The hotel concierge, Moeen Khan, was extremely knowledgeable and basically planned our daily activities (and deals) for us and arranged transportation throughout every day (including multiple stops).

Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountain are all a 5-10 minutes drive away. The hotel staff here took great care of my family and I during a 5 day trip. We were in somewhat of a tight spot, and needed additional space for another family member at the last minute. Luckily we were able to upgrade the room to include the breakfast buffet and happy hour each day, and in doing so the hotel threw in a room upgrade along with extra mobile bedding and access to the horizon club (with free snacks and light refreshments) for free, instead of having to upgrade to a suite to fit all of my family.

The staff greeted us with smiles each day, and supplied free bottled water whenever requested. The buffet-style breakfast turned out to be a MUST HAVE. The chefs prepared food from a ton of different countries, and all of it was delicious every day. There are also many quick stops for food and financial transfers within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

The ONLY (minor) complaint I have is that regular check-in was at 2:00pm, and we arrived at roughly 8:30am with no early check-in available (they tried to prepare the room in time for us, but had no luck). However, we were able to enjoy lunch at one of the 3 restaurants, wait in the horizon club (great views of the Burj Khalifa) and explore the area in the meantime while they took care of our luggage for us. I would definitely stay here again.

I was told by email to pay full amount at name call "Air port check in" Which is never heard at Shangri-la Hotel system , I have been with your hotel over 10 years. never paying the hotel charge in advance and never heard your "Airport check in" system ? It is the first time and feeling very bad. I hope it is not doing this special thing to me ?

It was really a lovely 3 nights stay and I enjoyed the hospitality. I was given early checked in which is getting rarer in hotels these days and also an upgrade. Breakfast was excellent.

One suggestion - housekeeping knocks on doors quite early at times. When one is on holidays and given the fact that in Dubai most activities goes on late into the night, clients might have an urge to sleep late. My I this suggest at check-in to request clients to give daily timings for making up rooms? Or the earliest time clients would like their rooms doors to be knocked

At times also the full bathroom toiletries were not put. I am sure it's just a small reminder needed. I guess this happened because rooms were cleaned whilst I was in the room. A bit of timing issues

Frankly, the hotel is excellent, entertainment is excellent, and the rooms are excellent
But there is one thing that bothered me very much, it is the villa night club in the last floor, and the guys and girls of the night come out from the lobby and the elevators are right from the rooms. They are actually booking two elevators for the night, but the general view of conservative families is bad. For the lobby area and thank you

Although I wasn't a guest at the hotel, I must add that the staff there went out of their way to help my daughter and me out. My daughter being a professional photographer was keen on taking a pic of the Skyline and the staff made it happen!! Mr Moeen at the concierge desk and Mr Yaseer (doorman) were very hospitable!! Exceptional service gentlemen!! Kudos!!

A perfect experience in Dubai !
The hotel is very centrally located , in close reach to Dubai mall, old Dubai, the marina etc. the rooms are spacious and well decorated. The gym is HUGE and has all machines for both aerobic exercise and muscle pumping. The spa has Jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna , all without extra payment. The breakfast is simply delicious. The view is amazing- ask about the observatory deck in the 42nd floor. But the best thing in this hotel is the staff. So courteous kind and friendly and in the same time helpful and efficient. The breakfast hostess ( from Kyrgyzstan) is so friendly and gives you a feeling of being at home. And the concierges are amazing. We forgot a bag in the room after checkout and found out about it only after arriving to the airport (Dec 22 at 2pm). We called the concierge and in five minutes he arranged to find the bag and put it in a reliable, English speaking taxi driver that brought it to us in no time. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience- we would definitely stay again when we are back in Dubai

The hotel management is horrendous! Never will I stay at any Shangri-La hotels! Completely rude and very unhelpful people!

A 5 star hotel that treat me like in a 7star hotel, good location, good restaurants, good size rooms and modern interior design, friendly staff

From the very welcoming doorman to the helpful reception desk, I was hugely impressed by the friendliness and relaxed style of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and had a great view. The only downside was that I did not find it easy to get just a light breakfast anywhere. A coffee machine in the room would be good.

Attended a wedding reception here and there's an awesome view out of the reception hall! The staff were very accommodating for our requests and the valet service was very quick. There's a great view from the 42nd floor but it was closed later in the night, so if you're attending something here, keep note of that and go earlier for the views!

