The steward who transported my suitcase and showed me to my room, was a true gentleman and epitomised service experienced at the 5-star facility. His thoughtful attentiveness made me truly regret my lack of cash, in order to show my appreciation in the form of a gratuity.
At checkout, there are occasions when onward travel is more complicated, and the traveller must request further accommodation in leaving a bag behind. A simple note of the date on their ticket while mentioning the charge for bags left over seven days, would suffice to remind the traveller of the date necessary to have the bag collected.
The desk staff show attention to every detail and the porters are friendly and efficient. The room was clean and so comfortable that there was no need for any additional request. Thank you for a delightful sojourn. I look forward to the opportunity to be a guest again.

People swarming all all over you asking if everything's okay. Yes. It is. But I'm not sure what makes it five star. The rooms aren't much bigger than a Travelodge or a Premiere Inn BUT... you can walk to BA T5. That makes it worth a bit extra.......

This is a very good hotel, rooms are super modern ...

This is a very good hotel, rooms are super modern and very nice. We got a quiet room, pillows are feathers and toilet are very cool. Service is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants or needs a hotel room around this area. I will definitely come here again in the future!

We love the convenience of the sofitel at T5 Heath...

We love the convenience of the sofitel at T5 Heathrow. We have stayed there on two separate occasions now before our long flight back to Australia. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are immaculately kept and the rooms are comfortable with all the amenities we require.

The hotel is nice, great and large within the airport campus. From the hotel reception hall you can enter the airport terminall as well you can check arrivals and departures flights. Also there is a money machine. with a beautiful and luxurious resturant.

The hotel is always very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Choice of places to eat...nice atmosphere in the bar. The only downside is that you cannot use the steam/sauna without quite a heavy charge. The connected walkway to the hotel is really handy.

We stayed here for the first time in April last year with our 2 friends when we flew out of T5. We had such a great experience that the 4 of us have chosen to visit again before our flight tomorrow. Excellent parking facilities whilst we're away, beautiful hotel, great staff & excellent food in the Sphere Bar. We'd definitely stay again if it's more convenient to fly from T5 rather than our nearest airport, Manchester.

The room has a sophisticated design and has very good quality. The access to the BA Terminal #5 is very convenient and one of the reasons we selected the hotel. We used the bar (beautiful design). The restaurant service was well done but the food was somewhat disappointing; my Indian butter chicken was over cooked and lacking in taste. My colleague's hamburger was also overcooked.
Everything else was very satisfactory and I will stay there again if occasion arises.

Sleek, modern and comfortable but with a pointlessly complex and fussy electronic key system. Service is strangely slow too given that there seem to be dozens of staff roaming around the place. Location is pretty perfect though so I daresay we'll be back.

I called the hotel and asked information about wal...

I called the hotel and asked information about walk in Covid 19 check and i was told yes you can come for walk in test, no booking required at all , we have enough kits come any time before 8pm etc and will cost 99 GBP . if you do rest and test ( so covid19 test + stay a night ) it will be 199... very fair enough and i liked the sound of these services

I drove 10+ miles n spent two hour + in driving back and fro , only to be told
a. sorry lab has limitation today so we are only doing it for people who have taken the full service ( rest and test for 199)

b another person told me slight different story generally walk in all ok but given weekend we are not doing walk ins...

my issue is they shoudl have clarified on the phone, on the phone I was told no booking required for walk in we have enough kits etc ( i called twice and spoke to two different members and was told the same thing , no issue with walk ins etc)
not only i wasted two + hours but now i have no way to get my test done in UK as other place are full they have left me in the hanging :(
additionally i felt really bad as people who are paying 199 are still getting their tests done so is it a way to force people to take full package or is it a case of very poor communication - either way not expected from a hotel that wants to say we are 5*, really ??

oh by the way one still have to pay the parking , test or no test , which is minimum 7 (1st hour) - - if the test was done then parking is not an issue at al ....

Other than having to wait a few minutes to check in, my stay was easy and exactly what I needed as I began my long journey (24+ hours) home. I was even upgraded at check in, which was a nice touch.
The room was a good size and very clean. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath with good amenities. Room service was quick. Overall, a pleasurable experience.

