Double check your reservation in advance... Booked a 2 bedroom for 3 people and when we checked in they changed our room type to 1 King bed and had no solution for us. Unacceptable for our 19 year old son to have to sleep on the floor of a supposed 5-star hotel.

The location is great... But the rooms are so stuffy and I had the worst dirty martini I've ever had in the vault bar. Didn't get a chance to make it up to the roof bar... Maybe the bartender up there may have done better.

Great boutique hotel. Older building that has kept its sole. Parking stinks house thr valet service. Nice club level. Cool good roof top bar, limited eating options on property but loads in walking distance.

My friend took me to the Sheraton's Rooftop bar for a glass of wine. It was nice to look out at the Columbia skyline. I wasn't impressed by the meatballs that I ordered. They were dry and lacked flavor.

If all you want is a bed and shower, this hotel is fine; the rooms were well-appointed, including a TV in the bathroom (if you're into that kind of thing, personally, I'm never going to touch a remote that lives in the bathroom). However, if you are into atmosphere, then you may be disappointed that the hotel is an older building with cramped spaces and a very dated look. I'm mostly a bed-and-shower kind of guy, so that didn't bother me. My major complaint was that my breakfast options consisted of a restaurant, where my colleague told us she received a distinctly chilly greeting of "we are serving rooms at this time", or a Starbucks in the basement, where you are in line with everyone else in the radius who wants Starbucks.

Cool, historic building turned into a hotel. Great location. Rooms nice sized and well appointed. Fabulously comfy bedding and real down pillows (I hate those foam ones). Lov d both the roof deck bar and the one off the lobby housed inside what used to be a bank vault. Great vibe in the downstairs one. Got a great deal on this hotel off Hotwire. Well worth it. Only reason I don t give them 5 stars is because the door knob on my room was half falling off and late one night I wanted to get my car which I had valet parked. I was told the valet had gone home and they couldn t find my car keys. Huh?

Looks very nice, but this stay was the definition of looks can be deceiving. Hot water runs you both handles of the bathroom sink faucet (every had to brush your teeth with hot water). Shower takes 15min+ to heat up. Hot for the shower handle is exactly halfway between "hot" and "cold" as depicted on the wall plate. All the way to "hot" is actually cold. There is a 1.5" gap below the room door making it impossible to sleep as EVERY noise comes straight through, got absolutely zero sleep last night. Room 509 is adjacent to the laundry chute so a nap during the day was also not possible due to constant use by housekeeping. Upon checkout, the clerk did not ask how our stay was. Final nail in the coffin.

The hotel overall was ok but they re customer service sucks. I was charged twice for a room and it took me almost a month to get refunded. I live 3 1/2 hours away from the hotel and I literally had to come back to the hotel to get refunded because the staff there would not get back to me after numerous calls. To top everything off the only thing the manager did when I finally spoke to her was offer a very insincere apology after all of their mishaps on their behalf. I would not recommend this hotel it is not worth the drama.

Sadly, this hotel has really gone down hill. Dirty, frayed carpets, lampshades with burn marks, broken window shades, dirty windows, scratched up furniture with holes in the seats. Dead bugs in the bathroom light. Very disappointed. Not what you expect from a Sheraton. The location is great, but this place is in dire need of a makeover.

For the price of Club level I expected the room to be bigger with more amenities. Also the parking SUCKS you have to walk a block or so to a $12 parking deck and the hotel charges $22 per day for valet.. Horrible !

This used to be one of my favorite hotels to stay at when visiting. Unfortunately, this particular Sheraton seems more and more run down every time I visit. The staff are friendly. However, you can't tell when the dining room is open. Even during open hours, it's a ghost town with little to no staff. I've never been able to order food in there. The menus are all marked up and need to be redone. Everything else just needs a little shine. The price for a room doesn't reflect the quality you feel when visiting.

The hotel is an historic bank turned into hotel. It was very clean. It had original, old feel. The bed was very comfortable. It seemed to be under staffed. The valet was also the bell man. My car was left unattended with my keys in it while he brought up my bags. The front desk was unavailable most of the time maybe due to festivities and they were always outside. The housekeeper left my room unattended with door open and no where to be found when I came back. I am not sure if they were prepared for the huge crowd that stayed. But the staff was apologetic and sincere. It may be a better experience when there are no events going on.

Very nice Sheraton in the heart of downtown Columbia. The hotel has great character, the rooms are nice and the personnel are extremely personable and pleasant. There is a great Starbucks in the basement level that has a cool, speakeasy kind of vibe. The Vault bar needs to step up its game with regard to wine : there was a sign outside that advertised 90+ ratings on their wines. The selection was absolutely horrible. The hotel, however, is within walking distance to some great bars /restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if my travels bring me to Columbia.

Absolutely wonder place to stay the bed was wonderful with nice full pillows the view of downtown was great. The room has a urban loft feel with original hardwood floors and subway tile in the large bathroom - we had a 5 foot shower room with a tv in the bathroom
- tv in the main room was large and crystal clear
- bit of a walk for parking garage, recommend you use the valet. Either way there is a parking fee.
Having stayed in many hotels across the country this one stands out as unique and wonderful.

In the heart of downtown Columbia, we found this hotel to be very clean, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Bed was super comfortable, even for my husband who is a very big guy. We paid a brief visit to the rooftop lounge - which had a spectacular view of the city! Our busy trip didn't allow us time to see the "vault" or enjoy the breakfast. But we would definitely stay here again when visiting Columbia!

No fridge or microwave. No where to park. Pay everywhere since it's downtown. They don't even offer a parking pass. I can't understand this. The beds are nice. The restaurants are nice but the parking is a headache.

Over all my stay at the Sheraton was ok. The hotel is nice but the a little dated. The food was mediocre are best and extremely over priced. The bed was horrible and really needs to be replaced. I did a survey online and got a quick response saying that the manager would get with facilities in order to address the issue of the bed, but honestly I am not confident that it will be addressed.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, particularly the guy that worked at the front desk, Dominic. I called and booked the hotel at the last minute, and he was super helpful and super nice on the phone. When I arrived he was friendly very nice and professional. Dominic made sure that all my questions were answer and that I understood where parking and area restaurants were. Dominic represented the hotel brand well. I only wish that every hotel I stay at in the future has a person like Dominic to take care of their customers.

I would recommend many other places than this property, and I am partial to Starwoods properties. First, very outdated hotel. Floor creeks, blinds don't close, tv channels didn't work, etc. I went to the restaurant and although NO ONE else was eating there (should've been a first sign), it took 20 minutes for someone to come and get my order, and another 25 minutes for the food to come out. And the waitress was not attentive, pleasant, or anything.. And again, there was no one else in there. Positives are only that the room was comfortable, decent gym, and the rooftop bar is nice (albeit drinks way overpriced). All in all, highly doubt I would stay there again.
