Great experience with James Watson installing my security system

Very professional, the job ran smoothly from beginning to the end. He explained the system clearly and understandable. Excellent proformance.

The salesperson said the system would be installed on Friday, however nobody showed up. When we called the sales person he said he couldn't help us as he had quit. We called ADT who told us the dealer was located in Missouri. We called the number provided by ADT to find they were not open yet, and to resolve the issue we had to wait until 1:00pm, which was when they opened. When we finally got through to them we were told the installer was not available, and they would have to move us to another day which was when we would be out of town. We stated we wanted the system installed before we left town in 3 days. They said they would call back to see what they could do. They never called. We called them back in a few hours, and they were still unable to provide service until after we left town. We called ADT, and they said the dealer has to schedule the installation, as they use their own isntallers. In the meantime we had another person come to our door who was selling adt systems. When I told them what the problem was, they said they couldn't help me since I was already an adt customer with safe haven. I asked them if they could have installed sooner, and they said they could install the next day. I asked them if they were located in Missouri also, and they stated they were a business. After this experience I think it is always better to deal with a local business. We finally got the system installed we had a problem with sensors falling off. I've had alarm systems on several homes through the years, and have never ever had this problem. We were also promised a $100 Visa Gift Card which we never received.

Very pleased with Joel Smiths service! Very friendly and efficient! I would 100% recommend him and his service! Talked me through everything and made sure I was aware of how to work the system!

Who is worse? A loan shark or Safe Haven ? At least, with a loan shark, you know they are asking for a money they loaned you. Safe haven wants to force you to pay for service you don t want. It s all nice and great until you want to cancel. They carry their contracts like Jehovah witnesses carry their Bible.
There are many better options out there than these crooks.

A gentleman with the title of relocation manager solicited on our property on the 14th of March(Saturday) to try to sell ADT services. After about 30mins of talking to him, we decided to give Safe Haven a try even though we are thinking of other DIY systems out there. The man scheduled a technician(Phil) to come in on Monday (3/16) at 4pm.

Phil arrived on Monday at around 4:45pm. The whole process took till around 10pm before Phil finished. I had to miss 2 important meetings during this time because no one informed me that it was going to take 5hours+ to install a few equipment but that is not the reason for my frustration today. After Phil installed the main unit, he tried upselling me on other devices like smart door locks, door bell, garage opener, etc. I told him I m not sure about what I see in the photos as some of the devices look too old for me. He mentioned that I have 3 days to try them and can cancel if I don t like them. I was particularly interested in the smart lock but he didn t have it available with him. He said they have a much recent one and he would bring it on Wednesday (3/18) to install it.

He came on Wednesday to finish the installation of the smart lock. He came around 4pm again and left around 6pm I believe. After my wife and I used the system as a whole on Thursday, we decided not to go with ADT. Since it was night time and figured we still have Friday and Monday to cancel (Because everything was not installed until Wednesday).

I called (3/20) at 11:59am to request a cancellation only to be told by the agent, Jamaine that yesterday was my last day to request a cancellation without being changed 70% of 3 years worth of service. I asked to stop the service as I would not be going forward with it and he said he couldn t do it.
I requested a supervisor and Brittany Shorts gave me a call back stating that the 3 day period starting counting the day I signed the contract which was late Monday night. I asked how Safe Haven could in good faith try to charge what would be roughly $1600 on a system I only had 1 day to truly use and test which was on Thursday? She kept referring to the contract and states she will not be waiving the cancellation fee.

Could someone help me understand why we were allowed 1 day to try a system but want to enforce a 3 day period contract on us? How can SafeHaven enforce a contract when not all parts of the installation were complete? How can we as a customer review an incomplete system?
This is wrong on so many levels, considering most companies out there are doing good by customers at this difficult times but not charging them ridiculous fees.

The stupid system is archaic and cannot work with most other smart devices out there which was my base requirement. Don t listen to what the installer tells you...Verify everything yourself before you sign their sleezy contract and whoever is responding to these reviews with your canned, copy and paste response should stay off my review unless you have something constructive to add

I even sent email to their CEO and bunch of regional directors but got nothing but crickets....well...no surprise there...I m sure he is the one singing the contracts song to all employees.

