I have ordered several parts from Rock Auto in the past 10 years. The parts are always great quality. I have found parts on their website that I can't find on other websites. Delivery is fast and checkout is easy. Their prices are great. I recommend RockAuto to my friends and family as well as repair shops (when the part is something I can't install myself).
Update:. I ordered a part on 12/3 in the a.m. and it arrived today 12/4. I appreciate the fast standard delivery.

My husband was very satisfied with the quality of the parts, the prices were great . We had to return something and yes, we had to pay halve of the shipping, which was something like $3.00 ( and no it wasn't just an o ring we sent back), since we used their discount and printed out a shipping label from the website . The money was back in our account the day after they received the returned parts. I also had to call customer service since one of the pages didn't want to load right and the rep was very nice and helped me with all my concerns . They did a great job.

Customer service is nonexistent. Part was ordered and did not fit my vehicle, even though I had my exact model selected. When attempting to return, I have to pay for shipping. Mind you this is a kit so I am being charged for each part rather than the kit the shipping was originally. What a scam of a company. I hope someone finds this review so they know the time and frustration I have dealt with this company. I will be posting on every review site I can and reporting to BBB as well.

Purchased a part that was defective. The part came with an unprotected metal finish also. The surface was painted before install. The part was defective and they would not give credit for the part because it was painted. 49000 mile jaguar brake booster. It deserved paint and the job took 6 hours to do. Beware of corporate policy. I own 2 shops and this taught me a lesson. Broke my own rule. Never buy from the Internet.After my second request I received a much deserved credit. I am grateful with concern.

When ordering parts the extra shipping cost for faster shipping is not accurate. Overnight is actually 2 days later. Rock Auto blames it on shipper while shipper blames Rock Auto.. around we go. Nobody takes blame and nothing is done about paying for a service you don't actually get.

They have NO customer service. When things go well (shipping, whatever) all is good. But if you have an issue they just stick by their policies and do not go out of their way. I will maybe be paying more but will be buying my parts where there is at least some customer service.

Ordered here and there over the years from RockAuto but never again after getting the wrong part and dealing with a nightmare of a return.

I ordered the correct part. Wrong part was sent. Confirmed by RockAuto and they still dont refund my initial shipping cost?? Yes, I know you cant recover that cost either, but be accountable for your mistake and do right by the customer. My recieving the wrong part should not cost me $10. And with no CS phone number and a complicated RMA process I just got so frustrated and never got my shipping refunded. Disappointed and now need a new auto part source.

Rock Auto SUCKS. I ordered 5 parts and had to return 3 because they were wrong.The parts came in old ripped up old boxes and when compared to the pictures in the catalog werent even the same. It cost me $26.16 to ship the items back and now I have to find them somewhere else. I lost a lot of money and wasted two weeks of my time, and my vehicles still arent fixed. I will never deal with them ever again. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! I emailed customer service and no one ever contacted me back. As some one stated earlier when I called on the phone the guy started arguing with me about the order. Go to partstrain.

I tested rock auto as Ive read various opinions about them.
and in this first order - they sent me ac iridium spark plugs in the box that was damaged a bit before it was shipped to me [i paid shipping]
the gap was off in 2 of the plugs.
the box instructed to gap them properly for the vehicle.
as these arrived not all correct - I tried calling and was told it is an on line order site and I needed to use the link on the site to address the problem and there would be answers there.
I used the recommended link, but it only offered 2 options of return for exchange or refund. and i completed that.
the next day customer service contacted me :)
and I asked them if I could just adjust the gap and use the plugs? they replied it would shorten the plug life and was not recommended. please return for a refund. [im out $5.99 on shipping] shucks
they sent a return label for fedex.
there are only express trucks in our area and the nearest fedex ground depot is about 65 mile from here.
so they sent me a USPS label and will charge me $1.78 to return these plugs.
I wrote explaining that I paid to have them ship these plugs to me and now through no fault of my own they want me to pay more to return these?

this is not a fair business practice.
ship bad product - no support and then to charge more to return parts that were damaged there before it was shipped.

it seems rock auto failed this test on the first order.

