Top class hotel, amazingly comfortable beds, perfect for night before long flight to other side of world. Short walk to terminal and can leave car there whilst away. Not cheap but we'll worth it.

Its the first time we have stayed in a luxury 5 star hotel and the moment you arrive you can tell why it is a 5 star hotel. The staff could not do enough for you, so helpful and through out our stay they was always there tp help.

The initial registration was slow, surely a peak hour, from then on everything went very well

If you're there for more than 5 minutes they will charge you to get your vehicle out.

Everything was great but In exec.suite in the bathroom HERMES toiletries were purposed for men. There should not be assumption that only men stay in exec suites. Gender neutral or softer scents would be better, or 2 options - for men and women so the guest can choose.

I stay here about once a quarter when taking early flights the team never disappoints

The hotel to stay if you are having a really early morning flight out of Terminal 5 as it is conveniently located and just 5 minutes walk to/fro hotel to check-in counters. Ample signs from Terminal 5 to lead you to the hotel.
Stay at the Executive Club rooms, and though room was really spacious, it's decor is really dated. For the price one is paying, its really not wallet friendly as the room is pretty spartan and un-inviting. Sheets are clean though but everything else in the room doesn't feel like you are in the Executive Club status.
However, checking in was really a breeze and the front desk manager was quick & efficient to get the registration out of the way & handing me my room card key.
The Executive Club lounge is pretty spartan and dated too. furnitures are old and dated, and food spread & beverages are nothing to sing about.
The ironic thing is that the lobby and main areas are pretty well furnished and feels new. Perhaps they are working to refurbish the rooms in stages (I hope)
Morning breakfast at the lobby level restaurant was a life-saver! Buffet spread was generous and varietal. Definitely a great way to start the morning & the long trip ahead.

Overall, fantastic place. I went there for a wedding and I gave it 4/5. It lacked 5/5 for me because the car park was a nightmare as signage was all over the place. The lifts were confusing, and general signage across the hotel was rubbish. Other than that, it was beautiful and elegant.

Nice hotel and room. Restaurants a bit expensive, but you have LHR T5 across the road and M&S for a sandwich and some food.

Great venue with fantastic staff and amazing bedrooms

Location is perfect for flights from Heathrow, however I would not say this is a five star hotel. The decor is very dated and the windows in your room just look over reception so no natural light. The room I had was very loud, constant banging and footsteps all night. Every interaction with staff was just a palava. I would probably stay here again due to the convenience of being able to have a COVID test and get my flight at the same place but would not recommend if you were to stay here to get your holiday started

Hotel was very nice and clean. My family and I stayed for one night, before flying out in Heathrow. Very convenient since it was in the same terminal we were departing from.

Staff was very accommodating. I requested to stay a few hours extra after check out since it was my child's nap time. Since there were no check ins to that room that day, they allowed it without extra charge.

Quick, friendly service on arrival. Plenty of space in rooms. Very clean and comfortable. No noise from airport - awesome!!!

The check-in clerk was very efficient and recommended the hotel restaurant as a kid friendly place...which it certainly was.

Convenient. Pleasant front desk persons. Lousy management of break time/coverage of front desk necessitating an unnecessarily long check in process. After about 15-20 min wait, suddenly 5 additional staff showed up together to eliminate the wait for about 15 tired travellers.

Great but requested extra pillows and never got them.

Lovely hotel and actually part of Terminal 5 so if you staying here ahead of your early flight, you can't get closer.

I stayed for 2 nights, but I was comfortable. However, despite check-in at the luxury room and club use when checking in, it was said that charging would take charge if you were guided to the twin room and use the lounge. As I was an Accor hotel member, I have a reservation table in Japanese, and I was asked to change the room to the reservation. If I didn't have one, I wondered if I was in a crying night. It was very disappointing that the hotel itself was comfortable.

One night stop between flights. Clean and spacious room. Friendly service. Breakfast was ok. I d stop again if I had a need to.

Everything was outstanding. The room was perfect for myself, my wife and my son. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The best part was the convenience of being already at the airport for our early morning flight home.

If you're stuck in Heathrow between flights for 9 hours during the day and want to catch up on some sleep rather than venturing downtown, a day room at the LHR T5 Sofitel is a good choice. You need to contact the hotel directly to book, as day rooms are not available on the website or through 3rd party booking sites.
Rates are reasonable, and the room service food quality was very good.

Perfect for spending the night before a flight the next morning. Walking from the hotel straight to Terminal 5 is a great convenience. Rooms are accordingly often on the pricey side but are very comfortable.

The conference rooms were nice and the link between the rooms using the projectors is a nice touch

We let the hotel know before our stay that we had a doubl celebration before the trip of a lifetime and they couldn't have done more to make our stay special. We were upgraded to a club room they decorated our room and sent us a card and a chocolate cake. They even rang the room to make sure everything was alright. All in all exemplorary customer service.