Phil Fernandez was awesome. He provided great service and lots of information in regards to fire detectors and carbon monoxide. Definitely recommend this service guy to anyone.

Ruben was very informative, friendly, professional, and performed the installation in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

We recently moved to Overland Park KS and were looking for a reliable security system. I reviewed multiple companies including DIY systems and finally decided to go with ADT.

When we finally closed on our house we had Andrew G. Come out and review our security plan and make recommendations what what type of security features he recommends. He patiently listened to our concerns and made meaningful recommendations. When he didn t think a camera or motion sensor was necessary he suggested against it. Many companies and techs will just try to sell you stuff. Andrew G. Really cares about his clients and offers suggestions that make sense. He worked hard the days he came out and ensured all the systems and cameras worked well. He was easy to reach via text or phone and was very flexible with our schedules.

He is by and far one of the best technicians/security experts I ve ever worked with. We look forward to continuing to work with him in the future !

Paul Treux and Alexander, arrived in a timely matter, and tried their best to finish as soon as possible. They were very informative and knowledgeable at their task at hand. Answered all the questions we had about the system, leaving us very satisfied with their service.

Tech didnt show the first time.the second time the tech started acting weird and when I ask him was he ok he yelled no and ask me if he could leave and come back in a hour He call another tech out to take his place he scared me when he yelled he told the other tech that came out that he was sick my price change twice not happy at all scary technician

Our technician Jeffrey was so awesome. He explained everything very well. Took his time with us. Made sure we had everything to feel safe and secure. They were clean and very professional. I would recommend this company to everyone I know.

Ruben was our installation tech and he did a great job. He took the time out to check out our property and provide suggestions to what would suit our concerns the best. He explained all the different options and went over additional equipment recommended. Ruben gave us tutorials and walk throughs on our system and it got us familiar with it. Excellent customer service and an experience to leave you confident knowing you are a valued customer and we feel so much safer knowing our home has this security system.

The service call and installation was fine. The technician was timely, friendly and knowledgeable. However, there came the moment when he had to "upsell" the products that we had already agreed upon. Another technician arrived and my husband and I initially thought that the colleague was there to assist with installation but it turned out to be his manager whose purpose was to help close the deal. The initial suggested additional security products came to over $4,000. Then his manager reduced it to an additional $1,000. And the tactic was to "scare" you into purchasing additional products to ensure full security. For example, the smoke detectors that we already had weren't good enough. While we did accept one additional item we felt was necessary, we maintained the original order.

Great technicians. Installed everything very professionally and hid wires like I wanted them to. Highly recommended

I had a wonderful experience with ADT tech Ruben Albarran. He was on time and very professional, he cleaned up after himself and insured I was satisfied with his work he didn t leave until everything was set up which was around 9pm. He even helped me put up a picture that was driving me crazy to put up!! Thank you Ruben.

Our technician was Henry Bressler . He was very knowledgeable and detailed . He explained all the services available and did a excellent job on our installation. We would recommend him to our family and friends .

I had my new system installed by Rob Thompson last week. Multiple cameras, garage door openers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and some home automation for my home and shop make me feel much better about the security of my home and family. The ability to monitor from my phone via live feeds and push notification make this the ideal system for me!

Absolutely loved having Jeremy. He was amazing explained things very well help figure out best locations for everything and very polite. He even played with my toddler and dog and didn t mind when either kept jumping up on him. The only problem was the manager Sales men who came to my door said there would be no city charge and in fact there is. They suck, my son moved into a new home and immediately was pounced on by these people. He signed a contract paying approximately $45 a month. Less than a month later, there was a power surge that took out the equipment. They refused to do anything and said he has to pay the $45 for 2 years for absolutely no service!

Our tech was AWESOME !! His name was Clay Johnson . We did not know him, never had any business with ADT . Clay came in the house and almost immediately he started treating us, like I think , he would treat his parents . He just wanted to make SURE we were going to be SAFE . I wish there were more service representatives like him.

