I highly recommend Smith Thompson Home Security. Their entire team is professional, responsive and competent.

I finally switched over to Smith Thompson after seeing multiple signs in my neighbors yards for years. I had ADT for 12 years and the price kept increasing and increasing each year. I was paying a lot. Experienced job loss due to covid19 and knew now was the time to finally make the switch. The installer (wish I remember his name, I m so bad with names) was awesome. I had a potential job opportunity call that I was on as he made it to the house. He waited patiently till I got off and could greet him. He did the set up quick and we got in a convo about my current job situation. He spoke words of encouragement and faith into me and absolutely made my day. On top of that he spoke very highly of the company. What a great employee Smith Thompson has! Wish I switched over years ago.

Been best for the price. Had a false alarm and fire department responded quickly. I don't like the alarm transmitter because it gets a weak signal in my house. They upgraded me to a newer model but it rarely has one bar signal strength. But the audible alarm is twice as loud as ADT alarms. I just have the basic doors, windows, and glass break sensors.

We've have been with this company for over 3 years and loving it. Every now and then i would open the back door before disarming the system, i would receive a call from a tech to ensure things are okay. Dependable.

Had a great experience with them - from initial information to installation. They are affordable and also have great customer service. Their technician Bruce was extremely professional and kind. He did not just help me save but also explained everything to me in detail. Would recommend to anyone.

We recently moved to the area from Pennsylvania and one of our new neighbors recommended Smith Thompson Home Security to monitor our alarm. We are not disappointed at all in the quick response, service to install, start up, and in the professional manner Shawn explained everything to us. I'm very impressed that there is no contract, and if you are not satisfied you can just cancel the service. Did I mention they price? It is a bargain!

Technician was prompt for their appointment, very pleasant, and explained the system well. He even took the time to connect our fire alarms which, unknown to us, hadn't been done by previous provider.

I accidentally set up my alarm but did not get a call from the dispatch so I called them. They told me they didn't receive a signal. The dispatcher connected me to tech support and a tech was scheduled. Gary text me and arrived ahead of schedule. He replaced a module at no charge and we're all good. This is great service! I would definitely recommend Smith Thomson security. I have been a customer for more than 10 years, spanning two homes.

While I was listening to 94.9 I heard the commercial about Smith Thompson security. At first I shook my head because I remember my experience and how the owner of Smith Thompson Security was so disrespectful, mean, rude and downright unprofessional. After I had my baby and brought my baby home, there were issues with our new alarm system and then out the blue the owner contacted me. It wasn't a pleasant conversation and I was a scared mother of a newborn because since I was having problems with my security system and no one could seem to fix the problem I received a call from the owner and was talked to in ways my husband of many years had never spoken to me. Then I remembered that in order to be forgiven, I have to forgive. Although looking at the owner's responses to the not so good reviews I still shake my head. To the owner of Smith Thompson security, I just want you to know that I forgive you.

We put off moving to wireless with our previous company because it was going to cost over $200 to convert and they were going to charge us an additional $10/month - which they said was to pay for the wireless. We moved to SmithThompson who charged about $130 to install two new keypads and setup wireless. They are charging $16.95/month vs 21.99 with our prior company. Moving to wireless allowed us to move our phone to the internet ($45 for landline vs $10 over internet) for a total savings of about $40/month. The conversion will pay for itself in less than 4 months. Just wish I had not waited so long to switch.

Easy scheduling initial appointment, simple install, inexpensive and pain-free billing, no issues to date.

Smith Thompson has been our security company for two years now, and we were referred to them by other satisfied customers. We have been delighted with the customer service, and the price is very reasonable. the response time is always immediate via phone, and the on-site service people are always very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and always on time.

Technician Jeremy Dunn was incredibly friendly and patient and knowledgeable. My experience in activation of service was excellent!

