Really enjoyed my stay here, hostel was very hipster, loved the interior and amenities with comfy and spacious capsule-style bunk beds. Staff was really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location was amazing, loved Shinsekai and its retro vibe, lots of restaurants around and Tsutenkaku tower just around the corner.

Truly a home away from home... you might not want to leave! Having spent 10 days here, this is what I have to say: + Very cozy, homely and original interior. colorful, soothing, latin influenced yet japanese efficiency + The staff is extremely helpful, professional and amicable at the same time, a nice personality, authentic and relaxed vibe. + Very clean + Rooms are cleverly compact, clean, cozy + Perfect mix of privacy and socializing. + a true sense of calm and peace + rooftop access + has everything you need, you can get towels and washing machine (for a small fee) + living area has a record collection, and people can be the DJ with the available laptop. + residing on the corner of a very lively, authentic and charming neighbourhood. Easy to find a peaceful area and to go find life at the same time. Authentic stores, restaurants big and small, izakaya's, everything less than a minute away + likely to meet people from everywhere around the world. Seems to attract soul-searching individuals. + Tsutenkaku tower right there in view! + a few minutes away from several metro stations + close to a park + hearing the history behind the name explained by Saki is just wonderful. + very safe area even if this area is considered the most dangerous place in Japan. You just might see some weirdo's but this makes it all the more authentic. + it has one of those fancy japanese toilets! + oh yeah and there is a slide! from the upper floor to the living area :D with all of this in mind the 23 euros/25 dollars per night is a steal!.

Even though it's situated inside the Shinsekai district, it's off to the side so it's very quiet. The lobby and cafe space acts as a record store, always good tunes playing. Staff were friendly, bunks are private and air-conditioned. Loved my stay here.

A wonderful, cool, comfy place to stay whilst in Osaka! Close to everything (trains, restaurants, Spa World!) but nice and quiet in the rooms, a lovely little cafe/bar downstairs with friendly staff, and cosy, clean, beautifully presented rooms. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Osaka. Thanks for a great stay!

The atmosphere in the store is great. The slide is interesting! It was good that the owners and staff were friendly and easy to talk to me in various ways! ^ _ ^ There is a box with a key in the bed, and you can put in a shoulder bag or the like.

Very fun space to hang out, both locals and travelers alike. The Pax is a hostel and cafe. I don't know what it's like to stay as a guest, but as a resident of Osaka, I enjoy coming here to eat and relax. What a great space, from the records and seating. There is a second floor loft, from which you can slide down. Amazing! But do be careful. I ordered the banh mi for lunch and I loved it! I also went to a Korean BBQ party one time, it was a lot of fun. I look forward to coming to The Pax again.

To simply say this hostel is nice, would do it no justice. The PAX, is the absolute reference of what and how a hostel should be. Its professional staff, amazing interior, great coffee and mesmerizing atmosphere is a unique experience that absolutely everyone traveling in Japan should at least experience once. Be prepared to fall in love! "10/10" "Raises the bar for hostels, WORLDWIDE"

A hidden gem of a hostel in Osaka. Colorful and cozy with friendly staff. It has its own vibe unlike most other modern hostels these days. Good music and good food all in the middle of a laid-back neighborhood with lots of local places to eat and/or party.

PAX stands out as one of my very best and most memorable stays in Japan. The hip yet warm character of the hostel and the genuine friendliness of the staff creates an environment like no other and is conducive to many a spontaneous conversation with the other guests and staff alike. The neighborhood of Shinsekai and its many bars and restaurants have an interesting history and unique charm (ask the staff for amazing food recommendations). The hostel itself is situated almost directly beneath Tsutenkaku Tower - this makes it impossible to get lost! I had a decent night's sleep in the dorms; they will make the bed and sheets for you, which is often not the case in many other hostels. Earplugs are also provided, free of charge. The security box is sizeable and will fit a 15" laptop and more. There are no elevators, though, if that is a concern. My stay at PAX was an unexpected highlight of the Osaka leg of my adventure. Hope to be back soon!

Great coffee, lovely atmosphere. Jazz is gently played in the background with a good mixture of locals and guests staying at the hostel present. Vinyl can be purchased here. English-friendly.

I used a cafe. In the store where the theater company has been renovated, Very cozy in an open space. There are many foreigners coming Is it because a guest house is attached? As it is a little away from the bustling area around Tsutenkaku, It is recommended for those who want to calm down a little.

Guesthouse & Cafe Isin's design is also made performing art. Uniquely decorated, it's warm and it's fun with slides and scraps. There are loft seats. The cafe ordered a bain me. It was hearty and delicious. Impression that there are backpackers and foreigners too. Because it is close to the New World market, I think it is perfect for people who do not enjoy Tsutenkaku and its neighborhood.

Great hostel, best vibe of my stay in Japan so far. Location whilst at the fringe of walking distance to Dontonbori I actually found the activity and nightlife of the surrounding streets to be more fun and more off the radar. Best coffee I ve had in Japan so far and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka. Dorm beds slightly noisier than premium capsule hostels but they supply free ear plugs and the atmosphere is far more fun than I ve had in more private dorms.

This unique place is one of the best lodging I ve stayed at, anywhere in the world. Staffs were super nice and helpful, especially Hanakochan being exceptionally friendly, courteous and willing to help with anything! Being located a stone throw away from Tsutenkaku Tower, it s close to the spots, if lil far from Namba/Dotonbori area most of the people would hang out. The only downside would be the faint odor around the premise, maybe because of being a dormitory style lodging. However, it was more than reasonably clean and everything throughout the whole place. They even have a cozy rooftop area where you can smoke/chill - wish they utilize more with a deck and maybe BBQ area or something. All in all, I d live here if I could :)

Absolutely fell in love with this place! Wonderful ambiance that made it a pleasure to roll out of bed every morning. They provide cheap laundry services, towels, and the cafe, and the crowd of travelers who stay here are all nice!! Had fun staying up until the wee hours of the morning spinning Jazz records. Very central location with a lot going on around it, but laid back atmosphere inside.
