Ty R in the Provider Service Web Support was the most unprofessional woman I've ever spoke to. I've had military insurance up until this year and now I'm stuck with Simply Healthcare. Prior to calling and speaking with Ty R, I spoke with someone else to get a provider listing of whom I'm allowed to go to. Please tell me why NOT ONE DOCTOR on this 16 page list is BOARD CERTIFIED! I told Ty R, so I can call in tomorrow stating I'm a doctor willing to take patience but I'm not board certified. Her response was ABSOLUTELY. I recorded the whole conversation with her as well and she wouldn't allow me to speak to her supervisor. She wouldn't answer any of my questions and actually hung up on me. Over 12 years with military medical and dental and they NEVER treated me this way. Very unprofessional! Worst experience ever and I just got with Simply Healthcare. Stay Far away from this insurance!
DO NOT CHOOSE SIMPLY. Unless you are a very healthy senior, count on Simply to lie and specifically do not cover replacement of insulin pump and for over 1 hour kept my father, 80 years old diabetic on the phone and declined to get a supervisor.

I have a problem with a herniated disc, my main doctor has tried to find a surgeon and there is no one who accepts this insurance, and I have to have a hip operation, but I am looking for a second opinion from an Orthopedic surgeon, and not They accept this insurance because they say they do not pay, with the drugs in the pharmacy I always have problems, the truth is that I do not understand. In a list of Insurance it appears as one of the best, and I have noticed that the surgeons that I have seen for my problem accept the worst Insurance that appears in the list of Insurance .. "I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS SYSTEM" ..
This company is the WORST!!!! I've had to call 3 times in two days because of misinformation!!!! One representative placed me on hold for over 10 minutes to only transfer me to someone else. I then had to give my daughter's information ALL over again!!! I'm over this company!!!

The transportation is terrible, the quality is terrible, they do not even give the hand to an old man to go down the stairs, they are not good for charging, they are the number but to give good bad service
I did not want to even give this company any stars. Simply transportation is by far the WORST! Their customer service representatives are rude, I got cut off by this young lady several times trying to explain situation to her. If you have have this medical insurance company I would suggest for you to consider changing to something else. The customer service representative simply need to be trained on how to speak to customers, how to speak English period, there is no form of professionalism among the drivers, and phone reps.
Unfortunately the service and professionalism that I have received from Simply Healthcare Insurance has been the worst that I have ever experienced in my ENTIRE life. I have been fighting with them for almost a month to get the approval for my medical treatment, which is causing me a great deal of pain. My provider, partner and I have all been calling for almost three weeks to get approval and have been given the run around in reference to the treatment. They continue to submit incorrect paperwork to my provider and refuse to correct it, stating there s notation in the system.
We were put on this plan becUse we hadn t selected a plan. It s horrible! Expect to not get the medications needed. They will say they need a preauthorization from the dr and then the insurance will never clear it. I had a prescription for qvar - 4 days of going back and forth and never got anywhere with them except for the run around. The.custoner service rep was really nice and helpful though. She felt bad for me. The next day - My daughter was in the er with the flu, went to Walgreens to get the tamaflu filled and the insurance company system was down . So when I got home, i called them- they were gone for the whole weekend! This company is not going to last and Magic Johnson as a spokesperson should be advised hat this company is a joke.
As a pharmacist you need not consider this insurance we at the independent pharmacy could tell you how we are treated if i am being paid less the cost of the medication that dispense to you .
how could i effectively provide the best service to you , if your pharmacist says a medication isn't available its sometimes because you insurance isn't paying enough to cover the cost of the medication . why loss money just say i do not have it in stock . now you are driving all over town looking for the medication but the reason sometimes its your insurance company payment rate that's too low or below cost.

Is the most ridiculous insurance. My daughter is both diabetic and epileptic. I went to fill her lancets Simple health said it was to soon. It is only 3 days early. She had no lancets to test her blood sugar. When she has a seizure her sugar could be to low or to high. If her blood sugar is to low she could go into a diabetic coma. And the pharmacist called into simply health. Explained the situation. The agent gave him a number for me to call. It was for a ballroom! You are dealing with my daughter life!

The worst MC insurance out there beware of this carrier, DO NOT USE THEM!! puts everything back on the patient to correct . Does not document calls and customer service reps refuse to give their last names. I have asked for reference #s of my calls and they state there are none to give. Just poor service and many denials for procedures received and now patient is left with bills.

I do not like. The website sends you to other websites that have problems. They don't recognize your password, even if you're perfectly sure of what it is, they call you waiting, then they promise you that they will call you back, but they never do. They offer benefits, but you cannot access them because it is impossible to communicate with them.
So I called to make an appointment for an agent to do a home visit in order to discuss what their plan offers as my father is looking to change his insurance company through Medicare. The telephone operator gives me an appointment time of 9 a.m. to noon. When I asked if the agent could call back in order to give a more specific appointment time as I cannot be at my father's house the entire morning I was told that's the appointment times that they give out. A 3-hour window. Thank God I actually looked online here to see all the horrible reviews and ratings they have so I can go about my day and call someone else.

