Everyone at your hotel was very polite and very helpful with any question or query we had. The food in every restaurant was excellent.

Everyone knows what to expect from a place like Shangri-La and they did not disappoint. But more than that, it was those extra, little things that they did that made a world of a difference - we needed medication from the pharmacy and they arrange for it by following up with the pharmacy and ultimately collecting it themselves before delivering to our room. After we came back to the room after room service, we found beautiful bookmarks on our sheets (maybe after they saw the books that littered the room that we were reading from) which was a very nice and thoughtful touch and even when things were not on the menu during the buffet the chefs extended their help in preparing variations of the dishes according to our dietary needs. Hands down, one of the best experiences we have had internationally across the many places we have stayed.

More than anything, it's a step above the usual luxury stays - these guys know a thing or two about giving people some peace of mind during the stay. Kudos to the teams at the Shangri-La, Abu Dhabi!

Excellent 14-day stay. Good breakfast, nice Chinese restaurant. Friendly staff. Brilliant sunset at the beach, a leisure boat ride. Good pools and gym. (Never get a chance to try the spa). Made the beginning of my long stay in Abu Dhabi a memorable one. Special thanks to staff Cindy and Durga, your smiles lighten up my days without fail. Kudos.

Dear Shangri La,
It is an extreme please in writing a review for the hotel and to also provide some of our thoughts with you.
Lets start with the front door staff. Jamal, Wai, Siju, Saddam, Bikram and Amir, looked after us very well. They greeted us all the time with a smile and always looked out for us. They were willing to help at any cost and made our stay really comfortable.
Next, I would like to mention the housekeeping team, especially Alaa, who continuously made sure our room was made up and gave us all the amenities that we needed. He again continuously asked if we needed anything else and made sure our rooms were at their best.
Finally I have to mention the pool team. Ruwan, Ram, Devemdra and the rest of the pool bar team. Their service was excellent and again another set of staff that continuously looked out for us. They kept coming over to us asking if we were OK and spent time with us having various conversations.

Our stay ta the hotel was absolutely wonderful and it was made better with all the staff mentioned above amongst others. They are a credit to the hotel and without them I am sure they stay would not have been as good. Everyone is well mannered and they treat you with respect. They also take the time out to help you and were very very friendly especially with my two young girls.

The rooms were great and the service was amazing. The food throughout the complex has been good and the facilities excellent. My only suggestion is the shuttle service. It would have been better if there were more frequent runs to the various destinations as the timings at the moment may not work out for everyone.

On arrival there was some confusion about the rooms and although the issue was resolved it could have been explained a lot better than it was.
For the buffet restaurant, I think dinner choices could be better and adding more options for vegetarians, this would defiantly help many people.

This is really an amazing hotel, but made all the better with the staff that work their.

Nice homy pleasantly comfortable and cozy room with a fully equipped kitchen and settings for four. Large washroom and very comfy beds. Perfect for my needs. Great location...right on the canal, minutes away from stores and restaurants, but definitely I recommend to friends and will back soon. staff are nice and great.

Luxury Hotels rock, So is this hotel, I got a lot to say but that might waste my time, anyways, The pool is amazing! It's not deep and if your kids are going to this hotel, the swimming pool is the perfect size, amazing rooms, really tall halls, As I said, not alot stuff to say but, It has a beach! on the river! [i dont know] I recommend this if you are on Abu Dhabi and looking for an hotel!

The hotel facilities are amazing and we loved how the staff is so welcoming and helpful. The staff made our experience wonderful. The breakfast and pool area was very good, it exceeded our expectation. Also that we were allowed using the pool after check out was very nice and made our short stay even better. View from balcony gets a 10/10. Only thing that we were not happy about was the smell in our hotel room which was quite intense (Humid/mold smell). This is the part that pulls our overall experience score down as it is an important factor for us. If this was better I would have recommended your hotel to anyone who is going to visit Abu Dhabi.

Suit room was very clean with a nice view. Accommodating and friendly staff. They have the very nice dinner and buffet breakfast.

Came for our Anniversary celebrations with Friday Brunch & free beach access. staff created wow movement great good specially for sea food lovers:)
Boat ride highly recommend AED 25 each ,complimentary for in house guests.
Also you can walk to the souk which is in the same premises.

You can never go wrong when staying at a Shangri-La. Friendly staff, clean rooms, amazing food.

Stayed here last May 2018 for 2 nights with my husband and we enjoyed every bit of experience we spent there. First of all, room was neat and tidied up properly, cleaners were very prompt in tidying the room whenever we would request for it to be cleaned. The buffet was satisfying, lots of options to choose from, however we only had that for breakfast and went to azzuro for dinner. We loved this Shangri-La hotel since it has everything you need, it has its own Village type Souk and other restaurants. Cart rides (forgot the exact term) were always available to get you to the residence area to the main hotel building. Infinity pool fitted perfectly just outside the hotel's restaurant and has a wonderful sight of the Grand mosque from afar as well as people riding boats or jetskis. I could not list down everything since it was such a nice experience. The place is worth the price and its name. Looking forward to coming back here next year! Almost forgot to mention about their courteous and professional staff who always had smiles in their faces! :) Oh they also have Abras (local boats that will bring you to and fro different areas of the hotel even up to Traders' side)

Impeccable hotel, I recommend it to all travelers, we were treated very well, there is no comment to be made, not to praise for the whole team, on this trip I made for 1 month I stayed at three hotels Sandri-la and everyone without exception treated us very well, hugs and hope to return, Congratulations !!! by the whole team.

