Very sad to say, that they yeld at me for coming up on my jet ski to grab lunch from here but got turned down so i really would like to say that u have to fix that because us rider's on the water need somewhere to go and if ur not aloud to park skis or boats near ur restaurant then we will go elsewhere.
Everything was great, except that the jet skis completely took over their private beach so there s no space to swim. My husband actually got run over by a jet ski on their private beach. He complained in the reception and the lady said that there s nothing she can do. If she had at least showed concern and said she would escalate the issue I wouldn t be writing this review.

I was visiting family on vacation and fell coming out of the bathroom by the pool. No wet floor sign and no one came to check on me.
Had so much fun, was nervous about bringing the kids but in the middle of the week it was a great family environment, thank you!

If you wanna party then this is a good place , if you wanna go to bed at 9pm the stay away. Simple as that.
My family had brunch here this past Sunday and not only was there something for everybody it was delicious as well. This is not a crappy strip mall buffet so expect to pay more.
If your visiting the area and want to dance this is the place. There is a cover charge most nights 10-20.00 with a band. Drinks are medium priced the bar and table setting are dated outside age group 30-40. There is a inside bar with air conditioning techno music 20s.
Fun if you want a Sunday night club and the shows by the water are always great.
I came to Shephard's Beach Resort for a girls weekend and I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone. From the thin walls (we could hear our neighbors fighting all night) to people hanging out in the lobby with lingerie on, this isn't a good family establishment or a place for a fun girls weekend. In addition, the resort staff is unprofessional - they try to check ID's without any of the proper tools such as scanners or ID lights. Again, there are many other places to stay in Clearwater, don't stay here.
This resort is fun and lively! Geared towards adults, there is live music till the wee hours. No coffee available till 8:00 am, early risers be aware!
The band #nofilter puts on a pretty good show and has some good covers.
We just came for a last minute weekend getaway, nothing planned just pack up and go, and we are glad to pick this hotel. There is live entertainment every night. The band played new as well as old hits. The buffet dinner in Ocean Flame (seafood and beef) is definitely worth the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the sunset view....breath taking!

Great place with everything you need on site. The people were friendly, the breakfast bar was good. The entertainment, tiki lounge and pool area are great. They are actually building up and adding sand to the pretty beach area now. The music is a little loud at night... but it's worth it. Our room is directly in front of it...so I'm sure there are more quiet rooms if you would want them.
Best place to go on Sundays. From March through September. Great parties, food, beautiful people and great atmosphere.

Whole the exterior and interior of the hotel look appealing, it's certainly not a place if you're looking to get away from the younger crowd. This is certainly considered one of the prime party spots on Clearwater Beach.

Shepard's Beach Resort is like Spring Break resort every weekend. The hotel is set up on the best spot on the beach from a logistical point. It is not a low budget hotel, food and drinks are pricey. On the plus side you can walk in any direction and you will find restaurants, bars, lounges galore. It's a good walking distance from the north beach but it can be walked (just not in June, July or August) it gets very hot. The buffet is good but again, it is pricey. The layout of the resort is set up well. the pool area has nice palm trees setup to block out some of the sun which is great. The tiki bar has a stage setup for live music and DJ's to play as well. They also have a night club called Wave. The sunsets are phenomenal when the sun sets south of the channel, they have wave runners available for rent and all sorts of water toys on the beach portion of the hotel. They party every weekend until 3AM if you are looking for a quiet time this hotel is not for you. The parties yield drunk egos every night which is why the Clearwater Police sets up camp across the street in the gas station. It is normal for fights to break out and bouncers to drag out someone nightly into the hands of the Clearwater Police. This should not deter you from partying. The staff is ok, would like to see them greet or interact a bit more with the hotel guests Good morning, afternoon, evening etc. The rooms are very clean, I could do without the low shower head pressure but I understand they do it to avoid the water from exiting the shower due to the lack of a shower door. The rooms are well decorated and hallways have nice pictures through out the halls. Overall I give it 4 stars out of 5 for the operation they run. I didn't have any negative experiences and It is run decently but they can improve to get that 5th star. Memorial Day Labor Day 4th of July this place is lit.
Good overall. the bad is that this is a vallet parking only resort. they charge a lot for beach chair rental. and some of their attractions such as paddle boarding in jet skis etc. are way overpriced (Its cheaper next door an way cheaper few blocks away) with a not so friendly costumer service. One time I had ordered two drinks, the bartender gave me the total price and i went to get the money to pay and wheb i got bavk no more then 2 minutes (while the bartenders was still mixing it), i come back , by then the drinks were waiting no more then a minute for me and the bartender gets mad because i took too long to get the money.. there was very few people that day. and no costumers at the bar.. he was just being an ass. (when you pay so much for an resort you would expect great service but some people ruins the moments with their attitudes). the rooms are pretty nice thought. great tv channels, it has a cooktop (that takes forever to frie an egg. a large refrigerator and a nice view to the beach. the bedroom floors are tiled which although it keep the floor cold, its clean. they have live music with good singers and players which is cool. Its a good resort overall. I which i had more positive things to say but
unfortunately it's easier to remember the bad things. specially since you are paying good money to have a good time and relax and you get let down by the folks you "paying" to take care of you. It need more life in that place.. it was dead in many aspect.

