Absolutely love coming here for a relaxing massage and soak in the hot tub. Pool area leaves something to be desired, updates to furniture, cleanliness would be nice. But overall they have some of the best masseurs around.

Was there for a sorority convention. They handled the 700+ attending well for meeting rooms and banquets. They even converted the closest men's rooms for our use. Didn't have much free time while there but did take the shuttle to the beach. If on a true vacation, I would recommend the villas since they had more cooking and relaxation space.
Fantastic venue. Went for a work meeting and found the location to be stellar, the people to be wonderful, and the interior to be classy and cozy at the same time. While I only attended a work conference here this time, I would absolutely stay overnight in the future.
From the moment we arrived until the day we left several days later, Phil at the entrance was a delight. He helped with our bags, got us settled, advised about restaurants, shuttled us Several times. He was always professional, accessible, hard working and maintained a tremendous attitude in spite of high heat and humidity. He made our stay fun, comfortable and easy. He is an excelled ambassador for Marriott, he ensured Marriott at Ponte Vedra will be a return destination for us. Norma
One word was "disappointed" during my stay. I'm a loyal Marriott guest who drives out of the way to stay with the franchise. I stayed in the Villa's and the layout is nice considering my issues. There were silver fish bugs in my room and a few spiders. The iron broke and leaked something on my shirt that i couldn't correct. The other item was the coffee pot that contained contents from the previous guest. It seemed my room wasn't cleaned recently, or not well. I told this to the front desk and the response was "that's simply not acceptable". I quickly agreed. However there was no attempt to remediate the issue or offer a new room. I simply was handed a business card and told to have a great day. Needless to say, my loyalty to this brand is in question.
Beautiful resort, has a Starbucks inside which is super convenient, especially since it's never too busy. I live close by and it's closer than the other Starbucks that always has a huge line. So yea I go there for Starbucks but the lobby is really beautiful.
Like everything in life you get what you pay for it cost a little bit more to stay here but it is worth it. The customer service is outstanding as usual, the facility itself albeit a little old still in excellent condition. Absolutely amazing venue!
A hidden gem... Tucked away between Jacksonville and St. Augustine this hotel has several options for a great stay. The main hotel is well done but does seem to be renovated. Then there are the villas that are set off from the main hotel. The Villa we had was clean and tidy. The AC was going full blast which was nice in 95 plus degree day. The beds had that crash into it quality and were comfy for the stay. The room appeared to be well maintained. It was like having an apartment in the area for the stay. We had a great time going up to the beach club included in the cost of our stay. The front desk had the shuttle stop by and pick us up. We checked out the beach and had diner there. It was very nice. We will definitely return here.
Great resort with lots to do. Lots of grounds to walk or bike around. Beautiful rooms overlooking the grounds. You have to take their shuttle to go to the beach.
A.c. didn't work well, room was incredibly hot and had 3 fire alarms go off at 2 in the morning, aside from that the hotel is really nice, and I think we just got unlucky, still willing to give it a second chance.
Call Orkin! Woke up and went in the bathroom and saw a huge spider crawling around. When I looked on the floor there were half a dozen dead baby roaches. Nothing special here. When I brought it to their attention they knocked $27 off my bill. Wow! Back to the Hilton where they truly get customer service!
Wow! Just checked in and really disappointed.... not the quality I expect from a Marriott. Rude customer service at check in. Out dated, bad smelling, and dirty room- dirty toilet, dirty wrinkled sheets, dusty room, dirty vents, dirty mirror, beaten up remote, burnt out light, broken iron, dirty gross light switch, and a warped, used, and germy food menu was left on my pillow. Small counter space in bathroom, no USB ports in room, no smart TV, and not shuttle service.... will be staying here for a few more days. If we weren't here for a wedding we would be leaving and going to another hotel.
*Update: woke up at 2 am with an itch on my arm and found several bed bug bites!
Excellent service and accomodations. You pay for what u get. Just keep in mind valet only$49 a day unless you are in the villas then no charge for parking in the villas. Rates go drastically up and down depending what time of year you visit. Its located in ponte vedra beach right outside Jacksonville near really nice restaurants. I usually stay in the villas. More privacy and quiet. Apartment villas sit off further on the property which are mainly the suites and no charge as u drive up to the room n parking lot. The regular guest rooms are inside but an amazing view with open glass view to lagoon and things to do for kids in kids playroom. Just bring a nanny or someone to watch them cause no paid sitters on site. Spa is great! Try the smoothies n different services. Again a nice getaway!
The grounds where beautiful and there was an awesome view of a bald eagle nest off the 13th hole. Very enjoyable and I recommend the rum runner, it was delicouse.