So I decided to give Rockauto, LLC another shot after a previous experience ended in not 1, not 2, not 3 but ALL 4 brake lines for my car being wrong. I had to fight with them to send me a return slip so I could get a refund because of their error. Fast forward to this week. I ordered a couple parts for my wifes car and paid extra to receive them by the end of the week Friday. I ordered these on Tuesday, well now its Saturday night and still no parts. Escalated via Rockautos website and now being told to wait till the 23rd of July as that's when they will investigate. Rockauto use to be good, and against my better judgement I decided to give them another shot. I should have trusted my gut.

Their shipping is fast and accurate. I have ordered everything from a bumper cover to fog lights for our sports car and every single transaction I have been overall happy with!

The only problems I have had with Rock Auto, where actually created by myself (I ordered a wrong part number). Being a little bullheaded I was mad, but I finally realized that I was the one at fault, not Rock Auto. I can say nothing bad about this company, and their pricing and service have been far beyond any other company. They carry quality parts, and the less expensive one should someone not have money for the more costly parts. Anyone looking for a good quality part at a real fair price should at least look at Rock Auto prices.

Your parts stores are higher than,I have seen before comparing prices ,between the auto parts stores in Rock Auto in Rock Auto PCM 100% on the prices so if you need parts for your car or truck.I recommend RockAuto.

You cannot a more complete and quality rendered products than that on RockAuto. Hands down, they give you a large percentage difference in savings and the products are here when they say they will. They dont care about you and its not as cheap as you think. They will make you pay for their mistakes and you start to uncover the true costs behind shopping with rock auto. Parts may be cheap but you have to pay them an extra 10 to 15 for shipping shen you reveive a wrong part or damaged or part that was shipped in an open box and you reveive it hanging half out.

I hope you never use RockAuto! They sold me inferior parts and would not honor their stated warranty. I ordered two strut mounts for my 1995 Lexus SC400. Within eight months, one of them broke. They replaced it. About a month out of warranty, the other mount broke. Then, about four months the replacement mount broke! Now RockAuto refuse to reimburse me for the replacement that broke within a six month period. The worst thing about this company is that you cannot talk to anyone! I would never purchase anything from them again. Their inferior parts and their lack of customer service has cost me well over $400.00 in labor expense!

Did not receive a part in the mail. Took six weeks for the second part to be delivered. It was damaged. And in a resealed box. They knew it was damaged. Lousy customer service. If you receive a defective part it will take forever to exchange. You may save a few dollars but it's better to deal with a parts store down the street that you can get a new part in mediately under warranty. Read all the reviews on all the websites. It is all true. They call their customers Liars.

My story is one of complete frustration. I purchased a power mirror from them, installed it on my car, and it did not work. Very upsetting. Then I found out from their customer service that the only way to get another mirror before waiting for them to receive this one shipped back... was to purchase a second mirror. Then when they receive my return I will get credit back for the first one. Also ... they making me pay for the shipping on their defective part to return it. So I pay shipping twice. This is their policy - a defective part ends up costing the customer extra money, besides the extra time and besides the frustration of having to install it twice. I have dealt with many online auto vendors and have never seen such terrible policies. I will never use or recommend them again.

Second time in a row I have had my jeep torn down in preparation for a part coming in. (This time a radiator) They don't pack their items with any protection and always show up broken. Now I have to post pone my weekend plans AGAIN. To wait for a new part. I'll take my business to Amazon from now on.

I Have had two separate orders this month from Rock Auto. Both arrived with amazing speed, one arrived the very next day. The parts were correct and a good value for the price range I CHOSE, in both instances. They afford you the opportunity to purchase the cheapest or to up grade to better or best parts. If you choose cheap, well, you get what you paid for sometimes but the choice is yours. I see many fault Rock for cheap parts, they don't make them they sell them and again you choose the quality of part you want. If you don't know the difference or what is best for you, then go to someone who does know the difference and pay them to get it right.
I am extremely pleased with every order I have received from them but then I read and compare before I buy and if I am not certain still, I do more research as that is my responsibility not theirs so I don't order the wrong parts.

I needed a refund on a part and the only customer service I received was a computer telling me my BRAND NEW PART I JUST ORDERED and paid $258.00 for is nonreturnable. My plans were to get a refund or store credit if possible and then purchase a more expensive part that is needed but I guess my business is going elsewhere. I will say, I have done business with Rockauto several times, up until now I have had no problems.

