Phenomenal prices and selection. I paid one fifth the price of my local parts store. Shipping is quite fast, you just have to get used to waiting a few days, but the Savings more than make up for that. 4 headlight replacements bulbs for $18 vs $110 locally. Unbelievable.
We purchased a single item on a Thursday afternoon. Paid for overnight delivery. A shipping label was created on Friday at 9:30 am. Delivery date? TUESDAY!! And they specified in their instructions to Fedex weekday delivery only. We paid for overnight shipping and should receive the item by end of day Friday or at the latest Saturday! Did I mention we are also only 40 minutes away from the shipping warehouse! Will never order from them again.! Will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
Quality parts, good to great prices, shipping time is good. Need it sooner pay for two day delivery. Next, coils, MAP, and O2 sensors......Grump
Who knows if I'm getting the right part or not it's still not here. I paid extra money for upgraded shipping and it seems I threw that money away. Some well spoken kid on the phone tries to to spin it as my fault telling me that I was wrong in the shipping that I chose. You can expect it by next week he says. Today is the fifth day since the order was placed. Rockauto here is how it works. I pay money and expect to get what I pay for. If anything goes wrong it is your fault not mine. I gave you the money, not the post office, not timken, not my neighbor. Poor poor poor! Chances are I will never use this company again. 1) They do not except responsibility for there actions. 2) Customer service is only a place to air your grievance to an $11.00 an hour kid with no authority.

Prices are decent until you try ordering multiple items. Once the shipping comes from two different locations it's becomes a no brainer...might as well drive 10 minutes up town and the prices are pretty close to the same...and I can get my parts right then and there.
Now, I'm not sure this is a money grab on the part of Rock Auto...but if it is I suggest showing a few MBA's the door, because they are costing you more business than you know.
Products and service themselves: I've never received a wrong part or one that didn't fit. The same as options we can get at competing parts stores, so it really comes down to price. Price is the bottom line and when there is a wait for delivery the price difference has to be worth the wait.
Although most the parts I got came through looking great I had issues with 2 parts. One of them was broken and could not be used. The other part was obviously pre used with trans. fluid in the plastic bag.
I tried to return the parts but could not get rock auto to send me the pre printed return labels to put on and into 2 separate boxes for return through 2 separate shipping companies.
Rock Auto said go to shipping stores and they will print them up for me. I got the same reply at both USPS and Fedex saying that they could not do as stated by Rock Auto to print up the return shipping labels.
So DON'T count on sending returns to Rock Auto unless you own a printer.
Ordered on Monday May 25th, received on Wednesday May 27th, standard shipping! Great turnaround time. Vehicle is a 2011 Sante Fe, installation was about 20 minutes, I was replacing rear taillight assembly, driver s side, remove interior panel, remove 3, 10mm mounting nuts, disconnect wiring harness, push out wiring seal grommet and remove. Reverse to reinstall. Bulbs included. Fit was good, slightly longer than original but not noticeable. Overall excellent product and comes with a lifetime warranty- time will tell. Dealing w Rock Auto was great. Shipped very promptly, And well packaged, arrived in perfect condition. Have to order one for my daughters HRV. So I will be dealing w Rock Auto again!

made an order for five parts one was wrong, boxed incorrectly, so I tried to use the online service for getting a replacement, well it got hung up and stuck were I could not go forward or back, there is no customer service to fix such a thing no email, no phone number to call. I had just just eat it and order the part a second time. this might be the last time I use Rockauto

Rockauto is undoubtedly the shop with the best value for money. Unfortunately, it has already happened several times that he sends me articles different from those I requested or packages containing articles with other code and therefore incompatible, and I was denied help in almost every case despite their guilt being clear, so I had to reorder them. new in the hope of receiving the correct article. It is amazing how unavailable they are to try to admit an error and help the customer.

Order parts from Rock Auto twice and both times I had to ship my parts back with my OWN money.
This is just a theory but I think that they ship you the defective parts the manufactures would otherwise throw away.
As I sit here, their nice brand new water pump is currently dumping coolant all over my garage floor.
Don't waste your time or money here, even the expensive parts are garbage (trust me I bought the expensive ones). Oh goody, now I get to take it all apart and try the next defective part.

