Everything was perfect. The hotel is really good. The room with a view of the Mosque is magical. very professional staff, always attentive to the customer, very attentive.

One of the best hotels. Each room, interior, and amenities are antique and luxurious. Service mind is excellent, it is easy to relax and go, food is tidy, the view is good, and it is also good for walking because it is connected by a shopping mall and a kernel next to the hotel.
The downside is... It doesn't work as a business stay. The corridor is so long that it is difficult to go back and forth, and it is inconvenient to go back and forth because it is about 30 minutes away from downtown. Feeling a little isolated.
Anyway, it is a high-quality hotel among Shangri-La and you need to stay overnight.

One of the most beautiful hotels in Abu Dhabi, Shangri-La is a city complete in all respects

Really grumpy staff. Did not encounter one staff member who smiled or cared.

Reception was a long wait and then someone took us upstairs to check in which was better...however the whole process was cumbersome. Check out the same.

Breakfast buffet was terrible. Not edible by the time we arrived. Not a clean table in the entire restaurant and staff couldnt care less that i was waiting at least 5 minutes before being greeted. Their skills in not making eye contact are exceptional.

Would be nice if the hotel restaurants have vegan options so I don't worry about where to eat when I just want is to enjoy and relax at the hotel. We booked a room with breakfast included, felt like not worthy for purchase because not a lot of options for vegan eater like us.

Excellent service, efficient staff, beautiful property, BUT poor food and beverage. I rate it poor as went to Iftar at Sofra restaurant and was disappointed with the food taste and standard of presentation. Given the hotel five star rating I think this is a missed opportunity to showcase arabic food to guests. I also ordered mango juice from pool area and twice received watery juice. Again, why isn't the hotel using fresh fruits of the region to showcase the taste of native fruits? Needs better training of kitchen staff on standards expected for a hotel of this rating.
In Ramadan the shuttle bus is not in operation and this added to the cost of stay, we were not informed of this through booking.

Hotel is opulent, food is amazing. Beach has a view of the Grand Mosque and the hotel is situated next to Souk al Beri where there is a small grocery store, loads of restaurants, and a boat that for a few aed will take you down the canal. The afternoon tea is huge! And the Friday brunch is one of Abu Dhabi's best.

Excellent experience, joined with all my Family (6 pax), also Kids were very happy

Overall it was great stay and good service level, just the pool bar closes at 11 pm is a bit early in my opinion

Everything was absolutely perfect and just as I expected from the Shangri La.
Reception staff, security, Pool staff, and room cleaners were all extremely pleasant and efficient.
I would have to say, however, the real highlights were the standards of food and service in both the Shang Place and the Sofia Restaurant. The return of the buffet for breakfast and Brunch were a masterpiece in excellent food, great service, and perfect hygiene.

Our stay in your ShangriLa was very nice. We enjoyed these 10 days and we will come back for sure. People in the hotel are very helpful and nice, and view, pool, restaurant, club are very very good.
Only small details can be improved, as the water temperature in swimming pool which was not constant (very good during 3/4 days and becoming cold the day after...), TV channels available (nothing to watch Golf Ryder Cup, or Cycling world championship during our stay), location of Horizon club room which are not in the nicest place of the hotel.
But anyway, it was a great stay. Thanks for that.

In general it was good experience with my family.

Some disadvantages :

I ordered food for my kids and it was not cooked well, raw ( chicken )

Ac was not properly working one of the rooms

Broken coffee machine, mini cinema has some issue in the projector

Abit expensive for a villa for one night

Recommendations for the hotel, before you let the guest checking in, double check all the things are working properly and do maintenance.

Fabulous. Private beach. Great pool. Cool place and well located. View of the Mosque Near an excellent Mall. Restaurants of all kinds. Must-see in Abu Dhabi.

Amazing hotel, too bad I only stayed one night! It is a bit far from the city center but the view to the mosque was great.

I think it was not the hotel fault, but my reservation with expedia say traders hotel and after jumping around from place to place on the complex I ended at a room that was not what I expected for the money I was charged.

A very upscale place, I loved the entrance to the hotel and the rooms overlooking the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Great service really made our stay, however we preferred the restaurants and bars in the souk and ritz Carlton as they had a lot more atmosphere.

Also felt when booking a horizon Premier club room a mosque view should be as standard, we were moved to a mosque view which was fantastic but the initial arrival in the bridge view room was very disappointing.

The happy hour at the horizon club could've done with finishing a little later, as a younger couple 530-730 far to early as we're still getting ready to go out.

More staff on breakfast service at the horizon club. Found there to be a lot of empty tables with dirty plates on and people waiting to be served.