This Healthcare Company is currently being managed by an CEO, Lourdes Tome Rivas day that has taken advantage of the personal affairs of an elderly man suffering with PD for many years. This company s executive has misused the resources of Simply Healthcare and personals to commit this utterly odious action on a defensive senior citizen. Authorities have been contacted on this company s executive. Hopefully this company realizes that it ethics will always be in question has long as this cloud looms over them.
My son has speech therapy twice a week, I use their transportation and the service is horrible. Im grateful for the services but why have a service and dont provide said services only sometimes? I don't have issues with Wednesday but every Thursday there's an issue. I'm late to his appointment every time and he loses time from his session or we have to see a different therapist than his regular therapist. I've waited outside for 15 or more mins in the Florida sun waiting for my rides that would never come. Rude representatives who dont understand what you're saying or dont care. They will hang up on you without even giving you a confirmation number! And then we I call they will say I didn't have a reservation even though on the phone they will say a ride is on the way. ....this review is because of the transportation only, simply is fine and I like their coverage but the transportation will make you miss appointments.....today my driver was late my sons session is only 30 mins long and he only got 15mins....and right now I've been current toy waiting for 3 hours to be picked up with my one year old son. I've called twice and they said twenty minutes, twice already...I'm going to be late to work. The rider I was with told me she had to wait 3 hours as well for pick up....this is inhumane.
Update again my ride for pick it up is over sn hour late and im going to be late for work again...saw a worker didnt even bother taking another client to their appointment because they took a few minutes getting out the house, the person had problems walking...most workers are on their phone talking the entire time....been waiting for them to pick up the phone since my ride is late again and been waiting for 15mins...this is after i had already called for a ride since my ride was late and this was 30 mins ago from calling a 2nd time
Update 1/30 theyre getting better with communicating and arriving on time.

Although their customer service is actually ok, the insurance company itself does not stand by it's advertisement. EVERY single specialist I called on their list does not accept this insurance, so they have an extensive list of specialists on their list but NONE accept this company. FALSE advertisement.
I am just now finding out a couple of things with this company that the public needs to be AWARE of. Their lack of defining exactly what you are buying and the exact benefits that you be will recieving (with anyone I talk to I always take notes to make sure of what I am being told or sold).. BE AWARE...I purchased a plan from Kathleen Baptiste supposed to be a licensed insurance agent with Simple Health Care.. the end of January this year for my plan to take effect 2-1-16. I was led to believe that my health discount would also include ( at no charge) life insurance..because when I initially put my down payment and this administration fee it was only defined as my health premium and dental premium..well to my findings when I had the money pulled out of my account the first month after that down payment there were actually 3 different withdraws out of my bank and that I was paying for..health..life insurance..and dental discounts...I was paying an additional $130.00 for life insurance -- that was told to me that was part of the package and there was no additional fees. Well there is. My husband went to a doctor to only have the doctor spend 5 minutes of his time to have a bill that WE HAD TO PAY of $231.00. The total bill was $271.00 which this discount health paid $50.00. They should have paid $189.70 (70%) plus the $50.00 and then we should have only paid $31.30. In addition to that, I was told initially from Kathleen Baptiste that I would receive 70% off of my health needs at doctor visits / hospital visits / and surgeries..NONE OF WHICH is true...WOW WHAT AN EXPERIENCE WITH A INSURANCE LICENSED PROFESSIONAL??? OR NOT??? AT THIS POINT I AM VERY DISTURBED ABOUT WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD AND WHAT I HAVE ACTUALLY RECEIVED. I have tried a few times to get back in touch with Kathleen Baptiste..but always told she is either not in or not available and doesn t return phone calls. How can you be in a sales position and not want to help your customers or call them back when message(s) are left.. After that experience I tried finding out what exactly my benefits the morning of March 9 and it took me several phone calls and redundant information and about 1 hour of my time to get nowhere.. I took off from work early to get some answers and was on the phone again about 1 1/2 hours trying to figure out who could help me and I was always forwarded to someone else..They told me that I could find it online...NO...and that they would email information. Then I started trying to cancel the life insurance...OH My..what an ordeal..spoke to several people again and then .I finally wound up with JM an asian accent male who I had to tell several times what I have discovered and to get clarity in what I wanted and to have him to understand. Very aggravating!!! I am all about customer service where I manage a vehicle repair shop and that is not at all how you HELP people or educate people on the product that people come to you expecting you to be the professional and YOU Kathleen baptiste and Simple Health Care are far from knowing your product, or you guys are scam artist(s) in telling people what they want to hear and letting them believe that they are buying something else when they are buying something that is NOT at all going to help them with their needs.
I don't know what all of you are saying. Simply is an excellent insurance. Never had a problem with hospital, ER, and with any PCP & specialist. To me the only thing wrong with Simply it's their transportation, you either get UBER or TA. Simply doesn't have their own transportation service.

