Overall, excellent. This is the first time we stayed in a suite room. May I suggest you fix the sliding door between the dressing room and the bathroom. One of the doors is out of alignment.

Every single person who works for this hotel was f...

Every single person who works for this hotel was friendly, polite, kind and accomodating. From the people simply opening the door, to the front desk staff, poolside staff, housekeeping, etc.. everyone was fantastic. The hotel itself is well kept, clean, and beautifully decorated. The room was comfortable and I had no issues. I was worried being here 2 weeks in a new country, but the welcoming staff and high quality room made me feel "at home". The stay was wonderful.

Just had a little snag about redeeming of non-room rewards as it was my first time. I thought the USD50 equivalent would be multiplied by the current exchange rate. But apparently it wasn t so we had to pay more.

The facilities are good and the restaurant is good. The Italian restaurant, Chinese restaurant, Japanese restaurant, buffet, and above all, the wine buffet was impressive.
I can not forget the chi spas !!

A reputable international hotel with a big mall that has lot of imported stores and brand items to choose from. Nice clothing, shoes, baggages, appliances, foods and beverages. The place is so clean, cold, well lighted and secured. Foreigners and locals like this place a lot. The location is very accessible to riding public and car owners.

Under my expectation was it a 5star or 4star? I'm asking sincerely because the room was small, smell old, no complimentary fruits or any welcome refresh, we needed to queue up literally 15min to check in, 10min to check out. Carpets were from last century.

Upscale Mall in Metro Manila. Always go either on weekdays (within 10am to 3pm) and weekends (before 10am or after 6pm) to avoid large crowds or heavy rush hour traffic. Area is a known commercial and business center of metro manila.

EDSA Shangrila Hotel is really great. Their rooms are nice, ambiance is nice. If you're checking in I'm sure you'll have yourself busy with what's in the hotel and if you get bored there are two malls just beside it Shangrila Mall and SM Megamall. Inside the hotel there are nice restaurants, they have HEAT which is a buffet, Chinese and Italian restaurant as well. Food and service are exceptional, that is what you should expect since services here are not cheap. One of my gripes is the parking it could be small and tight for big cars, however Shangrila Mall parking is more accommodating.

Fix your check in and checkout process.

Hotel Checkin was at 2pm, so why is my room not yet available at 230pm. What is the use of informing you of my arrival time if this will occur. I had to complain for the room to be suddenly available.

On Checkout, after 2 followups, the person to assist with luggage never came. We met the person to assist with luggage while waiting for a lift.
When luggage was to be placed on the car, had to wait outside for 30min, because they misplaced our luggage.

I should get a refund because the hotel was not able to provide 5 star service.

This is my 2nd time in this hotel, same problem with checkin the last time. Never had this problem with other 4 star or 5 star hotels

We had a staycation to celebrate the 75th birthday...

We had a staycation to celebrate the 75th birthday of my mother-in-law and booked 3 rooms. We're happy that our requests were accommodated from being transferred to the room with pool view and connecting rooms and late check-out. Lastly, my son informed us that he lost his cellphone when we were checking out. There were plenty of staff who tried their best to find it. I would like to especially mention Marlon from Concierge who continually got in touch with us even after we went home informing us of the status from the lost and found department. Fortunately, my son eventually found his phone amongst his things and I informed the hotel about this.

I love this hotel's strategic location, the center...

I love this hotel's strategic location, the center of the City. As a visitor, I was able to receive visitors coming from all over the City. I also adore the courtesy and top-notch service this hotel has given us over the course of 15 years.

The upside if the stay was that our suite was grea...

The upside if the stay was that our suite was great! The housekeeping staff are as good as any hotel that I have visited.

Now for the downside. Your F&B is desperate need of professional training and better leadership. I have stayed at the Shang in Makati, the Peninsula and the Mandarin before it was torn down. All of them have better quality food and more consistent products.

Let me give you a specific example that you can verify from my room service orders - I ordered French Onion Soup four or five times during my stay and expressly asked for it to be extra hot when I placed the order. Only once was it the proper temperature. You may ask why I don't send it back. Because then I have to wait 10 - 15 minutes for it to be microwaved and returned to me and by then my main dish is cold.

Another example is the Horizon Club breakfast. Your staff there cannot scramble an egg properly and consistently even after I explain it in English and my wife explains it in Tagalog.

The bottom line for me is that I would fire your Executive Chef or whoever runs the F&B Department because they clearly don't have that area up to the standard of the other aspects of the property.

I stay in you hotel because I like the room and the location and despite the fact that the quality of the food is inadequate.

the food for breakfast was extensive from indian, chinese, american ,japanese and fil breakfast. I was there for 9 days.The chef needs to be more creative in making different menus, filipino food did not appeal much to me, the tucino , longaniza was not of good quality for a 5 star hotel, as balikbayan we crave for the authentic filipino flavours.I have been staying with your hotel since 2000 and I think that the food has gone down but service has improved.Crepe station was taken out which was my favorite and all they have for filling was banana and apple, I was asking for Mango crepe but nothing.except for apple filling for 9 days the breakfast price as included n my my stay but I had a guest and paid P1900 per person inclusive of tax and vat. The food should definitely be worth that price or I could have treated our guest to Abe or other restaurants close by the hotel.. Over all stay was excellent . Raymond the person who cleaned my room 707 on the first 7 days of my stay was excellent he attended to all our needs in our room.

