An old hotel with comfy beds and nothing else special besides that. A bit dirty and breakfast was lacking fresh food. Also, the bathroom door is glass so if someone uses the restroom, it lights up the room like a Christmas tree. You're better off staying at the Marriott next door.
Warm and welcoming staff and a great antique ambiance. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view and yummy drinks!

The hotel was okay. They originally gave us a room that needed cleaning. The coffee maker did not work either. Okay but nothing special.
They except large dogs. Staff was very accomodating.

The room was fantastic. Bathroom was a little tight but that's what you get in an old, historic building.
Room was not properly cleaned toilet seat wiped off brown when I cleaned it with lysol main light bulb was out carpet old worn nasty room was small trash cans had preexisting trash still in them. This is a OLD hotel in much need of renovation

Some friends and I went for some drinks at the Rooftop Bar. We had a great time and the view of Columbia is awesome! I've been before but always enjoy the view.
I am in loooove with the vault, and really all the restaurants in the hotel. They're amazingly delicious, and they have the best customer service!

The hotel is in an old historic building and has the potential to be amazing. The fact that it has not met that potential is due to poor management. The club level upgrade gain member access to a 'high school teachers lounge' equipped with an assortment of sodas and very light snacks. The very cool bar in the bank vault, as well as the roof top bar, were tired and in need of remodel. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable. With a little work, this hotel could be a gem. But it is not in its current state. Get the work Sheraton HQ!
This is my favorite place to go for coffee. I love the downstairs location - it is spacious and relaxing. The top bar is also a great place to see a new view of Columbia

Went here for a drink at the rooftop bar with a friend . The bar provides an excellent view of the city.
Good location but dated (run-down, not in a cool historic kind of way). Shower had no hot water, toilet paper and tissue paper were basically 1 ply sandpaper. Towels didn't smell clean. Coffee maker in room but no coffee provided. Not sure if they normally have a continental breakfast but they didn't the morning we were there. Will try somewhere else next time I'm in Columbia.

Charges 22 bucks for valet, yet does not inform customers of parking scenarios..so if you park i fron of the hotel you get towed according to rep who insisted i pay for parking or i will get towed. She was not very helpful at all. Other option is to pay 12 for parking at the Marriott another hotel lmao really! Smh never again! O btw $35 more for a fridge!!!! Worst experience in my life!!! Go to Marriott or Hilton trust me

Jenny and Jahvasha was a lot of help, I had an leg injury and Jenny place me in a room close to the elevator to shorten the walking distance i had to walk everyday. Jahvasha help me every day she's on site. She took my keys to valet, She check to see if I'm doing alright. They had some outstanding employees there, Thank you all.
Great modern looking rooms, awesome gym equipment, top notch bars (especially the rooftop), Starbucks in the same building and friendly staff! This is the only place I'll stay in Columbia when travelling for business - my only complaint is that the bar can be a little pricey.
Unlike some of the posts I've read in other places, I found the Sheraton to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely stay there when I come back!
Most of the downtown hotel are one of the best hotels I have ever walked into and the Sheraton being towards the top of most beautiful hotels.

We visited the rooftop bar at the Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel to show a visiting family member a view of the city. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the bar was very busy. Everything was nice and clean.
The rooftop bar is an awesome venue and the bartenders are great!
I visited this location on 8/21/2018 for the OTRII concert. I arrived at 5:30p to check in and was told that there would be a 45 minute to 1hr wait because my room was not ready. I was told that my name and number would be added to a list and I would be contacted when my room became available. There were easily 30 other people who were also waiting. We were told that 75 rooms were being cleaned after a group checked out late and that it had been difficult to clean 75 rooms in 2 hrs (1p until 3p).
Staff was not rude and they attempted to be as accommodating as possible. After an hour, we were provided an upgraded room and breskfast. This accommodation was greatly appreciated, but monetary accommodations would have been better, as rates may have been inflated for this event.
We learned later that crew from the OTRII tour stayed at this location and were more than likely the people in the 75 rooms who checked out late. The hotel was clean and centrally located; however, I think that management should have been better prepared for this event. After driving several hours and arriving 2.5 hrs after check in, the last thing you want hear is that there is an hour wait for a room you reserved 4 months ago.
The hotel is in an old bank so the rooms are odd shaped in a cool way. The bathrooms are not small but on the smaller side. The firnishings are modem and nice. The TV does not stream Netflix but all channels are HD. . The Vault Bar which is in the old vault is small but cool. The big negative for me was the hotel restaurant, POSH. I should have known when no one was in the restaurant. The food is average or below average. On the positive side the wait staff was very nice. They did say they are getting a new menu. I am not sure if that will help or not. One last thing. Their self park is a huge pain in the rear because the lot is not connected to thier building. So if you need to save $10 self park but valet is the better way to go. If the food would have been better, I would have probably gone 5 stars, but then again no Netflix in the TV may have stopped me.