I learned a valuable life lesson from RockAuto. Low prices come at a cost: sometimes it is quality, but more often than not, it is a loss in customer service. If you know exactly what you want and you are certain that it will work, RockAuto is the place for you; but if not, beware. Their customer service is abysmal and their website is little better. Unless you know your vehicle trim and special details about the part you want to replace, you might as well spend your money at your local auto parts store where they accept returns and actually have customer service. The trim specific parts are mixed in with all the other parts. Unless you know this ahead of time, you will likely be buying the wrong parts. RockAuto is where you go for the brake pads you have replaced a million times before. Never go to RockAuto for your first fix. Unless you know exactly what you need, forget it.
I have ordered mutiple parts from this site. Two time they sent the wrong size and I finally had to pay for the part again through a store on the street. Complete waste of 300$. I just bought a radiator the was defective and paid to have it shipped within 3 to 4 days. Didn't show up til 9pm and it was BROKEN. They have no customer service line, nor contact info to file a complaint other than email. Which no one got back to me. I pour 20$ worth antifreeze which spilled right to the ground. No compensation, paid fors labor that I now have to repay for because the part the sent was again BROKEN. I'M SO OVER THIS SITE. I'M FILING A BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINT.

Old ac compressor leaked freon so bad it wasn't useable. New one from RA installed and ran great for 4 hours until the clutch failed. Can't get warranty, can't talk to anyone. This has been a poor experience and not worth the little savings if you have a problem. Won't order from them again. Was told can not get warranty because I did not change expansion valve and drier but the old compressor still worked but it leaked freon bad. It did not implode requiring the condensor etc. changes. compressor still works but clutch is dead.
They are hands down the WORST company to deal with if you have to return something. Their website had an error in the part description on a part I ordered, so had to return the part, but lost the box. They wont accept it not in the original box so they ask if I want to get it back at my cost or discard it. Seriously!?! I really really hate Rockauto for STEALING my money. I just want an exchange for f*** sakes. I think management has been inbreeding.

I have only had great experience with Rockauto until yesterday. My billing and shipping address are different. When I changed the shipping address it took off my store credit. When I put it back on, it would change the shipping address. Customer service was no help and didn't seem to care. Very disappointed and frustrated. I have never had any other problems and would recommend them to anyone who just wants to pay.

I look to Rock Auto for my auto part for an uncomplicated parts search. Each part I searched for has a multiple choice of manufacturer made and price range. Not any other parts supplier does that. My mechanic often ask me did I buy this part from Napa I say no from Rock Auto on line. Plus information about how to install parts. Rock Auto is doing it right for my money.
Prices are reasonable, but often the parts are in 20 different warehouses....parts are not inspected prior to shipping, often resulting in receiving the wrong parts....correct box, but wrong parts.....then the trouble starts...no way to call......today, they want me to pay to return the wrong parts that they sent me....I still think that overall it is better to go to your local AutoParts store, even if you pay more....if you get the wrong parts, you can return them, no questions asked...trying to do online to save time, and especially now due to the confinement....not worth it....I'm glad this car is not my daily driver, otherwise I would be stuck....RockAuto sucks!!! and to top it off, I am forced to give them 1 star, instead of zero, LOL!!!

When there slogan says "Do it right the first time." Also got an email to make sure there's RockAuto tape. The box tape was put on wrong and then they put clear tape over it haha I definitely didn't like the way it was packaged and delivered. I received ac condenser first then ac compressor kit the next day... First time ordering. I'll re-edit once installed...

