When you call the reservations they are very nice and accommodating but when u get there the staff are not Except for the food/bar area by pool they were Awesome! We had a wedding at The Hall of Fame that was incredible but the hotel was poor at best. My 85 yo father in law called down for help w bags and wheel chair for his wife and they didn't have help for him. I booked and paid for a room in my son's name but they wouldn't allow him in the room. I called the local sales office and left messages 3 days in a row prior to the wedding and I'm still waiting for that call back. I could go on and on... I was told it was a busy weekend but isn't that there responsibility to have the employees not mine to have to deal with there incompetence?

Not at all what I expected. The receptionist had bad looks and an attitude. The room wasn t at all what we expected, we thought it d be nicer because of the price but nope, the room was small and the carpet had a weird smell. It was really somewhat far from the downtown in St. Augustine so if this is where you want to go DONT STAY HERE. They appear to fancy and all and they charge $10 a day for parking AT THE HOTEL which I ve never been charged for. Oh, and also! You d expect at least free WiFi and nope the also charge $10 a day!! I don t normally write reviews but I was so disappointed of this place that I didn t want anyone else spending their money and ruining their vacations.

Stayed here a while ago and really liked it. Came to st. Augustine on vacation with my dad and it was a prettt short commute. Staff was friendly and the restaurant right next store was pretty good. Looks a little run down. Seems as though maybe 5 years ago there s was more to do, or maybe we just came the wrong time of year? Either way loved it and would recommend.

Room was very nice and spacious. Great open area to hang out. It was very clean. It had a nice pool, bar area, games to play, and plenty of parking. We were staying for a fishing tournament and had plenty of room to park boats. The kids even fished in the lake outside the hotel.

Not the best. The appearance on the outside and main area near the elevators is what you are paying for. The rooms were not good, we were charged a parking fee yet we parked our own car. And when we arrived it was a huge area of throw up right in the middle of where you stand for check-in just sitting ... awful

Overpriced and far from everything. The room was small, floor dirty, and beds are only big enough for one person. Booked two nights but cancelled the second. Due to location, size of room, and lack of cleanliness the room needs to be at least $50 cheaper.

We checked in here at 12:30am. Front desk guy was very nice and very quick. Easy parking.

Or room is terrible. The HVAC unit makes a very annoying sound. It goes tick tick tick every second. How is this something missed by cleaning staff and not fixed by maintenance!!? The room also smells very bad. Like cigarette smoke and 20 years of air freshener. Everything is very worn out. Plugs fall right out of plugins. A pet peeve of mine. The tap handle for the sink and the tub is loose and moves all over the place, seems like it will fall off.

This hotel uses those toilets that blast pressurized water. In and of itself not a bad thing. However they do it with such gusto it's very loud. When you're trying to sleep at night you can hear toilets all around you flushing, it sounds like gunshots. Not great.

If there is a party in the lobby bar you will hear it all night until they're finished. Sound travels up the atrium and right into your room.

I can't possibly recommend that anyone stay here. Go into St. Augustine and stay there.

So sad. The Hall of fame is awesome but almost the entire rest of the "Village"" is empty. Caddy Shack restaurant is terrific also but the mini putt is gone, all the stores are gone..Renaissance hotel and restaurant is very good also. Some of the brickwork and granite signature blocks are cracked and uneven..

Stayed here two days on our honeymoon in 2014 and had a great time. The drive in was a little sad looking, lots of shuttered storefronts etc but the inside was nice enough. We had room service the first night and I remember thinking it was a pretty good value for the money. The accommodations were excellent and the beds were comfortable. Not sure how it it these days but this place used to be pretty good.

Very nice hotel, check in was a snap and the employee assisting me was extremely nice and helpful. The room was pretty clean but not spotless. Comfortable beds and the hotel has a home feeling to in especially with the easy the lobby is set up. I will definitely be staying here in the future.

Customer service was great! Room service and the food delicious! The rooms were the same as any middle budget hotel. Very clean just nothing spectacular or over the top for a golf hotel. The grounds to get to the resort are beautiful. If you like golf this is where u would like to stay. But it is. Or close to downtown nor is it close to the beach.

I have stayed here many times throughout the years. I even had this hotel as one of my favorites on my reward account. Sadly, after my last 4th of July stay, I most likely will not be back. The rooms are run down and smell of cigarette smoke. Plus the director of operations of 2.5 years (Kesheem H.) was plain rude and unprofessional. So dissapointed!! The hotel was so nice in the day. The staff and management always spot on for customer service. It is not the same hotel as it used to be. It is now run down and filled with rude staff. I am sure if there are others out there who have stayed here prior and came and stayed now, would agree with me that just not the same hotel. : (

This hotel deserve 5 stars instead of 4 stars, friendly staff, free shuttle to private beach resort belonging by the hotel. Good location for visiting the oldest town of the USA, St.Augustine. This hotel is excellent for vacation, business and of course golf.

We stayed over new year's Eve. The hotel was very busy but the staff went above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and our king suite was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel had a live band and a NYE party set up in the atrium with a special menu planned at the hotel restaurant. We had a very nice stay and would definitely go back to stay again.

Stayed in a villa and there was construction going on in the unit above us, so we heard noise from 8am to 10pm. We also had a problem with palmetto bugs. The village, which consists of stores and restaurants, were all closed up. The miniature golf was deplorable...like putting on railroad tracks. The golf courses are in good shape.

Very Clean, Quiet, great service and great rooms. I have stayed here many times. There are not many Retail Stores or Restaurants any more possible downside if that is what you are looking for.

I stopped by the hotel after I had to evacuate due to Hurricane Irma. I told them I have a cat and asked if we could stay for one night. I have been on the road for several days and exhausted. They said no, we don't accept pets. I said will you please make an exception. I explained I had evacuated and was on my way home and I was exhausted. They said nope , nothing that we can do. They had barely anyone in their parking lot and several rooms to spare. I told them do you realize the Govenor of Florida encouraged hotels to be lenient with their pet polices, and to help hurricane evacuees. They said yes, we did allow pets for a couple days, but the storm is over now and we cannot help you. I explained to them that I had a flat tire the day before, while traveling home and had to wait on the side of the road for over 3 hours. They said well we cannot help you. I also informed the manager and staff, that I stayed at their hotel 2 times prior, but they still didn't care. I told them it's incredibly sad that you will not help my cat and me, during this difficult time. I found another hotel (St.Augustine Hotel and Suites) and called them and they said bring your cat and we will not charge you a pet fee or anything. I was so thankful for St. Augustine Hotel & Suites. They were gracious and helpful. I do not recommend World Golf Village Renaissance. They were unbelievablely unsympathetic, even during a time of such devastation to all of Florida, including their area. So sad!!
