We inherited a service one plan when we purchased our house from the previous owner. We had some AC issues nearly right off the bat and service one sent someone out. He muddied up our carpet in our basement, I was shocked he didn't put booties over his shoes or remove his shoes. Than he made a mess in our utility room and did not clean it up. We were disatisfied with the poor service and immediately decided not to renew the plan in December when it expired. I called in August to schedule an annual furnace check and they were booked out until January. The service representative was very rude to me once I told her we were not renewing th plan and I asked if it would still be covered because it isn't my fault they are booked 4 months out. She told me, yes, because I was making the appointment while my plan was still active. I called today (December 17) to confirm this and in fact, they don't honor appointments outside of the plan, even if the appointment was made during coverage. So those four months that lapsed, at a minimum I could have put myself on a wait list or cancellation list to still try and capetilize in the benefit of the plan. But that opportunity was forgone since I was misinformed from the time I scheduled the appointment. The service is terrible and their customer service is rude.

Chris M. did a great job of unplugging our drain. Chris was very professional and explained everything. As promised, I was contacted 30 minutes before Chris arrived.

Tyrell was on time and thorough. He was professional and resolved the problem quickly.

I sent an email outlining my concerns with my water heater, but wanted to know if it was worth having a technician come out. I read online from customer reviews that they had a poor experience with the value of service. I quickly received a call and the service was scheduled so fast I didn t even think about asking cost related questions. The technician arrived on time, looked at my water heater and gave me the same advice Google provided. However, it was $80+ to have the technician tell me that, and instead of helping drain the tank, he states it s $160 for that and it s a 2 min job . He then asked if that seemed worth it... This is my fault as I should ve read the reviews of people saying they do this. The service you receive from this company is not worth the money you ll spend. I will happily cancel my renewal when it comes due.

I can t say enough about this company. I ve had the home warranty with them for 4 years and they ve always came through in a pinch. Israel with ServiceOne is an amazing Technician. He knew within a minute what the issue was and had it corrected extremely fast. Thank you again Israel and ServiceOne for putting your customers first!!!

Our representative was so friendly and helpful. Our house was crazy today with lots of kids and it didn t phase him. He was professional and answeeed all questions. Great experience

Alan D. Was the technician Service One sent to make my HVAC repairs and was did a great job! He explained everything he did and programmmed the new thermostat for me. He answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable and was done with the job in no time!

Alan was very professional, honest, and courteous during the visit this a.m.. Although there was more that needed to be done than we had planned he was very thorough in his explanation and was very courteous when on phone explaining in detail to my husband what was going on.
Truly appreciate how courteous he was this morning.

Alan from Service One was awesome. He not only did a fantastic job servicing our thermostat, he went above and beyond by explaining that we have been using the wrong type of air filters this whole time. He recommended a much thinner, non allergy filter that not only works way better, but saves us money too. Very efficient and personable guy!

Fred was very professional and friendly, also provided great suggestions on how to use my refrigerator.

Service one repair man arrived promptly and was able to diagnose the problem and fix it efficiently. Good overall experience.

Alan came to service my Heating unit. Alan has great customer service skills.He was very professional and explained everything he did to my furnace.
He went beyond what was expected. He found small holes in the water heaters flues and sealed them.

Ryan came by today for our annual AC service. He was very professional and efficient. He took the time to answer questions we had. He also came to the door wearing a mask and respected social distancing.

Service One responded immediately to my concerns. Larry was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to identify and resolve the issue with quick efficiency.

I had an excellent experience with Service One today. Alan was on time, was able to diagnose the problem efficiently, and ordered and set everything up for my A/C to be fixed!

Tyrell was able to confidently and correctly diagnose the reason for the foul odor in my family's washing machine. His visit was a 2nd opinion. Upon contacting his supervisor, he was told that he could do a "courtesy" cleaning behind the inside drum if he wanted to. He did!! I didn't know about that conversation until he was done! It was a hot day and he took the part outside to clean it!! It was a tough job. NO MORE ODOR!!! Tyrell was so polite, knowledgeable and professional. Mike L. arrived at my home quickly after receiving the call ServiceOne was on their way. He came in and introduced himself check out what the problems were and went to work. Each step of the repair was explained to me and telling me how the break might of happened. He always had a smile on his face. Thank you for sending a knowledgeable repairman!

