Wish they would put up the tables for when they are holding a show on the terrace by the pool. All the open umbrellas and seating really took away a lot of viewing/floor space.
Buttttt the light design set up is pretty cool. Went for Champagne Drip in the Indoor Club and it was a good time. Smaller then expected but made it a more intimate show.
****Please Be Aware***** The gulf tower is the absolute worst place to stay ever if you actually want to sleep at night. The nightclub music is so loud as the bass pours through the paper thin walls. It's absolutely ridiculous and no one at the desk cares. The staff is extremely friendly, but not relaxing at night at all. Please note the walls are worse than paper and the front desk doesn't care.
It was great.....the beach had pretty clear water and the water was warm....
Bought bottle service for my friends birthday and the wonderful staff accommodated our party. Fun times

I mostly have been here at night on Sundays, its probably the best scene around, that I know off, mostly EDM and hiphop or whatever the DJ feels like playing that day. Drinks are very cheap on Sundays and you are right in front of the beach with a great breeze coming in. Good crowd too, sometimes you get the usual drunk assh*le but in general its always good times.
The staff are rude and not very accommodating at all ,I've never seen a location where it hurtsthere feelings to help you ,the check in clerk was at a computer on the other side of room looking at makeup on line and acted like it hurt her feelings to help guest ,they give our room to new guest while we where staying in it so at 11pm at night we get a call from 15 and 9 year old neices scared to death cause group of strangers came into the room while she was there alone ,most of the valet service is great on our last day there the manager of valet wouldn't accept the picture of the valet ticket ( how do they expect you to keep up with 1inx1in peice of paper for 7days )that I had used for the past five days up to this point and wouldn't turn over the keys to the car after he brought it down to me , it could be a really nice place other wise .
It was a very nice resort. They had a private section on the beach which was nice if you have small children or just really like avoiding most of the public. The room was clean, looked nice, and was spacious with two beds, a bath, and a kitchen. However, most of the pillows were very flat. I would visit again, but I'd probably bring my own pillow.

The nightlife hotspot in Clearwater Beach. They have several bars outside and inside, along with their own beach area. An outdoor stage that hosts bands and DJs to keep the crowd happy. They make great Rum Buckets too. It's also connected with the Wave nightclub witch is a hit or miss depending on the circumstances.
The hotel is just tired and worn down. Way too noisy late at night. The all-you-can-eat buffet is far from spectacular.
I've been a long time patron even longer pre remodel and everything was always great and at reasonable price. Even had our wedding reception there in 2007. Was perfect as usual.
A friend and family from California have waited a long time to revisit me and the whole wait they were excited about visiting Shephards. What a broken heart they experienced on our visit. Price has shattered all desire to return! $36.95 for buffet is way too much. Now crab legs are no longer on the line and NOT included. Crab will cost $10.00 more now. Price $46.95 plus tax. Sorry not worth it. Visiting the prime rib station, ask and they cut it. The serving is no larger than 2 slices of Publix deli roast beef. Ask for more and the carver says he can't. Management's choice for size portion served. Stated just come back for more. How can I and my party enjoy our time together eating if every few minutes we are back for another slice. It's just not worth it. I am no longer a fan nor will I be a patron. Hopefully tomorrows travels will make up for tonight's disappointment . Ken

When we checked in on July 14 2016 they gave us the wrong room which we made our reservations in may, not only was it the wrong room but there was dried blood on the couch and all over the light switches in the bathroom (I should of took pictures). I went and spoke to Raja the manager not once did he apologize the only thing he said was he did not have another room for us to switch to I asked what happen to the room I reserved and he couldn't give me an answer he said he could change my room tomorrow (Friday)he did send someone to clean the room (the only choice I was given) so Friday comes I go down to change rooms I speak to Raja again he's looking at me like he was lost. He said I'm let me see what I can do I said what do you mean I have my email that has the reservations and what room we reserved world you like to see it he said no, I will be right back, once again he never apologized for the inconvenience, he comes back and said I will have your room ready have your stuff packed and ready, I told him I never unpacked my stuff that I'm ready he said that he would call me when my room was ready and sent me on my way oh I also told him that he needed to have someone check the ice machine cause it had mold in it he said he would and never did we tried it several times it was never fixed we had to go buy a bag of ice. Still through all of this no one apologized or offered like a free dinner or something I mean at least acknowledge what's going on like you halfway care. The pool was dirty and cloudy I had to ask the pool guy to skim off the surface. Just was not a good experience and will not be back to be treated like I didn't matter. We spent a lot of money to stay there!!! Our first time and our last time!!!

