I really enjoy this hotel. There are a ton of on-site activities, great restaurants on the property, and a beautifully designed Lobby. If I had any criticism, which is not really a real criticism, is that there's not much around the area of the hotel.
Beautiful area, the convention halls were very large and roomy, the staff was really accommodating and helpful.
The hotel it self was beautiful room was nice we had a view but it was bad the green area was nice but it was over the roof top and we could hear all the equipment on the roof and got top
Was at the tattoo convention this past weekend. Kinda hard to navigate the maze of parking lots, but the hotel itself was quite nice. Helpful staff and a beautiful hall for the convention
Manager Jenny & Kevin in the Banquet Hall are the absolute best.
Property is beautiful well maintained, hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable, hotel for its size is quiet. Only real downfall was the initial check in process. Lady who assisted had a very difficult time figuring out that I was staying two days and not one.
Other than that a beautiful location.
My wife and I went there to see the premiere of the new Black Panther at the IMAX thereafter there so we stayed over night. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The exception is the security guard who told us to leave the pool. He was rude and acted as if we were not paying guest. I didn't say anything at the time because I did not want the staff to think we were not complying. This kind of ruined the night for us. I told the front desk person who was apologetic. I didn't want anything to happen to the guard but I felt very disrespected. This was the only reason for them getting three stars from me at this time. The other time we visited food a conference it was five star service.

Words cant express how much I love the city of Saint Augustine. This city is my escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This hotel is just the icing to my cake. Rooms are large, staff all around are wonderful. The bellman who helped me up was just friendly and very knowledgable!! Thank yall for making our trip a remarkable one. We look forward to seeing you soon!!!!
Nice hotel with great amenities. Disappointed that even though they are a Marriott property that they do not even honor the basic perks afforded to Marriott Elite Rewards members.
Booked a room for a very special occasion. The entire hotel staff made it an incredible experience. Great stay. Clean room. Beautiful views. Delicious food. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Excellent customer service, ease to checking in...
No king size beds available as in our reservation. "Maybe if we checked back later, checked in at 4:00pm, the might be one available. We could check tomorrow, maybe there might be one available. Told our reservation for a king bed was just a request, even though it was confirmed. Two doubles was what we got.
First room on 8th floor, opened the door, horrible mold/mildew smell hit us before the door was even fully open. Didn't even go inside. 2nd room much nicer, no smell.
However there was not any drawers to put our clothes in. Can't believe it, when did hotels stop having drawers to put your clothes. I am really disappointed in you....
My sister and I stayed at this resort for spring break and we really enjoyed it. The amenities were amazing inside of the resort condo. The condo provided everything that we needed and more so that we were very comfortable. And the kids love the pool and the playground area. We would definitely love to come back.
This hotel has seen better days. The furniture shows its age and the rooms could use refreshing. The bar and dining room were staffed well, but again the furnishings appeared worn. Many of the shops in the village are empty. Two stars are appropriate.
In short, great customer service, beautiful and convenient location, rooms look could be improved, very noisy ice machine on the 8th floor near the double bed areas.
Good for golfing, but it requires a significant drive to get to major tourist cities. Staff is very good, as is food, thought it is expensive
Overall staff were kind, helpful and polite. Rooms were large and comfortable, and everything inside them worked.
Getting to the hotel was a little odd - the road was like a giant spiral, but the hotel has shuttles to downtown St. Augustine, which was very convenient.
A few things that could use improvement:
Most rooms are around a large Central lobby area that goes all the way to the top floor and there is little to no soundproofing. There is a bar in said lobby. People get loud. Please better soundproof the rooms (the 1" gap under the door doesn't help either).
No ventilation in the bathrooms (FL is humid enough, and people do actually use the bathroom for things other than showering).
Night guards were slightly rude at night - to guests in the lobby that were staying for a convention - for aforementioned echo chamber effect of the lobby.
Starbucks in lobby did not accept Starbucks gift cards (why)?
Menu for in hotel restaurant did not list all ingredients for several items ordered. Food was delicious, though, and very well priced.
Overall a good experience.
Well-appointed Golf Resort good service and amenities management pays attention to details. Rooms are Monitor and updated with wonderful amenities. If your Marriott Platinum Elite member this Resort does not have a Concierge Lounge or concierge floor also not very easy to get an upgrade. Make sure you request a balcony room and views of the golf course otherwise housekeeping and belstaff did an outstanding job.
Last night, (Nov. 28) I decided to try out the villagio bar and grill and the Renaissance on a recommendation from a friend. After reading a few reviews, I was skeptical, but wanting to get away from the mess downtown but still wanting to have something "local". The hostess, Krystin, was amazing. Not only was she warm and welcoming, she treated me and my guest as though we were guests at the hotel, giving us numerous recommendations on things to do around town. After informing her that we were in fact locals, we made some small talk and she left us to our waiter, chase. Chase was equally attentive, and our food was great (as a past chef, I usually can find something I don't enjoy, but everything was to my standards or above!) Upon leaving, Krystin checked in to make sure everything was to our liking, asked us to come back and see them again (which we will be) and informed us of their normal specials, plus their Christmas eve special! I highly recommend this dining establishment.
We enjoyed a Sunday brunch here prior to our visiting the World Golf Hall of Fame. We enjoyed everything from smoked salmon with capers, cream cheese and crumbled eggs, to custom-made omelets. There were various cheeses and cold cuts, fruits, and cereals offered. This is a true brunch.
If you leave this brunch hungry, you have no one to blame but yourself. We would suggest you get there earlier rather than later, as some of the items were depleted. However, when we asked for cheese blintzes because there were none left, they were made fresh for us. And they were delicious!
We ordered the $19 brunch; you can also get a $15 brunch.
Absolutely perfect for for golfer that want a little space
Pretty clean. Lots of hand sanitizer stations.Our tub curtain could have been a little better. Noticed some dark mold areas on the bottom of the curtain. Nice hotel. Wish the cafe (Starbucks) was open longer. Beautiful indoor river. Space under the doors allow noise and you can see shadows of people passing by. Registrantion staff were helpful. Didn't use pool but there is one available. Gym with sauna. Small kids arcade. Has a business area. Does have an eating area as well as event rooms. Great walking area. Walking distance from Golf Hall of Fame and Golf courses. Sad that there weren't many shops. Outlets near by.

