I was sent brake calipers with brackets that weren't for the listed vehicle. Since the calipers fit and I needed to have brakes on my car ASAP, I installed just the calipers and then made RockAuto aware that the brackets were incorrect. I was trying to help rectify a listing problem but ended up just wasting my time bywriting 5 emails and sending photos proving that the part was incorrect. After 2 RockAuto service tickets, both of which were closed without resolution, the same incorrect parts are being sent to other customers. Profit above all - so bad!

Rock Auto has parts that you can't find other places and that is good. Whenever you purchase something from Rock Auto you can get random parts in a box. They have sent brake rotors one 9 inches with 4 holes and one 11 inches with 5 holes... 5 of 6 injectors match # 6 is totally different...the problem comes when you try to return something. FORGET IT. despite saying that there is a 30 day return policy they don't do it. They tell you you are wrong and they are trashing the parts you sent back and not giving you credit, however you can pay to have the bad parts returned to you. SO only spend what you are willing to loose on the parts gamble at Rock Auto. Better to pay a few dollars more at AutoZone or NAPA and get customer service.

My husband orders a part for my acura and we pay for next day air. We order the part early enough that we know they have time to get it picked and shipped to make it to us today (8/28/18). Its currently 8:40pm and the package has not arrived and according to the delivery statement, it should have been here no later than today by 8pm. There is also no customer service so we have to click around the website to find out what help link applies to our problem and it can get pretty frustrating at this point... hopefully its here by tomorrow morning but as of right now, very sad service. I hope we get a refund on the next day air since that clearly didn't happen.

I am recently new here and so far have had exceptional service and I have placed a few orders in the past few weeks and have had excellent service. All parts were delivered quickly with no damage. Very easy website to use and the prices are all well below local auto parts store prices. I will recommend RockAuto to all my friends!!

I have likely ordered 10-15 times in the past dozen years. My order has always arrived earlier than indicated. If you need it "now",,,,,,well, oops. It helps to know what you really need, like buying anywhere. Couple times I wasn't sure if I completed my order on line as I wanted, called and had all clarified. There's a big range of pricing and features with various components, which is great for an educated buyer, if you're not, educate first. Top line company to deal with! I've recommended RockAuto dozens of times. Bill Warden on my girl's laptop!

Recently I purchased several items from Rock auto at phenomenal prices. I live in Canada where auto parts cost the proverbial arm and leg. Take my spark plug order for example. The spark plugs I need here in Canada cost $15.49 each, add 13% hst tax and my bill would have been $105.02. At Rock auto they were $5.15 each, with $10.48 shipping to Canada that's a total of $45.53 which is a savings of $59.49. That's a stupendous savings.

Ordered upholstery for 93 Silverado bench seat w/armrest. No issues with order issues or shipping, you get an A+ on that. However, I paid an upholstery shop to install the new upholstery, Apparently material wasn't cut properly from manufacturer, lines in the seat can not be installed straight. Hard to describe but it looks like a Walmart seat cover. To late to return and even if I did would have to pay for another install job.

I purchased strut assemblys. 3 min after ordering, I wanted to change the shipping method. Their help section told me to cancel the order and resubmit to make changes to the order. In a matter of 5min, the day I wanted went from $29.99 to $81.99. The day I already had went from $11.99 to $41.99. I ended up paying $30.00 more for the same day. Such nonsense.

Order side mirrors for my Suburban, advertisement said were heated mirrors. Mirrors I received were NOT heated. Contacted customer service to return items, but I needed the mirrors and settled for a $10 refund.

I ordered the resonator pipe, which is almost 6 feet long and wondered how it would come without damage. RA wrapped the sharp edges of the flanges and wrapped all the hardware to the pipe and the only negative was the Bosal pipe had a thicker flange to the CAT, and after using the heat wrench (Torch) to remove the 3 nuts, I had to heat up one of the studs in the CAT and knock it out and replace it with a bolt and lock washer and nut.

