l have been a customer for years and have spent thousands of dollars at rockauto. Earlier this year I received a reconditioned part, some weeks later I fitted the part and it did not work. After a call I learned that I had missed the refund window and now needed to do a warranty claim..no problem- printed shipping label put part back in box, mailed box, received new part. Now its September and I've been informed that the part I returned was not the one I originally received, I owe the money for the warrantied part and must pay before they will do anymore business with me. I have tried 3 times to fix this mess, they are sticking to their guns - pay up or no more business. During my last call I was told that because I said it was a female that authorized the return that is the reason they are dumping me, apparently it was a male.
So if you like being held at ransom due to sloppy warehousing and petty customer service Rockauto is the place to go.
