It's nice to have peace of mind that if something breaks they will repair it for $480 a year, but called in on Monday may 8th, my fans won't start. Was told that closest available date is may 19th, it's almost 2 weeks. Have small kids at home and today was 92 degrees outside. Living in basement till may 19.

We called ServiceOne because of a leak we discovered. The plumber that responded was Lorin. He went out of his way to discover the origin of the leak and then worked with us to get a water mitigation company out as well. He really went above and beyond what we had hooped for. Tyler did a great job for a follow up service call for leaking refrigerant in our air conditioner. We ve fought this leak all summer and Tyler found the leak in the evaporator A-Coil. He placed parts order for the new A-Coil and should be up and running for next years cooling season. Since we bought the furnace and AC from Service One in 2016, the system is still well within our 10 year warranty period. No cost to us! Great job, Tyler! Thanks SVC1!

excellent service from technician Terrell!, my dryer had several Issues that was going on with it and on the same day that we did the service call Terrell was able to replace enough of the parts at that time so that I could have use of the dryer for that day until the other parts came and we could reschedule another service call so I was so grateful that he was able to give me back my dryer in the meantime since I am disabled and would have to have taken my clothes to a laundromat, VERY PROFESSIONAL!

I was looking for a new AC and sent a "salesman" to try and sell me a new unnecessary system. After asking me several questions and typing it into their tablet they claimed I needed a 4 ton unit to replace my 3.5 ton unit. I asked why I needed to go up a half a ton and the salesman kept reverting to that's what the fancy computer spat out based on my needs. I asked if I could get a 3.5 ton unit and he told me it was the exact same price as a 4 ton unit.. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and told me that based on my house a 3 ton unit would suffice at $2k cheaper than the quote Service One gave me. I have had that unit since the beginning of the summer now and it's been great. ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion and don't rely on what one salesman tells you.
On Thursday, January 23, 2014 my husband called in to Black Hills Energy for service on our furnace, it was making a loud howling sound and experiencing a smell. It was very early and one gentleman came out to check for carbon monoxide which was negative. This gentleman turned off at the furnace since he believed the assembly motor was going out. He then stated that there was someone on standby and they would be at our house shortly. Another man called and said that he was running behind and would be there around 8 a.m. I believe that he came sometime before 4:30 p.m. leaving a note saying that he oiled the assembly unit and ordered parts and that our furnace was functional. We had no heat and was getting colder. I called BHE back and they said someone would be there that evening. Jon Camp called me at about 7:00 p.m. and said he was on his way. When Jon arrived he examined the assembly motor and he said that it was out. Jon then said that he was going to call his boss to see if he would meet him at the warehouse to unlock it to see if this part was available that evening. Jon left and said he would call when he had news. Jon called about an hour later and said he had the part and was on his way back to our house, within the hour Jon fixed our furnace and we had heat. We really appreciated how Jon went above and beyond to help us out in such cold weather, not once did he seem annoyed or hurried. We thought Jon was very helpful and thought at that point the other gentleman t that came to our home and stated that he had to order parts could have done the same thing that Jon did for us. We would recommend Jon in anyone's home.
Amazing work! A man by the name of Mike Fastnacht fixed my Brother in-law s furnace. He was very nice and answered any questions we had. I m glad to see that there is still hard working people out there.
He was great. Didn't leave a mess and not only fixed our washer but made the hot water flowing into the washer increase so that we no longer had to settle for a trickle. Makes doing laundry much less of a chore! Thanks Bob!
They are more interested in selling you new than fixing your old , no peace of mind paying the monthly service fee for their repair contract, will be dropping them.

Needed a new water heater so I called Service One. Mike L. arrived, very respectful, knowledgeable, and polite. Took one day to get the new water heater and the next day I had a new unit installed. A+ experience.
After explaining what had happened with my washing machine to Joaquin, he got to work right away. Turns out there is a part that went bad, he explained to me what exactly is happening, he made a few calls and ordered the part. He was so very professional and nice, I cannot express my gratitude enough to him and ServiceOne!

My husband and I have had a home warranty with Service One for the past 5 years. Within that space of time we have had to call them out for multiple issues in our home, including problems with our furnace, refrigerator, oven, water heater, and even garbage disposal. Each time they were extremely helpful, professional, and committed to solving the issue(s) in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them!