Rotors where a great price, warped so bad in 9 months they are not usable.
Just called and was told basically "to bad" warranty doesn't cover warpage, only defects from the manufacture,
This is a important point, brake rotors and drums heat up during braking, they are defective if by applying heat and they can not stay true they the metal they are using sucks.
AutoZone will take their products back with this type of problem.
Looks like somethings might be better spent at a "box" store case in point.
I have bought many things through Rockauto, but I feel like I've just been screwed.
Didn't save any money on this one.

Although I have been a Customer of RockAuto for quite some time and have made some decent purchases with which I am happy, I was floored at the lack of respect given me by Jaren, Jen and Chris when I had to return an item that was less than that shown in the picture.
This item had an excellent picture and I ordered it. When I received it, I had to return it due to the fact that, although close, it did not match the picture.
These three RockAuto Associates spent several e-mails to me trying to tell me that what I saw (with my own eyes) was not what I had purchased.
I did receieve a refund for the original purchase price including Shipping Costs but, not the Return Shipping Cost. This is even after "Chris" admitted that "His Associate" actually looked at the item I purchased and agreed with me by saying "It's looking like your order may be a Catalog Error and would yield a full refund".
I returned the item/s to RockAuto, Received the Refund but nothing of the Return Shipping Cost.
WHY? Because through all of the e-mails back and forth, I (the customer) was getting "pissed off".
So now what? Well as it turned out, I had made another purchase during the interim of trying to get this purchase resolved. "Chris" refused to ship that item and he issued a Full Refund for that purchase as well since I was "Pissed Off".

They call all of this "Customer Support" or "Customer Appreciation"?
I still want my $28.78 not to mention my time that I've got involved with all of this B.S.

Furthermore, other than a place to file a "Review", RockAuto has No Customer Complaint Support available. Now I know why Jaren, Jen and Chris were less than helpful, they knew nothing would happen.

Next Step: Better Business Bureau.

Horrible service on the phone, talked to a guy named Adam to see if I could get the actual picture of a crankshaft cause I have been receiving the wrong one several times. I asked for the warehouse number and he very rudely said nope. Then o told him I wanted to know if they had the right one in stock and he told me there online and he didn't want to help me. Everytime I've purchased from them they will generate a shipping label same day or the next day, however they don't end up shipping it out of the warehouse for up to 4-5 days. I've had several instances where the tracking info states that the carrier didn't actually receive the item until 4-5 days after Rockauto generated a shipping label.

Furthermore, Rockauto has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE so if anything goes wrong with your order you are out of luck getting any help. For this reason I have never ordered critically needed or high value parts from them.

We sent it back AND FOR THE SECOND TIME you sent the WRONG rotor. Now you want US to pay the shipping for YOUR MISTAKE!! Your customer service is TERRIBLE!!! I ordered (4) O2 sensors for my truck which is a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500HD 6.0L V8 which is what I put in the system. Two of them worked (upstream) and the two downstream ones they sent me were the incorrect part. It s THEIR websites fault, not mine. I was forced to pay for shipping the item they wrongly sent me and now they re refusing to reimburse me. Emailing them feels like you re talking to robots with programmed responses. I will NEVER deal with this company again. Also reporting to the BBB for bad business! Also, when they re done talking to you they will just close the case so you can t respond

Ordered a clutch with next day air...i got charged for next day air and the package was shipped with basic ground shipping....i called and they said there's nothing they can do talk to FedEx maybe they can.....Fedex couldn't....called back to rockauto and was told they could but it's on a wrapped pallet with a bunch of other packages and they don't want to go through that just to correct their mistake....then he hung up on me.....i will NEVER order from them again and I'll make sure rockauto's name is mentioned in the most negative way to every mechanic I know....

I placed an order for two new struts for my in-law...

