Shangri-la's Edsa Plaza Hotel Review

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I brought to their attention that the bedding still felt damp and cold at the end of the day, they were able to quickly find me a new room. They actually upgraded me from the Garden Wing to the Tower Wing which was very nice. Unfortunately, the bedding in the new room still felt damp (actually, my clothes felt damp too). I thought the dampness might have been because the first room was in the older wing but after moving to the new wing, I don't think that's the case. Not sure if the construction impacted the air circulation or not. Because of this, the quality of sleep I had during my stay wasn't the best. I woke up several times throughout the night during the week I was at the hotel.

Lovely hotel...Great amenities and good food. I loved the Pasta and their multicusine restaurant HEAT caters to may nationalities.

Noise disturbance due to a fashion show in the evening. Not resolved by desk personnel. Response "sorry but you will have to wait until it is finished"... Dated interior with limited connection for phone charging.

Amazing experience..My childreN are soo happy..its their 1st time sa 5 star hotel..Hope to stay again in shangrila...

The stay was good. Wish i had more time to spend at edsa shang. Would've been better though if the hotel uodates its television units with chromecast or netflix. So a 4.8! :)

Visited the lounge for drinks. Nice atmosphere and great deal on drinks, service was good. Love that we got a mini cheese platter for each person

Shangri-la hotel, stayed on Tower Deluxe Room. Room is small, limited amenities. Good swimming pool, breakfast buffet and easy access to malls outside.

I am just worried because there are several chinese in the area coughing children with phlegm.

there were flying cocktoacges in the male lobby restriom as well as by the lobby hallway on the first night of our stay. coffee for breakfast wasn t as robust compared to before, and the chocolate batirol didn t taste like one...it tasted like chocnut.

I like staying at the hotel. Staff is very responsive and friendly. This time, for whatever reason, the temperature in the room fluctuated a lot, and also for the first 2 days there were hot water issues in the shower. The hot water problem was successfully addressed.

Spacious Hotel at the center of the City

This is good hotel at the center of city. Amenities provided by them are good. Pool is big..all good malls are on walking distance. The breakfast comprises of not only asean but indian food as well. staff is friendly. There is always some or other activities going on.. I really like live music in lounge.

The place is so nice except from some slow room services.

Impact...it is what I felt different this time. Sonny de guzman and his team at housekeeping really made the difference. It started with just me asking where the hair dryer is from sonny and from then on turned into making sure we were fully taken care of. The detail on fixing our towels to animals to make my kids entertained to how he makes sure we are comfortable and have all our needs. That really made an impact. Cubs and cubbies play area is another step in the right direction. The staff there is warm and very kid friendly. Expand this area and you will see your number of family guests grow. Kudos to stepping in the right direction.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed in. Room was large with a sitting area with a couch. The room was very, very clean and modern. It was a quiet hotel and we slept great! The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and also The continental breakfast was also very good.. I would totally recommend them! Thank you!

All good except the iron that stained my working shirt. The steam iron was not cleaned properly after previous customer stay.

Function rooms are great for big events such as training and or seminars

Room was great. Breakfast wasnt bad but didnt wow me as well.

I didn t expect all my requests (twin beds, pool view, bath tub) will be fulfilled when we checked in last weekend. We were given an early check-in and a late checkout even before I asked for it! I appreciate it so much that Edsa Shangri-La always make their guests feel special. My boys had so much fun, from cubs and cubbies, to the pool and aqua play all the way to the bath tub in our room. I had a very nice, restful sleep with their super comfortable bed and pillows which I have yet to experience in other hotels.

Best in Ortigas. Worth the traffic because the mall's also within a connecting bridge's reach.

Loved the place.. not until they have a system downtime and will get you more than 3 hours to check in.. they gave us free late check out though.

Staff were very helpful from check-in to check out. I remember its Karlo who assisted me during check-in. He introduced me to golden circle rewards and was able to provide a baby cot. I had a great stay and will definitely come back.

I left my clothes in a drawer but the housekeeping/ concierge personnel made sure to include it in our luggage as they brought down our bags. We were in a hurry to catch breakfast & checkout hence the almost left out clothes despite us packing away the night before. Thank you for such concern & honesty. Kuddos to Manny who completely brought down our stuff!