This is a very cool location. It is underground yet has windows towards the roof that let outside light in. This said, the staff ise to be better. Drinks, such as the white chocolate mocha and caramel macchiato were once fully mixed so that the ingredients (syrups) did not settle on the bottom. Now it seems that the drink is lazily prepared as the ingredients are stuck to the bottom of the cup. The outside seating area is nice and has a good view; the inside seating area is comfortable as well.
The shop is clean and is occasionally busy l, but seating is easy to find in the afternoon.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Fitness room is small but does the job (has dumbbells). Location is decent, about a 10 minute walk to The Vista area of bars and shops. The Club Lounge is sometimes not well-stacked but it was free so I can't complain.
I booked a room for the night at the Sheraton in downtown Columbia. The arrival and check in were great. When I got to my room I sat down in a chair close to the bathroom. From the chair I could see multiple hairs on the bathroom floor. From in the bathroom you could see many more. At least 9-10. There also was a used bubble gum wrapper on the floor. We simply requested another room, which was fine. We went downstairs to the vault bar and had a drink each. My wife was given a glass with lipstick still on it! On top of that two titos vodka drinks totaled $27. I was pretty disappointed with my stay at Sheraton downtown Columbia.
Great location in the middle of downtown. Shopping, restaurants, and the museum of art are all close by.

The staff very nice. We ate in at the ed hotel restaurant. It was late, we expected blend food but not the case. Try the grits with shrimp. Staff really go above and beyond. We came back just for fun, we loved it

Not the cleanest place but has great bones. Rooms are okay. Biggest thing is the homeless people out front yelling profanity at you constantly when you walk out. Probably will not return.
OMG, this place is amazing! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smiling face. The rooftop lounge offers amazing views of downtown Columbia. The Vault is also a great place to grab a drink and relax. I would definitely stay here again. The room was clean and I loved the bathroom. Who doesn't like a TV in the bathroom while you're getting ready for work?!

Very clean. Felt safe. Great staff! All of them treated my children with respect and we were always greeted upon arrival. Room was a little small. Would recommend to others.
The hotel is in a great location downtown. It is the quaintest place, old wood and lots of turn of the century charm. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms and common areas are clean and maintained. All these complaints about small rooms and upkeep are unfair. It is over 100 years old and is very well maintained!
I wanted to give kudos to both Adrian new and Dorian. When I 1st arrived, they greeted us very professionally and with a sense of humor. What more can you ask? They went above and beyond my expectations. They found rooms almost next to each. The rooms are nice and you cannot hear anything nor anyone from the outside. It's a gem of a place and Sheraton is lucky to have Adrienne and Dorian.

We Arrived late afternoon for a two day stay. The toilet wouldn t flush in the room, We were given a new room. Iron was broken (we asked for a new one and were told it would be in he room when we came back, it wasn t), shower gets luke warm at best, and no housekeeping came to change sheets or towels and empty the trash. Location and beds/pillows were great but that s about it. It must be a Sheraton policy to not clean rooms and check accessories (irons, etc) because this is the third Sheraton we have stayed at that had the EXACT same issues!
Impeccable hotel. Loved the vault restaurant, Starbucks onsite and rooftop bar and lounge. Clean room, tv in bathroom, tall luxury shower, plush king size bed, polite customer service. We loved the old and new modern elegance mixed together. Vallet car service with RayRay, he was so courteous and funny. You will hear alot of city street noise but we actually enjoyed it. We were looking for an experience in the city and picked the perfect spot. Thank you again, we loved it.
Beautiful 105 year old exterior. Run down and beat up interior. Scuffed up elevatores and walls along with dirty carpets. Not typical of a SPY property. Very disappointing.
Love this place. Connor, the up-front attendant is always on his A-Game and proactive on making sure our stay is comfortable.
It's old and charming with a Vault as a bar in the lobby. But the floors creak, my light switch would not shut off, and the blinds would not go all the way down. Then the train at 6am, felt like I was in the movie Cousin Vinny. I'm a loyal platinum SPG member, but without ambien and an eye mask, I don't know if I'll be back.
Great hotel!!! They have awesome staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and great location. If you do stay here just be careful with the upgrade because it comes with a lot of taxes and one was over $150. Before we came to this hotel we called and asked will it be additional charges to our bill other than parking. The person at the desk told us no, unfortunately that was not the truth. One staff will tell you one price and another one tell you a $20 difference. This hotel was better than others I visit. Employees will speak to you every single time and call you after check in to make sure everything is to your liking.
It's not bad by any means, but dont expect it to knock you out of the ball park. The view is alright unless you get a room with a weird window, for some reason my bedside window was curvy like a circus mirror and when trying to look outside it hurt my head. The bathroom is a godsend though and it was so nice after the drive to just sit down and relax. Beds are comfy and they're super up to date with tech and make up for the bad signal with exceptionally good wifi. Overall would stay again and it felt homey but dont expect anything crazy, the vault was cool though
No hot water. Booked on points and they charged me $500+ and Dominic hung up on me when called to ask about it.