Quick check in with a friendly member of staff and made reservation for evening meal giving advice which restaurant would be best for our requirements. The executive lounge was OK but there was no food left even though the time for finishing food was one hour away.
The room was clean, tidy and well maintained. The restaurant service was excellent and very professional. The meal was of a very high quality and cooked to perfection.
The checkout was fast with the invoice being emailed. Overall an excellent experience which is why I keep using the hotel.

Following thunderstorms at Heathrow and a very delayed flight we arrived after 1am. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming - making us feel valued. We were so pleased to be given a free upgrade and tumbled into bed. As usual the room was clean and the added space was great! Love the Espa soaps etc. Plenty of hot water, fluffy towels etc. Breakfast was delicious with a huge range of choice from pancakes through to kippers as well as the expected fresh fruits, cheese, cereals etc. We were down for just one day and so left our overnight bags while we went in to London knowing we could just grab them and catch the flight instead of having to lug them round all day. The ONLy things I would change are - a better choice of pillows (which are so personal) and green tea in the rooms. Otherwise: I'll be back!

We spent a night on our way back to NYC from India. I was traveling with my 2 little kids and had an absolutely wonderful and super comfortable stay. Everything, from proximity to airport and ease of check in, to super friendly staff and delicious food. We loved it all.

Absolutely fantastic from reception to tea room To my room the meal I had there was second to non breakfast out of this world so much to choose from outstanding staff polite put me at ease as this is my first time travelling since my husband passed six years ago I was nervous no truth to be told I was scared

Good hotel. I stay here every time I have an early morning flight. Rooms are big and clean. Good amenities. The big issues are: there are never any bell boys around to help with luggage (always have to wait), check in always takes a very long time, even in the member line, and parking is only free for 15 minute so given my two previous complaints, if you re dropping off bags before returning a rental car, you will inevitably spend more than 15 minutes finding for someone to take your bags and then have to pay for parking. There s also no loading bay to unload bags. Or there is one, but because there are no bell boys around you then end up having to take your bags out, wait in line, find concierge, and by then other cars are beeping to get through.

You would never know you were at an airport hotel. Never heard a. plane. Extremely quiet and comfortable room. Courteous staff. Delicious French restaurant on premise. Only hotel in Europe with a light up make up mirror in the bathroom!

We were at the hotel for only a few brief hours, but it was long enough to having a refreshing and extremely comfortable nap. The room was a perfect temperature since we could control it ourselves, and the blackout curtains helped us to go to sleep. Although the daytime hours are 8 am to 6 pm, we were able to extend for half an hour even though the hotel was fully booked. This was particularly helpful since our plane arrived late, and we didn't get to the hotel until about 2:30 pm.

It could go wrong, but this was too much of a good thing. Fawlty towers everyone tells me when I share my experience. Despite request at reception no breakfast in room. No TV in the room from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. An abnormally long wait for correct restaurant bill. Disinfection wipes requested for the gym were delivered to the room instead of the gym. Clerk refused to take them to the gym! Only after insistence 2 days after departure will be received by e-mail instead of immediately as usual at fast checkout. Credit card unblocking only the day after checkout instead of immediately.

Very practical option. I really like this hotel! Less than 5mins walk to the terminals, zero sound of plans taking off or landing, my very 1st time here but it came highly recommended. 4 star as I didn't need anything from the hotel but where to rest my head for 7hrs. Didn't use room service or anything else. Maybe 5 star on next visit.

Junior suite perfect for a one night family stay before flying out of T5. Good price direct with Accor Hotels, considering what we got for the money. Very convenient for Heathrow parking and T5 - couldn't be easier.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever se...

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life..
They wrongfully charged my credit card and a month after my stay, still refuse to deal with and remove the charge. I've had to now dispute it with my bank. They don't respond to emails and continue to transfer you to new people to avoid correcting their mistake.
They told me twice while I was there that they had not charged me and that if it does show after my stay they will take care of it. Of course they still have not.
I am still waiting on this issue to be resolved and am sharing my story to hopefully prevent others from staying here and dealing with this mess of a staff.
At this point they are just stealing.

