Renaissance World Golf Village Resort Review

The location is prime. About 20 minutes from downtown ST. Augustine and about 25 minutes from the outskirts of Jacksonville.

World Golf Village Renaissance has okay amenities with a pool and jacuzzi but due to covid some things are closed but that s to be expected for now.

The restaurant and bar close at 10pm and I think they would benefit from staying open until 11 or Midnight.

The issue that I have with World Golf Village Renaissance is the cleanliness, covid is a great opportunity to deep clean and catch up on things. The floors are sticky and the rooms have a musty smell that can stick in the nostrils for hours. There is black mold near the ceiling in the shower of the room that we stayed in. The sheets and towels were fine but the mattress was in poor condition and probably should have been replaced a few years ago. The water on the property smelled as if they are neglecting maintenance on their water softener / green sand filter on their water system.

Overall the hotel is in desperate need of renovation to keep its status as a 4 star hotel on a world class golf course.

Also you will get a surprise $10 per day parking fee upon checkout. Go stay somewhere else until they get it together.

Not superior, but okay. I don't golf anymore, but the place appeared to be efficient.

The hotel grounds are surrounded by a huge golf course. The hotel was clean, and the room was fantastic. We had a room with a balcony which overlooked a parking lot and a roof, but it was still very nice. I would stay here again.

Always a great time at the renaissance hotel. Everything is super clean and nice. All amenities in the room were excellent and the views are nothing short of amazing.

Idiot staff who are not smart enough to simply switch me to a room where the TV works...can't wait to talk to their management and report 2 of their supposed managers are as stupid as they appeared!

When we arrived Nikki at the front desk helped us booked our tee time and check into our room with a balcony. The lobby is beautiful with modern art and golf themed throughout. The grounds of the World Golf Hall of Fame are impeccable as should be expected. The facility Is A+. Both golf courses are immaculate and extremely challenging. Just 20 minutes from downtown St Augustine, this location can't be beat if you want to take a week or weekend visit to St Augustine. The breakfast buffet at the Villagio is delicious. They have shuttle service all over the grounds and even to St Augustine.

Nice place. Room was as expected, not s suite, but nice. Rowdy down at the bar til about 10pm, u can hear throughout the 10 or so floors.

A little dated. My room smelled musty. Nice if you like golf.

Was there for charity luncheon.We had some disappointments as far as contracted arrangements but

No microwave,no coffee maker no terrace,when one was requested,and wanted first level floor,was given the 3rd floor..Will not go back,lousy pillows

This place is wonderful. We had a terrible experience at the st. Augustine inn down the road, and the Renaissance took us in and it happened to be a cheaper cost. The Renaissance is clean, modern, and the workers are so polite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Clean hotel with a lot of style. Staff was friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Easy access to Murrys Caddyshack for a fun place to eat. Had a great time here.

Easy to see from the interstate going south. Very long drive from the entrance. Clean and friendly. No issues.

Rooms are nice, large, and clean, however they could be arranged/equipped differently to better use space that is wasted by an extra large closet and kitchenette (with fridge but no microwave). Bathroom is awkward because door blocks entry to a separate toilet area that is technically not closed off but is blocked by the main door. Staff is welcoming and pleasant. Just okay stay overall, and may try again in different room.

World Golf Village is a beautiful area, the amenities always seem great, yet the last two times, there has been an issue structurally with the building. The management has always done their best to accommodate.

The room was OK, but lacked a few things that we would have liked, the first would be a coffee pot and small micro wave. Since most dinning services were not operating due to the pandemic it would have been nice to fix some food in the room. Because we were staying two nights they did no room cleaning so we had to ask for things that ran out on a daily basis. This place is a bit out of the way with little services nearby.

If anybody is looking for deals for hotels head to . reserved a hotel room on there and these guys had the lowest prices just about anywhere!

Room was very nice and spacious. Great open area to hang out. It was very clean. It had a nice pool, bar area, games to play, and plenty of parking. We were staying for a fishing tournament and had plenty of room to park boats. The kids even fished in the lake outside the hotel.

My sister just hosted her reception in one of their ballrooms and the experience was excellent. While one of the lights in the room kept flickering and the employees seemed confused about whether to keep the lights on or turn them off altogether, the catered food was truly exceptional. The bread pudding they served, holy cow, it's a running joke with my family how much I love that stuff. All in all, I'd say I'd consider the venue for any future events I have in mind.

