if there was a possibility that just the floor of the driver's side could be vacuumed since I couldn't because of the heat and humidity. Got my car back with the work completed as discussed and a spotless car. Dan is a gentleman and an asset to Sun Toyota.
The dealership is very big with lots of amenities for customers, but buying there was not a pleasant experience for me, with high pressure, constant calls and texts, scheduling appointments without consent, and exorbitant initial offer on the car. I will not shop there again. That said, I will say good things (five stars) for the Niko Grivas, a sales consultant who gave me a walkaround on the car. Though relatively new, he was very thorough in explaining the car's features.
I went into the dealership with two high mileage vehicles and didn t feel positive about being able to find a deal that would be good for me and acceptable with the dealership. Then I met Carlos, his positive demeanor and knowledge helped put my fears at ease. We worked together to find the vehicles and deal that worked. I left with two vehicles; one new and one Toyota Certified used.

My time with this dealership was absolutely terrible. They don't even let you try and work a deal out. I got kicked out and I didn't do anything. I put my dad on speaker so he could talk to them. The reason I did that is because my dad is very familiar with dealers and this would be my first time buying from a dealer. Well I found it weird that they were charging me a 995$ "dealer fee" like wow that's an extra grand tacked on. The car was priced at 13888 the toatal came out to 16458. If any one on here who is not a dealer would do that deal just tell me and I'll remove the comment. A grand in dealer fees is a scam not even on a new vehicle a used vehicle at that.
BE AWARE OF LESLIE! I got ripped off here so bad by a car salesman named Leslie. I'm 40K in debt for a car that's worth 18K. By the end of my 6 years finance I'll be paying 60K!!! Don't shop here!!

I ll be honest, by visit didn t start off 100%. I showed up 20 minutes early for my 1:30 service appointment. I was greeted instantly by an employee and asked how they could help me today. I told them I had a 1:30 appointment with Tony. The young man told me Tony wasn t there. This is the second time I have asked for Tony as my service advisor, and he either came in and left, or didn t come in at all. Not a huge deal, just a little annoying. A few minutes later I was greeted by Dan, the assistant service manager. He apologized and thanked me for my wait, to which I replied I was early so I didn t mind waiting until my appointment time. From then on, he was very kind and helpful. He checked for any recalls on my car, just in case, offered a complimentary wash, and made recommendations. I told him about a noise my car made that I was a little concerned about and he made sure to make a note of it and have it checked out. The appointment took a little longer than he said, but the whole place was very busy, so I didn t mind waiting. I ll definitely be back. Thanks!
I visited the service department at Sun Toyota for scheduled maintenance. Tony Roche was my contact. He made sure that everything was done properly, including identifying and fixing what turned out to be part of the passenger seat track. At no cost. That kind of service isn't as common as it once was. I sure never got it from Ford. Sun Toyota is an excellent dealership, and their service department is top notch.
