Sofitel T5 Review

I love this hotel if I'm flying from Heathrow. Great rooms and so convenient for T5 or and other terminal (via the Heathrow express).

Like many hotels in airport, this one is not good. For a 5 stars hotel this is disappointing.
This hotel is used by airport companies when a flight is delayed or cancelled. So there are a lot of people, kids, and it is very crowded and noisy.
My room was flooded because of a leak in the bathroom. Fortunately the employees at the reception and at the customer satisfaction desk are very nice and responsive. I had a new room quite quickly.
The rooms are old fashioned and smell dust.
Food at the restaurant is not good and expensive.
I came here because of a conference in the hotel.

I left my baggage in the morning, went back to the afternoon, and when I checked in, I handed my baggage stub and went to the room.
I'm told to wait for a few minutes and I'll hang up.
When the numbness was cut off and I went to the reception, it seems that the stub has been lost.
I was taken to the luggage storage area and ended up carrying my own luggage.
Where is the 5 star service? Same as cheaper motel or less when stub is lost.

Perfect check in, very nice room which was lovely decorated by staff who honoured our wedding anniversary. Very thoughtful and nice. Bed was a bit hard and pillows too "bouncy" to give that perfect sleep. Loved everything else though including proximity to the tube into London.

The Sofitel offers a calm, serene atmosphere to help you reset after a long flight or to prepare for a long flight home. Check-in is always quick and easy. Staff is professional. The rooms are very clean. The bed is perfect for a good night's sleep. Linens are exquisite. The lounges offer a place to unwind. And it offers the convenience of being just a short walk to the terminal. We stay each time we land and depart at Heathrow.

Perfect location, good service and rooms, but pricey!

It was a great idea to stay here for the day after a trans-atlantic layover with a toddler

After a long holiday, not sleeping so well in lots of questionable beds, we transited through Heathrow and slept like babies, a stone's throw from the terminal. Bliss.

After a short walk from my flight, I was pleasantly greeted by reception staff and went to my room. The room was lovely, the bed was heavenly. I would definitely stay here again. I was upgraded to a larger room at no charge.

Handy to the airport. Good service. I would normally use a airport hotel but this is all there is at Heathrow. It was a little expensive but the other option was 10 hours at the airport. My only grip was they only allow 1 person to use the gym with your stay. I was staying with my husband.

Nothing special. A bit soulless, but perfectly fine as airport hotels go. Do figure good time to get to any terminal other than terminal 5. It easily takes 30-45 minutes and involves a fair amount of walk, train or taxi.

Rooms are excellent, particularly the bathrooms. I found the bed more comfortable than my wife did. Hotel itself is well staffed, although porters can be a bit pushy. Loved the restaurants and especially the lounge.

The hotel has a great location, a few minutes level walk from T5 checkin. We were given an upgrade which is always going to make me feel good. The ONLY small disappointment was that the room mini bar was empty at the same time as the nearest bar was closed and the only other bar was ram jam full!

We arrived exhausted, after spending most of the day in London, and dealing with public transportation to the airport. Within minutes of checking in, we were sitting down to afternoon tea - a lovely, relaxing experience. We were able to request a wake-up call, a car to the correct terminal, and room service for breakfast the following morning. Our experience with your staff was extraordinary, and they offered suggestions about dinner, shopping, and in-hotel options. It made our last evening in England much less stressful!

Easy hotel for an overnight at Heathrow. Great breakfast.

The hotel was great, the staff were polite and very courteous. The room was excellent. The only criticism during our stay was when I wanted to watch sport in the comfort of our room this wasn't possible. I had to go to the bars or executive lounge as this was the only place available.

Friendly + efficient staff. First class facilities. Very convenient.

A bit pricy but our favourite convenient hotel for the Heathrow Terminal 5. Decent Exec Lounge and the BA in-hotel check in is really handy.

Early flight .. book this hotel .. fantastic nights sleep before the 4.30 start to my day!

We've stayed at a number of hotels at Heathrow Airport, including this Sofitel. Each time at the Sofitel has been excellent but this was the best time. A beautiful and very large room with outstanding views of planes landing at the airport and those delightful little electronic pods that go between Terminal Five and the business car parks. Excellent executive lounge with most helpful and friendly staff. Looking forward to returning on 12 July.

Most convenient for T5. Allow partial-day stays. Reasonable rates for a nice London hotel. All about the convenience!

We arrived late in the evening from Cyprus and needed a good sleep before our flight out the next day. Check in was quick and smooth, and all the staff were very attentive and efficient.

Upmarket hotel, convenient for T5, but a bit of a drag for other terminals. Beware the shuttle stops at 11:30 so international arrivals after 10:30 can easily miss it and have to use the underground

Lovely place to meet our friends who were in transit at Heathrow. Great service for afternoon tea.

We stayed for one night before our early morning flight back to the U.S.A and we were pleasantly surprised ...we had a wonderful stay and loved the hotel we just wish we could have stayed longer...we will defiantly be back

Great room. Massive bed. Tv was swivel mount so you could move it to your liking and it had screen mirroring. Spa was fantastic. Loved the spas swimming pool

Love our stayed here in conjunction to continue our journey home to Bali. The room is very big and comfortable, lovely inside. The bed is super comfortable and pillows definitely make my sleep so deep. The bathroom with great bathtub, great shower and quite big size too. Very comfortable. The breakfast also winner! Lovely selections of breakfast and funny and entertaining chef served me egg! I had great breakfast. Very highly recommended ,

When traveling to London, most of the time there is only one night after the transit,
We will arrive in the evening and leave the next evening.
You can leave the airport, check in your luggage quickly, and then go to the city
It is very convenient and you can use the time of the airport hotel effectively.
The rooms are very large, clean and above all the beds are very comfortable.
I want to use it by all means from now on.