Our staycation to this hotel is good. The pool is good, food is good, and hotel staff are very nice. We stayed to Tower Wing Premier Room, for a 45sqm room, still looks and feel small. If you don't mind for a bathtub, their Deluxe Room is already good.

Food is still not the best. I ordered poolside a burger, it was ok. my wife ordered some pasta dish and it was not what she ordered and was tasteless and over priced. My other guests were not impressed with their orders. I have complained my prior stay that your food was not good and of poor quality.

Rooms are very spacious and clean, with good WiFi signal. Pool area and bar are fantastic and always has lounge chairs available for use. The breakfast buffet is fantastic with a wide range of local and international selections. My only suggestion would be to add a router near the smoking area as the signal is rather poor there.

My car was vandalized! The rear view camera of my 2018 Toyota Fortuner was stolen. I entrust my vehicle to your Valet service Friday afternoon and when we checked out yesterday Sunday, I opened the trunk to load our luggages and noticed the rear camera (connected to dash cam/rear view mirror) was removed from its wire cable. I reported to Vina Mari Sayson - Service Manager Front Office. Up to now, they don't have the result yet.

I'm a regular customer of ESL, you can check my records. But yesterday was so disappointing. My car is not safe. I demand a quick investigation and due payment of the damage.

This is by far the worst of all our stays at the Shangri-La. You wanted to charge me 1,500 adult charge for 2 5 year old boys. i upgraded my room with lounge access, you charged me $100 for it, and the moment we step in to the lounge, you greet us asking for more deposit payment?
I think you lost your family oriented roots. today, we just cancelled our stay with you in maldives.

I enjoy my vacation at your hotel, everything is great, very much appreciated the welcome banana cake on my room, the extra free bottled water I requested because I drink a lot of water cause 2 bottles are not enough for me & also the cotton pads for cleaning my face which is not provided on the toiletries , especially the security because of the key card and on the swimming pool which I comfortably swam alone that I leave my bag w/ my key card on it because the girl dispensing the towel provide me a seat, sorry I didn't get her name. My warmest gratitude and it is highly recommended to my family and friends.

We stayed 2 nights with kids. It was very good stay-cation for kids and adults.
For kids; there are kids water slider, kids pool, water falling facility, water shooting facilities and plenty small size life jacks, and plenty life savers were watching kids all the time.

For adult ; there are deep depths pool 2.85m, perfectly separated with kids swim area, CHI spa beside the pool, high quality fitness gym with Yoga space, Boxing space, running facilities, power plate, circuit training space and Body scanning machine named INBODY.
Thanks for making us relax and comfortable.

There was mold growing on my fire alarm in my room - my room was very musty and I didn't notice the mold until 2 nights before checking out. When told the front desk about it and showed the picture, no one did anything like they said they would. Had to go back at night and remind them - only to have them follow me up to my room and wipe the mold away. Also, food service was very slow.

Edsa Shang is always on the top tier of of my family's pick. Checking in and out are always a breeze, the staff are all welcoming and helpful with sincere smiles on their faces. Food is good quality and most of the senior chefs are familiar, since we have been a constant customer for past a decade already. The recreation area is an oasis of delight for kids and adults alike. The room screams luxury.

Everything's fine as expected when we arrived and ...

Everything's fine as expected when we arrived and checked in at the hotel, the staffs were accommodating as well as responsive to our queries. I dont have any problems at all. Until on the day that we are about to checkout of the hotel, we were in a hurry because of an emergency appointment, we didnt even bother to have the complimentary breakfast due to the situation. We only managed to make a cup of coffee inside the room, then i called the operator (dialled "0") and requested for a paper cup so that we could get out of the hotel ASAP. At first the woman that i talked to said that she will inform the one in-charge regarding our request, however no one appeared on our room! I called the operator many times just to follow up our request but she always said that she already told the one incharge of our concern to bring us the cups.
To my disbelief, it took almost 30mins just for a pair of coffee cups to be delivered in our room! have i known that we have to wait for that long just for a cup, we should have cancelled our request and leave immediately. It costs us a lot of time and delay in our meeting.

Dear hotel manager,

On 7/25, Someone ( an employee of your hotel?? I still don t know who dropped off the stuff ..) came into my room to drop off some stuff per someone else s request. My co worker dropped some stuff at the front desk so I can pick them up myself. But instead someone came to my room without my permission or call me first. I feel that was very inappropriate and unlawful to do that. The time was probably between 6:00pm to 10:0m on 7/25. Someone just opened my room door and came inside without my permission or acknowledgement. Hope I can get some kind of explanation on why it happened. If I were in the shower and did not hear the bell then some employee would had walked in. Felt very strange about that. .

It was fantastic experience overall, the staff was more welcoming and guiding.

However, the food should be mentioned/certified to be Halal as this could add more advantage to muslim guests staying in hotel.

Also, the rooms roof should mention about direction of Makkah for easiness of muslims to pray in right direction.
