Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts Abbu Dhabi Review

check in process was very slow and we had a very bad experience with one of the manage, Mr. Hadi, who told us that I DONT WANT TO DEAL WITH YOU ANYMORE. And the a la carte lunch was also very slow and tasteless.
All the facilities were awesome and buffets and brunch was really worth it.

Shangri La hotel is very beautiful and outside is very nice

Lst time i visited BLD restaurant i had very bad experience with the sea food as it was not clean and cause me allergy, and when i contacted the hotel to give my feedback, they thought i was looking for a free meal and they didn't believe what happened to me!!!! when i told them i will escalate they didnt follow up and try to solve the bad experience!!!! Everytime they speak to me they talk in a way that i am looking for free meal. Really very bad experience with unprofessional staffs.

Such a calm and relaxed atmosphere. 200 aed gets you food and drinks along with pool and beach access.

Amazing place,fantastic athmosphere,great food. We loved it and would recommend it as a fab destination to chill out with friends and family.

Fantastic Property. The best service and an amazing view. Celebrating my wofes birthday, we stayed in room 445 and had a spectacular view of the Grand Mosque and canal. We ate at the resorts Vietnamese restaurant and it was so good! Will certainly be back. I recommend getting on board with their golden circle membership programme if not already, instant benefits such as 25% off at any of their restaurants.

Honestly it did not meet the expectations of the beautiful fio but the hotel needs a lot of changes

This market combines all cultures and has a range of the best restaurants

First class hotel, service A1, food A1, rooms A1 would I come back or recommend to others ? Definitely not - regret that from lunchtime to dusk the locals with there modified extremely noisy jet ski's gather on the beach opposite the pool area & race round for hours creating a hidious noise that frankly ruins the experience.

The staff was amazing and very helpful and accommodating. They where always very prompt to address any issues or concerns and always attend to all my needs even when I didn't ask for help. Thank You. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Good hotel nice room all facilities in the room i like it for 14 days quarantine, just only point I didn't like reception is not picking up phone mostly sometimes away from counter staff is good food is really delicious.

Our stay in your Hotel was a very nice experience. Everything is very clean an comfortable. But for the bigger part it is your team that is always thoughtful in helping and be of assistance. Whatever situation. They care about the guests and are just so nice to the kids. We did not have any - not even one - situation where we would think it was not OK. It was quite a nice experience to stay with you.
The only thing we did not like so much was the check-in as our room was not available after a long trip. We understand it that the guest need to check out and the rooms need clean up. But there was not a lot to do than just hang around in the lobby. Those hours - the first impression - was not so nice and I was thinking there could be maybe a room to stay more comfortable, with some toys and playground for the kids. But this was fast forgotten after we where given the room.
The room was very nice also by the way. Although one would almost need a training for the light switches :-).
Summarized: totally cool and fine.
Another suggestion: it would be nice to have an entrance from the beach/pool area to the rooms other than through the restaurant. Maybe from the outside accessible changing rooms going upstairs?

Incredible hotel with exceptional staff who tend to even the smallest need. The views are breathtaking and the rooms are spacious and gorgeous. I hope to visit Abu Dhabi and stay in this hotel again in the future. Thank you for giving us a great experience.

Fantastic hotel with absolutely impeccable service. Restaurants are top notch especially the Chinese restaurant on lower floor. Infinity pool, boat rides through moats surrounding the hotel and easy access to the beach are just some of the other luxuries. Can't say enough good things about the Shangri-La Abu-Dhabi. Thank you.

Breakfast and other services were satisfactory..I felt comfortable while my stay.

Very elegant, lovely service and stunning location on top of a hill. The dim sum was fab as well.

The staff is gem of the property leaving no stone unturned to make your stay a memorable experience, Carmen in the reception gave a wonderful upgrade from deluxe room to residence apartment was icing on cake. Good value for money , recommend for families with kids as they will have fun time in pools and beach.

Awesome room and loved the jacuzzi...balcony view was beautiful..would be back again, soon.

I lived in UAE for 12 years and had a million stay-cations, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. Service was super, royal treatment, amazing room-service food, clean and comfy rooms. We were there for one night celebrating our wedding anniversary. I casually said that to one of the staff during breakfast and before I know it we had a small cake congratulating us brought by all breakfast staff! This is what makes a hotel stand out . Also make sure to try the massage, it's worth every dirham!

