i called to this company saying that I have a collection of $120 with Crunch fitness I have told them this is a mistake and I dispute it and it s not mine. Today I see a derogatory mark on my credit. At this point I m taking this very personal and I will have my lawyer contact you. This is outrageous!!!!!!!!

First Credit Services has been providing us with collection services for about 5 years now as we own 3 Retro Fitness Gyms. I primarily work with Jessica and Prerna and they are always professional and super helpful, excellent customer service! Also, as importantly, they are excellent at collecting otherwise "lost revenue" for our businesses. GREAT SERVICE, MUCH APPRECIATED, THANKS FIRST CREDIT!
Horrible experience. When I was asking about different methods of payment and also questioning the validity of my debt. The manager (or employee) by the name of Nick kept asking me if I was trying to avoid paying. Then after having a spat with me over the phone, I asked to dispute the claim of debt. The man by the name of Nick stated "It doesn't matter if you dispute it, you'll still be paying". So basically the option to dispute is actually not there. They also have no valid amount of debt. If you had to pay 160, they might pull some percentage out and say we'll make it 130 or possibly even less for you today. If you argue with them, they'll say some bs like "oh this offer has now expired" and tell you to pay the full amount again. I repeat, terrible service and horrible experience. This credit service is not based on facts but the attitude of the employee you get and whether they feel like giving you a deal.
I just received a phone call from this company about a gym membership that I have not signed up for. The guy on the phone just told me that "if you don't pay then it will get sent to collections." Then he said that the gym double verifies that the information they sent over is correct but he couldn't tell me how they double verify. I asked if he could give me a number for the gym to call and he said no, then said that if I called it didn't matter because they had all the information now.

Actually wasn't that bad for a collections agency. The floor supervisor we spoke with, Archie, was very helpful in offering information and appropriate resolutions in getting to the bottom of everything.
Do not pay this scam collection company. I ve tried to resolve a problem with crunch fitness, Disputing $993. The debt is 4 1/2 years old, in which I left the state and canceled my membership, only attending 3 times. I can t tell you how many times I ve called and talk to someone, they dispute and take the collection off of my credit reporting. Statue of limitation, They have to take it off. And they have to by law send you a letter which they never have. If you make one payment then it starts it right from the beginning so never give them a dime. Deal with Trans Union and Equifax
An account I had with a gym was sent to this company for collections. I contacted the gym the same day I got a notice that this was appearing on my credit report. The gym stated that they realized my account was assigned to collections in error as they did in fact have a copy of my cancellation on file but it had not been processed properly on their end. The gym sent me proof via email that they had my cancellation on file, that this was sent on accident, and that they have pulled this account from First Credit Services. I contacted First Credit services on 10/23/18 as they are still appearing on my credit report and spoke with Mabel Rodriguez who stated I need to contact the original creditor as they no longer have this account. I explained to her the original creditor is not the one reporting this to the credit bureaus, but that First Credit Services is reporting it. She eventually transferred me to her supervisor Edwin who said they will still be reporting this for up to 30 days. I questioned how he could report an account if they no longer had it with them in their system. He asked me what I wanted him to do and I explained I would like the listing removed immediately. He said again it will take up to 30 days. When I questioned how this can negatively affect me for 30 more days even though they no longer have an account for me to be reporting he said he cannot speak to that. I asked for the mailing address to send a formal dispute and he hung up on me. This company is reporting an account that no longer exists. If this listing is not removed immediately I will be getting my legal team involved.
First Credit Services Inc reports you to the credit bureau in 30 days even while you are trying to negotiate or resolve issues with your gym. Their staff is rude and not very knowledgeable. I have had to file reports with the NJ Attorney General's Office and the FTC for unfair business practices. They are unprofessional and are ill mannered.
Totally a scam caller! The phone number they used was from Columbus, Georgia. Missed this call twice so I decided to call back just to make sure it wasn t legit. First you are greeted with a robot that sounds pretty official, but almost immediately some guy from Indian picks up the line. Don t be fooled by this!
This company does not have any customer related skills at all. I was working on paying them, told them I was dealing with the VA and would call them once I was reimbursed (I explained I could not pay them at the current time). Repeated calls throughout the work day for weeks! Even within a couple of hours of me just telling them not to call. I understand they are collecting money as a job, but there was only scripted "I understand sir, we are sorry sir,..." Even when that response didn't make sense to what I was saying haha! As soon as I called them to pay, all of the scripted niceties went away, and straight to, "ok, so you can make this payment in full...". If I didn't NEED to make the payment for work related reasons, I'd have stiffed them for being obnoxious and inconsiderate. Make sure you tell them NOT TO CALL YOU, and that YOU will make contact. Otherwise they will blow up your phone. Good luck!
I had an issue with an account that I had with a gym membership. My account was transferred over to First Credit Services and they tried charging me for the full length of the contract, even though there were still 30 months left on it. I asked Vinay (the reps name) "how can I pay for services that aren't even rendered yet? There's obviously a mistake that needs to be corrected" His response was in a tone that was rude, snub, and demeaning. He asked me "How can a company can only submit the full amount of the money owed and not partial (which I can see possible)" He also told me not to contact the company that submitted the report. I asked why and he said because they can't do anything about it and I need to pay the $1,000 to First Credit Services. I contacted the gym and was able to rectify the mistake, that Vinay from First Credit Services falsely stated I couldn't.
Policy is that they can not discuss information with a minor. However, I have not been a minor for several years. Since the account was opened by me when I was only 16 they need to speak to a legal guardian. It s a slap in the face how they show up on my credit report but can t discuss the account under my name with me, cause I was a minor when signed up for a gym membership at 16 years old.
Aksed a bunch of personal information that is not required and doesn't help at all. Customer service people at the phone are from out of Country and doesn't speak English very well, making it difficult to understand them. They use pre-printed scripts to talk, I could hardly understand them. Probably they are a call center in India, known for scamming people.
Keeping asking for my receipt of payment by email and get the run around each time. Is this company legal? I paid my debt but yet they stuck this information on my account and then also did not send me a receipt.
Horrific customer service experience on the phone. I was transferred to a supervisor instead of being helped. I was never rude or irate, as the associate and supervisor were to me. Instead of being professional and calm, like me, he told me to write to the company to complain. I have disputed the situation, and I look forward to never needing to speak to First Credit Services again. They are the most horrific and hateful business that I have ever had the immense displeasure of dealing with.
Very bad and unethical organization. There are so many comments here about how they charge you 150 dollar fee for a cancelled gym membership. This is after i went to the gym and emailed them. I will be taking legal action against this company and the gym.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They seem unable to carry out any agreements they make. I attempted to make a payment directly from both of my banks. They were unable to withdraw the money, although it was in the bank. They insist on a credit card. I agreed to make a payment with a money order, once they sent me a bill in the mail. They have agreed to send said bill on several occasions. I still have not received it. Most of the operators calling me are difficult to understand, and at least one is very rude. The only reason they are getting even one star is because not checking it isn't an option