The location was very convenient, great service, wonderful rooms. I was here for business and it was a wonderful place to stay. The staff assisted with everything I asked and went above and beyond being helpful. I would definitely stay again!!
We had a really bad experience through a hotel booking website. We got rebooked at World Golf Village Renaissance and the supervisor Sim really came through for us in making sure that we were able to not only stay there but were also able to get an upgraded room at no additional charge because of the problems that we had. I can't speak highly enough of this Resort and I would love to stay there again in the future.

Staff is super friendly! Our room however had a leaking mini fridge and smelled like cigarettes.
The amenities were as expected, we just use this as home base for our golf vacation and it always works out

I was recently visiting this hotel for a convention and did not dtay in a room but the World Golf Village Renaissance is a very beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities. I was there with my 3 year old and she played on the modest playground (no slide and a broken rocking toy) otherwise it was clean. The lobby was beautiful with a "stream" and waterfall running through it. There are plenty of food establishments including a cafe that served starbucks. The hotel staff were courteous. The parking lot is weird and long and took a while to walk to the front lobby but they did have valet. Overall the hotel was lovely and I would definitely like to stay longer.
Had a great stay and nice and friendly staff.only reason for 4 stars is they need to update the place. But it is nice. I would stay again.
World Gold Village was amazing! I had prom there and it was absolutely spectacular!
I found bedbugs when we arrived and the room we were moved to was humid and musty and made me and the sheets feel moist the whole time. The overall grounds and hotel are nice enough but the hotel denied any bedbug evidence and now I'm about to spend a ton of money a month later on a professional fumigation because I traveled and stayed here.
As always, excellent service at the bar and restaurant!!
A nice place to sleep after a long day at the little league fields. They close the pools a little too early though.