I used this service for 3 years with no issues and always paid annual for the service. Last year I decided to go with RING doorbell and did not renew my service. 9 months later I receive disconnect notice saying that I was $146.78 overdue. I called and advised that I did not renew my service and I was told that they never received notification that I did not want to renew but they would check it out. I never received a return phone call even after I called multiple times. I finally spoke with someone today that agreed to let me pay 1/2 the amount for a the service that I never received. They even verified that I never turned the alarm on but said I needed to pay for the airtime. I never received any bills from this company until the disconnect notice. If you are going to not renew your service you better get something in writing from them confirming that they received your request and then hang on to it forever.

Technician was knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done and did so with the utmost efficiency. He communicated his steps, fixed the problem and tested the system to insure accuracy. He was a very professional !

I had several issues with this company so I decided to cancel it after one year. They basically charged me for another 6 months of service with my alarm not even being monitored. Please stay away from this company and find somebody who actually takes cares of their customers. BTW.... JAZMIN at the billing department was extremely RUDE and Helpless!

I highly recommend Smith Thompson. I have been with them for almost a year and I must say that I have been completely satisfied! When the installation tech came out he was very informative and didn t mind answering the million questions I had about the system that he was installing. The things I love most is the affordability with no cancellation fee, excellent customer service, and being able to control my alarm from my phone. I have no complaints!

Prices are reasonable and customer service is very good. The folks coming to the home for performing the service are very polite and do a thorough job. Highly recommend.

We switched from ADT to Smith Thompson several years ago and we are glad about the move. We have found Smith Thompson Security Company to be highly reliable and are extremely focused on customer satisfaction. The new install was quick and scheduling was very flexible. If you are looking for a budget friendly and dependable home security system company, I would highly recommend Smith Thompson.

Okay, I pretty much think most all of these burglar alarm companies are total flakes.....since we've been through pure hell with several. You name it, we've done the do it urself bs where you spend a few hundred bucks and the crap looks like something that came out of a cheerios box, just cheap junk. Smith and Thompson did a complete takeover and upgrade of our system for LESS THAN THE DO IT YOURSELF STUFF and IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!! Works good in fact. They swapped the keypad and the big master box in the closet in less than an hour for about $ 89 and that included a new cellular thing which is really fast to send the data if the alarm goes off. Vert fast! Our monthly rate is around $16 and i'll be darned if I'll ever sign another contract again....but you don't have to with these guys. Okay im impressed, finally, with an alarm company.

Outstanding experience and a great value. Our home was broken into so we sought out a home security system. Smith Thompson was highly recommended to us by our co-workers, and after working with them we would agree with that assessment.
Our house was already wired but not actively monitored, and the previous owner had two existing mix-match keypads from different companies. Smith Thompson replaced the older outdated keypad and reprogramed the other that was in good shape. The technician was very fast and had clearly been well trained. He was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly.
I accidently set off the alarm the day after it was installed, and literally seconds later I had a Smith Thompson representative calling my cell phone to evaluate the situation, a very fast response time.
Overall I would definitely recommend Smith Thompson.

I have been using Smith Thompson for my home security firm since about September 2015. I have had excellent service since this time. I have enjoyed saving each month over the previous security company that I had when I built my home and installed their security system. Smith Thompson replaced my old system with their new pad and has just upgraded my system with a new 5G cellular Transmitter getting the system ready for the new 5G bandwidth. Smith Thompson did not require me to pay for this upgraded system only for a service call.
I certainly would recommend Smith Thompson as your Security company for your home. No contract needed and they have different plans to pick from.
Save money like I do over the overpriced other companies that try and lock you with a certain term contract.
I know you will be satisfied with Smith Thompson just as I have been for over 6 years. Their call center is here in the Dallas area not out of state like some other companies.

I have you Smith Thompson for about seven years now. I recently moved to a new home and they had a terrible older outdated system. They came in and installed brand new system that worked with some of the existing wiring and I couldn t be happier. The price was very reasonable and the annual outlay can t be beat. Always a happy customer.