I simply love this place. The entrances can be confusing a bit.

My family had fun during our overnight stay. Room was large that our little one had the time of his life just running around and lying in the carpet. Had a restful night and was recharged for the next day. Loved the L'occitane bath products! :)

Service as always is excellent except I was disappointed that the hotel management have removed the welcome fruit basket.

I had a comfortable ride via hotel car from airport and easy, hassle free check in and check out plus a delicious buffet breakfast as always. It's usually a wonderful experience for me whenever i stay in a Shangrila hotel.

One of best hotels in Manila with great food and service

Overall it was good,
There are 2 shampoos in the bathroom fixture for 5 nights,
There was a day when there was no conditioner.
In addition, we may say luxury, but think that it is better if there is warm water washing toilet seat.

1 hour waiting before check-in though we arrive early. The requested room view is not available even booked the room 1 month ahead on time. Expensive Room.

We had a restful stay. We loved that the pool was not overcrowded. Dining in Heat requires patience, though, because of the very long queue. The people on the front desk of the Heat were probably tired already because they were getting a bit snappish at me.

It was great overall. However, I would have given a 5 out of 5 had I been given daily fresh fruits with my stay. I think that was part of the perks for being a Gold Club member.

We had a good experience during our stay as the staff and food in the restaurants were very good.

The ataff is generally very attentive and always smiling. I can feel the genuine desire to help the guests.

For a old hotel still looks good for the restaurant heat lack of choices or lesser wish they add more food since they have a high asking price but willing to go back for some of their dishes but not regularly

We loved our stay. There were a lot of guests trying to check-in, so the queue was quite long. I requested for the Horizon Club Lounge and since our room was not ready yet, we were given a temporary room, which was newly renovated.

Checked in and experienced their usual impeccable service

Our overall experience was very good. I would have given our stay a score of 5 hadn t it been difficult to advise my Golden Circle number and to check-in.

Prior to checking-in, I had to send my Golden Circle number which your staff couldn t find. I sent a screenshot of my virtual card and had to do that 3 times before they were able to find it.

I also reserved 2 rooms but only one was processed when I gave my ID. We had to check-in for the second room. Apparently, they had booked the other room under the name of my one of my companions which was not in the instruction. I was only asked to provide names of other occupants but did not specify that the booking arrangements will be changed as I provide the list.

On the other hand, your staff managing the room floors are very courteous and friendly. The rooms are adequately equipped and the beds and pillows are comfortable. We also liked that the welcome treats are your specialty breads. We loved our view of the pool and my niece enjoyed the pool facilities.

We had dinner and breakfast buffets but were a little disappointed that salmon sashimi was not available. We all enjoyed the ribeye steak.

Elegant place situated near malls. Wifi connection is poor at certain floors. But at the lobby, it can go up to 6Mbps download, 6Mbps upload. The wifi is not protected by password. Aircon cools slowly. Room is very clean. No annoying smells. Plenty of sockets in the room (I counted 7 available power outputs), all at 220V. Bathroom has included hair blower/dryer. Steam iron is also available. Breakfast at their HEAT Dining/restaurant is 4/5 as to food choices. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:30am. In-room dining is also available. Gym is free as of time of this post. Pool use was also free.

our check in was seamless, rooms were clean and spacious, wonderful time at the gym (well equipped), not crowded, my boys enjoyed the pool as well. dinner with family at Heat and breakfast at the bar & lounge.- thank you.

Its always chill in this hotel. Stress is not its language.keep it up.

I highly appreciated the front desk attitude in accommodating my request for an early check-in & late check-out (since I was with my mom who is 80y/o) I just miss the welcome fruit plate that used to come with the room.

Big hotel with all the facilities you want. Friendly staff, and lots of them. Good food options, specifically the breakfast has a lot of good options. Good swimming pool surrounded by a nice garden. Rooms are good sized and comfortable.

The pool in the hotel is so good that it is perfect for children to play. We could have breakfast in the lounge with a glass of wine and cocktails. Room was corner sweet and was spacious.

we had to wait for the front desk to find the room, which was nice to see if we just dropped the original room? is it in the sink that it is not going to drop the water then the bath tab is also not going to go down?

My boss celebrated her 81rst Bday here..their buffets ....wow...
