Can't believe this place doesn't have any local craft beer like three daughters or anything local

Hmmm... Hate to talk bad about a place on the beach...but...the drinks were weak...the nacho chips were stale...the service was slow...the price was steep. All that being said...the beach was beautiful...the facility was clean and well maintained...the music was enjoyable and the atmosphere was what one could expect from Clearwater Beach.

When a corporate function is held at your facility, maybe your staff on duty should be aware of the person responsible for choosing this location in the first place, so that when he states someone is with our party, they listen and do not proceed to get to the point of asking for a business card. I definitely think the money could have been more appreciated, valued and gone further elsewhere. I don't believe I'm alone in these feelings...

I loved it here my husband and I had a wonderful time .and we can't wait to come back.it was clean and the hotel staff were courtesy .

Awesome atmosphere. Beach party, great DJs, good food, drinks seem light but writing this review the day after, kinda grateful for that lol.

This place is awesome! The only night club on the beach in all of Clearwater. But if the night club isn't your thing; well no worries because they have the best live music on the beach, too! Just a really great environment and the rooms were super clean! Staff was really professional and friendly , too!

Beautiful Resort! Everyone that we were in contact with were helpful! Recommended to family & friends.

The variety of food was good and it all tasted great. The crab legs were a bit Robert and hard to open but very tasty once you got to the meat. The atmosphere was very cafeteria like which isn't necessarily bad. There was no bad odors which was a big plus for us.

Music was great. Cost if food & drinks, you best get a small business loan before going.

The hotel was nice and clean. There was a concert every night just outside of my balcony. But when close the balcony doors the sound is muffled significantly. I love this place.

My Misses actually put me onto this spot. It's basically a one-stop shop for all your beaching needs. There is parking, restrooms, food, and drinks available. It's actually pretty cost friendly as well.

I will definitely not be returning to Shepards Hotel. The hotel is known for being the part hotel on the Clearwater strip, but what I experienced was really just a bunch of 18 year olds. The bars, clubs and hotel reminded me of a high school homecoming. Not to mention, the staffing was horrible. The male and female bartenders at the Waves Night Club were tremendously rude to my family and I, it made us do uncomfortable we left. Since we were there for less than 10 minutes we asked for our $30 cover charges back and was denied. While the management seemed to listen to our concerns they seemed less than interested in what we had to say. While it does look like a beautiful hotel from the outside, if you are a family or over 18 years of age I recommend staying somewhere and going somewhere else to drink!

Clean, affordable resort with easy access to the beach.

Terrible service for mediocre buffet food. The crab legs were old, with little meat in them. Most of the other dishes were hot but low on flavour. The waitress staff was horrible. Too busy laughing and joking in the kitchen to do their jobs. Staff slipping out the back door to stand on the deck. Staff serving other staff alcohol in their water glasses. Yes. Out in the open. No manager to be seen. You're better off going to a Chinese buffet and saving yourself the 40 dollars per plate.

We came for new year eve. With great expectations. Although the place is beautiful the service and music was awful. We have reserved a table online and right when we were seated by the host, a gentleman was screaming at us to give them More

Tried to charge us twice for checking in until I showed them my bank statement, bed bugs in two rooms and refusal to refund any of our money. The most combative staff you will ever encounter, DO NOT stay here! Total safety hazard and ao rude when we showed them videos of bed bugs

Ridicules loud music from a live band every night until midnight right outside our otherwise nice room. No patrons enjoying the band, only a single B team singer singing away to no one. The music was way too loud to actually enjoy. Couldn t sleep each night until after midnight but the grounds were nice. Too bad the management can t read their guest since everyone complained about the noise. Disappointed, would have been a great place to enjoy Clearwater.......

As a local I still love Shehards! We have been a couple times this month and danced and danced.

We came down for memorial day. There was supposed to be a tropical storm but the weather wasn't too bad. The service was good. The only problem was since it was a holiday they were only serving top shelf liquor.

IF I COULD LESS THEN A STAR I WOULD!!! ONLY REASON IT GETS 1 Is the manger but Staff Is rude not all just the wave and in my option racist as hell. I understand have a cover "over bathingsuit "to go in....I Had a one piece on and the people I was with had two pieces on and a 1 piece and a allowed in as were I was told to get cover up and was more then covered with my bathing suit and with that as enough already they would then add on top of that the cops are called. I fully understand a server being disrespected. I understand action should have been placed..TO THOSE RESPONSIBLE!!!! I understand that but I was harassed thrown out embarrassed and looked like I was a part of something that I was not. BOTH THE PEOPLE YOU THREW OUT THAT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INCIDENT INCLUDING MYSELF ARE BUSINESS OWNERS SEND AND SPEND ALOT YOUR WAY!!!They are RUDE!!!! I SPENT 45VON BAND 20 EACH DAY PARKING 15$ PER DRINK AND GOT A BOOTH AND BOTTLES!!!! Being someone who was raised and lived ON CLEARWATER beach and a local I sent all of my business to your business wich will no longer happen if a customer comes in my shop and ask were to go for fun I will not I repeat not send them to your way!!!!!! DISQUSTING AND EMBARRASSED TO EVEN SAY I ENJOYED THIS PLACE FOR 15 YEARS!