I was able to pay off my debt pretty easily. The customer service isnt the best but there was no hassle and it got done quickly. The payment went off my card immediately. I wasnt 100% comfortable giving my card info but it had to be done
I wouldn t give this place any stars because The customer service was horrible. They are really bad at communicating. My collection fee was $800 and when I signed to the gym membership I was only 17 at the time and I explain to them that I didn t put any Credit card information or social. And I kept asking them how are they going to take the money away if I didn t put any information, and they couldn t answer the question. It s sad!!! Horrible company. Don t bother talking to anyone in that company.
Listen, this is a total scam, don t believe anything they tell you. They are a bunch of pathetic liars looking to steal information from you. Don t fall for it. CONTACT your gym and they will let you know the ACTUAL number you need to contact.

I had received a letter from this company pertaining to an old gym membership I had started when I was underage. I had spoken to a few people on the phone about the debt and they said they could not disclose any information since I was underage at the time, and that they have to speak to my parents. Since they are coming after me for a debt I told them they can talk with me about this, and that I was trying to pay it online several times but their site was not working. After this they had told me to ignore the letter and that they would contact the gym about it. I asked for some form of this statement in writing in order to protect myself, which they had refused to do. Telling me that sending a letter would take a few weeks and that they aren't allowed to send emails.
I do not understand how they can come after someone for a debt, and then tell them that they are unable to speak to them about it. If you are trying to collect a debt from someone then you talk with that person, there is no reason to talk with anyone else, and by reading the other comments, I am not the only one who faced this issue.
These people are awful! Harrassment non stop over a gym membership that was canceled and not owed money by me to Retro Fitness. I tried to sort it out with them letting them know there is no balance, they are still trying to get me to pay $107 on what was only a $24 membership fee. Then i sent in a written letter per their instructions to dispute the claim, never heard back from them again, and I still have the account in collections on my credit report. I hate this company. Very unprofessional scum.
This company harasses me repeatedly from multiple phone numbers throughout the day, even after I told them to stop calling me. They also keep telling me that I owe them money and haven't been paying which is completely untrue because I have a debt management company that pays them for me that they set up an agreement with. This company is absolutely horrible and they outsource their calling to India.

I owed money to anytime fitness, they owned the debt. I called, I paid, it was very simple and painless. Did not like using my card over the phone but it turned out ok. No one was rude and it was quick and simple. You owe, you pay. Problem sovled.
Don't pay these people. You do not owe them anything dispute the credit mark and contact a lawyer asap. Spoke with a gentleman name Harshad, I was so hesitant giving my card for payment and he understood and gave me options with my bank to feel secure about future payments not allowed being drafted. His customer service was very respectful and professional! I owned up to this debt as I know it was my fault for not cancelling my gym membership correctly. Thank you for the easy process of getting this taken care of and off my credit.
THEY CALL ASKING FOR INFORMATION. SCAM. They tried getting ahold of my spouse asking if he had power of attorney over me and if he could give them information. He Immediately refused and hung up with them. Normal agencies don't call you about your credit or anything pertaining to your credit. its your job to call them. (as in an actual credited dispute agency) to dispute it. DONT FALL FOR THE SCAMS!
Received a letter from them that I owe 447 dollars from a gym membership. Called them up to dispute the transaction, customer service is terrible. He asked me to mail a proof that my gym membership was canceled. He said he has no email address this is a scam!

Any high review of this company is from a 'paid reviewer' trying to give the company a reputation bump for a fee.
Also, a bit of advice - NEVER pay a collection and always contest it with credit bureaus. I've had collection letters sent to me that were intended for someone with my same name two cities away. That debt was removed from my report. Paying a collection for yourself (or somone else to make collections go away) does not benefit your credit score at all.
I think these collection agencies should check their info first before contacting people. received a call asking how I should pay off a debt. He asked my name, I told him. When he stated the address, I told him not my address. Problem being, my son has the same name as I do. I'm the Senior and he is the junior..Maybe they should start asking, this might prevent me from hanging up abruptly. Senior, not Junior
After I took care of the bet by a third party this company still added negative feedback on my credit report so i called them to hear after being transfered to foir different ppl that i have to send a letter to the credit union to correct wgen it was there error

Tried to make a payment toward a gym bill and the man Ronjin or whatever his name was acted like my 50 dollar payment wasn't good enough! Well now you don't get . Horrible customer service and not willing to listen to the customer.