I placed an order for two new struts for my in-laws van. On Saturday I went to install the new struts and came to find that THEY shipped me two left struts. The coil spring on the van is broken so the van is not drivable, and it s my in-laws only vehicle. So I called customer service and proposed a very reasonable solution. Since it was THEY made a mistake and shipped me the wrong part, I asked them to simply refund me the money for the part and cover the difference of what it would cost me to source one locally. That way I could get the van back on the road that same day (Saturday). When it became apparent that they would not be willing to do that, and that I was going to have cover any additional incurred costs due to their mistake, I thought fine, overnight me the correct part (on Monday, since it was Saturday) and at least I can get the van back on the road Tuesday. They were not even willing to consider that. That's when I got really mad. I simply can't believe they would not be willing to pay to expedite the shipping on a part to replace the wrong part the THEY shipped to me. They said the best they were willing to do is ship it to me standard 4-5 day shipping. What's worse is one of their employees stated that their policy is not to expedite shipping, but that sometimes they do make exceptions to that policy but would not make them for me since I probably wouldn't be a returning customer. OUTCH, talk about kicking someone when they are down. It shouldn't matter if I will still be a customer or not, you should DO THE RIGHT THING no matter what.

I have been a customer of RockAuto for many years. The prices are very good, and the items ship in a reasonable time. The only issue I have is the high shipping charges, The items are frequently shipped from various locations and the total shipping charges jumps up.On my recent order, 40% of the invoice was shipping charges.

Granted this is only the second time ordering parts off of your website. My experience has been awesome so far. The parts ordered have been the correct that I myself have looked up. I ordered brake pads on my truck once before and the pads have been great! The prices trump the prices at the local parts stores. Thank you for everything! :-)

Shopping online from RockAuto was probably the best online shopping experience I have ever had. Website was easy to navigate and I found all the parts I needed. The parts arrived ahead of their projected delivery dates and I was able to get the job done ahead of schedule. I saved big time by ordering online as opposed to buying my parts from a local parts store, RockAuto Rocks!

Shipped my bumper cover on a 53 footer. Trucking company was unable to deliver it, the street is too narrow for a big truck . Delivered back to sender, but tracking says delivered. Refused to refund the money and lied to PayPal that they didnt receive it back though they admitted to me that they did. I am out of 200 ($40 for the bumper and the rest for shipping). They deleted my review on their Facebook page, i hope they can't do anything about it here.

Rock Auto offers products from a variety of manufacturers at great prices. Unless a part is out of stock, you can expect delivery in about five business days (by USPS). Haven't had to deal with their customer service as I've never had any issues with a part or their service. I recommend them to everyone.

BUYER BEWARE!! Terrible customer experience with this company. Little to no customer service and you are left on your own to track and find packages they mis-ship. Had two packages get delivered to the wrong address, RockAuto WOULD NOT help correct the mistake, track their package, work with the shipping company they selected or refund/replace an item I never received! Sure, low cost parts, but you better hope you never have an issue with anything. I warn you, DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

One of the features I like is after putting a part in the 'cart', when you go back to order another, you see the notation 'part in cart' so you know where you are on the page. I have been a RockAuto customer for years. With the failure of an alternator 18 months into the 24 month warranty period, I have learned the ugly truth about dealing with this company. They admittedly have no customer service! There is nobody "up the line" who can help me with a problem with their staff and website. The front-line contact person responding to my email is either an idiot, or very good at their job - carelessly denying warranty claims and making customers go away. When they realized I was not going to just "go away", they refused multiple requests to elevate this case to a supervisor and closed my ticket. Don't be fooled, not all issues can be resolved by using their flawed website.
In the future I will gladly pay just a bit more at the local Auto Zone and Advance to get the same "quality" part with a lifetime warranty and more importantly, processing warranty claims are absolutely no problem. Take the failed part to the counter and they give you a new one.
RockAuto has a failed business model that should not be tolerated by customers. We deserve better treatment.