Was a cool day and our first server asked after delivering food it was slow could we cash out! No problem but when het replacement finally stopped by she charged again for two refills on Iced tea! $14 bucks for iced tea is CRAZY!!!!!

Although it seems like a decent hotel, I am coming here to review the dress code of its clubs. Upon reading the rules for their dress code, I began to notice that a lot of them seem to, without directly naming them, target the fashion of urban, African-American men. For example, one of the many rules is to not allow anybody to wear "medallions", or chains. Another one of the rules that seems to more inherently target the African-American community is the club's policy not to allow basketball, gym shorts, and jerseys. A few more include not allowing pants that don't stay up unassisted or "baggy clothes". Finally, the icing on the cake is that they above all else "reserve the right to refuse service anytime at their discretion". Much of the night was a blur, but one thing I remember about this club was that it mostly white as well with many of the white men not following the dress code. Perhaps I'm wrong but this club seems to practice racial discrimination.

The service of the bartender was very good but the prices of the drinks were expensive

The location is close to the Clearwater beach, the club is the main place in this area to visit. The service is great and the rooms are very clean

Shepherds is a fun beach bar with a stage right on the inlet of Clearwater Beach and Sand Key. The drinks are somewhat reasonably priced. The resort offers the Salt Tequila and the Craft Beer Bar, both had extensive selections of tequila and beer. They generally have live music, which play covers of popular songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and today. You can walk right onto the beach from the night club. Sometimes people can get out of hand but there is adequate security. Cover charges can range from $10-$20. You can order food at the various bars, which I have not yet. They have a tremendous New Year's Eve celebration with live bands and fireworks right on the beach.

Right on the water! The tiki bar is very chill. There's a stage and you're steps away from the ocean!

I booked a night with breakfast included. At time they wanted to charge me $12 per person + coffee.

Live music and dance floor out at tiki bar. Was a cover--not worth it for the night I went. Only stayed for one $15 drink. Not enough of a crowd to blow money like that on a Saturday.

We ducked in here to dodge an approaching thunderstorm, hadn't been here in many years. Food, service & drinks were great, live entertainment . Also a large seafood buffet is offered inside, Sunday brunch too ! This has been completely remodeled & expanded since our last visit, mostly young crowd (under 40) located on the pass Clearwater beach, pull your boat right up on the beach ! Hotel with pool, private beach, jet skis, 3 outside bars, large stage for entertainment complete with light show. Lots of "walk to" shopping, restaurants, bars.

Attended Shepard's beach resort for drinks and food at the ocean flame seafood buffet. Excellent service and good food. Would recommend

Very nice hotel, located in a great area of Clearwater beach. Nice staff, pool and it s cool that there are multiple bars. Private beach was an absolute plus! You can even rent jet skis and other water crafts right there.
Only reason they didn t get 5 stars is because of the noise of the night club. When we booked we knew there was a club but our room was in the opposite building on the top floor and even with the patio door closed you could still hear the music so if you re a light sleeper it could be a problem.

Expensive drinks that are terrible and so was the food ! And my friend saw a rat !!!

Didn't stay here, but ate lunch and rented a golf cart here. Lunch was good and Mike at the shop was AWESOME! Don't call him sir... lol

Good spot to find some people getting into trouble if you know what I mean. Most of the time there is live music and it's right on the beach.

Was there for my friends birthday party. Had an awesome time. They were very friendly and understanding us celebrating loudly at times. Beautiful views off the gulf. Definitely recommend it

My wife and I have been going to Sheapards for the last seven years and will continue to visit this resort. Great staff, great views, and close enough to walk almost anywhere.

Beautiful atmosphere and okay music. Wish the DJ played more of a variety on a Sunday. I would definitely go back. Food was okay.

We go here every year and always have a great time. The food is excellent.

Lovely pool. Fabulous location. Wonderful vacation.

Place in general is great location. Nice private beach but chairs not part of resort and additional costs for what is outlined here. If you like paying $200 a night for an atmosphere that is rowdy/Vegas like (which you can stay is Vegas for this kind of atmosphere much cheaper!) then go for it. Staff was friendly enough but you do not get much for $20 resort fee other than a towel that you will be harrassed to return and a night of no sleep with the band and / or DJ playing to 3am.

Over priced buffett that is only worth it if you are overweight

Nice hotel but don't bring kid's not family orientated cop's sitting outside all the time security everywhere nite club and nothing but trouble every nite if you're 18 to 25 it's for you ...if older nite mare ...

I wish I could leave no stars for the so called night club. Worst experience ever, had to be seated at a table and could not dance while listening to the band. Literally could not stand up at your own table or you would get kicked out. Do not go here, they will make it miserable for you!!
