Great place, book 6 months ahead for date and time slot, collect tickets at point 6 then line up for but get an early time as the line gets massive. The crown is great if u love tight steps but the views are worth it.

Really cool to see lady liberty up close! Crown tickets are sold out REALLY fast so get them a year early. Overall, you CANNOT go to NYC without going to Ellis Island and seeing the statue of liberty.
The worst thing about a visit to the island is the wait in line in Battery Park. When it's hot outside, the queue is brutal, as there is no cover from the sun or the heat. Bring lots of water as you wait in line. On one particular visit, I seriously contemplating giving up my $38 pair of tickets and scraping the adventure. The wait was too long, the weather too hot, and the crowd too aggressive and irritable. Fortunately we were able to tough it out and we made it. Finally, it is important to note that if you wish to get up to the crown, you need to make reservations months in advance. They only allow a limited amount of visitors in the crown per day so you must plan ahead.
The most important US symbol! You can admire the Liberty Statue taking a cruise from Battery Park (Castle Clinton office tickets) and reaching Liberty Island in just 15 minutes. On the Island you can enjoy and relax thanks to many restaurants, fast foods and souvenirs shop. From Libery Island there is also a stunning view of NYC skyline. Super suggested if you go to NYC.
New York is a very powerful place and it's a continuation of excitement. I think it is an exciting place where people from all over the world come together.
Such an amazing view and effort. The audio tour was really good to listen to and understand the process and sheer effort. She is a grand old lady and worth every accolade and imagery that represents the US and NYC. We went on a cold and windy day, so the skyline wasn't clear, but she shone like a beacon. We had a challenge to avoid the hundreds of school kids on their trip and to not get caught behind them, there should be separate lanes for large groups and normal tourists.
An amazing island to be on. The views are just spellbound and beautiful. If you plan to do a pedestal or crown (i.e. enter inside Liberty Monument) book tickets before hand. Rest on ground tours and ferrys are many and can be booked while you are there. A good tour of the two island and ferry should take you 3-4 hours.
Most wonderful experience I ever had. The ferry was a bit crowded but totally understandable considering the popular attraction. There will also be another ferry visiting another island before returning to manhattan. You can stop by there if u wanted to explore more.
At the statue of liberty, you ll find restaurants, gift shops, and many more. Keep in mind that during the winter, the place is VERY windy. Do wear thick clothes and be prepared to get your hair all ruined.
If you come to NYC for the first time and don't visit Lady Liberty, what are you doing?!?!?! You get gorgeous pics of the skyline and you get to see how massive this monument really is. Do it. Pay the money. Wait in line. It's completely worth it.
Loved it. My 7 year old son is obsessed and loved the ferry ride out there and then was telling us a bunch of facts. There is a great museum that shows the building and there is the original fire that was damaged and re done, as well as a nose (I think).it's amazing to see how big she actually is, even when standing beneath her she doesn't seem that large. Great tour and activity to experience some early history.
Nice family oriented place. The new museum has everything lady liberty is disabled beautifully with information on each part. Can wait to go back, still have more to see. There are two boats, the new Jersey, and lady liberty one from New York and one from New Jersey. So be careful not to catch the wrong boat. A couple did and they were furious, wasn't the Crew fault because I heard the shouting new Jersey.
A must see from the free ferry to Stanton Island. Close enough to take great pictures without the expense of going to the island. We took a cheap boat trip out on the Hudson River and got even closer. A must see. Recommend
Great for kids AND adults. The climb up the statue step was not nearly as bad as I had imagined. Currently there are 2 museums and it appears they are transitioning to a newer one which contains the artifacts. The bathrooms were clean as a bonus! *tip* you are not permitted to bring bags but there are lockers. You are permitted to bring medication with you into the statue, cell phones, and cameras.
If you visit New York city or Jersey City, you have to go to Statue of Liberty. Had great experience , amazing view and good time. And don t forget to take pictures if you go there.
Extremely crowded, with many people stopping to take pictures. I didn't go into the statue, not up to the crown as I had planned, and mainly stayed on the island itself. There's a gift shop as well, where you can buy all sorts of different souvenirs. I used the coin making machine where you pay $3 to get a printed coin of the statue of liberty made out of copper and the same thickness as the statue. Not exactly worth my $3 as I am not sure if it counts as actual money, but a very nice gift.
Great audio tour telling all the story of the island and the statue! Highly recommended!! It was 18.5$ including Ellis Island! The whole sightseeing will consume most of the day
The crown tickets are sold out months before. Book your tickets well in advance for pedestal/crown access. The ferry to the island starts from both New York and New Jersey. If the pedestal access tickets are sold out New York, try checking it from New Jersey. The prices are same for the island and pedestal access.
One can start from New Jersey and end at New York. Its a must see if you are tourist. The whole history of liberty statue is explained well in the audio device you get at the entrance (price included in the ticket). Beware of the agents and book your tickets from official website.
You can easily spend a full day here and it s highly recommended to come in the Spring or Fall, when it s not too hot nor too cold and it s sunny.
BRING A selfie stick, or confidence to ask random strangers for the great picture . Not too many electronics as you ll have to go through airport-type security. Cash if you want to buy water or a snack on the ferry.
