This resort is great. Its right on Clearwater Beach. Jose, the gentleman that checked us in was great. He was so kind and caring. He acknowledged us everytime he saw us throughout the facility.

Right on the intercoastal waterway with a beach of it's own. There's a covered stage with a huge screen at the back of it showing music videos when the stage isn't being used by live bands.

The Sunday brunch can't be beat and includes prime rib, shrimp, crab, ribs, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, salad, cheese, blintzes, waffles, desserts, and everything else! Sooooo good!!!! The atmosphere is wonderful as well! Staff is very friendly!

This place is the worst of the absolutely worst! Do your self a favor and stay away.

Nice place to eat lunch, hang by the beach before "the crazy partying begins." Second time going, a group of us were racially profiled by a security guard; mind you we are all successful graduates of college, with masters and bachelor degrees, and did not let us in. After speaking to management, they said my female friend that happens to be a lesbian couldn't wear mens bathing suit to the deck area and needed to dress appropiately. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. ONLY reason I rate it a two star is because the venue itself is nice, staff on the other hand is horrible.

Great atmosphere. If you are on the older side of life the music may be to loud for you. If you are younger this is the place.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I would not recommend this place to any one who wants to have a good experience. The staff is absolutely rude and unprofessional. From the valet, to the front desk, to the room service, I was treated as if they were paying ME to be there! I don't understand how this place makes any money. Never again will they get another dime from me!!

Make sure you know where your room is located because the live music on stage goes til around 2:30a on weekends pool is great and beach is quiet.

The buffet is awesome with deliciousand fresh food,salads, desserts and soup. A bit pricey but is worth it. If possible sit outside it had a beautiful view and access to the beach. Great and friendly staff. Valet parking only.

Awesome!!! Great buffet, went for Mother's Day '18 and everything was hot and fresh.

Fun place for drinks and dancing, plus walk-up beach access. Dance inside or outside, drinks served inside or outside. $10 cover charge (when we went) and $7 drinks.

I love Shepard's. It's my weekly cardio/mini music festival get away. Find me, join me, CJ, on the dancefloor!

One of my favorite beach spots in Florida is Shephard's in Clearwater. Everything you need for a wonderful weekend at the beach right here!

PROS: Nice hotel if you want daily bands and white sand. It is conveniently located.
CONS: One washer was broken, and there was a nasty smell coming out of it. "Island View" meant gas station view. Breakfast was not great, and the pancakes tasted like rubber.

Staff was wonderful and very attentive to all guests.

Was very good except outside service to eat at the bar was horrible. Waitress never came back to check on us, food was cold, didnt get what we ordered and waitress took a very long time. Didnt leave a tip and she chased us down yelling thank you so much ladies very snottily.

I have been here for a couple of weddings, a family outing and now for 2 holiday brunches. Each time was a great experience overall. The foot is plentiful and there has usually been a great selection from main courses and sides, to desserts. If you get the opportunity to eat outside, it adds a nice touch. It can get a tad bit noisy with lots of people, but it still lends itself to being a great place for a date. I also like the valet parking option.

Nice resort as far as amenities and the bars. The private beach is good to have but recommend going to a public access beach as the private is small area and more inland bay then ocean. The rooms are ok the gulf tower is dated and needs upgraded as far as the rooms. No ac in elevator in that tower or the halls leading to the rooms. The pull out couch is a twin and not very comfortable at all. If you are a light sleeper you will want the island view as the club is open and plays music til 2 am. The island view is just the city streets and the rooms do not have the pull out couches in those rooms.

The live entertainment every night at the tiki bar is good. Wednesdays with cutty Jones and Jay slay is good fun.

Great food at a great price at a wonderful location.

This place was not bad but not great. Firstly, the beach is not private for people staying at the resort. They let local people come and park their boats and jet skis right where the private beach is. They do not allow people staying at the resort to bring their own drinks to the beach. Breakfast is not complimentary. There are several reasons why we will not recommend this resort to others. The private beach for guests was the main appeal for us and that turned out to be less than truthful.

They recently remodeled the hotel and restaurant. Still can't get over the old shepherd's feeling but they've definitely done their part to improve this place. It's the best "all inclusive" place on Clearwater beach.

Mostly seafood and it's was just ok... We went for the view of the sunset and we couldn't even see it from our table we had to walk around the beach.

One of my favorite places to go to have a mini vacation.

Great food, staff, entertainment and location. Make this a point of destination.

Best club on CW Beach, they've always got something going on. Drinks can cost more but you're on the beach, not downtown. Bring a little extra cash or just be cheap and get faded before you get there.

The worst crab legs I've ever had would not recommend staff was ok but what a waste of money -3 star just horrible

There's no better place to party and relax in Clearwater

We have been making memories with our friends and family for so many years at Flame Buffet and today will be the 1st time without crab legs. I cant believe there isn't even an option to pay extra for them today. I just want to voice my opinion that I'm upset about not having my usual crab legs. I would never give you less than 5 stars though because the food is always great and we have never brought anyone who didnt enjoy everything about Shepherds.

Enjoyed the live music while looking out over the water. Service is excellent and a great atmosphere. They offer a nice clean beach for swimming and Jet Ski rentals as well.

This is a Great Resort if you are planning an Intimate Wedding. The Beach in the back though a little small has a Fabulous view of the Clearwater Pass. And lots of Beautiful Shells. The Staff does a Wonderful Job with organization and execution of any kind of Wedding event. True Love Photography's Photo below.

Great time. Skip the buffet kinda old n nasty after 8. Beach party is awesome on weekends

Nice place, Good food and Nice music but the prices is really high.

Entertainment and atmosphere is perfect! Definitely an adult only hotel. Multiple bars and lots of love music! Only reason I didn't give a five star rating is the no outside drinks allowed. Even a yeti cup with ice water is not allowed and they serve tap water in a plastic cup. Lots of seagulls in the area so lids would be helpful. It would be awesome if they added a all inclusive drink package!

Out of this world quality dishes, great presentation, steamy hot, our waiter Johnny was great, we had tons of tasty crab legs, no waiting, trust me we will be back!

Food is usually pretty good. Service is as well. However, not happy with the recent changes to price and parking.

Guarantee your stay here in Clearwater beach will be fantastic! Shepherd s has staff that can t be beat . A seafood buffet that is one of a kind , or dine outside on the pier with live bands & grill type cuisine . They even have their own private beach ! Love this place so much ! Let them valet park your cars & go enjoy your stay here when visiting Clearwater,Florida.

The buffet is not the best any more they lost the quality the fish was dry and the sushi very bad :(

Used to be really cool place to stay or have some fun with friends over the weekend. I used to come here every weekend. Today I was refused entry because I was wearing jeans. It's ok to wear shorts, but jeans are not allowed. This place is getting worse and worse every year. Many other great places in Clearwater Beach where you can have fun for less money without worrying about wearing $200 jeans.

Always a fun place to go to and dance and enjoy a sunset.