Simply Medicaid has many doctors that are listed that do not accept this medicaid insurance.

The worst transport service is offered by this medical insurance, last Thursday 6th my grandparents over 80 years of age, both had to be picked up to take them to their regular consultation with the cardiologist, the transport had to arrive 8 in the morning and arrived at 8:50 saying that he feels it but that they did not fit in the car and could not take them and if he called for another to send that process it would last 1 hour more ... and that simple ... he left and left them. It's a shame they do things like this.
HORRIBLE is an understatement. All their providers on the site do not even accept this insuracne. Ive been looking for over 3 months for an OBGYN and have called every single doctor and non of them accept this insurance. Update your website please.

The transport that simply provides its medicare clients is useless, it is a lack of respect that they took me late to my appointment and that it took me 2.30 late to pick me up at the end I had to pick up a friendship. And it just says I'm sorry
I'm having artery issue on leg causing my foot not to get proper blood, they told me they will not cover anything in attempting to fix the artery which will save my foot, they will only cover amputation. 3rd world goverment programs are better then this heartless scum of a so called company
Simply Healthcare's transportation is not the most streamlined process. We scheduled a pick up at a certain time and it was confirmed for that particular time by the driver. The driver showed up 1:40 hrs later. We called and called the there was no empathy on their part. They kept saying that they would come to pick up the patient and did not show up. Miami traffic is a nightmare and things happen but the driver could have asked another driver in the area to do the pick up and drop off. The situation could have been handled better than what it was handled. There was a lack of urgency in trying to resolve the problem. They "simply" didn't care if they picked up the customer or not. The main concern here is that we are talking about a 70 year old, diabetic patient waiting on Simply's transportation to come pick up an elderly patient. In this situation, thank god there were no medical emergency but if something would have happen to an elderly patient waiting on the transportation. Please be careful with the transportation arranged by Simply, they are not the most reliable and when you speak with Customer Service they are not the most qualified either.
Warning do not use this insurance they're are good for nothing if you schedule an appointment used to Transportation expect to be out 1 hour late to your appointment and all you going to get it I'm sorry if I could give it less than 1 start I would

Think carefully before enrolling in the simply program and the dental affiliate: Dentaquest. Their participating physicians are extremely limited. Many listed no longer take this program. Dentaquest denies service for covered services. I filed an appeal and was successful, however after 8 months, I still have not received the service I requested. I will be leaving Simply more hmo in October.
They have helped me with so much, MY kids have the plans and i have never had and issue honestly.

Very few representatives are as they should be, and with the supervisor who speaks Juan G, it is just like them, it is a general mistreatment of the members, a situation for a medication that I took years ago after being 3 days calling to get it, One of the representatives sent me that if I did not have him go to the hospital, and still today Friday it has not been resolved and the supervisor-manager told me that I had to wait until Monday, that had never happened to me with this insurance, as if I were calling for a food, and not for a medicine to soothe a pain.

I am reading the reviews and noticing that reviewers seem to be confusing Simply Healthcare which handles Medicaid and Medicare clients with Simple Health plans which sells under 65 health plans. I do believe they are two unrelated companies.
I was signed up for in November but after a week of getting run around about seeing the general info I called to have it canceled on October 25 its November 2 and when I want to the store to get food for my 3 kids they want a head and took the money out plus more. When I called to find out why they said it was not cancel. Don't get them at all

To start with, after going through their online directory to look for a PCP, most of their Doctors listed and then calling them, they didn't accept the Simply plan. I had to find a PCP myself by going online.Also, I am appealing a denial for a surgery that I need, that Simply said that I don't because it doesn't affect my quality of life. My constant chronic pains are getting worse, sitting and resting are no relief, quite the opposite due to my S.I. Joint disease. So "Simply, I beg to differ". I am changing plans to another company who will cover the surgery.
genuinely a bad healthcare company. their website has doctors that don t work with simply healthcare anymore and simply always gives me a problem when i go to get my prescriptions. i need my medicine and it seems like i always need to call the bad customer service line that simply healthcare has to fix an issue. please steer clear from simply healthcare.

I wish there were no stars because that is what their transportation department deserves. Today I am shopping for a new insurance plan. I rely on transportation and their department cannot seem to get it together. They are liars and constantly leave their patients waiting to be picked up. I had to cancel one of my dr's appointment because they didn't show up and when you call to complain, they are nasty and continue with their lies. Bye Simply Healthcare!