Smith-Thompson is A-1 in customer service and response. I have accidentally set off my alarm a couple of times, and within FIVE SECONDS, I had a call from the company wanting to know if I was okay. I feel very safe, and the system is so easy to use. The technican Shawn was able to set up monitoring using the existing system in my home, and was very thorough in showing me how to use it. I recommend Smith-Thompson to all my real estate clients, because I know first-hand that they provide top-notch service, and at the lowest rates I've seen.

I did Rodent control service and I have a regular pest control + security service from Smith Thompson. And I must say these guys are professional, always on time and the work is really good.

We ve used Smith and Thompson for four years and are very satisfied with their service. Our home feels very secure. We have very rarely needed service, but when we do, they are quick to come out.

Shawn showed up on time and with a very friendly attitude! My sister was moving into a new home and had nothing but nightmares for several days. He turned that around! We recently had Smith Thompson install our home security system. Jason was our technician and he was excellent. He has many years experience and was very courteous and answered all my questions. The first time I set the alarm and left I didn't close my door completely and half way down the street they called and were ready to dispatch the police. Their prices are the best in town as well!

The technician came on time and took almost one hour to set up everything. He also explained the detailed instructions to us. No contract, only 30-days notice needed. The price is affordable. Just switched from ADT to Smith Thompson and I'm SO glad! Not only were the ST people knowledgeable and professional, when I asked about installing a second keypad they volunteered the option of using a key fob which was a better option for me and half the price of the keypad. Their installer was polite, professional, tidy in his work and arrived on time. Wish I had switched sooner.

I've been a Smith Thompson subscriber for 3 years now and can't say enough great things about their service. I was foolishly an ADT customer for 2 years before I made the switch. Smith Thompson has always provided excellent and reliable service. I've had some false alarm calls and they've always contacted me immediately to confirm all was well. Once my house cleaners came in and I forgot to turn off the alarm. I wasn't able to answer my phone so the Smith Thompson center dispatched the local police department. I have a camera on my porch and watched it all when I got home. Based on the time stamps, Smith Thompson called immediately and the police were out in just minutes. Good to know that just because I'm paying a fair price for alarm monitoring, that I'm not short changing myself on service!

OMG. Terrible customer service. When you call them for the new service, they were super friendly and nice. But when you try to cancel the service they were super rude. I'm no longer need the alarm service so I called and spoke with a rep name CYNTHIA CARDONA to cancel my service, she extremely rude/means, she tried to rush me to finish the conversation even though I still have several questions. I have to stopped her and tell her that "don't rush me, I still have some questions" then she let me ask. The management need to re-train her how to handle customer service. NO MORE SMITH THOMPSON FOR ME AND MY WHOLE FAMILY.

I have been using Smith Thompson home security and pest control services for about 2 years now. I am very pleased with the quality of services. Pest control service technicians are very professional and they always use masks and shoe covers when enter the home. Smith Thompson has very competitive pricing for both of these services. I will definitely recommend Smith Thompson to all of my friends.

You get what you pay for. Please do not trust the security of your family with this company. It is fine until you have a problem. It seems like a small family run operation. Customer service is rude and unhelpful.

These folks did a great job. We had an old, exiting system and Smith Thompson was the only company that agreed to come out and try and utilize what was there rather than start from scratch. They were able to update rather than replace and saved us a good deal of money. Service tech was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I have heard excellent things regarding Smith Thompson Home Security through family referrals, which is why I gave them a call for a quote. I have experienced first hand why this company s reviews are raving. Our technician, James, went above and beyond to ensure our equipment was functioning adequately. James was all done when the equipment started malfunctioning. Instead of coming back the next day, as the time was late, he stayed another hour trying to fix it. He was persistent on immaculately installing the system and ensured every minuscule issue was addressed. Please give him some sort of incentive as I would be requesting him when I upgrade our plan. Thank you for having such caring technicians. He addressed and fully explained all our concerns.