Pretty good stay, clean hotel and rooms, relatively quiet despite high occupancy. Hot buffet breakfast was excellent. Room service was prompt and very good. Only minor negative was housekeeping took our large towels and forgot to leave new ones.
Nice hotel. The people are very welcoming and at your service. Rooms are on the higher priced side however this is what you expect while coming to the Renaissance hotel.

If you are into golf this is your spot. Golf Hall of Fame is located on property and the Golf academy is also by here. Room are cozy and awesome and bed so soft ..I may have been tired.. customer service was excellent thanks to the young lady "Yara". Welcomed my wife with spectacular Greeting during check in. She can't stop talking about how she spoke. The pool,the ping-pong,game room not to mention IMAX theater this place was loved by my kids . I'll be back:)
Our stay at the Renaissance Golf Village Resort was Wonderful due to Brandon who efficiently and professionally got us checked in and made us feel welcome at this property. He was friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed for a great stay. Thank you Brandon for making us feel Special.
This is a most beautiful Renaissance hotel, but due to Covid, it is sliding with not enough staff to clean the rooms as they should and it looks like the roofs are in need of repair. The lobby is gorgeous.
This was a nice quaint place for a getaway. Definitely would return. The wow factor wasn't there, but its a good place to be.

I have to be honest, I was kicked out of this place because a Travelocity error. Kicked, I mean that they got overbooked and they couldn t help me to stay for one extra night with my family and end up finishing my Saint Augustine visit in a Holiday Inn. But they deserve 4 stars. The front desk staff was helpful and they where really concerned with my case. The rooms are ok, even when the water cane brown in the bath tub. The location is impressive and if you are an avid golf player, this is like paradise. The lobby and recreational areas are up to a resort. The location is 20 minutes from Saint Augustine, but that means no traffic and free parking. The room service food (From the restaurant in the first floor) was exquisite.

Staff were nice and helpful, overall asthetic was beautiful. only complaint was the beds and pillows felt cheap.
This place is an absolute disaster. Screaming children in lobby awoke us twice after 10:00 pm from 9th out of 9 floors, and staff didn t do anything. Said they d call for help but didn t and I went down after 15 minutes of loud noise. I stood in my robe for 10 minutes in lobby while they pretended to ignore me. Said it s a public place so they couldn t do anything. Told me to talk to parents which I had done. I then asked if I could then make a ton of noise and awaken people, then was told they would have me arrested. They apparently need to check people in but don t care about those who have spent $150 to sleep and the same amount at dinner. I can get a refund if I leave now; of course after 30 minutes my kid is back asleep so I m not going to wake him. This was supposed to be a fun night and is a sincere disappointment from an uncaring and super untrained staff. This is far from a four star property. Bad brand image for this hotel specifically and Marriott in general. Since we travel most of year, will not be supporting another property in this company.
A lovely place for playing golf weekend! It's about 45 minutes from Jacksonville.
It's a nice resort. They have a gym, pool, golf, food and drinks and even an IMAX screen nearby. The room was comfortable.
It was very nice. The only con is the neighbor upstairs were a little noisy. I would recommend getting the top floor. The resort has elevators. They are a little slow but bearable.

My wife and I arrived and our room was a double bed, not the resorts fault we just weren't specific. Went to the front desk and Laura upgraded us to a suite and the wife was very happy. Aaron down at the restaurant was very professional and his customer service was 5star ,Awesome experience

It's located on a golf course and has a pool in a great location which is very convenient. The room is very nice and clean, plenty of space, and comfortable bed. Great view and everything is close by. We also got a great deal on a great room!