Resort is ok. They have done some upgrades that include a wave surf pool. However, rooms, mini golf, pools and retaraunts all need some serious upgrading. We ve had some pleasant staff interactions but over all the staff is not very engaging or service oriented, especially in the restaurants. The help in the pub is just terrible.
I expect a lot more from this type of resort. Not a horrible experience, but we would not stay here again.
Impressed with this resort. They have events and crafts for the kids. The shuttle to the beach was great to have. The beach access with pool was wonderful and the food there was good too!
The property is beautiful and the ability to go hangout at the beach at the Cabana Club was wonderful. They seem to be taking all the covid precautions seriously, except on the shuttle to the beach where many people weren't wearing masks and they were keeping as many people in as we're seats. I'd stay there again, but wish they'd put in more rules regarding the shuttle.
Horrible charged my card 899 on check in and said they were only charging 50 dollars incidental then after I complained I was told there would be no more charges on my card and guess what??? Next 2 days a 137 dollars more each day was charged charged !!!! Run what a rip off even a mediocre hotel provides breakfast and does not run your card up and lie to you about the charges. They are a resort and spa not a hotel also was what I was corrected from saying several times and that I wouldn't be charged more! Run from here I am here on a university residency and the other students are saying they were not charged incidentals ! I need management to straighten the mess out. Plus ill never visit this place again
The resort is simply beautiful and the staff are all friendly. My issue is with housekeeping. When people order room service and put their dishes outside the door, those dishes were outside in the hall for several hours. I left out in morning and came back in the afternoon, the dishes were still in the hallway. Also if we had not mentioned to one of the staff that our room had not been cleaned, I don't think it would've been cleaned. Finally, when we did get the room cleaned, they didn't vacuum the floors. Outside of this, we had a lovely time.
Beautiful facility though inadequately staffed for high occupancy. Check in took a long time, rooms were not cleaned until 4 in the afternoon, and several times waiters had to be ambushed to put in an order for food or drink.
The resort is beautiful. The rooms are updated and big. The staff is very nice and attentive. Great hotel for business travel, romantic getaway, or family vacation.
Was there for lunch, the Valet Mike was quick to my door and giving me directions. Had a good lunch and Mike was quick and polite with my keys and good me on my way. Nice place.
The hotel has recently been remodeled and The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was very good and there is a Starbucks on the premises which is a plus. The resort property is nice, but the pools are small and if you don't golf, there isn't much to offer. We did a spa treatment which was great, but the pool there had old looking furniture and had a stained bottom with a lot if leaves. Not in line with what you would expect at a spa. We have been to several Marriott resorts and this is my least favorite.
We love this place. Understanding they are doing improvements the service is still outstanding. Cat wait to see the final product. Great locatiin, our room was spotless and welcoming.
Worth every penny. The rooms were nice, the service was spectacular, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The back patio with all the fire pits and the light up fountain/waterfall made it a really elegant evening. The food and drinks were also phenomenal. You get 2 free drinks per night stay, which is nice (but that's part of their $20 nightly fee). Highly recommend this hotel.
Only attended an event at the hotel but I was very impressed with the facility. Staff were courteous. Hotel was very clean and the events area was rather impressive.
While the issues that we had with our stay themselves were frustrating (including inappropriate fees, not having soiled crib sheets changed despite reminding daily, being in a 2nd floor handicap-inaccessible villa room, etc), it was above all our interaction with the assistant front office manager that troubled us the most. His offensive demeanor made us feel threatened and uncomfortable. We contacted him over the phone after we checked out to discuss an inappropriate fee. His responses were surprisingly and disproportionately rude so we let him know that we will be writing a negative review of our experience. He responded that you can make any point that you want you re still going to be charged no matter what you say and then hung up the phone on us! I did not curse or raise my voice during this conversation despite feeling like I was being attacked. We were shocked at his response, especially in light of the hotel's errors that contributed to a disappointing experience. This person (whom I won't name out of respect) should not represent the Marriott brand and will make us think twice about staying at any Marriott in the future.
Loved it, beautiful resort! We stayed in a villa that was clean and spacious. Beautiful resort grounds with many amenities but I feel it is way overpriced for the room and the resort. But overall I'm happy!
If you are staying in the Villas be sure to bring some earplugs and extra pillows. The insulation must be terrible in this place as early this morning all we could hear were the maids clanking around above and next to us. I have never stayed in a place with such bad insulation. The pillows are very flimsy which also does not make for a relaxing stay. Otherwise the villas are beautiful and the staff is very nice.
Beautiful property but beware if staying in the Villas. Our room had a consistent musty older, the bed was lumpy, the pillows are hard and the furnishings are old. But I must say all the people working there are extra nice. Which why it isn't a 3.5 star.