There was also incredibly rude guest services man who stooped to name calling and eye rolling over a simple food service request (for food to be delivered to guest services instead of the room) the manager apologized but I certainly hope nobody else has to deal with that employee with a terrible attitude and apparently bad temper.

Additionally, they do not have a car service to the hotel which they are LOCATED inside of. Insane to me.. it is a 20-30 minute walk to and from the terminal. For someone with special needs this would be a struggle, or a 15$ uber ride to the airport. Again- that the hotel is located inside of. Terrible logistics..

Will never stay with ANY SOFITEL ever again, and I hope this review keeps others from doing the same. I can't believe they have any good reviews at all.

Dreadful. Five stars hotels and after 20 min and three automated options I have not been able to connect even with the operator. If this is the standard of service, this establishment is clearly overrated. Worst first impression.

The room was excellent with an extremely comfortable bed and great toiletries. We also pre-ordered dinner in La Belle Epoque which was delicious, with excellent service. This was an excellent saving so I'm glad the offer was available at the time of booking.

We drove up. Had to get all our suitcases out of the car and leave our car at the front whist the doormen all chatted. It was not till we got to reception that we complained. This always happens at Heathrow. The doormen never come out to help.

Once again we had a one night stay at the Heathrow Sofitel in Terminal 5 and the rooms as always are so quiet, clean and lovely. This hotel for us is well worth the money. We had the breakfast and it was by far the best buffet we have ever had in all of our travels. The food choices are wonderful from Indian, to Oriental to the ultimate full English breakfast. We loved it ! We also took the free shuttle from the White Horse pub and they brought us back to the hotel. Love that 15th century pub so close by. Was a wonderful overnight stay and the staff is the best.

I was accommodated at the Sofitel Term 5 heathrow thro BA due to a missed connection. I travel a lot worldwide and spend many nights in hotels but I had never stayed in the Sofitel. I won't be staying again. Unfriendly unhelpful staff at reception, being told I wasn't allowed to use my BA meal coupons towards room service - now if BA are paying the hotels for the food, who are they to dictate that I must go and use them in the restaurant ! After a long frustrating day of travel; all I wanted was a shower and relax to catch up on work in my room, not to have to go and sit alone in a restaurant. Then came the next problem v v slow free wifi. Probably to force the client to opt to go onto the pay system - all I wanted to do was send e mails, so surely a free system should be adequate for this.
The television, also frequently lost its connection; and lastly the shower would alternate between scalding hot and cold.
no not the best hotel experience. I read somewhere recently that someone rated the Sofitel higher than the nearby Hilton. I stayed in the Hilton 10 days ago, and I would v highly recommend staying there. A little bit dated decor, but super friendly and helpful staff, and reliable amenities.

We enjoyed the stay at the Sofitel. Checked in late afternoon and just walked around the lobby area. Had dinner at one of the restaurants and the service was excellent. They took good care of our three year old as well - the waitress was very entertaining. Room was very comfortable, filled with a lot of little luxuries and the bath made for an excellent relaxation stop. Easy to get out in the morning for our flight. Highly recommend, esp if you're flying out from Terminal 5.

This was my first visit to London, and I must say ...

This was my first visit to London, and I must say my overall experience at Sofitel was nothing short of awesome! The service all around was impeccable. I appreciated being able to schedule a much needed wake-up call the morning of my departure flight. The staff was all very friendly, hospitable, accommodating, and helpful. The food at both Tea 5 and Sphere Bar was incredible! I tried all things vegetarian and was totally impressed. I will definitely be back! Thank you again :)

Upscale hotel, reasonably convenient to LHR, but ONLY very convenient to T5, if other terminals then expect to use underground, bus or shuttle, though the latter stops at 11:30 pm so flights arriving after 10:30 make it virtually impossible to get through border control in time.

Hotel is clean and quiet, room is quite nice though a little cramped for two people, but they do charge for EVERYTHING, even parking a car for an hour, so given those two main items only 3 star rating.