Hotel is beautiful. Our check-in, very pleasant. The room was outstanding. However, having driven over 4 hours and arriving in the evening, we decided to stay in our room and to order room service. The food arrived within the said time, and on being presented the room charge, the receipt clearly had a line to add a tip for the delivery lad. I began writing an amount, when the lad stopped me and said it was better for him to receive this in cash. Apparently, anything put onto the room receipt goes to everyone, cash in hand.. well I'm sure you get the idea. Slightly awkward, as I then had to search out my wallet to find the lad cash. The food on the whole was wonderful, sadly a side of fries arrived like warm.. hence, what could have been a perfect pre-holiday stay became satisfactory..

If you can afford it please stay here, it's lovely. I used their spa and everything is so so good

From check in to check out, once again the staff and facilities did not disappoint. The Sofitel LHR makes an overnight layover so painless and comfortable!

Very comfortable hotel right in the airworthy. Extremely quiet and comfy bed makes for an excellent pre-flight sleep.

Room was freezing.. Temperature of aircon was set at 17c. Spa was ok but the pool was out of order

Nice hotel, in terminal 5 so you don't have to take a taxi or shuttle

This is an expensive hotel, but it is at Terminal 5 at Heathrow and gives you access to the Tube into London. The breakfasts are wonderful and filling and cater to vegetarians. I prefer to wander over here from T5 and then catch my plane the next day instead of arriving, catching the Tube or a taxi into London with my luggage and then doing the reverse in the morning. I value my time.

An enjoyable experience; we were given a lovely room where we could watch the planes take off, which was greatly enjoyable for my plane-enthusiast of a toddler. There was a good variety of foods at breakfast, and the staff were professional. The gym was well equipped and the spa had a good variety of treatments.

Terrible service as o called to find out to book a room and the staff jade was not helpful and for everything she told me to contact madu! I was wondering if I had called a wrong place if I need to call madu ..... felt terrible customer service!!!

Very nice. Convenient for terminal 5. Lots of granite and glass. Good service and good food in the restaurant. Rooms are very nice and beds are high quality. Perfect place to stay the night before an early flight.

Recently l booked the Sofitel Heathrow Terminal 5 overnight accommodation deal that included Covid test by another company with a desk in the hotel lobby operating under the name of HALO.
Even though Sofitel under their disclaimer insist that HALO is an independent 3rd party
The Sofitel reception front desk staff handle the Covid test kits and are well versed in the procedure helping customers like myself arriving at checkin for the test.
The test kits are sent overnight to a laboratory for overnight analysis with the results expected early next morning to enable people to travel with a negative Covid result via an app or email or a downloadable certificate to show immigration authorities.
Due to an error in the lab the test had to be rerun which resulted in receiving my result 2pm next day.
My 11am flight was therefore cancelled and I lost 1000.00 Sterling as the ticket was non refundable as well as holiday accommodation booked and extras including the Sofitel package 199.00 and transport to and from Heathrow.
The whole experience was abysmal and left a bad taste in ones mouth.
Other distraught passengers in the lobby included 2 women who missed their flight and Christmas holiday to Tenerife as well as a couple flying to Zagreb.
The hotel sent us an apology but neglected to offer any kind of recompense or refund.
I was contemplating boarding the flight regardless but transiting thru Belgium would mean Covid isolation returning to these shores not to mention 2 weeks quarantine on arrival in Gambia without producing a Covid fee test certificate on arrival

For anyone contemplating the Sofitel hotel test package be warned of the inherent danger involved both financially and mental well being

Great venue, but there was a lack of air conditioning which made the venue very hot

Neat hotel at terminal 5 where you can go on foot. All facilities are present what you can expect at a four star hotel. Furthermore, no inspiring environment of course. But for a meeting or stay about a great place with friendly staff.

The hotel is accessible via a walkway that connects the airport with the hotel.
It is an excellent hotel. I recommend it 100%

Excellent stay as usual. Check in was prompt, my request for room assignment was honoured and the room was very well appointed and luxurious. A short walk away from T5, it isn't cheap but super convenient. Will stay again.

Had a great night's sleep before my flight to Tokyo and the staff were very welcoming

We would never rate this hotel as 5 Star. May be 3-4 Star. Average room disappointingly facing the internal hotel lobby (and this was an upgrade!) Only stayed one night so didn't ask to change room. One Reception staff very unhelpful. A very long walk wheeling suitcases from T5 and unattractively decorated.

Great service from Lee at reception when checking in. Friendly service, and upgraded. Good room service, very nice room, great gym.

Experience was ok - found bedding to be scratchy ( not soft)

Vivre restaurant not great value for money. Quality marginal for cost. Service quite good.

Sofitel London Heathrow Terminal 5

The warm and personal attention we received after our long 30 hour flight was so welcome. As soon as we stepped into the hotel the ambiance, the staff and the speed with which we were escorted to our lovely room was so much appreciated. This is a first class hotel. The front desk agent, Nazia, was professional yet managed to impress us with her charm and attention to detail. If you are traveling on British Airways for your onward journey, you can check your bags in the hotel between 5AM and 1PM. PS: don t forget to enjoy the Zen Garden on the far side of the hotel.

Very nice hotel. Within walking distance of terminal 5 at Heathrow. It's why we chose this hotel. Not much of a view but it was just a place to sleep for our 12 hour layover so not a big deal there. They upgraded us to the king suite which was awesome.

Just wish your club level was open longer for people who come on later flights. No point in having that perk when you have no hope of using it
