We had a very pleasant stay. They have accommodated my request for an early check in. And the staff has given us a brownie as a welcome for my 2 year old kid, though I was expecting a little teddy bear, but that was okay. The staff was really friendly and attentive. Overall we enjoyed our stay especially my daughter. The hotel has a kid friendly amenities i must say esp. the pool.

1. Check in time took too long .
2. Nobody assisted us in the valet service during our arrival.
3. No luggage assistance was offered. We had to request for someone to take our luggage for us.
4. We did not receive the usual welcome fruits.
5. No one assisted us in the gym. Gym attendant was just doing his own work out.
6. Inconsistent instructions on where to present the car pass provided.
7. Untrained guards to provide assistance on our inquiries regarding parking.
8. Unclean pool water which caused ear infection for our toddler.

Stayed in Manila at this hotel. I liked the hotel very much. The food was simply gorgeous. Soon we are going back to Manila to this hotel and have already taken more days. I liked the SPA very much. The hotel is close to the shopping center I recommend
Now stayed at this hotel this year, As always, everything is beautiful, the food is just as good. The whole hotel is decorated for the new year.
We were yesterday in the spa salon in the hamam and then after on the body scrub and washing it. This year I did not like it. At first the hamam was not warmed up, but we were given only five minutes and then the stone table on the scrub was cold and we just froze. to warm up in the shower !!!! No more going. There is a wonderful steam room and also free in the hotel's sports club. I recommend her to everyone

I am writing what has changed in 1.5 years at this hotel
Breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the hotel have risen in price, yesterday they were at dinner, it now costs $ 55 per person, but there is little choice in the buffet compared to previous years. They did not get pleasure, they just stuffed their stomachs with various incompatible foods. And the food did not taste good. , the choice of desserts did not please, and the ice cream stood on our table for 15 minutes and even did not melt, most likely there was only one chemistry in it. Previously, it was impossible to break into the buffet for dinner, but now there are many empty tables.
One feels that the hotel is going through its hard years, the crisis is evident.
The phone in the room is barely charging, the number of rooms has not changed, although updates must already be made.
Yes, and for smokers, there used to be a good area on the street where you could sit and smoke without disturbing children and non-smokers, but now they made a smoking area on the second floor next to the tennis courts, so that now the athletes suffocate and walk to it decently and the view of this zone is simply depressing
If you are a 5 star hotel, please make this area more convenient for people.
And then there is one sofa all skewed
Some disappointments in this hotel this year
I think this is our last stay in this hotel. It is very difficult after a good hotel, but we were in Amanpulo to live in a hotel that has aged a lot and causes one disappointment
And yet this was our third visit to this hotel and we always ordered rooms with a view of the pool, but we were always placed in a room with a view of the windows in the windows of the building, where there is a high-rise car parking.
The view from the window is very annoying
Moreover, in room 5 of the star hotel there is simply nothing in the mini-bar in the refrigerator, there is nothing in the room and there is no menu in the room for ordering food in the room.

Connected to Shari-LA mall for shopping branded goods. Visit the cinema if u have time to kill. Hotel has a world class gym opens till late at midnight. Must try it out. My recommendation to stay at the garden wing with direct access to the poolside and Heat restaurant for Shang famous breakfast

Its old. The decor no longer conveys opulence. The state of the conference rooms are drab and gloomy with no natural light, and the carpets are in a poor state. The same can be said about the rooms.

Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficiently handled. There was just one issue that we had to wait for almost 40mins for our order of potato wedges (poolside) and when we requested for kechup it didn't arrive. Otherwise stay was excellent.

The service was really excellent. I was already provided with care even before I asked the front desk for checking-in. I also remember Noli Soldevilla who made it easy for us to check-out. He immediately attended to us when we were just halfway approaching the front desk and it did not take too long to finish the checking-out process.
Regarding room preparations, it is good that there are plenty of options to suit the guests' preferences even up to the pillows. I opted for the standard pillows as it was a surprise for my parents and I cannot ask them directly as it will give away hints. Maybe on my next stay, I might choose other options.
Location of EDSA shangri-la is positioned very well that it has access to shangri-la mall with ease.
My parents really enjoyed their stay and even stated that they want to have a longer vacation. I couldn't talk much about the whole experience as I did not personally stay long enough and did not sleep in the rooms. But the only reason I could not give a full score is because when we asked to borrow additional cutlery and plates in-room, we were told that there is an additional charge. I'm not sure why there is a charge on borrowing cutlery and plates.
Overall, my parents enjoyed their stay and that would mean a good thing as they are more keen on details.

Wonderful place. Breakfast: best I've had in my life. Great staff, vast variety, pretty environment. Room was nice, I enjoyed staying there. Security was good (metal detectors, staff, dogs lol). The "Italian" restaurant on the second floor gets 3 stars at best. This isn't an Italian restaurant...at all. But the rest of the experience more than made up for that restaurants shortcomings. They have a nice pool area (didn't use but I walked around it). A spa as well. Ruffly $100USD per person.

Everything was good, but because it was an old tower, the room has no bathtub.
I can not help because I requested a connecting room.
It would have been nice to tell you in advance that there is no bathtub.