Not the destination I want to go any more. No live music until 3 PM during their peak season. We enjoyed the sun and great music long ago but that is no more. Not everyone parties at night.
My twins daughters and I were in Clearwater on bereavement leave after losing their dad and my husband. We stayed at Shepard s Live Entertainment Resort for the first time. I booked a harbor/gulf view balcony room, that was very affordable and nice. We were a little concerned with the loud music at first, not knowing that bar time is 3am in Florida. But the bands they chose were great and very entertaining. It wasn t until our 3rd day that the people in the room next to us had multiple teenage boys staying there. The door slamming, loud noises and the volley ball bouncing off the wall and in the hallways was extremely disruptive, disturbing and rude. I asked the parents many times to keep their boys in line, but they did not honor my request. My girls and I were very tired, exhausted and upset about our stay . I went to speak with the manager not sure if they could do anything. HOLY COW!!! WHAT SERVICE!!! They put us in a new room and upgraded it for us at no charge! I cannot express how grateful I am to this Hotel and their staff to take the extra step to make sure we were comfortable, happy and rested. They really helped us and I never expected for such wonderful service.

Way over priced, mandatory tip and waier didn't do much. Food was overrated
Good seafood buffet. If you want crab legs you have to ask, and then pay an extra $10 which is a new policy and kind of uncomfortable when you have a large group. I would prefer they just charge the extra $10

We visit at least once a year, my family loves this place. Thanks to the staff who dropped everything to help me find my wedding band at the front desk and restaurant. I did find my ring.
Shepard's Beach Resort is a lovely establishment in Clearwater, Florida. It literally felt like home away from home. The staff was excellent, the music was on point, the food was great and the drinks were refreshing. Nothing can beat the convenience of being poolside then having the luxury of the beach a couple yards away. I specifically went to Shepard's Tiki Bar that they host every Sunday so I can't speak on lodging but I can say it was a very enjoyable event. The one thing I would warn people of is that if you plan to head out that way make sure you leave at least an hour earlier than you intended to beat traffic. The traffic heading that way is nothing to be played with. Other than that enjoy your stay there.
This people at the front desk re very rude and they put you on hold and after that they hand up the phone. They didn't want to book a day for me. Very unprofessional and ignorant they need to go to school to learn how to treat a client
Very rude staff! Do not go here! Young girl answering the phones treated me as if I was her 16 year old ex boyfriend. I wanted to spend a bunch of time and money at this resort. I wanted a good vacation. Thank your staff for me going elsewhere. Sandpearl staff is much more accommodating and professional. Message out to the owners: Don t have teenagers running your business.
Frankly I was pleased until learning that my vacation with children placed us in a room above the night club (without prior disclosure). When the appliances in the room are rattling until 3am it would be worth telling the family in advance.
First time there. Really nice location on the water. I had a good meal,and my two friends said their meals were good also. We had Sean as our server. He was attentive to us,and a really nice guy.

Tommy at the beach bar was an absolute delight and made the best dirty banana cocktail I have ever had. We enjoyed delicious peel & eat shrimp and loved the private beach and true resort atmosphere
One of the best beach front bar/restaurant in Tampa at it's best, we had an awesome time, at the bar you can view the sports on the TV's in front of you, behind you, open seating areas circles an open dance area in front the best live band playing that I've heard called (I candy), and just behind the band was a beautiful sunset over the ocean waves bring in the breeze .

Bands are amazing great place to relax food is horrible for the price the bucket drinks or nothing but juice and over price. So have a beer and you'll be just fine and have tons of fun.

Great bar, pool, live music. Staff are pleasant. They need to work out small details like more towel hooks in bathrooms etc., but I definitely enjoyed this hotel.
Unpleasant hotel. Lock housing exposed. Hot water constantly running out. No ventilation in bathroom. Called reception and housekeeping. No one responded. Staff very pushy rude overbearing & relentless. Underage drinking. DO NOT STAY. Every other hotel in the area is 1k better than this.