We had an awesome time at the Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri. During check in and check out both Loubna and Leavana were very friendly and helpful.

All of the staff within the hotel are very helpful and polite. Service is exceptional you will have no reason to complain at all.

Defiantly have dinner or lunch at Shang Palace. Grace was super friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes off the menu.

Can't wait to visit again

Beautiful hotel... pool area could have been bigger

Excellent venue for conferences. The restaurant buffet is top notch.

I need to start by saying that this was my favorite hotel in Abu Dhabi when I first visited Abu dhabi many years ago and then I with my wife decided that this hotel will not only be our favorite hotel but our favorite destination and it started growing in us and we started visiting Abu Dhabi once to twice per year just to stay at this hotel to enjoy every spot in it whether the room, the balconey, the breakfast resturant, the shisha bar, the Chi spa and all other facility. We rarelly go out of the hotel because we found it extremely comfortable and joyful. We have even started travelling to Oman to stay at Shangril La becuase of our passion to this brand. Now I am not sure I feel the same about it because of this last stay and I can say that it was too unpleasant since the arrival until the departure. It was well known that we are a loyal guest to this hotel with a golden circle membership too but non of this was put into consideration and we were handled very badely from arrival and then again on departure specially when we struggled with the front desk to sort out our problem where finally and after many back and forth and many calls and different people to talk to and the only one that knew how to handle it is Mr. Lundon (DM) who I believe took it on himself to make us feel better. I will now think many times before I decide to stay at Shangri La Abu Dhabi again!

Amazing five star hotel which has almost everything the gest desire, such as markets, restourans,spa and much more facilities.

Unfortunately the iconic view of the mosque from the Shangri-la has been ruined by new construction. The pool is really nice, the service was good. Bathrooms and changing rooms are a bit far and not very big (I was traveling with a baby) so it made it a bit more complicated. There were ramps which helped to make it accesible.

An amazing hotel great situation opp the beautiful Grand Mosque . Food is THE best!

Went to the lobby lounge for something to eat, fantastic service from Mayra, so polite and friendly, couldn t have been more helpful. Very impressed with her service, will definitely be returning just for that.

Very good family holiday. Our first stay at a Shangri La hotel. Staff was very nice, food too much and too good! and services was first class. Would highly recommend.
Only downsides experienced was that our turn-down service could have been better and bins cleared out within that service instead of me having to request it via a phone call.
The other thing that could have been better was upgrade us to two rooms next to each other instead of asking us to pay a fee to upgrade.

Check in process was not very good at the horizon club. Wasn't made to feel very welcomed, not offered arabic coffee etc. (Abu Dhabi was much better)

Horizon club lounge was small and poo compared to other hotels of it's level (i.e. Conrad). Food selection was poor and staff wasn't very friendly.

Better than what I expected to find here. Dim Sum was good, but I'll have to try the chicken feet next time to make sure! Will come again, beautiful hotel, great service. More tea show too!

Amazing place to stay during your visit. Great view in the evening. Just visit the back side beach view , hard to go back....amazing and lovely. Worth paying.

it was my first visit to shangri la , i realy love the place ,room,pool,staff every thing was perfect the only negative thing is the food ( dinner & brunch is not that much variety of food & quality aswel not good for a 5 *
except that one every thing was fantastic thanks for all the staff

Unfortunately we had room on the first floor over entrance, so noisy and partly on swimming pool. It was barely a window to open without strangers have seen in and therefore no privacy possible. The worst room in the whole hotel.

The Shangri La is a very nice hotel that puts a lot of emphasis on good service and cleanliness. The staff are super friendly and courteous, great! The hotel has several pool and 2 beach sections, one of the pools is on the roof, and only allowed for persons over 16 years. Of course there is also a gym and the possibility of beauty treatments. The hotel has several restaurants and bars. Since we had half board we were unfortunately always only in the same restaurant food, that would be a point you can do better. The food in the Sofra was set up as a buffet and all in all, good. Great choice and to find something different every day. Breakfast was great, especially in the horizon club. One should mention that not because of the hotel is a busy street, you always hear a certain background noise. Otherwise, the hotel is also located in a flight of a small airport in the middle of Abu Dhabi. It may be that on one day only a plane comes but it can also happen that 10 fliers pass the day.

The best sea food night in town. But every Thursday at Sofra restaurant

Very nice and the popular restaurant in it is wonderful

I had a wonderful time and I will be back to the same place next week
