I was approached by the Des Moines branch manager, Matt Lassen, to buy an ADT security system. He was good, good at Sales. Convinced us to buy the system. Said if it didn't work out, no worries we could cancel. When the tech came to install, I noticed a contract with a 3 year term. I called Matt, said I don't do contracts, and he assured me if I wanted to cancel he could take care of it and get me out of it. Not to worry. Well here I am, trying to cancel and I have a thousand dollar buyout. I was so paranoid I made the tech listen to Matt on speaker phone promise me that I wouldn't have to do a buyout. I hope this gets resolved but I have little faith it will.

I ordered the ADT system, and the installer was there the next day. He explained everything he was doing, and suggested additional options that I can add to my system at a later date. I was given several options for placement of the keypad and for the other components of my system. I was very pleased with the timeliness and professionalism shown during the installation process.

Ben was super helpful technician. He was knowledgeable about the products and gave great advice on what I needed for my home and explained the options at length. Install was quick and he explained everything thoroughly. Recommend!

Had camera connection issue, called up my agent and he sent out justice Davis to my house the next day and got here on time. Trouble shoot my signal and BAM! Camera was connected and back to work. Great service guy.

Jeremy Morlan was very helpful, he explained all of the different options, went over all of the functions of the keypad and the Mobil app. He welcomed any question we might have and explained different scenarios and what we could do to stay safe.

Please run away from these people. Specially Jessica and Courtney (so called manager). They will be behind you until they make you to sign the contract after that no service but bills. I have no security system for the past 3 weeks and they are not event picking the phone (right to voice mail). But bill will be pouring.

Chris hunt was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. Definitely feel like ADT helps make getting home security worth it for all there customers and cost effective as much as they are able for there customers. Would reccomend to others.

My experience was great. The salesman Larry casias was great and very informative. The installer Greg C. Was also great. He showed us better ways to help protect our home. The overall experience was good and they were very professional.

Kyle was great! He arrived promptly on time and first reviewed the security package we signed up for. After surveying the house, he recommended the proper placement of the sensors, panel, etc. He also recommended a couple additional sensors and smoke detectors. His advice on additional items was not high-pressure sales. He explained the rational for the additional sensors and placement of the system components. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough in explaining how to use the equipment.

One of the best experiences. I am normally uncomfortable with strangers in my home. However, my technician, Timothee Champagne, was not only very efficient and knowledgeable, he was extremely personable. He was training Jake who will greatly benefit from Tim's knowledge and expertise. Both men are a credit to ADT.

Pushing sales tactics. They will come right after ...

Pushing sales tactics. They will come right after you close on properties and try to sell you product/service by saying things to scare you. In two days two different people from ADT Safe Haven stop by and try to sell product by saying that people get broken into usually right after they get properties. This is a fear base tactic and one of the worst tactics. This type of behavior is un acceptable and should be reported to the BBB and get you guys fined for shady tactics.

They are horrible, the technicians don t know what...

They are horrible, the technicians don t know what they are doing, they are rude, the costumer service is rude too. They removed my ring doorbell to install theirs and when someone is at the door we can t hear anything inside, we just get a notification in the phone, we also can t hear the alarm going off in our room, so when someone did tried to break in our house, we never knew, even the police showed up at our door and we didn t know because the doorbell doesn t work. Horrible company, horrible costumer service and horrible technicians!

Justice, the technician came out to make some adjustments on our system. He was on time, professional, knowledgeable and very polite. He explained everything and encouraged us to call if we had any questions or issues in the future. Great job Justice!

The product is good. But the service is bad, No good communication. They tell me i can cancel the service in 6 months, then after they install my stuff they tell me 3 days. Now im stuck with this company for 3 yrs. !!

Great experience with Safe Haven. Mark and Matt were professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Can't thank Matt enough for all of his hard work and dedication to not only making sure everything worked properly but for making sure the customer was educated every step of the way. Very Misleading. We were told that we didn t have to pay for any equipment or installation-only the monthly service. The technician came to install and was very pleasant, but he was at our house for 5 hours!! Around hour 4 he gave me a quote for $1400+ and I was very alarmed as we had been told we didn t have to pay for the equipment....things went south fast and the technician became very rude and I became very uncomfortable having him in my home without my husband. I told him I didn t want the equipment and he installed anyway only for us to cancel the next morning. Came back out to uninstall and didn t say a word, making me more uncomfortable in my own home. It is all a rabbit hole of sales gimmicks and unprofessionalism.

Sales Reps use a very deceptive SCRIPT! Straight up Lies!

Real estate broker here:
Safe Haven called me "regarding an urgent matter" on my recent closing. Asking me if my buyers plan to switch the security system service over.

Problem is, this house was new construction. So it is NOT POSSIBLE that the house ever carried their service! Lies!

They pulled this on me last summer. Same story: Congrats on the closing, will buyer be switching service? So I call my client and ask if they want to switch the security system over.
That's when my buyer informed me there is no system in the house.
Making me look like a Grade-A jerk who did not pay any attention to the home I sold them. Kicker: Client was a family member. Awesome!

Being in Sales, I respect salespeople and the grind we go through.
But I have absolutely ZERO respect for companies/salespeople who use outright lies and deceit in their Sales Pitch/Scripts.

Just got my security system with safe haven adt. Needless to say, I'm thoroughly happy with the install. The installer Timothee Champagne was on time, worked in a timely manner, didnt try to sell me on anything I didnt need, made me feel comfortable with him inside my home, an all around "good guy". Safe havens prices are very reasonable and the service is absolutely worth investing in for peace of mind and protection for myself and family I will definitely be recommending safe haven to my friends family and neighbors from now on.

After two years of disputing with Safe Haven about...

After two years of disputing with Safe Haven about a $200 rebate that was agreed with an employee, Dawn, during contract engagement, there has been no resolution. They have no records of inquiries dating back to Jan 2015. On multiple occasions between Dec 2016-Feb 2017 Sally and Shoshana of Safe Haven advised a rebate was being mailed by way of check. Safe Haven representatives have provide check numbers for said checks that never arrive and when inquiring they advise to wait another 10-14 business days for the check to arrive. After that when a check does not arrive they advise they are issuing a replacement check. This has happened three times now. Also, come to find out they are only providing $100 as opposed to the original agreement. Brittany, a supervisor, advised that any rebates are a courtesy, they have no email documentation from Dawn, who is no longer with the company pertaining to this although I do, and that the monitors and components were provided in lieu of any rebates. This was not what was discussed and agreed with Dawn and is contradictory to the calls placed with customer service to date. This is clearly a pattern and a total waist of client's time. We are now moving forward with proceeding to cancel the contract and take actions against Safe Haven for not upholding their agreements.
