Brought vehicle in for warranty service. Confirmed with a finance manager beforehand that the service would be covered under warranty. After taking my car in, that finance manager doubled back and said it would not be covered under warranty, despite his earlier promise. No support from staff, or management, to take responsibility. GM told me he was willing to lose all future business from me over this. Not really the kind of accountability that I like to see. Will not be returning, and would advise against it for anyone else.

He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure we were well taken care of. I was recently in the market for a new work van and not sure why I ended up at a VW dealership but had 20 mins to kill and it was right there. I was greeted the moment I was through the door by Jim Nourry and quickly explained what I was after. He seemed to know the inventory off the top of his head and less than 2 mins later had established that they had nothing in stock to suit my needs. We exchanged cards and without wasting anymore time I was off to my next jobsite.
2 Days later I got a call from Jim to say that he had tracked down 2 vans he wanted me to get a look at. I explained that work wasn't going to take me to the South end for a couple days and he guaranteed they would still be there for me as long as I could make it before the end of the week. Both vans he had found were exactly what I was after and well under my budget so I chose the one with sturdier shelving already in it. Left that day with all my paperwork to get insurance and plates. Now to find a lift back to pick it up.... no luck. Called Jim to explain how I wasn't sure when I would line up a ride and the time to bring it home and he said he understood and there was no problem leaving it on the lot as long as I needed. I did however miss the part where he inquired about my address cause I was some surprised an hour later when there he was at my door with the keys and my van (plus new windshield).
I have never had a dealership experience anywhere near what I got this time and I know where I'm heading next time!!!

The Best dealership in Edmonton hands down. While trying to find a car to purchase, we visited several in the area and after visiting another VW dealership, we landed at Southgate VW on one of their busiest days. Kris was absolutely a pleasure to deal with, he found our vehicle in our colour in his garage, and after test driving, sitting down for numbers, we came up with a deal we all were happy with. Our trade in went very well, got the numbers we were looking for and proceeded to work with Jason the manager to complete the deal. Evan in finance took over from there and 2 days later we had possession of our shiny new Tiguan. Congratulations to Southgate VW on their amazing service through a major purchase.

Purchased a brand new 2017 Golf from Kent A. He was very helpful, all of the staff were friendly and they were a breath of fresh air after dealing with the other VW dealership's games for days on end. I appreciated Southgates no nonsense approach, I am a busy mom of 2 young kids and they were very respectful of my time, provided me with a clear price for my new car and trade in that I could take home and discuss with my husband. Jan 2020: This was my first time going to a dealership to buy a car. I didnt feel pressured in anyway, Kris and Charissa worked with me financially. I left a very happy person!
April 2021: since buying my car I have had nothing but issues with it. So many repairs and whenever I take it to Service they quote me into the thousands everytime. I always end up taking it elsewhere for repairs as I simply cannot afford their rates. Always charged 80 to 160 for a simple "diagnoses" and then I have to take it else where anyway. In my experience I will never purchase another VW ever again.
Jackson was so helpful for getting me into my new Golf R! Very thorough & communicated so well. He went through everything with me and made sure I understood. He also answered any & all questions I had. Mike the sales manager was also awesome to deal with, very involved in the whole process to make sure I was comfortable and happy. Went in to get my first oil change for my new Jetta, and was very disappointed with the woman in the service area. She was on the computer as I stood there for 10 minutes in front of her desk. She never made eye contact with me or acknowledged me in any way. That s not the customer service I expect after purchasing a brand new car. So i drove over to Norden VW in Sherwood park and was helped right away. I will be going there for my servicing from now on.
The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. I know next to nothing about cars and they made the process of purchasing this vehicle very easy. The 2011 vehicle I bought was cleaned up very nicely and they even made sure I had a full tank of gas to leave with. Very happy with the service and vehicle I now have!

Bought a newer dodge ram at this dealership. Had issues the night I brought it home was told by the manager " I should of noticed before I bought it!!!" Noticed other issues as well. Have spent upwards of 3000.00 in the 2 weeks with my "new" truck. Do your self a favor and buy else where. Three star rating on Google should tell you what kind of service they provide.

Friendly staff and low pressure sales. Delivery was a little below standard (they managed to lose my second key fob, manual, and run out of all weather floor mats) but they made the effort to fix things as soon as they were organized (the following week, promised fix in 48 hours but was apparently untenable). I m happy with the vehicle overall though, Volkswagen makes a quality product.

My experience at Southgate Volkswagen was perfect from start to finish. I accredit this great experience to Kris, our salesperson. We didn't have an appointment booked but Kris saw us right away and we let him know what we were after - a 2020 Tiguan Highline with the R Line. He found us the perfect one and there's not a thing I'd change about the vehicle; I absolutely love it. I had told him every feature we were looking for and he hit every mark. His demeanour was very relaxed, not trying to force a sale which I can really appreciate. Throughout the process, he remained in touch via text which made my life easier, and always followed through on what he said he'd do. Having been to a lot of dealerships in my lifetime, I finally didn't feel like someone was trying to hose me or wasn't listening to my needs. I've often been met with young salespeople (no offence to them, whatsoever) but I've never felt valued and heard the way that I did with Kris. He's genuinely kind and attentive and made the shopping experience fun instead of daunting and hesitant. Bought a pre-owned VW Golf Sportswagen, our salesperson (Tyler Nagy) went above and beyond our expectations for us. I have had bad experiences with pushy salespeople in the past, and this was the complete opposite. The complete process was simple, no BS. After my experience here I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new VW or a used car.

After several visits to their service department, however, I would recommend checking their work after each visit. The sunroof on my recently VW pre-owned certified car did not in fact work. I brought it in to have it fixed, and received it with a sloppily reassembled interior (headliner had been removed to replace the sunroof motor) next, after having a door handle worked on, I found the "fixed" handle quite loose and scratches on the door. finally, several weeks ago, I booked my car in for a defective window switch. After replacement of the switch, my door panel was not properly installed. The service manager was apologetic and understanding about my complaints, and said she would look into the history, but I have to date, never heard back.
I see many glowing reviews of various sales experiences, but lets face it, after-sales quality is much more important than sales. after all, what good is your dealership when you can't trust their work?

Best car buying experience. Never once did we feel pressured by typical salesmen BS. Dan was very patient with us. We came to consider buying a vehicle last year and the timing wasnt right, yet dan never haggled us. Just a quarterly text message to check up on us and let us know of any deals.
Fast forward a year later and we knew we wanted Dan to sell us a vehicle. The whole process felt in our court, never any sleezy sales tactics, felt like i was buying a car from from an uncle. He never wasted our time, he gave us plently of space to leave and look at other modles and makes, never bashing, basically letting the car sell itself. That alone made me feel so comfortable in our decision to buy a VW.
All the staff at southside vw were super friendly and made us feel comfortable through the whole process, from reception to the used car manager to the new car department, and finance. Everone giving us the information we needed to buy the SUV for our families needs. Never felt once like we should be suspicious of the deal, or have buyer's remorse.