The most beautiful hotel ever, very excellent especially the hotel residence and comfortable as if you were living in a park. There are 2 beaches and 2 swimming pools.

The only downside we experienced was the Lady who took care of us when we checked in. She was quiet unfriendly and had a bit of an attitude. Other than that, everybody was very kind and helpful.

I m writing to thank You and Your outstanding staff for an amazing stay I had in Shangri-La hotel.

As soon as I walked into the lobby for check in i knew i were in good hands because i was welcomed by Polina with a sincere warm smile. I was impressed by her professionalism. Polina offered me to become a Golden Circle Member so i can enjoy all the benefits of this program, she gave me a detailed description of all the hotel facilities and made me feel like at home escorting me to my room and making sure i have everything i need for an enjoyable stay. Also It was very kind of Polina to show me Horizon club lounge and introducing to two wonderful people working there Edgar and Deidre. I visited the lounge a few times and every time Edgar and Deidre surprised me by their attention to details. Edgar would always ask about my satisfaction with the food served and Deidre knew my preferred drink after only 1 visit, it s truly 1st class service in Horizon club lounge.
I d like to mention another two friendly staff members who were the first ones to make me smile every morning during breakfast, Durga and Grace. Their positive energy would make anyone smile and drink detox water offered by Durga:) Grace and Durga are so personal and sincere with their guests. I must admit that the service is impeccable, my plates were cleared so fast and drinks always replenished.
The gentlemen who work by the pool are always welcoming and smiling, always making sure their guests enjoying the pool and keeping them refreshed with cold towels.
My room was always perfectly clean and a fruit platter was a very nice touch.
I ve visited more than 60 countries and stayed in countless hotels including 7 star, but i never wrote a feedback because i ve never been so touched as i was in Shangri-La hotel by amazing people who work there. It s not about great facilities that the hotel can offer, but people who make you feel welcomed. I really hope that above mentioned members of your team will be recognized because they are so valuable,dedicated and they love what they do, making other people happy.

This is one of our favourite hotels to stay. I just love everything in here... from the room interiors, amenities, facilities and food.

Very nice hotel. I love sofra restaurant. They have amazing buffet starting from 7 pm.

My wife and I enjoyed the grandeur and ambience of the hotel and grounds, and were comforted by the standard of cleanliness in these troublesome times.

The cuisine and extensive range dishes were expertly prepared and served, making dining an experience in itself.

However, the most impressive aspect of our stay was the genuine warmth and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was so very kind and welcoming to us with a sincerity we have rarely experienced in many of the finest hotels in the UAE. You have every right to be proud of your team and we would be grateful if you would please pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making our stay such a memorable experience . We are already looking forward to our next visit.

The room i have booked was perfect clean and sanitized , but the break fast menu had no varieties , the beach was overly crawdad and small , passing boats and jeski made it uncomfortable

I went for surf and turf buffet but the fish variety wasn't that much and the fish taste was bad however the meat was within the average, overall the food quality and taste was average but below my expectation.

the service very good, but if I have one comment that after I finish my first dish they removed the empty dish with leaving the used tools on the table instead of replacing a clean one until I asked for :(

the price a little bit pricey compared to the food variety.

what surprises me that they charge us 40 Aed on each bottle of water, although we hadn't informed before ordering it as an unusual thing compared with others as communally is for free.

Everything was good and smooth. Speedy Check in and check out.
Beach not crowded. Food was excellent and very reasonable in price. Had lunch once on beach and once inside room.
Shang Palace restaurant rated averagely as compared to Sofra, which was closed unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions.

We were supposed to get a premium room with garden as an upgrade and as promised during booking, but it was not ready, so settled for a deluxe room upstairs.
Carpet a bit outdated, and smelling humidity odors.

Our stay was amazing. Love the Nubian feel of the place. Poolside and the beaches are the highlight. The room we stayed in was quite large for the price we paid and we were in love with the interior. Goes without saying how courteous their staff is. Azra, the lady on the reception took care of us well.

However we stayed on the third floor and as soon as you enter the corridor there's this bad odour that greets you. I hope they can do something about it. Other than that I will definitely be back and will highly recommend the hotel!

This hotel was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Enchanting place. Extra staff. The staff is struggling to satisfy you. Loubna speaks a little French. The benefits are very appreciable and sometimes surprising. There is a waterway running through the various buildings, just ask at the front desk and the driver takes you via the canal. Thank you to all these people for their attention and good humor that goes beyond their professional obligations.