Although is is already my nth time in Edsa Shangri...

Although is is already my nth time in Edsa Shangrila I still feel the excitement of going there. I have been to the different Shangrila Hotels in Metro Manila but the Edsa Shangrila remains to be my favorite. We loved our room that much. The food we had in our room was great. Its worth the price. I am so elated to have shared the moment with 79 year old mother. Thank you so much for accommodating her so well when I was still in the conference. The staff were really so kind to her and they were so attentive for her needs.God bless you all.

Staff were all super friendly. Was a lovely place but not so posh that I felt uncomfortable. Beautiful pool, great breakfast. Only thing I would suggest for improvement is labelling foods as vegetarian or not.

The experience was great! Good people around. Pleasantly received. No eyebrows raised. No dumb moments. Efficient. Just what I needed. Although the reception line was vague. I didn't know if there was actually a line or you just cue yourself to a counter. There were ushers standing there, but they were just standing or talking to some guests for a very long time losing their opportunity to guide other guests.
The shower glass door in our room 1328 clicks in a bad way when you open it. Felt it will fall on me every time I open the door.
On breakfast, one of the chef cooking the eggs gave me a burned cheese omelet. Didn't even change it, just gave it to me to be over with. Didn't got his name, but he was standing near the Dimsum on the breakfast of jan 28.

My check in process was excellent Kevin and Anna were very helpful and were so nice. Housekeeping was also very good and attended to our needs. My only concern is that I developed allergies and it was particularly active in the ballrooms, may I suggest carpets vacuumed more often

Stayed 2 weeks, all staff came to know me on a personal level within a few days, not just the standard nice greeting, but rather exceptional service. Best employees in the world. A true 5 star experience. Convenient, safe location. Relatively easy access to everywhere. Great for leisure time, equally great for business meetings.

One of the best staycations I had! Good facilities and excellent service! We stayed during Holy Week, one of the busiest seasons especially in hotels. I was expecting to have delays but to my surprise, everything went so smoothly and exceeded my expectations!

I booked with my credit card online. Details were already given re cc. Check in and check out was a hassle. I checked in at 8am since i am attending a convention there also and would not be able to check in later that day. They again asked for my card. Have me signed asked if i will be settling with cc and agreed to do so. Keys were available by 12 nn wc was good thing. Upon checkout, i already signed the card included in the keycard that says for faster check out i just need to sign and they will charge me and send my rcpt via email. I am attending a convention, why i did not want to be hassled of checkout during the day. But, they still want me to present my card again. I thus missed out an important discussion during the convention. They shld have charged me during the check in right away. I did not even purchased anything so there was no addtional on my bill. Check out was a hassle.

I always stay in Edsa Shang every time I visit home so that already shows how i love this hotel. The people are the nicest, the rooms are always well-kept, the service is always prompt and the facilities are above par. The location is perfect because all you need are just a stone's throw away. I just noticed one thing recently which I deem not necessary. You now need to pay P150 for valet parking which should not be because that's supposed to be one of the privileges of in-house guests. The business center also closes very early i.e. at 6pm which may not be suitable for people who have dealings with businesses from other time zones.

My expectation was met, with a delighted heart, i can finally say ive experienced the shangrila way. Pls commend your wonderful staff, especially jowin/jovin the front office personnel, who made very sure all of my requests were given, she did even an extra mile of informing me about the hot shower interruption from 1 to 3am. She informed me, that i can give her a call in the event i wanted to use the hot shower at these wee hours of the night, she would gladly assist me, and have it arranged so as I can relax right away. Its a little stuff, but truth of the matter, this little stuff counts. You have a gem :) the housekeeping personnel who switched our linens, the room service guy who assisted us with our luggages are all a breeze to talk with. What a conversation starter. I remember my OJT days in your hotel, i see myself in them years back, what a flashback.
Most of all, my family had a good time, after having been away from each other for 7 months, now we are together and we get to enjoy it in one of the best hotel i know of in the metro. Keep up the good work you have, I will never forget!

Most relaxing and leisurely stay I love every moment of our staycation. You have a treasure to cherish in your staffs from the Horizon Club lounge Ms Therese Ms Mitch Mr RC Mr Albert were very commendable their service was remarkably great!!!. The housekeeping person Mr Hermignio Jestre was truly efficient very courteous made sure everything in the room was in its best he made sure our needs were met the way he gave service to us is excellent he should be retained for years you really got a treasure worth in him to represent your hotel. The room dining service was also equally great rey attentive servers to details & our requests were met .Mr Jomar Mr Dax & Mr George of concierge & luggage services were very efficient as well the maintenance personell tho needs a little improvement in social skills & verbal exchanges I so love the 1033 suite I stayed on will request for it again on my next staycation Thank you Shangri-La for a most pleasurable stay Cheers & Best Regards Sincerely Amb.Gerardo E.Sunga

The staff here was absolutely amazing! You have plenty of I options in side the hotel wing, including lounges, ballrooms, restaurants, shops, etc. The location is perfect and the rooms were nice! This has got to be the best luxury hotel I have been in the Philippines so far! The pricing is unbeatable, you get so much value for what you pay for, compared to other luxury hotels in other countries! We had a great stay here, 5 stars!
