My wife and I did a staycation anniversary trip herr and had a great experience. Rooms were spacious and clean and hotel bar had great atmosphere with some live music. Hotel breakfast buffet was outstanding, but you pay the typical high breakfast buffet prices.

I was disappointed. I could hear my neighbors through the wall and everyone in the hallway. I thought for $200+ a night, I would have had a more peaceful stay. Staff were very polite and professional.

This place is very nice. I love the decoration and overall vibe it gives off. Haven't done any holding out spa services yet, but I will tomorrow. Right now my company is having a hackathon in the hospitality suite. I wish there were more outlets and stronger wifi signal. otherwise everything is pretty great!

Outstanding property, very attentive staff, and beautiful vistas everywhere you care to look. The food was great, both at the Clubhouse Grill and at Brock's.
The rooms were first rate, and nearly every amenity was thought of, and provided for in advance.

We needed a night away during a stressful move and The Renaissance Ross Bridge Hotel was just what the doctors ordered. Great room. Friendly staff. Awesome pool. And breakfast was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Uncomfortable beds on 5th floor. Was in town for a wedding and the kitchen closed down 2 hours early both Friday and Saturday nights. Slow bar staff. Day shift employees were extremely nice and accommodating!

Great room and staff very nice. Beautiful place to stay with a large outdoor pool and an indoor pool and hot tub. Had sitting areas outside with fires and/or heaters. The buffet was decent, but no meat options other than pork.

Gorgeous resort tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. It was a little difficult navigating to it because of a few closed paths. Arguably the grandest hotel I've ever stayed in. And that's saying something!

I lost my mother Jan 29th and we buried her the following Friday. We didn't have a place for a repass and my sister put in a call on Wednesday to make arrangements for my family. They called in staff that was supposed to be off that day, I heard that one of the chefs made a cake to bring in and EVERYONE was AMAZING. The staff was MORE than accommodating and super friendly and sensitive to our family. I wish I had pictures to show, but this is where you want to stay when you come to Birmingham. You won't be sorry!! Love, love, love this place!!!

Wonderful Staff! Had a problem upon arrival with no wash towels and very few towels but the nice gentleman went out of his way( sorry can't remember his name at the desk) Tiffany Porter delivered a hand written apology with 2 complimentary breakfast tickets. That was really thoughtful. I've visited several times in the past and have always enjoyed the beautiful property, complimentary bikes, fitness room very well equipped and spa is wonderful. My one concern : the rooms are getting worn for the price. Would recommend this property.

Beautiful Hotel. Out of all the staff I came in contact with, I can only praise a few. Had issues from the time we checked into our dirty room. Could never speak with management, they weren't available. Ordered food: took over an hour and wasnt what was needed. Security is slight, doors remain open all night, few security cameras and locals can freely use the amenities.

We were using spa and outdoor pool facility only. Food that we ordered by the pool came after 45 minutes, my burger was ok, my wife's bbq pulled chicken sandwich came completely cold...
Not sure if I would be using that service again...

The hotel has a great look and the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are great. But the food was awful. Ordered 2 different orders of room service and the first time we had over cooked chicken melted ice cream ( almost a liquid ). The next morning we ordered breakfast and received bacon that was very under cooked, eggs that looked and tasted like they were straight from McDonald's. We did not even eat a bite of this. I made a complaint of this and also wrote the manager and all I received in return was a " thank you for letting us know how to improve". If you are paying $500 for a one night stay with meals, you would expect the best food you can buy. I have stayed at a $59/ night hotel and had better service and food. Highly disappointing. Not a great way to spend a 10 year wedding anniversary, or $500. Again, the hotel is fabulous, but the food and service needs major improving. We will not be back.

Yesterday was my birthday . I wasn t staying at the hotel this time only the spa. Walked in and no one spoke . I found my way to the spa which I will say I was 10 mins late (my fault). One of my guest for the spa was missing . So of course it had to be paid for due to her not canceling her slot in time. I was cool with paying for the service but I figured so it wouldn t go to waste I would give it away to someone that walked in. Even thought about using it at a later date. None of those were a option . The receptionist really had a oh well you have to pay for it and get nothing for it type of attitude. Then my massage therapist hands were freezing ! I mean the entire massage was garbage and her hands still did not heat up with the oil . I ve had many massages but I am not a fan of Ross Bridge Spa at all.

Courtney Callis and the rest of the event management team made our wedding weekend absolutely amazing! We utilized Ross Bridge for our room block (40+ people), rehearsal dinner, and golf for all of the groomsmen. They also assisted us in coordinating a happy hour, welcome bags, and anything in between! Even through changes with COVID, the team was positive, responsive, and bent over backwards to ensure we were happy with every aspect of our weekend. I am eternally thankful for Courtney for making this process so smooth! She was truly a joy to work with and responded to all of my crazy calls and emails within minutes usually over the course of a few months. We made amazing memories at Ross Bridge that weekend with friends and family. Thank you Ross Bridge!