BUYING SOUVENIRS Avoid buying the the small shop when you enter the restaurant, since it doesn t have all of what you may want and there is a LARGE STORE BEHIND THE RESTAURANT where you ll have more options for your money.
Seating outside is highly recommended, where August Bartholdi (The French artist who created the statue) will explain to you in perfect English how this magnificent piece of art came to be.
ELLIS ISLAND Buy the ticket with the trip to Ellis Island because if you re already here, spending the time to go to Ellis Island is the wisest thing to do. You ll invest about 1 or 2 more hours but it s all worth it. It s the whole picture of how immigration worked back in the days.
This is a symbol! On a weekdays there is no big queue, however to go up to the crown is possible only, if you buy a ticket few weeks/months advantage. There was a lot of people, but it is well organized.
Beautiful. Crowded, especially in the Pedestal, but good spot for pictures. On the ledge, and on the bottom. There is an elevator saving you from having to take the first portion of stairs, but if you want to go to the crown, good luck.
Very nice and at a affordable price to visit. It s really crowded and it takes a while to be there but that s all part of the experience and it s really good. There s also a great lemonade there
The statue of Liberty is the one of the most amazing statues of the world, i happen to visit it finally and im thrilled and happy. Good park, food and drinks available and friendly park staff. Will visit again.
A must see if you haven t been! If you buy the passes to go up in the statue make sure you take the elevators, It s a lot of stairs to climb if not. Beautiful views from up there, worth the money!
If your in New York this is worth a visit !I ve seen it 3 times so this time I wanted a different experience so I booked tickets to go up it !!! If you don t look small spaces this is NOT FOR YOU I m a size 10 and felt that the space was very tight ! Once you go up there s no going down ! We got to the crown and it was tiny I wouldn t recommend this experience ! I think going past it on the ferry and marvelling at the sheer size of her is the best way ! Especially when it s fogging and the sky clears it s a great time to see her !
All the way on the West Coast of the United States, the city of Los Angeles is not only exciting, but also full of history. If you re of fan of the movies and music, head down to Hollywood Boulevard where you can stroll down the Walk of Fame, featuring the famous names of musicians, actors and actresses on the street below you.
The symbol of USA. One place everyone should visit if going NY. One thing that threw me was to climb to the crown of the statue, you will need to book in advance (was told by one of the security guys there that its 3 months but cannot confirm) so something to keep in mind if this is something you want. I'm sure the view would be amazing
Another place from category must see . Ticket prices are ok. Good to go there with early ferry. You will save time and have good conditions to walk around. For visit I recomend September.
Universal symbol of freedom, the Statue of Liberty is America's most familiar icon and the largest statue in the world. Standing 152 ft in New York Harbor, visitors can admire the statue from various points around the city, particularly Battery Park, or take a ferry right to the statue. For people who plan to go out to the statue, options include grounds tickets, pedestal tickets, or crown tickets, which allow different levels of access to the site
Great place to take your family and learn from where most people originated from lots of history and historical memorabilia had information. Strongly recommend you take your kids to this place and there also is a go kart place on the way so you can convince them with that lol. I strongly recommended and would be a beautiful time to go in the fall or spring seasons. The only bad part is it takes 6 months prior to going to get inside of the Statue of Liberty most people don't know that so sure if you want to go to the inside of the Statue of Liberty you call him up and find out all the information and facts you need.
The Statue of Liberty is a must see, bucket list, self guided tour when in NYC!! The ferry ride over gives you a great view of the NY skyline & the Statue in all her glory. You get a little feeling of what it was like back in the day when many immigrants came over the Atlantic. My grandfather came via boat in 1908. You can feel the history here.
Lady Liberty was definitely my favorite. Did not go to Liberty Park due to time, did not want to spend two to four hours there so we rode Staten Island Ferry and had an excellent view. Already making plans to go to Liberty Park next time we visit.
Worth the crowds and the wait! This is truly a pure work of art and is amazing to look at from all angles! Also walking to the top of the statue is truly a treat and can see most of the harbor! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Famous yet Iconic spot. You can access it from Jersey or New York. They have tight security protocol especially about visitors personal item. Make sure you check it first in the websites to prevent your item taken.
She s big. I mean we all know she s big, but when you disembark the ferry and get really close, she is immensely huge. And her history is fantastic. She symbolises all the best things about America: freedom, democracy and international friendship. But mostly she s just impressively large. We went there on a Reserve Ticket, which is sold as a round trip with Ellis Island access. There are also options for pedestal access, crown access and a hard hat tour, any of which we would have loved to experience; but they were booked up months in advance so you ll need to be planning way ahead to have a hope of booking one of these. On the ordinary Reserve Ticket, the whole round trip costs $19.25 for adults, $14 for seniors and $9 for kids and it s even cheaper if you combine it with a bunch of other attractions on a CityPASS. Unbelievable value both to visit Ellis Island and to crane your neck at the statue s glorious enormousness.