Paid for a 1 year warranty when we bought our home. Central air unit went out. They wanted $9000 for a whole new system. That was after a $1500 credit for the warranty. Called another company and got the same exact system for less than $6000. Service Ones warranty isnt worth the paper its written on. Even their technition agreed that they were screwing me. I would never use nor recommend this company to anyone! Before you let them screw the hell out of you, call around and get multiple quotes, you wont be sorry!

I have been with Service One since they started in Omaha. I signed up with the door to door salesman. My wife (deceased now) and I have had nothing but good experiences with Service One. My latest experience was yesterday with Kevin Mc (plumber) who I have met several times before. As usual my needs were taken care of promptly and professionally. Israel arrived promptly and was very efficient. He immediately asked if we had any issues or problems with the furnace. He discovered that our humidifier was clogged which explains why my dogs were so staticy. After he was finished he again asked if we had any questons. Very nice and personable.

He also explained very well the problem I was having with a dehumidifier and made sure to note this issue for future service call. Larry was very polite and personable. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue with the AC and is ordering the parts. He also checked the furnace to ensure all was ok going into fall. Although I don t need a new AC just yet, he answered my questions about brands, size, and issues I ve experienced with the current one cooling the house. Alan was friendly, professional and thorough with my furnace, ran quieter after maintenance. This was a yearly inspection included in my service plan. However, Didn't receive a survey request from the guy who repaired my dryer (replaced thermal switch/fuze) a few days earlier and told me the main problem was my dryer vent was clogged causing the dryer to overheat, but that Service One doesn't do vent cleaning and recommended that I get it cleaned or my dryer would continue to overheat. I got it cleaned for $180! And it took them about 15 minutes from start to finish. Not that hard Service One!

Wednesday night as I was washing dishes I noticed water at my feet coming below my sink. Sure enough I had a hole in one of my pipes. I called service one Thursday morning and they were able to get Bill out to my house by Friday afternoon. Bill came through and saved the day! He was extremely professional and explained everything to us and walked us through our problems and how to resolve them. We felt extremely comfortable and trusted his judgement! We have owned our home for over a year now and renewed our serviceone agreement because they have saved us thousands of dollars in repair work. I would recommend Bill and that company to anyone who owns or is buying a home! Absolutely wonderful!

Service One is a rip off. I have had a contract with Service One since 2002 and my water heater went out 2016 now they will not replace it saying I had a repair contract. I was informed from the Rep that the plan I was enrolled in was a Plan that if they could not fix it they would replace it and now they will not stand up to their word. The supervisor Edith tried to help me but could not but the supervisor Alisha in Customer Service never called me back or checked into the issue. When I called her back she said she was busy all morning with emergencies therefore, I guess having a busted water heater was not an emergency to her. After 14 years of service I cancelled and they acted like it was nothing to them but GOD doesn't like ugly it will come back around again on this HORRIBLE company.
Cliff G. serviced our AC unit this morning. He was prompt, very friend and very knowledgeable during his visit to our home. We have used ServiceOne 3 times in the past year and would recommend them to anyone, great service.
Joaquin R, Could have easily given up when there was a part he couldn't reach because of the design of my GE dishwasher and just ordered a replacement part to make his work effort easy. But he put his knowledgeable & experience to use, and instead of taking the easy way out by just ordering a new part, he put in an extreme amount of effort & time to take care of my problem. His work ethic, professionalism, and tenacity at getting my dishwasher back to operational standards, was fantastic. It's nice to see In the day of easiest way out, I had a technician who stuck with the problem until it was resolved! Kuddo's to Service One for having professionals who take pride in their work, a rarity in today's market place, I know, I own two companies, and know the value of an employee like Joaquin. I normally do not do reviews but in this case I felt compelled to acknowledge the quality of service I received from Joaquin R. If you need help with an appliance, I recommend Joaquin R from Service One without any hesitations. 5 Stars across the board from an extremely conservative owner. Reported that our AC went out at 930pm on a Thursday and the technician was able to fix the issue the next day. Initially we were told that no one could get to us until Saturday, but jobs must have gone quickly and they called us back at 430pm and said our technician was requesting additional jobs and would be to our home this evening. Quick response and service.