I will never buy from them again. Was sent the wrong part for my car and they won't give me a full refund do to the 30 day policy. Its not my fault I was unable to get my car fixed within 30 days. Never again will I buy or even tell anyone about this company ever. Now I'm stuck with a $300 part I can't use. Worst customer service ever.
I ordered 2 front rotors for my 08 Focus, for some reason ordering a quantity of two (2) rotors shipping would cost me $33, but if you order a quantity of one (1) rotor it would only cost $8.99/ per rotor so $17.98 for two rotors (so I did two separate orders). Just odd the shipping quotes do that. I know rotors are heavy items but still weird that it's nearly double the cost for simply putting a quantity of two.
I would have ordered pads also but the pads I wanted couldn't be had from the same warehouse has the rotors (different warehouses means higher shipping). I added all the rotors and pads I liked to a cart and as you delete the items from different warehouses the shipping warehouses actually changed locations. Like most I'm just trying to save a buck but the logistics for the shipping quotes and warehouse locations seem a bit buggy and could be streamlined. Ordered pads I wanted from ebay in the end.
I really can't complain, got the rotors in 3 days, netflix isn't even that fast sometimes and they just ship CD sized discs out.
Shipping for parts is high with any company but RA is fair and usually prompt.

I don't recommend doing business with this company unless you don't care when you get the part if ever. I placed an order and paid for the 2 business day express delivery so the part was supposed to be here by the close of business yesterday. Well, here I am at noon the next day still waiting. I called Rock Auto to complain about this and they basically blew me off. That shows me how much they value me as a customer. This was the first and last order I will place with them.
Great original OEM parts and high end parts. I always use them if I have 3-5 days to wait. My local chain stores all seem to have succumbed to using knock off reproduction parts from foreign suppliers with minimal quality and reliability. I only want to do the job once. I want it to be right. I want it to last. Parts from Rock Auto give me that peace of mind and the parts are less expensive.

2 of the same parts were ordered but 1 was boxed wrong. I emailed picks as well as phoned and was told that RockAuto can't guarantee identical parts from the same supplier and part number. I could reorder and try again but regardless, I would have to pay $8 to return a $6 part that was shipped to me. I learned a lesson here about ordering from an on line source and the potential costs to me, the customer if RockAuto fails to ensure that the parts are right when filling the order. Only order from businesses that pay for returned postage when the customer is not at fault.

I have been a faithful customer for quite a few years now, not only because of the vreat prices, but also the great products. I recommend to all my friends, that if you can wait a few days, you will save quite a bit of money, especially on belts and hoses,lights etc.
A Gates serpentine belt may cost between $50 to $75 at local parts store, and if ordered you may save 50%_66% and get better Warranty. Money is tight these days, and I do everything to save my customers $$$ That's what brings them back.

I have used Rock Auto for my business but the last time I had a problem with my order and made a phone call to a customer service and was informed in a recording that in order to keep costs down they did not offer customer service over the phone and directed me to the self service/customer service page. I have serious problems using any company that views person to person customer service as an unnecessary expense. Unless Rock Auto made some serious changes to their business practices, I would not order from them again.
Rock Auto's prices are good but their Customer service deliver system is terrible. Address was correct on bill of lading but returned due to "bad address" and nobody phoned me to ask.
You cannot talk to anybody at rock auto or shipping company. Don't plan on getting your parts in a hurry at rock auto. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!
I've ordered dozens of products from Rock Auto over the years and never got a bad product, until now. I ordered 2 packs of GE bulbs, delivery was fast as usual. I opened the box to find 2 entirely different packaging of the same product. After closer inspection it appears that the one package is counterfeit. And the bulbs in that package also appear to be damaged or used. I don't know how their return department let that one slip by them because it's pretty obvious.

I ordered a 1.125 sway bar for my 71 torino. They sent me a.875" bar. Obviously there mistake but they thought I would be happy with it. They didn't pay return shipping! Companys like this shouldn't exist.

Never been disappointed, price savings hard to pass up, quality parts and shipping. I'm sold on RockAutoParts.
Been ordering parts from them a long time (almost 10 years). Unfortunately they seem to be cutting costs where ever they can. In the past if there was something wrong with an order, a quick call sorted it out.
Recently however, ordered a part, the box was correct, but the part inside does not appear to be the right one. Go through their self help return process and it says it's not my fault or their fault that the part won't fit, since the manufacturer listed that the part fits. Try don't list a phone number for customer support, after some digging called their headquarters. Their automated system tells you near the beginning of the message that the headquarters does not provide customer support over the phone... They seem to be fine with taking a customers money then have the customer lose money because part in the box they sold the customer did not work as advertised on their site.
Unfortunately I will not buy from them again. It was good while it lasted.