Erick Olivar is a well mannered professional. He took time to explain the equipment. He did his best to correct and corrected the issues the other tech was not able to resolve. He saw our anxiety because we are not computer savvy so he reassured us we could contact him if we had any questions. Because he took the time to review the home security assessment he preformed we went ahead and ordered extra security devices. I moved into my new home and guy by the name of Anthony in Dallas, GA came by and offered me a great deal to secure my home. He set me up with an install that worked with my availability too!
James Smith came out and installed my equipment! He was so kind and efficient. He made me feel valued as a customer. He also was very patient and explained EVERYTHING in full detail. I will be a customer for life now because of these 2 AMAZING guys!

This Rating is only on their Equipment not the customer service. Andy was my technician and he is fantastic I was just expecting Higher quality equipment for the amount of money that my wife and I are Paying for. Ring Equipment is far better in my eyes. Again this is only about the equipment

I had a gentleman named Osvaldo Armendariz come to do the installation. He was extremely informative and professional. Was not a fan of the fact that I had to install the thermostat myself since ADT workers are not HVAC licensed, especially if this is a service I m paying for already. Overall good and professional people.

I just wrote a long detailed review which somehow got deleted! Smh they're all scammers! My 19 year old son was talked into a bunch of add ons by the installer. After he told me about it all I told him we didn't need all of them. We told the installer what we wanted to keep and what we didn't want to keep and he said to let him install it and he'd be back the next day with our correct camera (one of the cameras he came with was not the right one) and he would uninstall what we ste sure we didn't want. Which didn't make much sense to me and I wish I would've just told him "no take it now"! Well he didn't come back EVER and when my son called him he gave him some excuse as to why he didn't come and told him he'd be back there next day. He didn't come, call back, OR answer anymore calls! So my son tried to reach out to the first two guys that came to the house and both of them said they told take care of it and he never heard from them again either! Equipment started malfunctioning and someone finally came out to fix it and my son spoke to him about the issue... he gave my son the customer service number which is apparently who he should've called in the first place! They were rude to him and told him there wasn't anything they could do about it so he got upset and told them to just cancel it all. They told him he'd have to pay an $1,800 cancellation fee!!!! So I called thinking I may be able to explain the situation better and all three of the women that I spoke with at safe haven INCLUDING when I called the corporate number were rude to me as well and it seems like they are ALL in the scam together! Telling me that unless there is something in writing there is no way to prove that my son tried to cancel and the call logs from when he called all the off the guys don't prove anything because they don't know what he called them for. They called the two guys my son reached out to and they both denied that they spoke top him about canceling the add ons! The installer (of course) no longer works for them so they have no way of verifying that my son tried to cancel! It's all one big scam! I can't believe a complaint of this magnitude that is so well known would handle a situation like this!!! I trusted that they would make it right BOY WAS I WRONG!

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Absolutely the WORST customer service. Called to ask questions about my installation and was told that I needed to call ADT directly. This was only a month after the original installation. The tech drilled a hole through my wall into the garage and didn't bother to fill the hole. Tech told us he would be back out to fix the hole but never heard back from him. We ended up fixing the hole ourselves. Fast forward 4 months, called to ask a few questions about our contract (wasn't aware that it was a 36 month contract... Shocking) but was told that after 90 days they forward the contract on to ADT and don't keep a copy on file (lie). Called ADT and they did have a copy of the contract but since it was within the 12 months, I needed to talk to Safe Haven. After 2 more phone calls to Safe Haven and very rude people lecturing me about how a contract works and that I couldn't cancel without paying them 100% of the contract, I decided that I would wait until after the first 12 months so that my contract would be in ADT's complete control and I wouldn't give Safe Haven anymore of my money.... Stay away from Safe Haven unless you like rude and disrespectful people lecturing you instead of listening to your concern's or questions. They can't be bothered once they have your "signature" (which is not your signature) on their contract. They could careless about your home. Oh and if you ask for fire alarm monitoring as a part of your package, you can forget it.... They never added ours. Took me talking directly to ADT, they were willing to add the fire detectors to the plan as well as lowering our monthly fee but keeping the same plan. All I can say is research the Dealers.... I should have. These reviews would have helped me!!!

They came to my door late at night. And said, that as part of our closing on our new home we were notified about them showing up. Then attempted to enter the residence multiple times, and acting very upset that we wouldn't let them in. Very strange & scary how they attempt to conduct business! I'm shocked that company's like this are even allowed to keep there business license.