One of the greatest times my husband and I share. It was beautiful, wonderful, and one of the most cherished Times we had together.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the staff was snobby and had a lot of attitude. The food was overpriced for the poor quality. The door to our room sometimes failed to lock. Would not go again for the price we paid.

This hotel was terrible. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a wedding and reserved a room online. The option we chose was a king size bed. They ended up giving us two double beds and were not able to move us into another room with a king size bed because they were booked, so we were stuck sleeping on a double bed. The sink had black residue when we entered the room. When we used the sink, it would not drain along with the shower, which is absolutely disgusting. The bathroom also had a strong smell of pee as if they didn t even clean the bathroom. There was dust EVERYWHERE. I felt completely dirty staying here and would not recommend or stay here again. I was highly disappointed with our stay.

Normally, is excellent but so many things off this time. Little things Ike front door broken restrooms in the course boarded up. Power outlets in rooms not working, iron leaking water, and the worst, no apples in the apple barrel on the course.

For the ladies, If you want to feel like a Queen and your daughters like princesses... this is the place. Beautiful, clean, perfect balcony, excellent service. Just planning to book my next trip this Christmas... I'll give them a 10

This hotel is beautiful, I absolutely love everything about it pyshically. However... I think when someone reserves a king size bed room several months in advance, that is what they should get. What is the point of a reservation if we are going to be given what is left when we get here? I shouldn't have to sleep in a different bed than my husband, especially for the price that we are paying to stay here.

Beautiful views. Great customer service. Drinks are great and the bartender. Rooms are nice. Only bad thing is the bathrooms definitely need a renovation / updating. Beds and pillows are super comfortable!

Hotel is nice, but the evening staff are all but ghost's as it took us 2 hours to find someone about the 20 person party on the 4th floor, they must have been at the party, police came in shut down the party escorted everyone out, while someone complained about getting their money back.

I only visited the convention center but I found the area to be very nice, and the staff was very helpful. I especially appreciated the security that was provided for the event, as it made the entire thing feel much safer.

The location was a little off the beaten path & not the most convenient if you wanted to go sightseeing in St. Augustine. However the rooms are really nice, staff is very friendly, & the hotel was a great venue for a conference.

I just stayed here this past weekend for my wedding. This was the BEST DECISION EVER! I stayed in the presidential suite and it was one of the best parts about my wedding it was huge and clean and beautiful! The staff had a card and champagne for us after our wedding. The staff is also absolutely amazing everyone is so friendly! We will definitely be coming back!

It is a beautiful resort overall. You circle around the entire golf course as you make your way to the hotel itself, and it is quite beautiful. The interior of the resort is stunning as well. It is overall an amazing place to visit.

My stay at World Golf Village was delightful and a nice getaway. At check-in, Brandon, was very kind, friendly, and helpful. He made me feel welcome and was able to upgrade me to a very nice suite. I went to lunch in the hotel restaurant on the first day and brunch the next day. The food is delicious, the restaurant staff are friendly and efficient. The brunch is awesome! I went to the hotel lounge in the evening and the bar tenders were both fun and professional. I went there to listen to the music, provided by Billy Buchanan, and he is a very talented musician. I really enjoyed the sounds of Motown. I also went to the IMAX theater while at WGV and enjoyed the 3D version of the Lion King. Even if you don't play golf, there are plenty of things to do at World Golf Village. There are nice restaurants at the golf clubs, plus the Caddy Shack. There are nature walks, a pool and spa, and the World Golf Hall of Fame is very interesting. I highly recommend World Golf Village for a very pleasant getaway!

Was better previous times we stayed. Did not help there was a boys sports tournament there with little parental supervision.

The Hotel is not bad but what I don't like is that to have Internet you have to pay

Enjoyed a weekend stay. There was not much going on, but it was super relaxing.

I was there for two nights and three days, friendly staff
The Room was very noisy, i couldnt sleep, fridge and A/C were making big noise.
Also the lock on the room door was broken.
Room was clean.
The guy who checked me in said that i will have golf view on my room but instead i get to see the roof tops of some small facilities :(

Went to the fireworks show and the staff was very courteous.

Did not stay here but have been to the convention center part for a couple different cheer camps and exhibitions. Good facilities.

Our company usually host our annual Award Banquet here. They have nice meeting room and good foods. Large parking area and can be a bit confusing if you come here for the first time.

Staff is wonderful and rooms are nice. My room needed a bit more cleaning as there was hair left from previous guest in the bathroom. Beds are amazingly comfortable.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Located directly in the world golf village. Convenient. If we are traveling further south we stop here for a little golf and spa time.