Excellent hotel for corporate events. Able to cater to a very high standard, even with >500 guests and a full three course meal. Only dissapontment was cost of taxi from hotel - be warned, the added fee / hotel cut!

Best airport hotel I've been to. Everything is top notch: they have restaurants inside the hotel, cafe', bar, hair salon, spa...plus, the room is AMAZING!! HDTV, easy hookups if you want to watch your weekend video on the TV. The only reason I see it as not such good value is because of location...you'll be at least 20min away from the city. The positive is that if you're flying early morning than you're right in the terminal, but still, I'm sure you don't need a five star experience if you're away from the city...

Very pleasant stay Rooms nice clean well enough presented. Staff where on the ball polite and willing. Wasn't hard to find or access the place.

1,000,000x better than sleeping in the terminal on a layover. Checkin was easy, rooms are very nice.

For the short time I stayed, everything was very good

I love the Sofitel at Terminal 5. The staff are wonderful and helpful, the rooms are luxurious, the amenities are generous and I love the fluffy robes after a long flight. The restaurant is really nice and the tea room is the perfect spot for a snack. It is my home away from home in London

The hotel to stay when flying from terminal 5 as it is bridge linked. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very nice.

Amazing airport hotel!

Service was really good, the room was huge and had one of the best bathrooms I've seen in a hotel, with separate rainfall shower and bath tub.

Breakfast buffet had so many options it was ridiculous and the spa is reasonably priced.

Overall a really good Sofitel experience.

A great hotel with big, modern open spaces in the reception area. Perfect for meetings. The staff are very professional and friendly.

Everything was great, good service, good food and so conveniently located right at the airport.

Impeccable service, even the cheapest rooms are well appointed - there's simply no better place to stay when near Heathrow.

Terrific place. Very accommodating when my flight was canceled and then when I got on a flight unexpectedly. The concierge helped us make great dinner plans.

Hospitable, I enjoyed a light lunch after an intercontinental flight and then slept a few hours before the start of the next intercontinental flight that I started refreshing.

Great location but what got the rating was that Shawn, trainee on check-in desk was a top bloke. Really friendly and when we told him we had left our kids at home he went and got us a couple of small gifts to take back to them which was so thoughtful...the kids will love it. He will do brilliantly in customer service and a credit to Sofitel!

The stay was quite nice. I and my family enjoyed having the buffet breakfast, the french restaurant and the dinner experience at Vivre was excellent!! The room service was also good.

Great place for business meeting, staying and eating if you are confined to the airport. However, you'll need deep pockets!

Test and Rest package with Bed, breakfast and Covid test was a winner! Loved the meal in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Made Covid testing and Fit to fly certificates so easy. Thank you Sofitel!

Our taxi company regularly drop clients and customers off at the Sofitel Hotel and customers are always pleased with the rooms and service.

Negatives - room slightly smelly(covered up smoke?)and a bit tired now, and the beautiful smell that used to be all over is now only noticeable in the link between the hotel and T5

I was attending even regarding getting a job so I can't give any info regarding rooms, but the hotel staff was pleasantly nice and it was easy to navigate. I couldn't find the hotel itself for a few minutes but nothing Google Maps couldn't do :) Overall, nice experience.

We had a prestige suite that we upgraded to via an email, it was a lovely large space with two rooms, and included access to the club lounge. This was great to to be able to get a drink and snacks after a long journey.
Room was very clean and of a high standard, included tea and coffee facilities, table with 4 chairs, living area and bathroom with another separate toilet area.
It is about a 5 minute walk to the lifts for departure, undercover, so perfect for the unpredictable English weather.
Reason we gave it a 9 is because it is more expensive than other hotels in the area but worth the extra money.

Beautiful quiet room, good room service, comfy beds...and SO convenient being right there at the airport.

Checkin was smooth. Rooms were showing their age, but was comfortable. And unfortunately, the staff were quite difficult to get a hold of on the phone, but primarily due to Covid and a reduce staff rotation. Room service had great food and quick service. Will definitely return.

It's literally attached to the airport. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the restaurant in the hotel is quite good. It makes this hotel a very good solution for people that stuck at the airport for the night.

I love Sofitel properties. I have stayed at their Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom and Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal hotels so when I had a chance to stay at the Sofitel London Heathrow i jumped at the chance.

From the moment I contacted the the group reservations department all the way through to check in I was met with a well managed, professional staff head and shoulders above the rest.

I find the Sofitel Hotels to have a distinctive design. No two hotels are the same. This one has a unique style which incorporates the judicious use of glass. Beautiful.

In the room the furniture, bedding, carpet and bathroom amenities were well put together and functional. The internet was adequate but not especially fast. This is what you with the complimentary service. If you need to stream or down load large files or VOIP you should upgrade to the paid service.

I had to leave early the following morning so I did not use the gym or partake in the breakfast. However, if they are as good as the other Sofitel Hotels they are top notch.

My only caveat is that the staff takes too long to answer the phone at night. Other than that I have no complaints and can't wait to stay here again.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Very attentive staff and quality food.