I have now found out why people have complained about service one I have been misinformed when I switch for my home warranty policy when I asked them for something that would continue with my HVAC warranty after a year I just now found out that the warranty deal that I went through does not not cover my air conditioner and nobody ever advised me that switching to a lower plant will not cover my air conditioning maintenance only the furnace. I've now got serious consideration to make YouTube this and a few other issues now I gave him chances I gave them good reviews because at that time I was not aware of this soda say I'm not sure what I'm going to do now but I'm not happy at this moment that is why I've changed the Stars to 2

-18-2018 Alan was promt, give me a call when he was on his way so I could get my dog put up. And during the visit he was professionally polite and thoroughly inspected my HVAC unit so they know exactly what needs to be fixed. He also give me a better explanation of what needed to be done and why and explain that they can do certain things on one seasonal inspection each year of my HVAC.

2017 having to get a whole new HVAC system and the way they've worked together and how they do things still confuses me but they are nice and friendly. And very appreciative to the expediency they have given my issue to get my system installed and thankfully I had a garage they may have had to postpone the install.

I am glad I ignored the neah Sayers I'm very satisfied w/the job they have done & are doing. Thankful for all the savings. I plan to keep up w/the home warranty after this one expires

Had a service plan for over a year - never had an issue with my HVAC. When the time finally came that I needed them to come fix my AC, was told that they couldn't get to it until the next day and it was going to be 94 degrees. Found someone else to come fix it right away and immediately cancelled my service plan. Not sure what the point of paying monthly is when you can't get the service when you need it.

Thank you Kevin! He arrived on time, he considerately placed shoe covers on his feet before entering my home. He patiently walked through all the issues I had and fixed them all. He stayed on schedule and finished all repairs timely and neatly. I thank him for his time and recommendation for maintenance so I don t have the same issue in the future.

Amazing poor customer service. The "repair or replace" claim is false. Any repair you call about requires several weeks and at least two visits to your home: the initial visit to assess the problem, a few weeks pass while parts are ordered, and then another visit to your home to do the actual repair. The repairs they do are terrible. Each individual problem we have had required 4-5 service calls because it was never repaired right the first time. The replace claim is false because a "buy out" is offered when Service One no longer wants to service an appliance, and the amount offered for a "buy out" is well below the replacement cost of the appliance. We have given Service One multiple chances to address grievances, and the situation has not improved. Stay Away!

Quick Addendum: Spoke with customer service yesterday, and they lied to me about attempting to contact me. I reviewed phone records, and their claims of attempted contact were false. Remarkable that anyone will do business with them.

Cliff was Great! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Got to work straight away (after putting on his cute little booties to protect my floor.) I feel he really went above and beyond to get the job done well. Thank you Cliff and ServiceOne!

We like our home warranty, its saved us hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Had excellent service this last visit. My sink works again and I felt like our technician did all he could to help on other problems and informed me of all my options.

I have been a Service One customer for 10+ years and have never experienced an issue. Everyone is helpful and friendly! They go above and beyond. For that reason when my daughter bought a new house as a housewarming gift I bought them a service one contract. Her refrigerator quit working yesterday. She called this morning and they were there before noon. Thats what I call service!

Alan was so helpful and wonderful! He double checked everything and gave me great feedback.

In July my son asked me if I could meet the service man from ServiceOne at his house to service his central air conditioner. When I arrived at his house Ryan was already there disassembling the outdoor unit.

When he was done servicing the unit I told him that I was so impressed with his courtesy, knowledge, and professionalism that I was going to call and ask for him when I needed service on my heat pump and furnace.

Well, today Ryan serviced my heating system and did a 5-star job!

He also suggested that I look into ServiceOnes service plans that I plan on doing tomorrow. Thanks again Ryan!

Chis M. provided great service with fixing our floor drain. He worked quickly and provided some great advice to help stop our issue from happening again in the future. We have not had any issues since with the floor drain since Chris fixed the drain. He gave us a great 1st time experience with using ServiceOne!!!