All in all a great stay though but a small few easy to fix things could've really made it amazing.

The accomodation and the staff are great, no problem but I noticed some problems. First the overflight of planes and helicopter is troublesome when looking for tranquility. The buffet in the Sofra restaurant is not great neither in terms of taste, nor in terms of provisioning so we find ourselves living in front of empty pots. Very good at 6.30pm but sad around 8pm / 8.30pm or in the morning around 9.45am / 10:00 am. I have observed that the kitchen staff waste a lot of time with room service instead of being able to take care of checking the condition of the buffet. I saw the difference in operation between Muscat and Abu Dhabi so here it is ....
We were advised to take advantage of an offer at the Vietnamese restaurant between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. However, when we arrive at 7.15pm, we can only take advantage of the alcoholic drinks offer for 15 minutes, then afterwards the prices and choice of the menu apply, So no "cocktail" and quickly the white wine and red (after discussion with the manager) sad. As for the quality of the dishes presented for this formula .... not terrible and neither the height of the drop quality two days before when we ate a la carte so for our part a wasted evening despite the good forecasts to spend our last evening in the hotel. (excuse me for the absence of accents etc because I work on an English / Arabic keyboard)

The staff & kitchen chefs are really helpfully in every way, also the food is the best ever they will go out their way to make sure you are satisfied with everything, nothing is too much trouble at all.The lady chefs are amazing !! Especially Kenza outstanding.

I ve stayed here several times before. This time was the best of all best. Staff were truly i retested in us. Room 627 was picture perfect snd lovely view. Couldn t be happier with breakfast and dinner there. Commendations to your chefs and servers.

One of the best Hotel's I have ever seen. The only disadvantage is that the hotel is far from every thing.

Excellent Buffet, Pool overlooking the Great Mosque, Access to the beach.

It is an ideal serene hotel which exceeds in other very luxurious hotels of Abu Dhabi. Best is its restaurant which provides an excellent open buffet.

This is really a seven star place with a near buy shopping center on the beach with few excellent restaurants. The Italian restaurant is great with moderate prices and seating right on the beach.
Abdelwahab restaurant is great too but always full so book in advance.
The steak house has exaggerated prices. But what astonished me is that the prices in all the shops are exactly the same as in other branches that are in a not so luxurious places.

Such a luxury hotel. I love the atmosphere in there.

Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi offers a fair value for money with the summer discounts. However I was a bit surprised by the lack of curation in the details: broken hangers in the bathrooms, still surprised to see carpeted-floor in hotels (germs and allergies), had to change rooms twice because of humidity and smell. Because we paid the room at check-in and decided to pay for services throughout the stay instead of putting expenses in our rooms, a staff member came to empty our fridge, didn't any fruit in the room, or any special Shangri-La welcoming perks for that matter...
Last comment on the common pool downstairs: some guests were swimming with their pants on (black military-style pants), which should be strictly forbidden. Hygiene was left to be desired.

Great location, comfortable room. Perfect for overnight layover in Abu Dhabi.

Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, great food! The bed was too hard for us, but when we asked for a soft mattress topper, they just offered to change the whole mattress into a softer one. We slept like a baby the next nights :-)

If you want luxury, elegance and outstanding service you have found your spot!

My wife and I stayed in a Studio Residences located in a separate building a short walking distance from the main hotel. You can walk to the main hotel by a beautiful walkway in 5 minutes or hop on a gondola via the waterways flowing through the complex. The main pool has great views of the mosque and the nearby traders has a great beach bar and chill out areas (see my attached phtotos).

The main compliment must go to the staff. They were all, with no exceptions, thoughtful, helpful and extremely welcoming. Nothing was too must trouble for them and I would return for that reason alone.

The complete hotel complex with the buildings and the surrounding including the pool, was very good conditioned and super clean. The Souk next door is very handy for a cheap meal and Starbucks. Nothing else around nearby, but taxis are easy and cheap. Grand mosque is close and magnificent (must visit!).

Highly recommended hotel in Abu Dhabi!

It was a good experience, I was in a sanitized room which is excellent I feel safe

A beautiful place with multiple restaurants Outdoor sessions overlooking the lake and meetings within the restaurants There are American, Indian, Brazilian, Covet and Shesha restaurants but lacks an external ventilation system (outdoor conditioning)

I had a very nice stay, the view was astonishing, the pool was good, the room was huge and decent, the bed was very comfy, the staff were very nice, the food was top quality. The only two issues that my room had some weird smell that i got sick of it, and the hotel is a 25 minutes drive from the city.

One of the lively hotels in Abu Dhabi, make sure to check out the small shopping mall connected to it.