This place is my all time favorite so I hate to leave this review. I believe quality of customer service has gone down the drain since COVID 19. They allow kids to run though the hotel and take over the pool. This isn t a quiet place to rest and relax anymore. I check in ahead of time and wasn t made aware that they changed my room type reservation. When I asked for them to fix it, they said nothing could be done because they full. Remind you I was staying for two nights. This has been an horrible experience.

My family had their Thanksgiving Day Buffet at Ross Bridge. All the food tasted really good and the service was excellent. The buffet consisted of traditional Thanksgiving food, seafood, pasta, and breakfast foods.

You will not believe this if you stayed here before! I very very seldom leave a review but I m not letting this one go this place is managed by incompetents!! I had a reservation! When I arrived they said sorry we don t have the room you RESERVED! They wanted to give me a room 20 minutes away for free. I m offended at that I don t need free I need the room I booked! Well let me say this, first they told me no more rooms! I had to act ugly and and got another with the worst view in Alabama with the promise they would get me a better room tomorrow another lie!! I want and wanted Nothing else just the room I booked!! Also was told when I made reservations that the restaurants were open but that was a lie also!! Only one is open and not the good one! More later as I finish the most disappointing hotel stay I ve ever had and I ve stayed here several times and it was awesome! Management has gone in the crapper! More later when I finish my stay! This is awful and I m only on the second night!

I was very disappointed. Having enjoyed my stay at the Montgomery location I had high expectations. The beds were not comfortable, the walls were thin and the overall decor was outdated. I know room service costs can be high but 12.00 for a side of grits seems quite exorbitant!
Since I was staying for 5 days I would have appreciated being informed verbally about the 50.00 per day hold for incidentals. When I called to inquire about the charges I was told there was a placard on the front counter...guess I missed it. While the exterior was beautiful and the balcony was nice I wont be com

Booked hotel for a short weekend getaway.

The good:
Gorgeous property and hotel.
Great hotel staff.
Wonderful spa.

The bad:
Shower was literally unusable. Water temperature was either all the way cold or all the way hot.
Toilet would make a high pitched noise from time to time that would last several minutes.
Bath and sink were annoyingly slow to drain.

I'm sure that if I had brought the issues to the attention of the management, they probably would have moved me to another room. However, I did not realize the issues until we were already settled in the room and moving seemed like a hassle at that point.

Overall I think that the hotel was very impressive, but it is unfortunate to have so many issues with the bathroom when the room is as expensive as it is.

The pool and outdoor fire pits are beautiful and perfect gathering and relaxing outlets. The room we stayed in has a lovely balcony with small table and 2 chairs, perfect for romantic breakfast.

Let's establish the fact that it's going to be expensive. Its worth every penny. This is a resort by name and application. My experience was tied into work but every staff member from the front door to the range was friendly and accommodating. Melissa and her crews worked tirelessly to insure all were taken good care of. I highly reccomend using RB for your next function.

Despite having signs at all entrances requiring masks, employees and guests consistently did not wear them or, if they did, chose to not cover both mouth and nose. Most employees, also, did not understand the meaning of "distance" and came right up to us. It was frightening.

We wanted to be as safe as possible for a work trip during the pandemic, so we chose the Ross Bridge, since it has a few rooms on the ground floor, meaning we would not have to enter an elevator. Thankfully, the front desk manager blocked us on the ground floor, in the room we requested. We never assumed the bar (which we forgot we would have to walk by) would be in full swing, both nights, with unmasked revelers listening to live music.

As we were unloading our car in the parking lot, the loss prevention person drove right up to us in his golf cart, to ask if we needed something. The answer was Yes; we want you to stay 6 away from us.

We never imagined that both guests and employees would be such a hazard to our health. We planned to enter the hotel through the front, side door, with the handicap push button. It wasn t working. So we had to walk between two bellman, holding open the door. I doubt the doors are much wider than 8 , so that absolutely did not give us 6 of distance between us and either of the two bellmen.

It seems that the signs at the entrances must have required people to wear the mask to enter , but not while actually in the building, as we saw numerous guests walking around without masks. Both nights of our stay, we were greeted by the front desk agent, with her mask covering only her mouth.

We studied Marriott s enhanced cleaning policies before booking. We were comforted by them placing disinfecting wipes in each room for your use. (It was ONE wipe.) There could definitely have been more hand sanitizing stations, and, while the room was cleaner than usual, I spotted a previous guest s medication under the bathroom sink, and there was an old wrapper for something behind the bedside table.

Lastly, it seems that with all the downtime the hotel had during the initial quarantine, someone would have thought to use that time productively, checking each room for any maintenance/engineering issues. The entry light in the room was so dim it seemed like a haunted house, and the air conditioning made a terrible buzzing sound through the vents when it came on.

My family has spent at least 150 nights at this hotel since it opened. It makes me so sad to say we will not be back.

We didn't stay here we just visit the clubhouse for drinks and dinner on occasion. I'm rarely disappointed whenever I come here. The food was great. They have the best charbroiled wings in town. The staff is super friendly and the service is above average. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is it seems like they're always out of a draft beer almost everytime I come, yet the tap is still up so I dont know they're out until I'm disappointed while ordering it. It ain't rocket science. If you're out of a draft beer CAP THE TAP!