1. Front desk was helpful in upgrading the room with additional fee. However the 2 room apartment is too huge for us. Anyway the rooms were spacious and good.
2. Front desk was not friendly when approached for other things like inquiring about where to do print out and what time is the shuttle bus and pick up points. Basically no smile on the face. Every one looks stressed except those in the lobby showing the paths.
3. Breakfast was lousy in my opinion comparing to Singapore Shangri-La standard. Fried noodles and chicken sausage were salty. Chinese noodle not cooked well at the instant cooking place. Nobody bothers on asking what drink is needed during breakfast. When asked for milk, they don't ask cold or hot. Just bring whatever they like to. Indian curry is soggy and tasteless. There are lot of people walking around, but nobody has the courtesy to ask the tables what else they need or any help needed, etc.
4. Housekeeping is fair because the the second day, the used towels left on the floor was there as it is. No top up of Tea, sugar and milk. Beds were done correctly.
5. In general this is the first time to Dubai and I cannot compare the standard. However I choose Shangri-la because of the Singapore experience on the food and service and I don't think Dubai Shangri-la is somewhere close.

This place is probably the best for the views of Burj Khalifa, and if you are a guest here it's free to view! One of my images from here came second in the Huawei Hipaa awards!

For me it s a very special place in the heart of Dubai. Great atmosphere with luxury style. With my pleasure I will be back again.

From the moment you get off the car you are immediately greeted with staffs that went out of the hotel just to personally welcome you. Front desk personnel are very accommodating and the rest of the staff were warm and it made you feel like home.

Shoutout to Jonathan in concierge desk for extending a helping hand when our booking for tours got a bit problematic.I know its not his job but he helped us rearrange and contact the operators. He made sure that we still get to enjoy Dubai as how I planned it to be.

The room with the Burj Khalifa view is one of the best hotel room view that one can ever imagine. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again when I return in the coming years.

Room is excellent, good standard and clean. Breakfast very good. Internet very good. Staff very good. Pool area is a little small for the size of the hotel, many guests eat, drink and smoke in the pool.

Some other guest are quite obnoxious and the staff are scared to confront them. Such as 3 men sat at the swim up bar with their own sound player, playing their own music loudly which clashed with the hotel music. Staff would not say anything even though I complained. At breakfast children are ignored by their parents and left running around and climbing all over the seating. Again staff too scared to say anything. And small children running around and jumping in the pool as their parents sat on a watched as the life guard constantly tried to stop these children for their own safely. Staff are very courteous but the hotel needs to not be scared to confront guests when they are clearly over stepping the mark and effecting other guests experience.

We was staying in shangri-la hotel Dubai last couple of weeks back, Hotel is having amazing location & view of worlds tallest building Burj khalifa, me and my family spend 3 days in the hotels.. complete staff of the hotel was very energetic and smiling whole day. Rooms are good cleaning on time to time, I would like to thank you all for the best service specially we are very much impressed with Mr Mujtaba the travel consultant guy he is having very good knowledge and sense of planning the tours day by day. The best hotel for quality and service I have ever been to.

Shangrila is always a elegant place to stay, I personally love it. although I have to say that the dubai Shangrila on Sheikh Zayed is not on par with the one I stayed in in Kuala Lumpur.

We only had a one night stop over at the Shangri-la Hotel but I was very impressed with great service from their fantastic staff.
We arrived very early after a long haul flight and were hoping to drop our luggage because we were several hours before check-in. But we were welcomed with open arms and taken to our room. We were very grateful for this and everything else their wonderful staff did for us.

Pezimo hotel check in bad do not respect schedules. Bad Wi-Fi Problems with lights, curtains. Very badly located. To go anywhere you have to take a taxi or wait for a shuttle to the Dubai Mall with my peak hours per day. NOT RECOMMENDABLE. The staff is attentive but by all the other problems in general a bad hotel.

The service is poor the experience was disgusting and the manager never show up when problems with the rooms are there my friends found a use condom on he's room on the check in and nothing was Done

Amazing service and the breakfast and pool area were both superb. Do the walk up the stairs from 6am-9am daily - the views are worth the workout.