I have bough a lot of parts from Rock Auto. Recently I got a bad axle from them. I was surprised that I had to pay return shipping to send it back for a refund when they sent me a bad part. Also, I put a review on their site with one star and it never showed up. If you check their site, the reviews all look good. Feedback tampering from Rock Auto. Here on Google, you see bad feedback. So, Rock Auto, where is my bad feedback? And why do people have to pay to return a bad part? At least at your local parts house, they will take back a bad part for free.

I just got my water pump for my 96 S10, I ordered it late mon. and received it today (fri.) at 11:00 am. It's an ACDelco, no one in my area could come close the price of "Rock Auto". Yes I could have got a Taiwan reman a lot cheeper. I live in central Pa. and can't believe how fast it got here! This is the third time I ordered from "Rock Auto". Last time I needed rear spring shackles, they were on back order every where I checked locally, got them at "Rock Auto" for less than price quoted from locals, IF and WHEN they came in! I also have a 97 Geo Metro that needed lifters. I couldn't find them anywhere. I finally found "2" through GM, at a cost of 170.00.That's when I found "Rock Auto". I got the rest at 7.00 a piece! I've been a mechanic all my life, I understand that sometimes you have to walk out of a parts store with part in hand, but if you can wait just a couple days, "Rock Auto" is worth it !

Purchased several parts from Rockauto; ordered one Mopar 68174083AA thermostat against order # 99885363 for $16.78; when thermostat arrived the bag was torn open, Mopar 68174083AA thermostat was replaced with a cheaper price $11.80 Motorad thermostat (ripoff). Bag has a yellow inventory tag on it which usually mean a misplaced item; no one really know what item is. Never again.

Great source of new replacement or repair parts with brand names at low prices. I found new parts for a 1982 Fiat that I am restoring that i could not get locally. Delivery was prompt and resonable. I have placed multiple orders and nothing came through wrong or unacceptable. Good company that I can recommend with confidence. Better than Amazon or Ebay. Buy with confidence. Give RockAuto a look. You won't be sorry.

A little upset, as I opted for a higher grade product and what shipped was an lower grade product. This is false advertisement of the actual part, and I would like to return the part for the correct advertised part but the return cost is 70% more than the original shipping cost. On the return forms there is no option for their error of not providing current information on their product. Their are multiple parts listed for any particular vehicle and if you research the product and pick a product based on info and pictures and alternate items are shipped then that should be RockAuto's and their subcontractors error not the consumer. The return slip states part not wanted! I would like someone from RockAuto to contact me as their is no costumer service links.

Using the site to make an order was very confusing. When on certain pages could not find a way back to my order. Because I left off a ZIP code prior to paying by PAYPAL, order posted differently to be paid by Paypal. Prices are very good, except for delivery fees. A very light weigh plastic inner fender, cost me less than $10, but cost $14 shipping!
Finding the part wasn't too bad, but finding additional parts was again a pain, and as of yet have not done so.

After looking up RockAuto and finding their A+ Better Business Bureau rating, I placed an order for brake pads, rotors, hardware kit, and anti-friction springs. Even after shipping costs, the total came to $20 less than the cheapest pads and rotors alone from the Autozone down the street. Even more surprising was that my order, which came from several of their warehouses, arrived complete at my door TWO DAYS after I placed it online. I am now a loyal customer thanks to their awesome service.

This is the best parts store I have ever experienced both on-line or brick and mortar. I have been using RockAuto for several years and have never had a problem with anything yet. They have such a wide selection of parts and many choices for the same part. You can spend as much as you want, but I have experienced that some of the close outs are the best value, because you get a quality product at a very reduced price. You can pay more if you want but I like the choices.

Have utilized Rock Auto for nearly 4 years & their service & delivery have been 100%. They even accepted a return of a part I'd procrastinated installing, decided not to use, but was past the return date policy. They accepted the return based upon my "excellent order history". My latest experience was typical of all others; except I needed a copy of the "receipt" for a rebate offer. It was so easy to get from the website; I've taken crap from my Golden Retriever all night long because he said it was so easy I should've let him do it. :-)
