On Thursday, January 23, 2014 my husband called in to Black Hills Energy for service on our furnace, it was making a loud howling sound and experiencing a smell. It was very early and one gentleman came out to check for carbon monoxide which was negative. This gentleman turned off at the furnace since he believed the assembly motor was going out. He then stated that there was someone on standby and they would be at our house shortly. Another man called and said that he was running behind and would be there around 8 a.m. I believe that he came sometime before 4:30 p.m. leaving a note saying that he oiled the assembly unit and ordered parts and that our furnace was functional. We had no heat and was getting colder. I called BHE back and they said someone would be there that evening. Jon Camp called me at about 7:00 p.m. and said he was on his way. When Jon arrived he examined the assembly motor and he said that it was out. Jon then said that he was going to call his boss to see if he would meet him at the warehouse to unlock it to see if this part was available that evening. Jon left and said he would call when he had news. Jon called about an hour later and said he had the part and was on his way back to our house, within the hour Jon fixed our furnace and we had heat. We really appreciated how Jon went above and beyond to help us out in such cold weather, not once did he seem annoyed or hurried. We thought Jon was very helpful and thought at that point the other gentleman t that came to our home and stated that he had to order parts could have done the same thing that Jon did for us. We would recommend Jon in anyone's home.