Nice resort but too loud at night, party every night until 230, very loud and no escaping it. I wouldn t recommend for kids as we could not sleep any night. Front desk staff is rude but everyone else is nice. Oh and local calls cost $1 which is a rip off

Been staying year after year...last two visits our King Suite was not as promised...this last stay our King Suite Kitchenette was a dorm fridge and tiny microwave....no sink. no way to cook. no island seating all items as pictured on the website for room description...room 618 had all mixed matched furniture. The sleeper couch was so sunk in you could not sit in it to put your shoes on....toilet was so close to the shower you had to sit at an angle to use it.....had to argue with Valerie in front of other's to try and get resolution Valerie insisted that we ordered the wrong room....no agreeable resolution. Our reservation was made over six month in advanced at a premium price of 250.00 per night plus taxes and fees attached...... see photos of kitchenette comparison from one year to the next....the photo I pulled from Shepards website as the description of a studio king clearly shows a full sized fridge sink and cooktop.....after 3 times to the front desk and the pictures below I finally got resolve from Lily who made an agreeable resolution to rectify the discrepancy.
Was a nice resort but not sure how will they clean the rooms. We found an adult toy in our room left over from a past visitor. We contact the front desk to have it removed from the room and they told us our resort fees would be refund for the mishap. Unfortunately when we check out our fees were not refund and the management was rude and refused to do anything about it. Very unprofessional to have nothing done about it when who knows where or what that adult toy had been and did not offer to clean or move us to a different room.
A little Piece of Heaven talked away in the southern tip of Clearwater Beach. Fair pricing, and a great Tiki Bar with private Beach area. Rather you stay at the resort or just stop in for lunch or a drink, you will not regret visiting Shepherds on the beach
Went to the bar for some drinks and appetizers. Bar tender was very friendly and accommodating. Pina Coladas were delicious and the food was great. Ended up ordering a second buffalo shrimp plate because they were so good.
What a disaster! Booked a block of rooms for a wedding months ago, rooms were scattered all over both towers. Needed a handicap room, gave it to be used as a hospitality suite. But, reception was great & the 2 bartenders were amazing!
me and my family spent the september 29th, 2018-september 30th, 2018 (saturday-sunday)..I must say that the staff they have were completely rude to the point of almost being smacked in the face..their valet system sucks and are also rude..for the kind of money that a person spends to stay at a so called 5 star resort i think me and my family could have been treated alot better. i spent $900 dollars for two nights in one of there biggest suites and it was filthy..when i called to have it cleaned i was told someone would be there to clean it,but no one showed up..one of the toilets were clogged and again no one came..i would never stay at this resort again nor would i refer anyone to do so..this place sucks..it is definitely not a place for children..their were people passed out in elevators, always loud in the hallways ,people fighting etc...
Definitely one of the best venues in Florida, cant go wrong and they always bring in dope head lining DJ'S, on top of their already very talented resident DJ'S

I loved the resort its self was disappointed in the small beach area and as a guest you gotta rent chairs.. also the beach allows boats to anchor there which takes up alot of the beach space

Great food at the buffet, the club is pretty awesome, 2 levels, nice outdoor deck area, and the tiki bar with live bands is nice. Looking forward to returning there again!

This is one of the best seafood buffets that I have ever eaten at. They serve all you can eat crab legs every night at the Ocean Flame Interactive Grill. The also have a band that performs outide so you can make a night of the experience.

I go to Shephards a lot. They always have awesome live music with such a great vibe and amazing drinks and food! Plus the view is always gorgeous. Great for pictures too

I went to the Tiki Beach Bar and the Wave nightclub and I would definitely give the Tiki Beach Bar a 5 star, but as a whole the resort, especially the nightclub, it wasn't as friendly as the Tiki Beach Bar.
The resort is beautiful and the staff were all great! Clean rooms and comfy beds. My family and I will definitely be back.

I'm am a Floridian & this is one of my favorite places for a girls get away bc they have a band from 2 PM- 2 am, beautiful pool, a couple of private small beaches. If you r looking for a quiet get away or a huge white sand beachfront this isn't your place to stay.....
A group of 6 adults attended the dover buffet. We had an absolutely amazing waitress! I'm a vegetarian and had plenty to choose from, and the others loved the all you can eat crab legs.
Dont order food outside. To many birds. Go to Jimmy's next door. They have better bird control devices and better food. Also the prices of food and beverages is way out of hand at Shepherd's.
Well run resort. The property is kept clean, is well secured, and offers plenty to do.
Second visit to Clearwater Beach. Stayed at a VRBO with pool but still came to Shepards Beach & Bar every day. Great staff, service & atmosphere.
Shepherd's buffet is by far the best around..service and food is amazing.. Highly recommended.