Called the emergency line after hours as my furnace wasn't working. Alan Donaldson was the tech who came out. He was quick & efficient in figuring out the issue and replaced with no problem. It would have been a $250 cost, but with my home warranty I only paid my deductible. House is heating up fast on this cold, snowy night and I couldn't be more pleased.

Service One is so great, we can't recommend them enough! We've only had to call them out twice for appliance fixes and they came out within a day or two of making the appointment and diagnosed the problem immediately. For my husband and I, it is absolutely worth the annual fee and $80/visit. Gary Y was a very cheerful, pleasant technician who went above and beyond to get us the parts for our oven same day.

My request was for a couple of outlets that had pulled loose. The Serviceman came in and unscrewed the face plate on the outlet and identified the problem. Rather than render the service I had called for he told me how I could repair it myself. I m reasonably handy, but this particular serviceman had no intention of lifting a finger to fix my order.

Technician was on time, worked quickly, and kept the area clean.

I have been a Service One customer for several years and have been amazed at the quality of service and care they have provided whenever I have had need of help. The technicians and entire staff have always been knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy, considerate, kind and have gone out of their way to be sure my needs were taken care of properly. The technician took time to explain what he was doing during his visit. He explained ways that I could improve the efficiency of my air conditioner. He also told me about a problem I had that wasn t covered but he was able to fix it for me. Very friendly and very professional!

Larry came to do a semi-annual service on my HVAC system and ended up doing an excellent job, "above and beyond" what I expected. He discovered that my 18 month old system had not been wired correctly so that the second stage heating would automatically kick in as designed. After discovering this, he conscientiously and meticulously reviewed the installation wiring diagrams and literature to determine and then effect the solution, which involved installing another wire to the control board. Larry represents the best in heating and air conditioning service. Since this was part of my contract, there was no additional charge. Larry's friendly and informative manner reflects great credit on ServiceOne. I am one happy customer. Thank you!

Alan gave it to me straight and without any embellishments, telling me I would more than likely need to replace my 24 yo furnace, as it had a safety issue from a broken part, and it would save me money to just replace it. This was after a different repair, which they will be able to credit my new furnace by the repair amount, as the safety issue was not discovered.

Alan should be rewarded as he goes up and beyond in all aspects. He came to service my furnace and I was very pleased with his knowledge and thorough review & diagnosis of the system. Our furnace went out on and instead of just getting it running again he checked out the entire unit, found a few additional concerns and without hesitation fixed everything he could. He also educated us on a few things.

Service One was quick in responding to our need for drain cleaning on a Saturday afternoon. Our main drain was blocked and water was rising as we pulled out our Shopvac to begin cleanup. After calling Service One they dispatched Chris M. who was on call for emergency services. Chris arrived promptly and handled the problem efficiently within about one hour and ten minutes the home emergency was over. Chris was neat throughout his work and informative in describing the job. We highly recommend Service One for a variety of home care services, especially in an emergency..

I have been a customer of Service One over 25 years. I have been very pleased with their service and professionalism. I was very pleased with HVAC technician Chris R. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. He answered all my questions, and appeared genuinely concerned that I be satisfied with the service. Thank you Chris!

DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!! This is not a warranty at all it is more like bad insurance. If you have a realtor suggest a home warranty with these guys, fire them! It cost 400 or so per year and when something happens and you call them it cost another 75 dollars to have them come to your house and tell you they won't fix it but would be happy to charge you hundreds of dollars to fix it. This is a SCAM, you are throwing your money away if you buy a warranty. I have had 3 problems that I called them for and they refused to fix all three issues the correct way. I was also shocked when I had to pay $75 dollars the first time. They excluded that information when I threw away 400 bucks at them when signing up. DO NOT DO THIS!!!! They will have excuse after excuse on why they can't fix your problem. Save your money, it is really to bad I have to give them even 1 star on this review. Read the non recommended reviews on yelp, they are all negative and somehow do not reflect the rating of this terrible company. I'd recommend you buy a used BMW with 120,000 miles on it before I'd ever recommend these convicts.

Had a new heating and A/C installed last year, great install and unit

The technician John was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem immediately and came back to replace the part. It took three days to get someone here and five days to receive the necessary part. Service one did not provide quality service period. Question: Why was the part not shipped overnight and why a three day wait to get a technician here and another 5 days waiting for the part? It s July and our AC was out.