I went to the most beautiful 'Statue Of Liberty' and I fell in love on the spot. This place was a joint effort by France and the USA intended to commemorate the lasting friendship between people of these two countries. Believe me, the view is awesome. You need to buy tickets to go to the base or crown which will be a must-have experience. The tickets are very reasonable. It is a self-guided tour when you visit NYC. The boat ride was all fun. But be prepared to walk up a lot of steps, in the end, it is worth! You can visit Ellis Island from where the Statue is merely 10 minutes far. At Ellis, you will get all the information about immigrants.
We had a wonderful time at the statue of liberty. The ferry ride over to Ellis island and the statue was a lot of fun with excellent views of both Manhattan and the statue of liberty. The Ellis island museum was very interesting with lots of historical pictures and artifacts. The statue of liberty was bigger than I expected and majestic.
Evergreen favorite (no pun intended). We happened to visit on a day with excellent weather. My trip to the pedestal was fascinating. It wasn t clear that there were two queues one for the elevator and the other (shorter) for the stairs. I wish I had the time to go up to the crown. I was impressed to see the Eiffel Tower style scaffolding inside the statue. Truly a landmark to visit time and time again.
I can't believe the value of this destination. We started from Jersey have free parking and a ferry ride there was only $18 that was hop-on hop-off.a little tip the very best pictures of the statue of liberty or from the boat. Apparently if you want to climb to the top you have to book your tickets about six months in advance. But according to staff the 345 step climb is a little anticlimactical. I couldn't believe how many things we can do in New York on the cheap. I have been told by so many people how expensive it is so it was a pleasant surprise.
Experience was amazing.. it s nice to visit NYC during fall since the weather is so conducive for walking... I love the fact that subways systems although a little bit tricky its very convenient in accessing Manhattan.. it s the cheapest way to... get around the entire city and explore.. the key there is to have the strength and patience to walk... for me that s the only way to enjoy manhattan efficiently
I am so glad I got to visit miss Liberty and check it off my bucket list. She is so special and so beautiful. The crown tour is 100% worth climbing up the stairs, you must plan far, far in advance and get your tickets. Just an FYI, the stairs are not for the elderly, they are tight, awkward and steep. (and there are a lot of them)
From the moment of its dedication, the Statue of Liberty has been an enigmatic monument, a powerful symbol of the tensions between national independence and universal human rights.
The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World" was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was designated as a National Monument in 1924. Employees of the National Park Service have been caring for the colossal copper statue since 1933.
Statue was great. Going up to the crown is probably not worth it. Restaurants need some work. Come on guys, this is the symbol of liberty for the whole country. Get it together
It's a wonder place to visit, you can get boat to take you there and see it as you wish. If you want you can take the boat from there home or to Ellis island. This is a beautiful place in any weather and the tickets give you 30 days to use it especially if the day you booked it on had weather you didn't want like rain or whatever.
Anything and everything I say about this statue is less to describe the genuineness of it. It shows why Americans must be proud of what they are famous for. they allow others to make their fortune and the symbol MUST LAST FOREVER. It is an inspiring monument and the experience of visiting Statue of Liberty is life time experience. I would love to down town again and spend time on reading g the history in details. I can do google too but learning live is different level of experience.
You will have to go through 2 security checkpoints to see the Statue of Liberty. Wear stuff that s easy to take on & off. One before you get on the boat and the other is at the statue itself. I found it was very crowded in the afternoon. On the way over I didn t think the boat ride was too crowded. However, on the way back, it was a HUGE security concern because the boat was over capacity & I know there wasn t enough life vests on it should the boat capsize. There was only 35 children s vests and I counted 6 kids close to me & I couldn t see farther back or upstairs. I think they were trying to get everybody off the island because it was Friday, November 23rd and boat patrol people wanted to be out & about. When we were on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty there is only enough room for maybe 2 deep of people standing in front of each other. Instead, it was 4 deep and I was only able to go through the door when someone brushed past my coat & I had to go back in because it was too claustrophobic. There are food & drinks in the cafeteria but limited seating unless you go outside. When it s cold out everyone wants to be in so be sure to dress warmly because you may have to eat outside.
Weekends are little crowded, Overall great experience. Plan well and purchase tickets online before visiting. Pedestal or Crown view tickets are available online and worth to buy. A holy place to the people who knows the value of Liberty.
Love Statue of Liberty the cool quick cruise boat ride to the liberty island is great. You can take great pictures from different views with your family or friends. Please don't forget to buy tickets online and print this will save you at least an hour. First time I went there without buying online and have to wait for more than an hour. This was my second trip and I took all the lessons from my previous trip bought ticket in advance.
It was a great experience! The line was fast and we could check the museum, have the little cruise to the island and visit Ellis island . The only bad thing is that they don't warn you that the cheapest ticket doesn't allow you to go up on the statue, otherwise I'd have gotten the other option. Rather then that it was worth it!
Great to be on the ground under the gaze of the famous statue. It's a great short boat ride with many photo opportunities during the journey. A large cafeteria provides a wide range of food, hot, cold and alcoholic drinks and lemonade and ice cream is available from another concession behind the statue.
The monument and the island were a great place to visit, best recommended to purchase tickets online to avoid long lines. The kids enjoyed the boat ride to and from the island as well.
