Excellent hotel. Great service. Great views of the Grand Mosque. The personnel is so kind and always willing to help and to make sure you enjoy yourself. Lots of activities to do at the beach (jet sky, kayak, etc). Furthermore they have their own little boat for their own little river (awesome!).

The only "BUT" is that it is far away from the city centre, but that is ok if you want you want to get lost and want some privacy.

Unfortunately, upon my arrival, in the room that was assigned to me the AC was not working, we called for assistance, the resident engineering team tried to fix it, but when I came back after dinner was still not working, so I had to call the reception again and finally they changed my room. I was not expecting this from a resort of this class. Moreover, there was no chance to stream the content of my iPhone or iPad to the TV, so I couldn t have any Netflix or similar service. Services in the all day dining was slow, but good. Very slow service at poolside, where I ordered a lunch, and the bread came when I had already finished it. At the check out, after I have settled my account and paid, I have asked to print two tickets, they brought me to the business Centre and only after I have printed, they told me that this service was a paid one and they charged me the equivalent of 6 Euros for 2 pages printed in color (less than 5%). I supposed was a complimentary service and they should not charge a customers for a service like this. The valet parking service brought me back my car, but they have broken the inside separator of the capote in the trunk of my convertible because they have tried to put my baggage with no care at all. Stay was fine, but I was expecting a far better experience from a facilities of such class, and I actually choose it because I didn t want to have any problem at all, which instead I had.

It was our 1st experience at the Shangri-la Abu dhabi and we loved the hospitality. The property is luxurious and the view of the Grand mosque from our private room balcony was breathtaking. The infinity pool has a relaxing sunset view. Evening boat ride at the canal gives a romantic Venice feel...it's a must try for the guests.

Staff were very friendly and helpful but service was slow. Rooms are under our expectations for five star and smelt slightly damp. Having stayed in many hotels in the UAE we felt the hotel was under par for its rating.

Because of the Abu Dhabi government's policy of encouraging transit and subsidized sightseeing (forgetting whether it is subsidized because of the fasting month), I was fortunate to stay in this hotel for two nights. I didn't expect everything here to be so memorable. The room terrace faces the magnificent Abu Darby Mosque, beautiful! There is a large bathroom and bathtub in the room, which makes people willing to be an otaku! For this reason, I put a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on the outside of the door as soon as I entered the room until I checked out. The service staff would hand over an envelope through the door every few hours to ask intimately, "If you need any room service, please inform the front desk. Oh!" Very sweet!

From checking in the welcome tea to checking out the thank you card, the whole process was taken care of, completely impeccable, I was greeted warmly and sent me a ride warmly~ the point is! The door man who received me on the first day called me by my name after I left the hotel s door and asked if I had a good stay and a good time? I hope my journey will be pleasant afterwards~ It is really pleasantly surprised that my name is remembered! Can t help but wonder if the receptionist has a memo with the name of each guest~

I want to come back again! It may be said that the most beautiful memory in this life is too exaggerated, but I really have a great memory here! ! Thank you to all the hotel members who created beautiful memories for the guests!

The suite where I stayed, was not arranged despite being large, I meant to distribute the lounge, the room, the bathroom and the wardrobe.
Shower doors are glass and anyone can see everything, I was harassed by my children when they entered the bathroom and therefore i had to stop and take them out.
Also the big problem I encountered was that I came to the hotel at 2pm and entered the suite at 4 pm, my family was upset that I was coming with my wife and my three children.
That's a bad experience with your hotel.our hotel

however breakfast & dinner at sofra boulevard below average. Poor labelling of food, slow erratic service, slow to replace buffet items. Beach food service also slow.

The view from the pool and the room is good. SPA facilities and services were also good. I was in trouble because the restaurant I booked when arriving early in the morning was canceled.

The good...Chinese restaurant food and service was excellent. Pool was inviting, room service was on point, quality staff for our girls watching the outdoor film.

Wanting for improvement...Check-in took 20 minutes. Request to be located near our friends wasn't met (same floor, different wings), breakfast, while adequate, was repetitive, pool area pizza order wasn't delivered.

Shangri-la is my favorite hotel. As soon I arrived to the hotel people outside were wonderful and helpful and same when I depart.
The receptionist Luobna is nice lady with a nice smile. I met her at the check in and check out. She did her job with professional level and fast.

The staff were excellent in a warm and professional fashion. The accommodation was clean and spacious. The checking staff and front lobby staff are examplary by any stsndards.
Why isn t it a 5 these are the reasons and not in any particular order:
1 Rain drop showers are low pressured
2 Balcony seating is uncomfortable for any length of time.
3 egg station staff are not able to make a great omelette they tend to over cook the eggs and are unable to keep up with moderate demands in the morning
4 Buffett hot food is not at correct temperature for example roast potatoes are always Luke warm
5 one very disturbing behaviour my wife and I noticed was one of the Chinese staff ladies in the chi spa (14:15 on 15/9/18) was relatively indifferent on welcoming to Indian or Anglo Indian clients and upon a white westerner she immediately stood to attention on welcoming the guest. I did not point this out at the time and I did not wish to create any tension.
6 TV selection was poor for this standard hotel for example no premier league football channels, it would make a difference to whether we rebook.
7 Good quality coffee and teas will make a big difference.

Overall a professional and well run hotel with great staff in a comfortable and clean environment to be proud of. I hope the suggestions are useful as we are seasoned travellers.

I had arrived very early before check-in time, but the staff was able to get me into a room with an amazing view. Everyone during my stay was very nice and professional. The bed was comfy, the view of the Grand Mosque was relaxing, and the hotel grounds was very well maintained and vibrant.

The Spa amenities was a very well appreciated perk. The restaurants were delicious, and the whole vibe of the hotel was very "Shangri-La".

When you arrive at the Sufra restaurant / Buffet. Ask for Chef Marwan! He is kind, generous, and simply the best!

Peace be upon you ... my brothers, if I am talking about the Shangri-La Hotel, I am talking about the experience of 4 months. The day in the hotel is excellent, especially the Safra restaurant and a sweet hand, and in a coffee at the entrance to the hotel, which is not sweet and you can choose between the night bar on the balcony or inside + the swimming pool and the beautiful views of the sea and Sheikh Zayed Mosque + an outdoor bar at the pool that offers some meals and juices and in its sitting more than Wonderful on the beach and they have a shisha + and the market of Qaryat Al-Beri. You can walk from the hotel from the back to the market and you can order a car dog car from the lobby that connects you to a market. In short, the hotel is beautiful. On the sea along ....

The laundry service, I can say that it is good or acceptable, especially in ironing (ironing) to the extent that I have started to wash my clothes under the hotel and the laundry prices are expensive and fancy

the structure of the hotel was standard 5 star but the service from all staff was exceptional I truly felt very welcomed at this hotel and things were done as if your staff anticipated my thoughts! excellent service in the club room and also thanks to Malik on floor 4 attending to all the needs in the room and ensuring everything was perfect and beautifully clean