Beautiful hotel with amazing view of the city! If there's a hotel that you'd like to splurge in Dubai where you want to see a spot on view of the skyline, check out this place as it offers an incredible panoramic skyline. Friendly and professional staff. Head to Level 42 lounge area (for Horizon Club Members) or just book a room with a view of the Burj Khalifa.

Amazing atmosphere..Really Nice hotel and very friendly staff...

I was very disappointed with my experience at the Shangri-La Dubai. This was my first interaction with Shangri-La and I am not sure I would go back to one. Upon check-in, the concierge was rude and the wait times at the front desk were a bit much. We felt that we were trying to be sold upgrades and this and that upon check-in without much context. On our second day, we tried to take the free shuttle and were told the wrong times twice by the porters at the back door, being told that "It would just be easier if we got our own car", the second time this happened I went to the front desk, after a long wait to speak to someone, we naturally missed the shuttle [of the wrong informed time] and the concierge that helped us was not friendly at all. The manager at the time did his best to amend the situation, but was not particularly friendly about it. The rooms were also extremely dated.

The whole pool situation was not great either. Upon booking we understood that there was a large pool for the guests, we were not aware that this area was essentially shared with a club area [a la Las Vegas]. Pool attendants were rude when we searched for chairs to lay around the pool, telling us to 'come back later'. There was also constantly a shortage of seats and towels. We spent ages trying to get drinks from the bar, never received the bottles of water poolside we were told were coming on several occasions/ and even after asking politely.

Additionally, it was to our understanding that this elevated hotel would not be a big 'family' hotel. The sound of children crying, screaming and running around early in the morning and late at night was not expected at all and not part of the experience we believed we had booked.

I do want to take a moment though, to thank the doormen/porters at the front of the hotel and the shuttle driver [for when we finally got on the shuttle] for being extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. They were the highlight of our Shangri-La experience.

Hotel was intimate while still having all services - staff was superb.

We were only here for dinner and are thrilled with the kitchen and the service offered here. There is a Chinese and a Vietnamese restaurant on a high level!

Bit of hick up checking in. However Duty Managers Axshat and Assem were quick on their feet and rectified everything. Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay here. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Had a wonderful time here at this incredible hotel. The service is outstanding and very nice rooms. The staff is wonderful.

The hotel is five stars but unfortunately it is the cheapest chain of Shangri-La hotels which I have tried in most of the world and most of the rooms are not refurbished and the breakfast is zhmmmmm and at night the inconvenience and the views are treacherous and the club !!

Everything was awesome from the friendly and helpful staff to the location of the hotel. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast variety was outstanding. We will stay again if travelling to Dubai

A classic hotel in Dubai. Expensive but good service.

Great service, good location, breakfast offered with great choices. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Staying on the side with a view of the Burj Khalifa - no disappointed here, day or night. Spa facilities are nice, service here and around reception as well as the entrance is as expected. Short taxi ride to Dubai Mall or even walk if outdoor temperatures are bearable. Outstanding hotel in Dubai. Wonderful service, staff genuinely cares about making you feel welcome and taken care of. From hosting events, business meetings or even just staying as a tourist, the Shangri-La puts an expert and personal touch in everything they do. The Spa is fabulous and their deep tissue massage provides welcome relief after a long trip. The hotel is centrally located and easily accessible even with Dubai traffic.

The most dedicated staff that I have ever experienced so far. I highly recommend the Horizon Lounge, so to choose an upgrade for the room and experience almost endless comfort and care is while worth doing to indulge yourself!

We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights and the hotel was just exceptional! Service was excellent! The staff were really nice and friendly! The room was elegant and has a good view of the city! Their breakfast buffet is what I always look forward to. The foods were delicious. I also want to give credits to Imee for being so nice to us. She was so accommodating. Thank you to all the staff in Shangri-La Dubai for making our stay worthwhile! To the person who always greets us whenever we go in and out of the hotel, to the shuttle driver and to the housemaking, thank you! I'm gonna miss this place! (My comment from TripAdvisor)

It was a great hotel with an amazing view to the city from the top.

We stayed here 3 days before leaving for Mauritius, hotel to say the least wonderful, reception on arrival excellent, the hall is wonderful especially at Christmas time, which is all decorated, breakfast well stocked, we had a room on the 40th floor, view spectacular, and the access to the terrace on the 42nd floor is the real treat, especially for those like me who love photography! I advise
